You are cordially invited to the worst wedding of the century.Sydney Evans is no stranger to hard work. It’s the one constant in her life. And with no family or friends to speak of it’s been easy to pour everything she has into her career as general counsel for Blackstone Holdings. She wants for nothing. Until her boss offers her a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. All she has to do in return is … do in return is marry his good-for-nothing son.
Scott Blackstone used be a party whore. Pardon, party animal. He hasn’t been that guy in a long time though. Not since he moved to Wyoming, bought a failing cattle ranch, and turned it into a profitable business.
All is good. Until a phone call from his father threatens the quiet, simple life he’s built. Marry or lose everything. And to a woman who can’t stand him, no less. Well, Scott is not going down without a fight. He’s never going back to Manhattan. Not if he can help it.

This is a new to me author and I’m so glad I took a chance. I loved the blurb for this book and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.
Sydney didn’t have the best childhood and the minute she was old enough she left home. Years later she is loving life and her job. Her boss Frank who is like family to her dangles her dream job in her hands but it comes with conditions.
Scott is a rich handsome playboy who doesn’t want anything to do with his fathers business. He has made a name for himself in Wyoming and loves the ranch life.
When Sydney and Scott are thrown together you can feel the attraction. They are both so stubborn neither willing to give into what they were feeling.
I loved this book and can’t wait to read more from this author. If your looking for an enemies to lovers book this is the perfect one. I highly recommend it.
I’ve finally read my first P. Dangelico book and I have to say, I’m all in. It had all the makings of the perfect romance for me – two favorite tropes (enemies-to-lovers and marriage of convenience), swoon-worthy tension and tenderness, and convincing conflict. It also had some wonderful banter. On first impression, I was concerned that Sydney was going to be a hard heroine to connect with, but after she set foot in Wyoming, I was smitten. She was the perfect combination of strength, resilience and vulnerability. An excellent match for the stubborn facade that Scott was hopelessly aiming to maintain. Their chemistry was perfection and it took all I had in order to put the book down at any given point. I didn’t want the story to end, because who knew when I would get those delicious feels again. In the end, it was an easy and quick-like read without lacking substance and story development.
You Can Have Manhattan is a book full of surprises. I didn’t expect to be moved with laughter and tears, but I was. I love Sydney. She is more then what she appears. She is compassionate and loyal. She is sweet and caring. In this love/hate misjudging each other romance, you will fall in love with Sydney and Scott. They have this chemistry you can’t miss. The forced marriage may not go as planned but it brought this lovely slow burn that just grows. You feel for Scott in many ways. He is arrogant in some ways yet he has just this way that you don’t expect, a side that makes you love him so. I love Scott and Sydney together. You see the little things in this one that will make you love them so. You must read this one. I couldn’t put it down. Go one-click this one and fall in love with Scott and Sydney.
What an amazing read. You Can Have Manhattan is one of those books you’ll want to curl up on the couch and escape into the characters world. This is a very well written, fun, flirty romantic read that melted my heart. I loved the banter between the lead characters. I loved their push and pull, give and well sorta taking. The characters wormed their way into my heart and the more I read the more I wanted a happy solution for everyone involved.
Sydney’s strong, smart and wears a tough exterior, but inside she’s a very vulnerable woman thanks to her upbringing. She is career driven and when her boss and mentor offers her the one thing that would be her dream come true, she jumps at it. All she has to do is marry his son and stay married for at least 3 years. Piece of cake right? Nope, because first off Scott is known for the “player” that he is plus he wants no part of his dad’s scheme. So he plans a scheme of his own to get Sydney to change her mind. But who’s scheme wins out in the long run?
This was a laugh out loud storyline with times I just wanted to ring Scott’s neck. The characters won me over from the get go and took me on a fun emotional journey. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 stars for an outstanding read that I Highly Recommend grabbing up. You won’t be sorry you did.
4.5 stars. I loved Sydney. Despite her awful upbringing , she still was able to be open to a relationship. She discovered that she actually would like that. My issue was with Scott. He was so immature. What he did to Sydney when she got to the ranch was bad enough, but what he did wen he found out about his father was unconscionable. I don’y know how Sydney forgave him so easily.
All the stars!! A fantastic enemies to lovers storyline. Their chemistry is electric from the get go. Once that match lights, kaboom! I hated to love Scott and he definitely turned out to be so swoon worthy. Sydney is so strong, even with her broken past, and is a perfect match for Scott. Loved the witty banter, the back and forth and the sexiness that is them. I highly recommend this book.
6 Rainbow stars! This book was absolutely everything I love. The secrets, drama, tragic back story and angst! I could not put it down, but I didn’t want to end! I loved Scott and Sydney so much, the push and pull, resisting the chemistry and the eventual explosion when they finally gave in. What a fantastic book. I already want to read it again!
Sydney Evans has worked extremely hard to get to where she is in life today. She has a job that she loves and her mentor/boss is someone that she looks up to and would do anything for. When he calls her into his office he offers her something she has dreamed about, the only catch, she has to marry his son, Scott Blackstone. The Scott that Sydney remembers from her few encounters is a party animal with a penchant for hooking up with anybody. However, Sydney soon realizes that the boy she thought she knew is now a man running his own business.
Scott has stopped with his partying ways and now runs a successful cattle ranch in Wyoming. He enjoys his quieter life, and has no desire to ever return to the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. However when his father calls and threatens to derail Scott’s quiet life unless he marries Sydney, Scott begrudgingly agrees, but he won’t go down so easy. Can Sydney and Scott make this work so that they can get what they want, or will real life and feelings throw them for a loop?
This is only the second book that I’ve read by P. Dangelico and it was just as amazing as the first book I read. Absolutely captivated from start to finish, I had to know what was going to happen next and how things were going to work out. This was a book I wanted to savor and devour all at the same time! I didn’t want it to end because I loved these characters so much. The banter between Sydney and Scott was hilarious at times, and I absolutely adored the secondary characters in this book. This book was so well written and while there are definitely some not happy things that these characters had to endure it is still a feel good book in my opinion!
