I adored this enemies to lovers romance! These characters had me 100% invested in their rocky love story. I confess I have never been to Wyoming where most of this book takes place but now I would sure like to visit. Alas…Scott’s cattle ranch is fictional. Nevertheless the author’s description of this state and its beauty are so very intriguing…Scott is a reformed spoiled rotten, rich, panty melting playboy. His ranch has turned his life around and made him a different man. Our heroine is New York resident and attorney extraordinaire, Sydney Evans. She is smart, resilient, loyal to a fault, and “a thriver not a survivor.” Through various circumstances ( spoiler-free here) they enter into a marriage of convenience which may better be described for them as inconvenience. Having met years earlier, neither is a fan of the other. Syd met the old Scott and thinks he is a useless loser and he thinks she is a stuck-up ice princess. But first impressions begin to unravel as the book progresses and they get to know each other. Scott has become a different man and Syd hides her vulnerability and emotions with a cool and practiced visage. This author is an expert at stretching out that sexual tension until it finally snaps. Scott and Syd had tons of chemistry and when they finally connect intimately it is super hot. I loved the character of Syd to pieces. In her heart of hearts her deepest desire was to love and be loved. Scott acted like as ass a time or three, but he had his reasons and I got it, even while my heart hurt for Syd. And while bits of our story took place in New York, most of it took place in that wonderful small town in Wyoming with its memorable town folk. Sexy and emotional, I read this one in a day. I loved the epilogue so much I read it twice. Well done!

Dang I truly enjoyed this story. It first caught my eye when I was on the phone reading the blurb to my friend. It was worded perfectly but the blurb paled in comparison to the actual story.
In reality there were many truths to Scott vision of Franklin’s action but for some odd reason I think it was deeper than that. Him and Sydney needed to find each other, get to know each other and both heal. They were the therapy that money couldn’t buy. It was odd but refreshing. Funny as all get out as well as heartbreaking.
This a definitely an enjoyable read and on I recommend.
When Sydney is asked by her boss Frank to marry his son and to take his place as CEO when he dies, she is stumped at first. But she wants the job and remembering the son, Scott, from over a decade ago she understands his reasoning. Frank is terminally ill and doesn’t want his son to know.
Sydney thinks Scott has agreed to save his inheritance and Scott thinks Sydney just wants the job, but both are wrong.
At first Scott tries to outsmart Sydney when she stays at his place in Wyoming, but rather soon his feelings change. Sydney has a past that makes her want a real relationship, happiness and family and so, when things with Scott change, she is happy to go with it. But Scott doesn’t know about his father; will this sabotage their relationship?
I love the writing of this author. There is real struggle and background. I must say, I hated the conflict between Sydney and Scott. I had not expected this from Scott. But this author writes about real people who make real mistakes. So there.
One thing: I really did not like the role Scott’s family played. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but ungrateful lot, those people! (2019)
Clearly, I am the only one who did not love this book and that totally bummed me out because I wanted to love it not to mention the cover is PHENOMENAL!!
I do not want to ruin this for other people who might love it, so all I am going to say is this is a hard NO for me. No matter how much I tried I could not connect to either MC especially Scott. So yeah, that is all I am going to say sorry but no….

Este es mi primer libro de P. Dangelico. Creo que estaba viviendo en una cueva porque no descubrí antes esta joya.
¡ME ENCANTÓ!

This is my first P. Dangelico book. Was I living under a rock? I absolutely think so. Otherwise, I cannot explain how I didn’t read this gem earlier.
I LOVED IT! Everything about the book was amazing. The title, the cover, the blurb… and the content was as good or even better than the previously mentioned.
Adorable characters, amazing works building, the plot is original, funny and heartwarming. The text is written perfectly well, and the story has drama without other men and women involved (which I adored).
And the MCs… Scott and Sydney. I’M IN LOVE WITH THEIR LOVE. Their story has swoony moments, lots of romance, heartbreaking details and way to funny dialogues. Overall, this book contains everything amazing a book should have. An absolute 10.
Fake Marriage, Authentic Vows
You Can Have Manhattan was a heartfelt story about family, trust, and love. This marriage of convenience between two characters that dislike one another, is filled with emotion. Scott and Sydney have preconceived notions about one another. Sydney opens her heart to the possibility that Scott is a good man and perhaps their marriage may be amicable. Scott on the other hand, does everything he can to drive Sydney to divorce. He allows his ego and pride to work against his lust for Sydney. Just as he and Sydney start to move towards friendship and maybe more, an unexpected event makes Scott face his true feelings for his wife. The relationship between them builds and slowly burns into a wildfire. The passion and support for one another is magnificent. A secret threatens their blossoming love and just may shatter them beyond repair. Ms. Dangelico made my heart ache then hope then break and ultimately mend. The journey was one that made their HEA well worth it.
A beach read, romantic and entertaining. Perfect for quarantine tines
Really enjoyed this book
I liked this book cuz it’s a give and take relationship book with lots of adventure.. Two different locales make it interesting for this couple to grow into this relationship. I
I enjoyed the style of writing – since reading this book, I’ve purchased 3 more books by this author.
Fun story with main characters Sydney and Scott at odds in the beginning,,but come to find happiness even through an arranged marriage.
Great Story
Great story, and great characters.
It was a great enemies to lover book. You could really feel the emotions behind the characters. I recommend this book for anyone who likes characters with some depth.
Sooo good! Through misunderstandings, misperceptions, judgments and deceit, live prevails.
Great story with well evolved characters
Loved this book!
I held off reading this book for a time when I really needed a good romance. If a pandemic lockdown isn’t that time, I don’t know when would have been better. I have to say, I enjoyed the first half of this novel more than the second. I could get on board with a marriage of convenience, not my favorite trope but I do like them. This one had a sense of authenticity and you could see how their relationship could blossom. I think their attraction had been smouldering for some years, so when they succumbed to their feelings, it escalated quickly. It was fun to see them fall for each other. Scott was that spoilt brat turned playboy that only changed when he moved far away from Manhattan and it’s parting scene. After dealing with loss, he goes to Wyoming and finds his passion in farming. Sydney worked for Scott’s dad, and to keep the family business in the Blackstone name, he coerces them to marry. Maybe deep down, he was hoping that they might eventually act on the feelings they had years before. It worked for a while.
When things went south though, they went all the way to the Antarctic! I felt for Scott for being left in the dark on family matters, but he took his anger way beyond what I was hoping for. Sydney had had to deal with things her whole life and just when she thought she could trust someone, it was whipped out from under her. I literally had tears for her. Scott’s old persona was back, and he was mad. And true to Sydney’s character, she dealt with it as gracefully as she could. I’m glad he had to work extremely hard to win her back. The epilogue was a little different to what I was expecting but loved it all the same.
It’s been a long time since I’ve read a marriage of convenience/arranged marriage book. They’re usually not my favorite or my first choice, but when you throw in some massive hate vibes on both the main characters sides, you’ve got me interested. Big time!
This book was so, so good! I devoured it in a sitting. The characters were rich and intense in their dislike for each other and were imperfectly perfect for the other one.
This author has been on my “One to Watch” list for a few months and with this book she just made me a bonafide fan girl. I’ll be stalking her waiting for the next release. I. Need. More.
The only thing Sydney know’s how to do is work. She is best at it and she loves it.Her work is her passion and job at the same time,it’s what she loves. So when her boss offers her opportunity to become CEO of the company, she can’t refuse it even tho the price or that place is hard one to pay.She needs to marry Scoot Blackstone and stay married to him for three years in order to become CEO.This wouldn’t be a problem if Scott wasn’t the biggest asshole and playboy in the world. But when Sydney meets with Scoot and sees his true colors, she releases things are not exactly as she remembers them.
This book was great, but there was something missing. The usual tone that P. Dangelico sets was off.I just couldn’t feel the romance between Scoot and Syd.It came really late in the book. One moment Scoot was treating her really badly and in the second one he was falling in love with her.
Individually both Scoot and Syd were great. They both had stories that made them who they are. They were great.
I liked this book.
