You Are Dead. (Sign Here Please) is a madcap comedy of truly ludicrous proportions. After Nathan Haynes dies, he discovers that the afterlife is run by straight-laced bureaucrats, but when he refuses to sign his 21B he is punted back to life in his insane home city of Dead Donkey. He can’t rest easy, though – the bureaucrats are out to get him and they will put his papers in order, no matter the … the cost. Will our hero die (again)? Will the bureaucrats trick him into filling the proper forms in? Will Nathan ever get to do his laundry? Find out in You Are Dead. (Sign Here Please)!

Just not my cup of tea.
I found this book reminiscent of “Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” in its’ style and some if the humor. It’s a quick read, light and breezy.
Just kept reading. Hard to put down.
i couldn’t finish it, did not hold my interest
Interesting plot, but is sometimes a little to way out stupid.
Was not my kind of humor, and just a little stupid for my taste
Strange story but, a fun read!
My kind of humour – reminds me of Douglas Adams.
If you’re looking for a distraction, this book could work for you. Dry humor but some parts can make you think about life and death. Some parts have a resemblance of what is happening in today’s society. Interesting read. At least for me anyway.
dumb, or stupid or a waste of time
I tried to really like this book, but I had to force myself to finish it. The main plot was interesting and quirky, however I found it tedious to get through. It reminded me of Douglas Adams, but not quite all the way there (and maybe too many deep dives). I feel it went a little too in-depth on the ridiculous-ness of the town, and the characters Didnt catch my interest. It may be a brilliant look at how some minds place emphasis on details and stagnate on main events. (And the author may have done that on purpose from the perspective of Nathan, the main character)
I will be looking into the other books by this author before I take him off my list. I do like some aspects of his writing style.
This book just didn’t strike me as real. It felt as if the characters were something created on the fly…. Their words and actions seemed to drag me out of the story to wonder if anyone would really say or do that. I finally gave up on it. Maybe some other time when I’m so sleep deprived that anything will be funny. Maybe.
not much of a story line. sort of the same story over and over again. did not make much sense
Unrealistic. Boring, Repetitive. A waste of time.
A waste of time. Didn’t finish. Stupid.
Not interesting at all. Read half of it and gave up.
Didn’t bother finishing it.
Enjoyed a funny, non thinking read, liked it alot
Dumb. Couldn’t finish it.
You should really read this book. It is funny, interesting, weird, and makes you wonder why you are reading this. But at the end you will be laughing while you are wondering what in the world you just read. I can’t wait to read the next one.
