This is a brilliant read although not a quick easy one. A level of concentration is needed as the story is told from the points of view of each character and as such it is also important to pay attention to each chapter header.
That aside the amount of detail poured into each chapter is incredible and in no way causes distraction for the reader. …
Intriguing.
If you begin this series, you are committed to SEVEN books in total. The writer has put forth an interesting concept, but you have to pay attention to keep the characters straight. All, in all, I enjoyed the series.
Loved this book
I liked this book but you need to continue to read the next book in the series as this one has an ending that leaves you hanging
Great book and great book series. Awesome writers!
Great characters in a compelling sci-fi apocalyptic saga. Looking for Season Two as soon as I finished One.
The title on the audio book is Yesterday’s Gone Season 1, Episode 1 but I will do my review here.
I normally don’t read books like this but I was given the free audio book and listened to this today during the bad weather at home.
A hand full of survivors wake up to find the world empty of family, friends and neighbors. Each chapter is narrated …
Great characters and a well developed story. The series makes it ongoing. Hate to see it stop.
This is a great post apocalyptic tale! No zombies, because the majority of people vanished! So there is a different enemy—humans. Various groups come together while searching for other survivors finding disturbing tragedies along the way. I read the whole series and enjoyed it very much.
It’s a fun read, not groundbreaking, but a quick, enjoyable read.
I have the entire series. 4 Are audible and for some strange reason ,2 aren’t. I’m on the fourth novel in the series. I love it so far and can’t wait to continue and finish the entire series. I highly recommend these novels. Very interesting and not what I was expecting. Get them all and ENJOY!!!!!
I didn’t find this book good enough to keep reading. It introduced a lot of characters but after reading 10 chapters I still didn’t know why “Yesterday ” was gone and I lost interest.
good
Great series!
A good post-apocalyptic read, for those of us who enjoy “end of the world” scenarios. The cast is well orchestrated right up to the end. Book one does not resolve, but leads us into book two. There is a small resolution of sorts that will satisfy anyone who wishes to end it here. I think most will continue on… This is one of the better books by …
KINDA LIKE A CAR ACCIDENT, YOU JUST CAN’T NOT READ!!
I haven’t seen “Lost” or “The Stand”, and the best post-apocalyptic novel I have ever read, is the “Gone” series by Michael Grant. (I too loved Stephen King’s, “The Green Mile”, and bought them as they came out in novellas)!
Having just finished Season One, Episode One, I’m not quite sure yet …
Terribly disappointed in so much foul language that I couldn’t even read past a few pages in the first chapter.
