“If you were a color, what color would you be?” he asked me. “I would be a rainbow of colors. Whatever color people wanted to see, I would be it.”“I’m not asking what color you think other people want to see. Tell me what color you are – at your core?”And then it hit me. I had absolutely no idea because I didn’t know who I was at the core.Twenty-six-year-old Chloe Olsson, aka movie star “Cleo,” … Olsson, aka movie star “Cleo,” is caught in a toxic world of fans, paparazzi, and a money-hungry agent. Being the girlfriend of pop star Niko is no dream either, and his constant jealousy has caused her to go into hiding for a time.
Two weeks in the forest with famous Native American healer Onava was supposed to be a wonderful and relaxing detox. But when Onava is called away and her grandson Adam moves in to the small cabin instead, Chloe’s peace is over.
Adam is rude and unimpressed by her fame. And what’s worse is his ridiculous idea that she’s in this mess because she doesn’t know how to set her personal boundaries.
With only eleven days to teach her, he seems determined to give her plenty of opportunities to practice on him.

I received this book from bookfunnel for my honest review and have to say I’m proud to do so. First, let me say, I have a long Native American Heritage and parts of this storyline hit close to home for me. There were tears from sad truths and my chest puffed up with pride over varying parts. Thank you for that Elin. Cleo is a mega star actress voted sexiest woman in the world but she’s been in a mental, verbal and physically abusive relationship with a rock star for 2 years. This have steadily declined to the point she’s shot in the chest. Only by a miracle was it inched enough it didn’t go through her heart and she survives. Her twin Faith is so worried about her after she’s released from the hospital that she gets Cleo to promise to visit a Native American woman who can help her with her detox from the Hollywood existence and become more grounded. Two days after being there Onava must leave to tend to her sick mother and has made arrangements for her nephew Adam to come and pick up where she has left off. Cleo and Adam have met before but each are hoping the other doesn’t remember. Following these two through the journey they need to go through in order to grow individually to get to the HEA was a treasure that you won’t want to miss.
The only thing I didn’t like about this book is that it is the last of the series and I will miss these characters. I enjoyed the story from start to finish and love the author’s style of writing.
Chloe wasn’t an out there or super strong heroine but that didn’t matter, I didn’t mind that she so often needed approval from others, as this made the story work. She is an imperfect but likeable character and I enjoyed seeing her find herself.
Adam was so hot and passionate about life but at times was as shallow or judgemental as Chloe. I liked how he was the one resisting whilst she pursued what she wanted. Their connection was believable and so well portrayed.
There are some really good twists in the plot and I couldn’t predict how the story would unfold. The story is entertaining, well written and once I began the book I didn’t want to put it down.
This is the final book in the Clashing Colors series and does not disappoint. It is a stand alone with its own happily ever after, however there are cross-over characters and would be best if you read the series in order. Don’t worry. Each book is different and is not a “cookie cutter” type of story where just the names of the characters change. And speaking of characters, Elin Peer has a knack for creating ones that you can relate to and that are believable. Not every author can do that. I feel very fortunate that I stumbled across her Slave Series because I discovered a GREAT new author. I have thoroughly enjoyed every book that I have read by her (which is all of them!) and I anxiously await the next series.
Each color a different story, completely different than the one before it, each one touching home to the heart with an important message wrapped and delivered beautifully. Yellow is no different. We get to follow Chloe and Adam as they battle against the boundaries, prejudice, their past and predisposed beliefs. The healing that is needed isn’t one sided and neither is the story. While I was really about fed up with Adam, understanding the pain and narrow minded thinking of his past and his fight against his attraction to Chloe explain it all. There was lot of laughter reading this book especially the highlanders and Darren, I even caught myself snorting and just as quickly sniffling as the plight of Native Americans and their families and history was brought forth.
The extra that helped make this book an amazing read is why this author is so successful, because it is always a full well rounded story with no gaps. Absolutely beautiful. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Clashing Colors Series and all of the characters that made it special. I am ready for the next adventure this author will provide. I can hardly wait. I dare you to walk away untouched, Chloe didn’t.
