Things are really ramping up now. Raven finally connected with her wolf making that part of her life a little easier but now there are all kinds of other things going on. With her true mate by her side as well as her new loyal group of friends she will have to try to figure out what is going on with a secret society. This society is targeting half-breeds claiming they are in danger but Raven does not exactly agree with how they are doing things. The addition of another douchy character just ramps things up when he gets involved. Leads to one fascinating ending to say the least. A fast paced story that will keep you turning the page just so you can see what this group has to deal with next. Perfect for fans of paranormal romance. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Year Two (Bloodshed Academy) by Jen L. Grey this is book number two in this most amazing series that I have had the privilege to read. I fell in love and was hooked with book number one and then this story comes out and there just isn’t enough stars to give this amazing WOW book 5 stars just doesn’t do it justice it needs like 10 or 20 stars and this story just keeps getting better. I can not wait to read more. I guarantee if you buy this story you will not be disappointed and make sure you get book one or this one won’t be as good and I highly recommend this amazing WOW story.
I received a free advance reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest & unbiased review
this series continues to get better!
secrets are revealed, loyalties are cemented, family & pack are in question.
mixing species, hybrids, shady secret societies, enemies.
Who can be trusted? What are Raven’s parents hiding? Are the Elites trustworthy?
The 2nd book in series is full of shady situations and secrets are brought to the surface.
I can’t wait to read the 3rd book and I absolutely LOVE Cole!
Great Job Jen L Grey!
This is one hilarious and complicated series! The twists are very twisty and sneaky and so many wheels are spinning, that my theories have been bouncing around. And there truly is something to love about each unforgettable member of this mixed pack.
I’m kinda crushing on Cole. He’s just so funny and entertaining and has the best heart. He’s kinda blind sometimes as to how his words affect others though. He’s pretty charming and he’ll be the first to tell you that fact.
Raven is such a huge puzzle piece at the center of what’s happening. The plot isn’t fully formed yet, and I’m excited to see where we’ll go in the final book. I know that she’s more important then anyone yet knows and I’m truly so excited to get back to reading.
Damien, Jess and Rage are all pretty enticing too! They each have these vivid personalities that could not be more different. I absolutely love this series!! Jen L Grey is a phenomenal storyteller! One-click this unputdownable series right now! You have to meet these ah-mazing supes!
I enjoy this series quite a lot. The female MC continues to grow from book to along with her mate and besties. I’m glad the confrontation with her parents happened, I just wish we would have gotten the whole story and hoping to to get it in book three. This books shows the beginning of a speciest, corrupt society. I am hoping to get a definitive completion to this mater in book three as well. I’m overjoyed that Jess and Cole may have something budding. Cole is such an amazing character. Cole is so different from any other vampire character I’ve ever read, his antics often make laugh out loud. Cole isn’t the MC, but he is definitely my favorite. I was pleased with their conclusion about pack and why she wasn’t feeling rogue, because I personally hadn’t thought it.
I have high hopes for book three, but so far so good. Well written. Great characters. Lots of action.
Raven and the gang are back for another year at Bloodshed and things are even more dangerous than before.
Raven is now in sync with her wolf and her relationship with Rage is even stronger. They are such a cute couple and Rage is a supportive and caring mate. I loved getting to meet Rage’s family, it was interesting seeing another pack and their interactions. I am a little surprised by Rage’s decisions but not really because some of the attitudes in his dad’s pack are a little disappointing. I do like Rage’s parents, they seem like kind people who love and support their children.
However, Raven isn’t so lucky. Things come to a head in this book when Raven realizes her parents have been keeping things. Honestly, I don’t blame Raven for being upset. After finding something out and trying to discuss things with her parents they were still being difficult. It was a very frustrating situation, that wasn’t resolved but I feel is key in the story. Raven also has had her views challenged in this story and is starting to see things a little differently.
Raven’s group is great, I love them all. Damien is stead as usual and makes a great alpha, Jess is going through somethings and in turn, turning away from Raven which is so sad because I love her connection with Raven. As for Cole we finally get pieces of his backstory, I already love Cole and his crazy antics but learning about his family just endured me to him even more. I need a happy ending for all but especially him.
I had a problem with the Raven-Jordan interactions. I didn’t like how Raven trusted Jordan, someone who is mean to her, and still treats her with disdain. It didn’t make sense for her to trust Jordan or people associated with Jordan. Raven’s guard should have been up from the beginning and made her question what was happening right away.
Something that I did love was how Jen tackled how people can be both sympathetic and believe all people are the same, on equal levels but then on the other hand see other things in such a negative light. Just because someone is nice, means we’ll doesn’t mean they are totally enlightened, that they can’t still work on how they see things.
The story is pulling together in this one, Raven’s parent’s secrets are being revealed little by little, the shady stuff going on at the Academy is starting to make sense, and the Elites are more active than ever. While I did see where the story was headed (is heading) it didn’t hurt the story, I was still invested in the characters, interested in how the story gets to its conclusion.
Bloodshed Academy Year Two was great, I loved the conflict, romance, friendship, and mystery. After the crazy events at the end of the book and the pieces finally coming together for Raven and Rage at the end, I’m excited to see how things play-out. The story concludes in Bloodshed Academy Year Three and I can’t wait.
Wow! I am at a loss for words. Year Two begins with as much drama as year one ended with! Raven & her friends take a road trip to Nashville to see her parents, while there they run into the future Alpha of her parent’s pack & Raven’s ex-boyfriend Greg with his gang of meatheaded (for lack of a better term), wolves. They think that Raven has betrayed them & Greg by going to Bloodshed Academy as well as leaving him for her True Mate. This leads Raven to leave her pack which cuts her off from her parents telepathically & starts a downward spiral in the relationship with her parents. With the group being called back to Bloodshed they escape an even more awkward situation with Raven’s parents for the moment.
While Raven continues to train she is uncertain about her plans for the holidays, Rage does not doubt about where they are going to spend their Christmas. This decision leads to a shocking discovery from Rage’s mother Audrey about Raven’s mother Liz, which creates an even larger rift between the family than there was before. Now with confirmation that Raven’s parents attended Bloodshed, it just brings to light even more information that Raven is being kept in the dark about. Will Raven’s parents ever let her in on what they’re hiding? Will they ever get farther into the Secret Society of the Elites? What is the society up to & can they stop them as well as free those taken?
Even more, action-packed drama than Year One & we’re left with more questions than answers with another well-written cliff-hanger by Jen L. Grey
While Jen did an amazing job WRITING Raven & her group, Brittany Goodwin’s voice acting abilities give the group so much more character & depth. While I can picture a character fairly well I don’t always get how they would sound when I’m reading. Brittany does an amazing job giving each character their own voice that I feel matches their personality perfectly. I do have to say that Jess’s voice is still my favorite out of the group that Raven has made her family simply because she sounds the way that I think a fae should sound & it also doesn’t hurt that the way she is voiced reminds me of Luna Lovegood! 10/10 definitely recommend adding either the audiobook or paperback version to your to be read list!
Raven, Rage, Cole, Damien, and Jess pull you in right from the start and will leave you wanting more. This book has everything you could ask for in a book plus more. You will laugh out loud, want to cry, and your emotions will be all over the plac, and you won’t be able to stop reading till the end and even than you will want a whole lot more and I can’t wait to read the next one.
Once again Jen L. Grey hits it out of the park! Fast paced, page turner with action, intrigue, drama, romance, a bit of sass that draws you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat through the whole book! Starts where book 1 leaves off with the Elites seeking Raven to join the group. The Elites aren’t the good guys, they are doing something to the hybrids…..so Raven and Rage go along for the ride to collect intell. Raven and her crew make a trip to see her parents while there they have drama with her ex Greg. Raven also gets to meet Rage’ s parents. I love the dynamic between all of the friends. I hope Cole and Jess figure things out, I’m liking them together! I can’t wait to read the next book! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Year Two picks up around a year later from Year One. Some secrets are revealed in this book but it still keeps the suspense surrounding Raven and also the elites. Raven and Rage make the perfect mated couple but I have to say Cole is an all time favorite for me. His character in this book had me laughing out loud on numerous occasions. I’m seriously hoping he gets his own book. The characters are great and the storyline fun with a little intrigue. Fun read!
So you wouldn’t think this series could get better, cause as you know book one was supercalafragalistic, but it does get better! Raven is getting in deeper with the Elites, there is a secret romance brewing, and people and things are not what they seem. There is plenty if action going down as well. Be prepared for a roller coaster of emotions while reading this book. It’s a fantastic continuation of book one. I absolutely am foaming at the mouth for book 3. Also this series has the potential to branch off and become a world her readers could continue to dive into.
Year 2 is the second book in the series and must be read in order. This book takes off where book 1 ended and is Raven’s second year at the exclusive school. Where book one exposed family and school secrets, book two shows that not everything has been exposed and there are still questions needing answers. Read to find out how Raven, her roommate, and the elite three handle those truths. Education doesn’t always come from a classroom
I love that year 2 continued right where year 1 left off. I was enthralled, once again, from the very beginning. I love how the Raven’s story is unravelling with mystery. I am so excited ad eager to see what is next for Raven and everyone! You have to read this series, I promise that you will not be disappointed!
In going into Year Two I wasn’t sure what to expect. Truthfully I felt Grey had tied things up nicely…oh wait…who in the he** are the elite and what do they want?! Also, Raven’s parents are sketchy AF! Grey brings all of this out in Year Two! Let’s also mention the crazy antics that make up Cole. This series is one of my new favs!

Lies and deception
Racism rears its ugly head in Year 2. Who are “The Elite” and why are they so keen to get Raven on-board? Can they be trusted?
Raven is pulled in so many directions and it seems even her parents and best friend have been keeping secrets from her.
Year 2 doesn’t disappoint and I was happily dragged back to the Academy.
Oh, Cole. He is so funny. Still my favorite character. Raven and Rage’s relationship moves forward with some issues with her original pack. The group of friends are still together and realizing that they are more. More is revealed about Raven’s past. Story is fast paced.
Book one was absolutely amazing, and this one is even better. Raven and Rage are just amazing together and the rest of their friends make me want to be part of their pack to. The mystery surrounding Raven just keeps getting more and more interesting and intense. The fact that weird stuff keeps happening around her just makes it even more intriguing.
I absolutely love this series and I can’t wait for the next one
An academy to die for!
Year two gets even better! More drama, laughter and full of action!! Bloodshed has some shady stuff going on and the seriousness of “half-breeds” takes over the academy. This unique pack of friends had to make hard choices and find the truth.. and risking their lives to do so! I enjoyed every minute of it, especially their friendship and loyalty. Its so hard not to like them all when they keep you giggling, entertained and swooning hard!#JoinThem#MustRead!!
