My name is Yolanda. I look like I’m in my twenties, but I’m not. I look human, but don’t let that fool you. I’m unlike any other supernatural out there. I can’t fly, I can’t move objects with my mind, and I can’t read minds. What I can do is dream. I am a dream jumper. I can travel to parallel dimensions and see worlds most don’t even know exist. I’m also a hero. I’ve saved this dimension from … destruction once, and now I have to do it again.
Grim Reaper Academy is my destiny. When I get the letter in my mailbox, I know it’s time for me to continue the legacy of my cousin, Mila Morningstar. She left some things unsolved. I’m not worried. I’ve had two centuries to prepare. It should be easy enough to save the world again. Now, if only the two VDC A-holes – an incubus and a sphinx – would stay out of my way, and the hot PE professor – Unseelie, descendant of Gilgamesh himself, they say – wouldn’t trip me at every step. It’s like they don’t want me to kill the monster hiding under the Academy.

This novel is an interesting beginning of what seems to be an interesting side arc to the Grim Reaper Academy. It picks up almost 200 years in the future with Yolanda receiving her invitation to the academy. This book seems to give a good introduction to the new story arc in the series. I cannot wait for the next.

First a quick intro: this serie a continuation from the Grim Reaper Academy trilogy. It can be read as a stand alone as there is enough background information, but that also takes away most of the fun of reading the first trilogy (you will still have to read it for all the details), so I highly recommend to read the story in order. It will be worth it.
Now for this book, we get a new main character that joins Grim Reaper Academy 200 years after the first trilogy (though she also has a major role at the end). She is also human but is kept alive because she has a mission to fulfill. One that doesn’t involve getting through her classes because after all this time, she knows more than even her teachers. Everybody has a love/hate relation for her and navigating those mood swings will be challenging when she doesn’t know anybodies true motivations.
Prepare yourselves for a great story full of mysteries.
This is a fantabulous spin off from the grim reaper academy series! It grabs you from the very start with its action, adventure, fast paced and dramatic storyline! Filled with magic, twists and turns and some hot hot hot guys and a little sass I am looking forward to reading more!
Year One: Dreamers – A Reverse Harem Bully Romance by Cara Wylde is a wonderful stary that I have read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series and I can not wait to read book number two. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about Paranormal romance.

Yolanda has grown up a lot since we first met her in the Grim Reaper Academy series. Now is time once again for a new class of Reapers to begin their training and Yoli is among them. There are actually 2 humans in this class of reapers, Yolanda and Hayley. These two become friends and start navigating their way through the classes and supernaturals in school.
The story pulled me in and just kept going until the end. I couldn’t put it down and can’t wait to read the next one.
After reading and loving the original series I was looking forward to this book and I am happy to declare that it more than lived up to my expectations. Once again our intrepid heroine faces bullying, being the only one different and trying to find her place but she is strong and brave and if anyone can achieve what they set out to do its her. The characters are fantastically crafted and will soon feel like old friends. The story is fast-paced and hugely entertaining with bucket loads of emotion.

Love this story. It’s a spin off of the Grim Reaper Academy and is just as great as that series. These characters in this one are some I really enjoyed and just couldn’t put down.
This is the 1st book in the Grim Reaper Academy Legacies series. This book has a little of everything in it. This story is very well written and I loved Yolanda and the rest of the characters. A book I would definitely recommend reading.

Some sections were over detailed
Towards the end it felt like it missed something or was missing something
Like many authors she grabs you slowly but keeps you
this series though harems aren’t my cup of tea I would recommend and continue to read

There are books on all types of academy: demigods, faeries, shifters, hybrids, Vampire’s, witches and Warlord’s, so why not an academy for Grimm Reapers. Afterall, someone with the power of death should be trained, right?! And if you think this academy is a walk in the park, then you better hope you are not enrolled in it or you are in it for a rude Awakening.

Yolanda is taking over for her Aunt Mila Morningstar at the Grim Reaper Academy. While at the Academy Yolanda is trying to learn as much as she can but as always there are distractions. This book is well written, has well developed characters and unexpected twists that pulled me into the story. This is a great start to the series and that cliffhanger ending left me anxious to read the next book in the series.
OMG, a cliffhanger! We have some suspense, bulling, love/hate relationships and more. I will say the story will make more sense to you if your read the Grim Reaper Academy about Mila first. Yolanda is a dreamwalker like her cousin Mila. Yolanda was also the one that killed Mila’s father Morningstar. She has plans to go to the Grim Reaper Academy like her cousin, but she wants to do more. Of course she has the jealous problems of girls, because of VDC guys and of course a hot professor. What will she do to kill the undead monsters? What problems will these guys cause? Can They protect her or will she kill them before they can? Can she figure out the other dimensions? So many questions and now I have to wait for the next book.

I really enjoyed reading this year 1, it has a good storyline, it is entertaining and filled with adventure. The chemistry and interaction between the characters is wonderful. I can’t wait for more in this series from. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
I’m so excited that Cara is giving us a second round at the Grim Reaper Academy. This time we are hanging out with Yolanda, Mila’s cousin.
With ulterior motives than becoming a grim reaper, she takes us for a rollercoaster ride as she adjusts to the academy.
I have a feeling this series will be another one that pulls me in and holds me to the end!
This is the start of a series that continues from a previous series in the future.
Yolanda is a fun character, a human but not quite normal.
It’s an easy, fun read and the characters entertaining. Some you will love and others love to hate.
Great story, I loved it.
Yolanda is a dream jumper and can travel to parallel dimensions and see worlds most don’t even know exist. Now she is following in her aunt Mila Morningstar’s footsteps and attending Grim Reaper Academy. She is confident and feisty and ready to take on whatever comes her way . . . and she won’t have long to wait!
This is a wonderful continuation of the Grim Reaper Academy stories and will easily become a new favorite. Grab your copy and enjoy the well-written story that will capture the reader from the first page to the last. Don’t miss this one!
Book review of Year One: Dreamers (Grim Reaper Academy: Legacies #1) by Cara Wylde

First, I did not realize this was a continuation to the original series Grim Reaper Academy but I think I was able to read this quite well without having read the previous books. Legacies follows Mila’s cousin Yolanda as she starts her time at the Academy and what shoes Yoli has to fill!
This book moves along at a great pace, making for an easy and enjoyable read overall. It is also a well written book; with reintroductions to some of the old favorite cast of characters as well as introductions to new colorful characters that spice things up! So far it as been a brilliant new adventure at the academy many know & love.
I found it to be fantastic read but watch out for the massively dramatic cliffhanger.

Yolanda is unsure if she wants to go to Grim Reaper Academy, but she decides to go, even though she knows the other supernatural beings going there are not going to make it easier for her. She is only one of two humans in an Academy, so she is already as a disadvantage, because the others have special skills to help them. I loved this first book of what looks to be a fantastic new series, Yolanda isn’t afraid to fight, but would rather get along and I loved following her along with her fantastic tale. I need to know what happens next, I hope the next book is soon.

Yolanda has big shoes to fill, her aunt is Mila Morningstar, and now it is her turn to attend Grim Reaper Academy. She has been expecting the letter for a long time, and when it finally arrives, she has her doubts. The last thing she expected was VDC bullies, a sphinx and an incubus. Then there is the hot new PE teacher, an Unseelie, and he seems to hate her, and she can’t believe she is attracted to them.
Wonderful characters, fascinating, unique, and well written. Yolanda doesn’t really think the Academy has much to teach her, but in order to rid the world of the beast living under the school she needs to be there. Wow, exciting plot with plenty of surprising twists that kept me reading into the early morning hours. Fantastic book, I loved it!
