Great book, Sue Grafton is a fav of mine.
Very good author
Sue Grafton continues to be a reliably fascinating author, and Kinsey Milhone has earned her place as a close member of my girl-tribe. I’m devastated that there are only 26 letters…
Readable, but not one of the best.
This was a fun book that was hard to put down.
It was well written but such a depressing subject.
If you are a Sue Grafton fan, you just have to complete the series.
A poignant end to this wonderful series. It was a great story with a twist at the end. We will miss you Ms. Grafton!
She Grafton never let her readers down. Sorry that this was her final book. I’ll miss Kinsey.
I normally like Sue Grafton books but this one had a lot of foul language so I can not recommend this book for those reasons.
It was different in that it bounced back and forth between time. The people when the crime happened and Kinsey’s investigation of the crime currently. Not as much of a cliff hanger as you got a grasp pretty early who was involved and which of the characters were likely to have “done it”. Harder to stay interested in this one, I personally prefer the earlier style of writing in the Kinsey series.
While not the best book in the series, this novel was a good read. I am glad that Sue Grafton was able to complete an open story line with Kinaey. I will miss Sue Grafton!
I enjoyed this book and would have liked to have read more of Kinsey’s adventures. The format is different in this one, jumping back and forth from 1979 to 1989. Effectively it is two stories in one. Grafton handles it well.
Love all of the alphabet books of Sue Grafton. Have only missed two of them – X and Z.
Liked it. Have read all of her books.
Going to miss the “Z” book. I’ve read every book in This series. I love the easy to read format, the down to earth characters, the twists and turns that lead to the conclusion. Kinsey has plenty of flaws that keep her interesting. I recommend this book to any fan of thrillers.
If you have never read any of Sue Grafton’s alphabet books, read this one. If you have read any of Sue Grafton’s alphabet books, read this one. She is a treat to read. As one critic said, “Too bad there are not more letters in the alphabet”.
This was nothing like her previous books—I can only guess it was ghostwritten. Foul language, poor story line.
There was much repetition of events from the past. The author seems to have run out of steam.
Have read A through Y and enjoyed every minute. So sorry that there won’t be a Z. Farewell Kinsey Milhome. We spent a lot of great hours together.
