Sorry to see this series end; have been with it since the beginning. This book was “ripped from the headlines” very reminiscent of the Kavanaugh hearings, although with a second story line. I’ll miss Kinsey Milhone, one of the great characters in fiction.
I’ve read all of Sue Grafton’s books and am NOT looking forward to the end of the alphabet!
I love Sue Grafton’s novels, and this last novel is no exception. I was so sad to hear of the author’s death. This is the last Sue Grafton novel, and our last excursion into the world of Kinsey Milhone.
Light and an easy read
This is the next to last Sue Grafton novel showcasing Kinsey Millhone. This book showed her on a little different light, and she essentially said goodbye to a former and potential future suitor, it was a great book. This series makes one wish there were more than 26 letters in the alphabet! Maybe Ms Grafton will start on numbers and we can read about Kinsey Millhone phase II.
Love her books. Will miss them.
So sorry this is the last of the series due to the passing of the author. If you haven’t read all of the series, go to A is for Alibi and start from the beginning.
Loved Sue Grafton, will miss her.
Great author. Too bad about her death
I really enjoyed this book. The character development was outstanding. It was scary in parts and funny in parts. Good job.
Excellent…have read the entire series, so far. I’m waiting for Z, but with mixed feelings as I don’t want the series to end!
Bittersweet reading the last of the series. Have enjoyed the characters for many years. RIP Sue Grafton.
Love the main character Kinsey Milhone!
Follows the characters of her other abc novels. A mystery of Who is the real killer and why without being too graphic and how to catch him/ her
Loved this book. One of my preferred authors.
””’well written, but not Gtafton’s best.
I’m aware this is her last book and looked forward to reading. I don’t care what awards it may have won, simply found it boring, long winded and very formulaic. Only enjoyed about the last 20 pages, found myself skipping over endless pages of descriptive scenery. Also thought it read much like her other books with just changes to names and places, in other words, highly repetitive. I was truly disappointed, perhaps health issues affected her writing. Truly sorry there will not be a conclusion to the series, certainly enjoyed the others.
I have followed Kinsey from the letter A and always enjoy this series.
Another great Grafton alphabet Kinsey Malone book. I hate they will end. So sorry her passing will leave a void for her faithful followers.
It’s been a while since I’ve read a Milhone book, but this one was one of the best. The story was good, the established characters were true to form, and the new ones were a good add. Kinsey’s snarky humor had just the right edge without being harsh. I hate that this is the last book we’ll get from Sue Grafton.
