It is so hard for me to process the idea that Sue Grafton is dead and Kinsey Millhone will never solve another case. This was Grafton’s most complex entry to the series, bringing together characters from previous books and leaving many questions unanswered. The storyline involving Fritz and the blackmail plot was suspenseful and came to an infuriating but realistic conclusion. Hopefully in heaven, Ms. Grafton is enjoying the smell of Henry’s home baked bread and avoiding Rosie’s awful concoctions.
I sincerely hope this is not her last book.
Thanks for fun entertaining books
Another great Kinsey Milhone story. I am very sad that Sue Grafton passed away before completing the “Alphabet Series” and tied ip Kinsey’s life.
This book is non-stop action.
I shows you when something happens—what the fallout it.
Some of the things I figured out and when I thought I knew what was going on—-I was surprised that I was wrong.
We will forever miss Sue Grafton.
I loved the entire series. Kinsey was a great character and easy to relate with. I am sorry there will be no “Z” or the alphabet starting over.
A lame ending to an overall great series
It was Sue Grafton’s longest book and last book(543 pages). She passed away in December, 2017. She had at least 3 different storylines(because of the length of the book).
Sadly, not Grafton’s best.
I found myself skipping pages, too much meaningless descriptions.
love all her books
I have read all of her ABC books and am sad she is no longer with us to write more!
I’ve read them all
It is sad to say good-bye to Kinsey but I am happy that Sue Grafton didn’t have to make a choice about whether or not to kill her off!
I have read all of Grafton’s books-A thru Y.
PI Milhone is a very realistic character. Amusing but a great crime solver.
I was distressed to learn of Grafton’s passing. There will be no Z to complete this very enjoyable series.
Sad sue is gone
All the twists and turns you’d expect from Sue Grafton. Sad there will be no more.
I have read every book from A to Y and always enjoy Sue Grafton’s work. This book was no exception.
Somewhat disappointing and long-winded
I have enjoyed all of her books. Solving the mysteries are entertaining but not complicated. I am sorry the author died and there will be no more.
