So, so bummed we will never have a “Z is for…”!
Will miss Ms. Grafton and now we will never know what Kinsey is doing in “Z”.
I love the Sue Grafton alphabet series. Stayed up way too late to finish this one!
Disappointed. The book was not her best. It dragged on with useless information and not a fan of back and forth in time. I ended up skipping pages.
All her “alphabet” books are great reads!
I have read all of her books and love all of them.
If you’ve been reading Sue Graftin’s series, you’ll like this one, too. Easy reading.
I did not like this one as much as others in the series. The parts that went back in time were not well done, in my opinion. I kept thinking, yeah, I already know that and wondering why there was so much repetition of info if not just to lengthen the number of pages. And, seriously, why won’t that woman ever learn to call for backup instead of rushing headlong into danger all by her lonesome? There was even a time or two that the detective on the case could have and should have insisted on it. Pretty stupid if you ask me.
Took a long time to develop the plot
I’ve had this book on my Kindle for over a year. I just kept putting off reading it because I couldn’t bear to say goodbye to Kinsey Millhone. Sue Grafton’s series was the first series that I started reading back in 1994.
I lived in Louisville, KY (my hometown and Sue’s) and the Courier-Journal had an article about Sue’s latest book. I liked mysteries and decided I should try one by this “hometown girl”. I was immediately hooked, went back and read “A is for Alibi” and worked my way through the alphabet.
It has been an absolute joy reading Sue Grafton’s novels about Kinsey Millhone. I will miss them both.
So sorry there will be no Z!
Sue Grafton’s usual excellent story telling.
I love all the Kinsey Millhone books. Too bad we’ll never get to Z.
Fun, light reading.
Being the last book Sue Grafton finished before her way too early death, I’d put off reading this for quite sometime. I couldn’t bear for the Alphabet Series to end. But it was my favorite. She brought in some unexpected humor and a dog! I don’t remember a dog in the other books. I will believe that Kinsey Milhone went on to find a worthwhile partner and she now lives in Henry’s house. After all, we can’t expect him to be 120 years old. It has been a wonderful series and characters I will never forget. Thanks Ms Grafton!
Sue writes great books
I’ve read all of Grafton’s books. I’m sorry there won’t be any more. She will be missed.
I love Sue Graftons charackters
Too much unnecessary description.
Not worth the time
