Sometimes, you have to let fate carve out a path and see where it follows. But taking that initial leap of faith is difficult when you’ve tumbled in the turmoil of your past and you know just how much it hurts to relive it. I get it. I’ve been there. I’ve made my fair share of mistakes when it comes to the dating department. And as far as I’m concerned, most men are complete assholes. So why … are complete assholes.
So why should I waste my mine?
It’ll always end the same.
Or, at least, that’s what I kept telling myself as I kept my head down and focused on becoming a veterinarian.
Forget them, I repeated over and over again.
You don’t need them.
How many times have you cried for them and they never shed a single tear for you?
Maybe that voice in the back of my head had a point but what’s the point of living if you’re always on your own?
Because, trust me, being alone sucks.
And the constant silence of an empty apartment is a surefire way to insanity.
So, why am I so opposed to Dr. Goodman?
The dreamboat that fell out of the sky and practically landed on my lap due to a little airplane mix up.
Because I’m afraid that he’s going to turn out like every other lowlife that’s ever shown their interest in me.
And I’m not about to get my heart broken by a surgeon even if he knows how to stitch it back together again.
I think I’ll just save myself the pain.

As an independent Veterinary student going back to Maine for the semester, Winter takes a step back in a Florida airport only to fall back and be caught by Dr. Reed Goodman. The handsome surgeon is flying north to start a job at a new hospital. Although she feels the electric chemistry between them, she tells herself their chance meeting, was just that. At least until a change in her flight home bumps her up to first class on a new plane and right into the lap of the beautiful surgeon. The same surgeon who saved her from a cracked skull moments earlier. As they begin to talk, Winter discovers Dr. Reed’s new job is in her hometown.
I loved this story. Winter’s doubts in taking a chance on love after being heartbroken many times before is inspiring. XOXO, Winter is the reason I read and write romances. It allows us dream and manifest the love we crave. You won’t be disappointed. Coincidentally, you can pick up this book in its boxset, Seasonal Love, along with its other two mates, Sincerely Summer and Love, Autumn for 99 cents on Amazon.com until October 1, 2019.
I’m giving this book 4 stars. XOXO, Winter is a fun read for a cool weekend. If you’d like to see my other reviews, follow me on Goodreads or Bookbub.
WOW! Miss Bloom you have DONE it again!
This story grabbed my heart and just wouldn’t let go!
I love what you did with WInter and all her trials that she has gone through and the BUMP and CHAT that started it ALL! Your writing is beautiful and with a sizzle that many authors have a hard time relaying in their stories. Yours Definately DON’T have that problem. I enjoyed this story so much it will be on my reread list for the future and I know I will be recommending this story to everyone i know.
I am voluntarily reviewing an ADVANCED READING COPY.
An unexpected meeting had these two getting to know each other. Things slowly blossom and when Winter is in an uncomfortable situation, Reed steps in to help. A wonderful romantic story about fate and true love!!
Winter is a vet student who had been visiting her mother in Florida and is trying to make her way through the airport to catch her flight back to Maine. When Winter finally gets to her gate, she learns that her flight has been overbooked and they offer her a ticket to fly first class so having never flown in first class Winter gladly accepted the offer. As she is walking away to grab a snack, she is accidentally run into by this good-looking guy who she swears must be a model. They instantly fall into casual conversation and he ends up buying her snacks
When take off time arrives who is Winter’s set next to none other than the hot guy she stumbled over earlier. Again, they seem to hit it off, learning they will both be heading to the same town.
Reed finds Winter funny and down to earth and he likes that about her and hopes to possibly get to know her better. Winter is really focused on her school and is determined to become a vet, but she’s not ready for a relationship because of being hurt in the past. She has a hard time trusting that there are any good guys out there.
Reed and Winter’s story is so sweet and how they met was what I liked the most. They have amazing chemistry and the characters really compliment each other and I loved watching their relationship grow and the love for one another get stronger. The story line has drama, some suspense and surprises that will keep you interested from the beginning. I didn’t want to see their story end that’s how much I liked Reed and Winter.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
