Lost. Tormented. Alone. Xav, battle warrior of Pleasuros, has suffered for centuries in a prison of his own making. Without hope, without his brethren, without freedom, his long life is no longer worth living. Until he’s released with a rush of pleasure unlike any he’s ever known. Gerti had no idea her antique store find contained a being so massive, so sexy, and so… massive, so sexy, and so…virile. Now that Xav is free, she’s thrust into a world where aliens exist, and this one serves only for her pleasure.
XAV is the first book in the Pleasure Invaders series. Each book follows a different Pleasuros alien.

Xav helped by a troubled women, after being on the run with his brothers. There is war, fighting and danger. I enjoyed reading this story. I look froward to more.
Interesting premise
—>>> Review Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars – Xav and his brothers are on the run, and Xav finds himself separated from them, and misused in violent sexual acts, something he was powerless to stop. He is finally released from his prison by a woman who has her own issues. As a green-skinned alien lover was not something she anticipated, they both find themselves in danger when her ex discovers Xav with her. This was an interesting premise to the story, which I felt could have benefited from firmer descriptions, but I do hope to read more details of these Pleasuros warriors seeking a new planet to call their home.

The first book in the Pleasure Invaders series by an Author I have not read before and it looks like this is her debut book. Xav and Gerti’s story is short but packs alot of story into those pages. I will be looking for more in this series.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I am usually not one for “alien romances” but this premise caught my attention so I decided to give it a try. I AM SO GLAD I DID. I absolutely could not put this story down. I read A LOT of books and this stands out as one of the best I’ve read in a while. The premise and plot line are exciting and interesting and the chemistry between Xav and Gerti? Off the charts HOTTTT!! I absolutely cannot wait to read more in this series, KEK’s story cannot come soon enough!!

Trying to understand the beginning of the book took a bit. It seemed like the warriors were either going to war, fleeing from a war or something to that effect. All we get is a yelled command for the warriors to harden. Then when Xav is awakened we follow him as he goes through different time periods on earth.
It’s unclear at one point if he himself sexually assaulted young women during a particularly violent part of human history (seemed like it may have been when the Aztec or Mayans were in power), or if he was used to assault these women it’s a bit murky in that area. There are many other things that he does that we have no context or explanation for.
When Gerti finally frees him we get a quasi explanation but so much is still left unclear. Gerti is a 36y/o freshly divorcee although at times in the story it sounds like she isn’t fully divorced as said ex shows up to cause drama saying she didn’t sign something. She is only thirty-six and she makes herself sound like she’s in her eighties or ready to be put up on the shelf, she’s all wrinkly she gripes at one point, I mean she’s only thirty six for Pete’s sake.
Xav is very grateful to be out of his little box, which sounds like it might be in the shape of a pleasure toy, but it said wooden box in the story and that doesn’t sound like a phallic shape. Once Gerti gets over Xav being a big green guy, these two enjoy each other physically. Xav is enamored and lets Gerti know that his only mission from now on is her pleasure and protection.
After what sounds like a bit of a loveless marriage Gerti is feeling a bit insecure and is hesitant to fully believe Xav. Myself I wonder if Xav isn’t just overtly grateful he now is at full strength and is using Gerti’s lust to power himself up.
Like I said the ex shows up and causes a bit of drama, once he sees Xav protecting Gerti he of course gets mean and nasty to Gerti name calling her and making fun of Xav being green.
Then the story seems to time hit the cliché of bad movies and the mad scientist as Gerti and Xav are now on the run. In this day an age of Cos-play, people painting themselves for their favorite sports teams, actors prepping for a role, bedroom role play you don’t automatically think alien when you see that at least I probably wouldn’t.
So while it’s cute how protective Xav is of Gerti and how much these two enjoyed each other the story needs a bit of beefing up to make it not seem like a badly acted cliché old time sci-fi movie where you have to suspend belief for pretty much all of it.
