“An inventive plot and incisive character studies elevate MWA Grand Master Grafton’s twenty-fourth Kinsey Millhone novel…This superior outing will remind readers why this much-loved series will be missed as the end of the alphabet approaches.”—Publishers Weekly (starred review)X: The number ten. An unknown quantity. A mistake. A cross. A kiss…Perhaps Sue Grafton’s darkest and most chilling … kiss…
Perhaps Sue Grafton’s darkest and most chilling novel, X features a remorseless serial killer who leaves no trace of his crimes. Once again breaking the rules and establishing new paths, Grafton wastes little time identifying this deadly sociopath. The test is whether private investigator Kinsey Millhone can prove her case against him—before she becomes his next victim.

Graft on is A FAVORITE of mine. I just wish we had more letters left in the alphabet. I am looking forward to how she will shift gears. Whatever she does, if she does it half as well as this series, I will be ther to buy it and consume it..
Sorry, but I’ve read all of Grafton’s books, and this one just didn’t get it for me.
Love these books
Not the best, but I love Kinsey and her quirky friends.
Really love this writer! Sad to see she is near the end of the alphabet : (
Sue Grafton is my favorite author. Each book in the alphabet series is so great. Kinsey grows with age and knowledge with each book.
I have enjoyed all of Sue Grafton’s books.
Not one of her better books. I started with A and got to the T. Then lost track but this is not as good as the others.
Kinsey Milhone and Sue Grafton make me wish there were more letters in the alphabet!!
Great book. I always enjoy Sue Graftonnand this one is even better
Always love Sue Grafton’s books. This is no exception. Love Kinsey Millhone stories.
Having lived in the area, I especially enjoy reading Sue Grafton’s Kinsey Millhone series. The characters are well developed, and she is always an entertaining read.
Sue Grafton always makes time disappear when you are reading one of her books.
Like all the Sue Grafton books I have read this was fun and entertaining. I would call it a great beach read.
As great as the rest of Ms. Grafton’s alphabet.
I love the Kinsey Milhone mysteries. I intend to read the whole alphabet. It is wonderful to stay with a character so much that you know her favorite foods and usual morning routines. Her relationship with Henry is also a familiar and welcome one. But each book takes you on a different ride that you can’t wait to end but don’t want to end. My thanks to the author for many hours of enjoyment.
Kinsey is great as always. Hopefully, Sue Grafton will continue bringing us Kinsey Millhone adventures past “Z” in this series of reading entertainment.
I am really hating the end of the alphabet! Can’t wait for Y and Z, but will Kinsey retire???
Love Kinsey Milhone novels!
Fast paced, kept me interested.
