Wylde Fire has a lot going for it. Family drama that is epic. I mean who doesn’t want to read a book where the younger brother is an @sshat that stole the fiancee and is now marrying her!?! A grandma with zero filter and a zest for life is just one character I need more of in my life. The dad is named Doc. The family is teeming with untapped sources of entertainment and Wylde Fire is just the start!
An unrequited crush leads to a decision best made without any “feels”. An arrangement that makes sense in its Wylde-ly crazy way. Sweet and sexy, Wylde Fire introduces you to a family you will want more of and a town you aren’t sure you want to leave. Enjoy the burn!
The first book in the 100 Proof series a well written story by an Author I have not read before. I enjoyed reading Sam Wylde and Holly Glen’s story. I received an arc of this book from Hidden Gems and I am voluntarily reviewing.
I really enjoyed this book. Can’t wait to see what’s up in the next book.
This book was a cute read, I really loved Holly she is hardworking, kind, takes no crap, and has been through so much tragedy. She lost so much in an accident she had with her family and she owns her own event coordinating business, but she is struggling because her sister is in an expensive hospital under a coma. Sam comes from old money; his family is the richest in town, yet he doesn’t have much to do with many of his family members due to an event that ricked his world. The Wylda family came off as seriously dysfunctional because one second they would be laughing and tolerating each other then the next Sam would mention how much he hated his brothers (still not sure why he hated Sterling so much, Grady I understood why he hated him though). I hated how his family took the side of others than Sam’s and just ignored his feelings about why he would be mad and not reconcile with his brother. I honestly couldn’t understand how any of his family could sit by and watch what was happening go on and then tell Sam with pity in their eyes to pretty much get over it. When Sam and Holly reunite it’s under the pretense that they are helping each other but as time moves on, they are falling for each other. This was a cute read but some places would have repeat sentences in the same paragraph or a page over, I thought the ending felt a tiny bit rushed with all the events that were happening, and some places it skimmed over things instead of showing us what was happening behind the scenes, but overall it was a cute and easy read.
For me Sarah Robinson is a one click author, so when the opportunity for me to read an early copy came about I snagged it right up. And I was not disappointed. Sam and Holly’s story hooks you from the very beginning. It’s a fast paced page turner that you will not be able to put down. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series. A must read!
I received this book from Hidden Gem for my honest review.
First let’s talk about the cover of this book. It’s amazing and really draws you to wanting to know more. But also from the cover I got the idea that this was a romance novel in a way. Sam is an amazing character that I just fell in love with. Hearing some of his pain of knowing that his past future bride was having an affair with his own brother I wanted to beat up his brother. I also loved Holly, I wanted to cry knowing that her sister was in the hospital and it was her last relative. But also cheered for her knowing that she has wanted to be with Sam since High School. I loved the story-line of this book and it’s up and downs. The characters are flawed but also have huge highs which makes them rounded. I also really enjoyed that their relationship was already started when the book starts since Holly was already in love with Sam. So it felt like it didn’t happen right off that bat. I can not wait to read book two and will be on a huge lookout from this author.
Wylde Fire has the feel of a small-town romance, which is one of my favorite romance tropes. This one, however, left me somewhere in the fair to middlin’ range. That’s not to say the story isn’t entertaining, it is. And I really liked several of the characters. I do think that there were quite a lot of them introduced here, I suppose as a series starter. The problem with that is while we’re getting to know everybody else, we’re losing focus of the romantic couple who should be the focal point of this book. That’s what I would’ve liked to have seen more of. I mean we get lots of Sam and Holly, and they have plenty of chemistry – chemistry between the sheets, on the table, on the desk – well, you get my point. And there’s nothing at all wrong with a good, steamy romance, but I really wanted more of them falling for each other stuff than we’re given. I loved the banter between them, and they felt like great friends, but lust and friendship don’t mean love. It just felt like they went from fooling around and fake romance to madly in love without any of the fun middle stuff. That said, the story did keep my interest, and in addition to Sam’s family, we have some angst for Holly. Angst that is sure to affect even the most cynical of us. Thankfully, that angst is tempered with wit and lighter moments, so it has a good balance. In the end, I did have a couple of unanswered questions, and I’ll be interested to see if those get answered later in the series. I’m also keen to see how both the series and writing grow with future books. This one was worth the read, and I enjoyed the premise if not all of the delivery.
I got a copy of this book from Hidden Gems and I voluntarily chose to review it. This is the first book by this author I have read but it will not be the last one from Ms. Robinson. I think this book was well written and the characters were realistic. This was a quick easy read for me. I encourage everyone to get this book. An awesome start to a new series
3-3.5 stars.
This was a fun read.
Here, we meet Holly and Sam; they met back in high school, but Sam doesn’t remember and Holly’s had a crush on him ever since. When he needs a party planner for the launch of his whiskey, Holly is the perfect solution.
I loved Holly so much, she was so strong and omg, what she went through! I loved that she didn’t let life bring her down and all she did was care for her family. I loved that Sam gave her the break she really needed.
Sam had something really crappy happen to him and I can’t believe his family didn’t back him. I could SO understand why he was so angry and bitter. But I loved that with the help of Holly he slowly started to soften his heart.
This was a fun read overall, I did think they fell for each other a little too fast, but that’s my thing.
All in all, looking forward to reading more in the series.
*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*
Holly and Sam is the first book in the 100 Proof series and oh my what a great read! These two characters are from different worlds but they soon collide in a way neither of them saw coming! What is a gal to do when she runs into her crush from highschool ten years later and he needs a favor? You try not to swoon over this tall handsome drink of whiskey known as Sam and lend him a hand. Holly is sassy, smart, sexy and full of opinions . She does not back down and works for everything that she has. Sam is a business man that is attempting to get his distillary off the ground but needs a fabulous event planner . Well today is his lucky day ..he just stole the parking spot of the best one around and she is full of piss and vinegar ! They soon agree to an arrangement …..busniess that is and soon find themselves wanting and needing a bit more !
I cannot wait to see where Sarah takes us in this series !!

Never having read anything by Sarah Robinson I wasn’t sure what to expect. Wylde Fire was an enjoyable read and the main characters were interesting. Sam is a sexy alpha male determined to make his new business a success. Holly was sweet, tenacious and full of gumption, everything I like in a heroin. Their relationship starts off on an interesting note when Sam proposes an engagement/marriage of convenience. Having to attend his brothers wedding to his ex-girlfriend who he found in bed together was difficult and he needed a buffer. Enter Holly, who proves to be just what he needs. Little does he know – Holly has had a crush on him since high school so the sparks fly and what turns out to be an engagement of convenience ends up being love and they get their happily ever after. A really great story. (I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review).
hmmmmmm
I’ve been trying to figure out how to review this story for a couple of days now and bottom line is that it’s good but it had a lot going on and there were times when I lost focus of Sam and Holly as a couple. There was Sam’s baggage, Holly’s baggage and also a whole lot of other people thrown in the mix to I presume set up the series. I could have done with more Sam and Holly and less everything else. That’s pretty much the best way to describe my hmmmm .
The story was sweet and sexy with a whole lot of humor. It unfolded well and wasn’t surprising to me. Everything pretty much followed the path I presumed would happen. And all of that just made it a good story for me but honestly, it lacked sparked. It just seemed to be there.
Anywho, I wouldn’t not recommend this story, but I’m hoping the series picks up a bit in the future.

Holy Cow!! Four Fantastic Stars for this one Folks! This was my first book by Sarah Robinson and I can -guaran-dang-tee you it won’t be my last. Sam and Holly’s story was unexpectedly devastating, sweet and smokin’ hot!
The banter between these two is what naughty dreams are made of. Sam has been burnt and was jaded, but rightfully so. Holly had been through hell and back. Oh how my heart broke over and over again for her. Could what started out as a sham of a fake marriage be the best thing to happen to either of them?
I loved these characters. Holly was this breath of fresh air. Her personality as colorful as her tattoos. Sam certainly wasn’t prepared for the rug to me pulled out from under him by his event planner, and Holly tried to remain as guarded as possible. But the man she’s had a crush on for as long as she can remember just stepped in to be her knight in shining cowboy boots. Can she keep herself from falling farther down that rabbit hole and just enjoy the “Wylde ride” while it lasts?
This book had some fabulous secondary characters as well. I sure hope we some of their stories in the future!!
I will definitely be reading more from this author. I wish I had discovered her sooner, but can’t wait to devour more of her books.
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book!
It’s been a while since I have read the “Fake Relationship” trope and now I am wondering why. This was a fun read, that I was able to devour in just one afternoon. I found myself laughing out loud and shedding a few tears as well. Sarah Robinson did a wonderful job with creating characters that made you not only like them but care about them. I am looking forward to more from this series.
Sam’s brother is getting married to his ex-girlfriend and Sam needs a date for the wedding…if you ask me I would just skip it but hey it’s family and all so you know you have to put on your big girl panties and muddle through, well in his case it would be boxer-briefs but you get the point.
Holly’s family had a devastating accident and it brought her back to her hometown where she is the owner / operator of a business that does event planning which is perfect for what Sam needs in order to get Wyldfire Whiskey’s launch party the talk of the town, state, country…you see where I’m going with this.
Holly also cares for her sister which is becoming harder and harder since her income isn’t as hefty as it had once been, maybe just maybe Sam and Holly can help one another out.
I would love to say this was a second chance romance as well because Holly had a crush on Sam in high school but Sam never really showed interest in her then so I really can’t but there is that feel of it because Holly’s crush really never went away even after all this time.
If you enjoy the fake relationship trope or even a good contemporary romance I would say grab a copy and start this series today, I see great things are heading our way with the 100 Proof Series.
Happy Reading!!!
Sam Wylde needs to find an event coordinator as soon as possible since his just quit. He needs help launching his baby out into the world. His baby being Wylde Fire Whiskey. Enter Holly Glen. A sweet and sassy woman who isn’t afraid to speak her mind and put him in his place. Sam doesn’t know it, but Holly is desperately in need of money, so his offer of a job comes at just the right time. Neither can deny their instant attraction to each other after their first meeting. They try to remain professional, but they can’t fight their feelings any longer. Sam has major trust issues and isn’t looking for love, but would like the outward appearance of wedded bliss. Holly has one goal above all else, to take care of her sister, which she is struggling to do without insurance. Sam comes up with a solution for both of them. A marriage of convenience. She gets her insurance and he gets to look like picture of wedded bliss to his family and friends. While it sounds good on paper, can the two of them be happy in a lie? Will demons from the past tear a rift in their relationship when they find that they really do love each other? This was a wonderful romance that made me shed a couple of tears, but you end up with a happy ending. Sam and Holly have great chemistry and I loved their witty banter. I did receive an arc copy of this book from Hidden Gems, and this is my honest review.
3.5 Stars
I really liked Holly. Her quick wit, her intelligence, her devotion to her sister, and her defense of Sam. I liked Sam. He was a good guy.
I also liked that Sam was not so quick to forget what his brother had done or how his family had supported Grady. You see so often in books that the wronged party always has to make concessions and be so forgiving. It was a refreshing change that forgiveness did not come quite so quickly.
Things happened pretty quickly between Sam and Holly. At some point Sam is concerned with Holly finding out his real motivation behind his offer. Whatever he was concerned about was either never revealed, or overlooked by this reader.
I also appreciated the TWO epilogues. I’m a sucker for an epilogue. My only issue is with the second epilogue. I can understand leaving a but of a teaser for the next book, but you have NO idea who Holly and Sam were referring to in their conversation. At least I didn’t.
A kind of sweet, sexy, slightly humorous romance that was also a quick read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this Advance Reader Copy received from Hidden Gems.
3.75 stars–WYLDE FIRE is the first instalment in Sarah Robinson’s contemporary, adult 100 PROOF erotic, romance series focusing on the Wylde family. This is eldest son and Wyldefire Whiskey partner Sam Wylde, and events planner Holly Glen’s story line.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Sam and Holly) WYLDE FIRE focuses on the building relationship between Wyldefire Whiskey partner Sam Wylde, and events planner Holly Glen. With the launch of Wyldefire Whiskey just around the corner, and the events planner bailing at the last minute Sam finds himself desperate enough to ask a complete stranger for help but a stranger who is widely respected in the world of events planning. Enter Holly Glen, and the woman with whom Sam would fall in love. Needing a plus-one for his brother’s wedding, a wedding to Sam’s ex-fiance, Sam makes Holly an offer she cannot refuse: an engagement and marriage of convenience that will take the pressure of the wedding off our story line hero. What ensues is the quick building relationship between Sam and Holly, and the potential fall-out as Holly finds herself the victim of a set up by Sam’s cheating brother.
Holly Glen has been in love with Sam Wylde since she first saw him in high school years before but Sam never knew Holly existed. Having fallen in love with his high school sweetheart, Sam’s life would be destroyed when his younger brother took from Sam his happily ever after.
The relationship between Sam and Holly is one of immediate attraction; an insta-lust/love romance that turns into something more when Sam offers marriage and forever to the woman with whom he will fall in love. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to the large and colorful extended Wylde family: brothers Caleb, Sterling, and Grady, and their sister Bethany ; parents Earl and Grace Wylde: uncle Duke Wylde; cousins Noah and Ruby; Nana Willie Lou Wylde and husband Caesar; Wyldefire business partner Caleb Daughtry; Sam’s ex fiancé Jane, and Holly’s friend and partner Amelia Eldridge. The camaraderie between family members is flirty and fun, but at times strained and reluctant.
WYLDE FIRE is a $ex filled and imaginative story of family, betrayal and vengeance; lust and love; impulsive, amusing and happily ever after. The premise is entertaining and captivating; the characters are feisty and sassy; the romance is steamy and hot.
Enjoyable start to a new series. Sarah Robinson had me hooked from the start and I read the book in one sitting. Loved the chemistry between Sam and Holly. She was so relatable. This book left me wanting and I can’t wait for more 100 Proof books. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC received NetGalley.
I was super excited about a new series by Sarah Robinson and she didn’t disappoint!
Holly and Sam burn up the pages with their chemistry. Add family dram to that and you have a 5 star read!!! I can’t wait for more. That little bonus epilogue was such a tease!!
Sarah Robinson is quickly becoming one of my go to authors. I went into this one blind and was quickly sucked into Sam and Holly’s story. These two have some wicked chemistry right from the start and it only burns hotter as they fall deeper. I love when we are given a strong heroine who can take care of herself. Even though Sam has money, it’s even sexier that he doesn’t flaunt it. My ONLY complaint is that the book was over way too fast! I’m 99.999% sure I know who the next two books are about but I can’t wait for the blurbs to be revealed.
