Sam Wylde is ready to prove he’s more than just the privileged son of a wealthy Southern dynasty. Wyldefire Whiskey is poised to take Nashville by storm—and with any luck, overshadow the scandal of his cheating ex-girlfriend marrying his brother. The only problem? This gruff country boy has no idea how to throw a launch party that will get people talking. The answer to everything might just be … answer to everything might just be Holly Glen.
A party wrapped up in one tiny woman, Holly is tattooed, tempting, and exactly the event planner Sam needs to liven up his brand—and his life. He can give her what she needs, too.
All it will take is a ring on her finger.
Falling in real love with his fake wife was not part of the plan—but one shot of Holly isn’t going to be enough.

Characters that just leap off of the page!
Loved this book! Strong, well-developed characters. Story of two people open to a fake relationship and then turns real and great in the end. Easy read and good love story.
The premise of the story seemd too rushed….romance, marriage, etc. Also, several inconsistancies (ex.: the time of his previous relationship break-up, previous girlfriend later referred to as his fiancee), several grammatical errors.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Great characters, the author did a beautiful job giving the characters believable personalities and interactions with each other plus steam between the main characters.
I love this author and look for her books any time there is a sale going on. I found this one and knew it was going to be good.
Sam Wylde is getting ready to launch Wyldefire Whiskey and he needs someone to plan the biggest event anyone has seen. In steps Holly Glen. Well, she doesn’t step in, she steals his parking spot and proceeds to scold him for driving distracted. Sam doesn’t believe what he is hearing, she knows him but he can’t remember her. When he finds out what she does for a living, he knows he needs her.
Holly owns her own event planning company and she is good at it. Sam wants her to plan the launch of Wyldefire Whiskey and she is ready and knows she can do it.
As Sam and Holly grow closes, he proposes a deal that will benefit them both. Can she accept the deal without falling for him? Can Sam trust her and not let his past interfere with their relationship?
I enjoyed this story but I really wanted to slap Sam’s brother upside the head with a 2×4. Looking forward to reading more of this series.
I received a free ARC of this novel via Hidden Gems in exchange for an honest review. My opinion is my own.
I have not read anything by Ms Robinson previously but I probably will again if another one of her stories catches my interest. The plot isn’t overly complicated or hard to keep track of. It could have used a little more development because there were parts that felt kind of rushed, especially at the end of the novel. The antagonist definitely brought forth loathing just like there is supposed to be and I liked the main characters for the most part. Its not the next great American novel but its definitely a solid story.
Revenge is a dish served smoking hot
Sarah Robinson has done it again a story you want to devour from beginning to end. I couldn’t put it down it was so good.
Sam has had his heart broken by his by his brother and his ex-girlfriend. Holly has moved back to her home town after losing her parents in a car crash and her sister is in a Coma. When the pair run into each other sparks fly. When Sam suggests a mutually beneficial fake marriage, how can Holly say know to the man she’s had a crush on for years. With hearts involved things are always complicated. Will they make it to the altar and find true happiness together
Sarah Robinson is a new to me author and while I love loved the chemistry between Sam and Holly, their story line didn’t really grab me. Parts of the story felt rushed and the ending was just…blah. I wished there would have been a little more to tie up a couple of loose ends. Overall, it was a quick read.
Sam Wylde is starting up Wyldefire Whiskey and is looking for an event planner to help out, all the while trying to mend his heart from his brothers’ betrayal. Holly Glen just so happens to be an event planner that really could use the money that Sam is offering for a last-minute job and the person he needs to help pull off a fake marriage.
While the marriage starts out as a fake one…feelings turn out to be real AND quick. Both Sam and Holly are trying hard not to fall in love, but fate has another thing in mind. Once again, it’s a quick read with some very entertaining secondary characters…like Grandma and her new husband. I think she needs her own book!
Will have to go down a star as there were full sentences that were repeated/appeared in a few chapters – not sure if that was on purpose? Or missed in the editing process. Maybe Ms. Robinson needs to go through this book again to give a look see.
Sarah Robinson’s Wylde Fire (100 Proof, Book 1) shows that love can definitely sneak up on you. Sam most definitely wasn’t expecting it when he hired an event planner, but he so very much ended up getting it – and how they ended up in love was a well written and definitely heck of a lot of fun story. An easy recommendation too.
“He wanted to ask if she felt it, too…if her skin singed at the proximity of their bodies, her breath lost at the closeness of his.”
Rumors, lies, secrets, loyalty, sacrifices, chemistry, and small town gossip are just a few of the many things you will fall in love with while getting lost in this story.
“You’ve ruined me”…We’ve ruined each other.”
What a fun and fantastic read! This was straightforward, fun, steamy, and delicious. When the book starts, Sam Wylde has two problems. One, his new venture, Wyldefire Whiskey is about to have their first company launch. They had planned a huge event, but his event planner just left them high and dry. Sam’s cousin Noah, one of the partners in the venture, had a fling and broke up with her and she just up and went and took her connections with her. Now Sam is trying to fix the jam Noah got them into.
His other problem is his younger brother’s wedding. Two years ago, his high school sweetheart, his fiancee, betrayed him with his brother Grady. He found them having sex, so he cancelled the wedding. Now the betrayers are getting married and his family expect Sam to make nice. As if! He’s not in a good place with his family at the moment for that reason.
The looks of pity from everyone in town, the frequent comments on his feelings are grating on him to no end. And all he wants is to solve his launch problem! When he runs into Holly and realizes she’s an event planner, he hires her on the spot. Once they start to work together, their chemistry fires up and goes wylde, er wild. Holly had a crush on Sam from high school, where she would pine for him from afar. She was shy and younger and he was an arrogant jock so she had no chance. Now, however, it’s a different situation and she grabbed it with both hands.
This story was delightful and the characters were adorable. The family dynamics are crazy, with a grandmother who has no filter, and is a master schemer. All the second characters added to the charm of the book and a side plot with Holly’s sister adds the necessary dark so the story won’t be too cheesy. I’m only sorry I didn’t get to see Grady get a butt kicking.
What a wild and delicious ride!
LOVED! Sarah Robinson is a new-to-me author and I am in love! I adore a well written fake relationship and Wylde Fire was top notch! There were times I laughed out loud and there were times I may have cried a bit, but I completely devoured this story in one sitting! FIVE STARS!!
Wilde Fire was such a fun read to get lost in. A fake relationship, second chance romance. This fast-paced romance kept me on my toes, thoroughly entertained, and flipping pages like the crazy bookworm I am.
Sara Robinson not only gave me a delicious romance I could spend an entire evening getting lost in, but the sprinkles of humor had me actually laughing out loud several times. Add to that Sam Wylde! He was exactly how I like my heroes: strong, sexy, and totally swoon-worthy. His chemistry with Holly was electric. I just enjoyed everything about this book and I think everyone else will too. 5 stars.
I have read a few books by Sarah Robinson in the past and this book was equally as enjoyable. It was written well enough and the storyline had great substance and potential but I felt it was lacking slightly. I liked Sam Wylde as a character and how he stood his ground with his brother and his ex and how he treated Holly from the get go. They made a sweet couple.
I received a free copy of this book via Hidden Gems and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Awesome romance with lots of twists and turns. I love how Sam and his partners are building a business on their own and not depending on family. It’s a small town and for years people have been saying ‘poor Sam’ because his fiancé cheated on him with his younger brother. Holly had a thriving events planner business but had to return home to care for family. She has to start all over but once she and Sam meet he comes up with a wild plan. I loved the characters the laughter, loving (steamy) and the secondary characters. I received a complementary copy of this book via Hidden Gems and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Robinson especially in this series.
Sam is working on the launch of his Wylde Fire Whiskey that will take the town of Nashville to new heights. He needs help and this is where he meets Holly, an event planner and tattooed beauty that just may be the answer he is looking for professionally and personally. Sam’s ex girlfriend cheated with his brother and caused a big scandal. Sam proposes that Holly pretend to be his fake wife so he can move on from that scandal and get the whiskey promotion as the talk of the town. Problem is, Sam may want more than a fake wife by the time he and Holly are involved as a couple.
Wylde Fire is a great name for this book, as it was on fire as I read it. You won’t be able to put this book down. More and more lately I find myself reading 3rd person point-of-view books and I find myself loving them. Sarah Robinson has my full attention.
This book with show you that while you might lead very different lives, some heartache is the same. Holly went through some tragedy that changed the course of her life. But somehow she made it and bounced back while starting her own business and wanting to live life as fully as possible. Holly is such a vibrant and consistent character, you can’t help not love her.
Sam is man trying to escape his past, but that’s hard to do when it stares you in the face almost everyday. But underneath there is rage like no other. He is a man that know what he wants and goes after it. With a chance meeting with Holly has them making a choice and that choice leads them down a path neither one expected. How can you say nothing will go wrong, when you don’t know the future?
The chemistry won’t be missed. It begins pretty much from their first meeting. The two together is pure fire. It is hard to find a couple in a book that compliment each other as well as push each other, but these two do. Since this is first book in the series, we get backstory of the Wylde family and their dynamics to set up the rest of the series.
You DON’T want to miss this series! Recommend it!
Never having read anything by Sarah Robinson I wasn’t sure what to expect. Wylde Fire was an enjoyable read and the main characters were interesting. I loved the trope and the plot of this book. The blurb and the cover were an instant draw. I loved Sam and Holly!
Sam is an alpha male with trust issues after his fiance cheats on him with his brother. Holly is trying to put everything into her event planning business, and caring for her younger sister that is in a coma from an accident that killed their parents. She has no time for love or a relationship, even when it’s with her high school crush, Sam. When Sam makes Holly an offer she can’t refuse, will she have a change of heart about her thoughts on relationships, or can she keep her heart guarded for the sake of her sister?
This was a fun read overall and I’m really looking forward to reading more of series.
Sarah Robinson is a new author to me and I was pleasantly surprised with Wylde Fire! One of my favorite genres is fake engagement/marriage and this one had everything I love — great chemistry between the characters, interesting and funny secondary characters (what a crazy family!) and a good plot that kept me reading into the night. I loved Sam and Holly’s instant fire but I loved how they grew together and had each other’s backs from the start. Refreshing and fun, this was a very enjoyable read. Looking forward to more in the 100 Proof series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
Wylde Fire was a wonderful story.
Sam Wylde is still recovering from betrayal and heartbreak years later, but slowly picking up the pieces and working to be independent from his family name. Opening up Wyldefire Whiskey is his way of making a name for himself and doing something that makes him happy while also making a name for himself.
Holly Glen has known her share of heartache, but in a different way. But she’s tough and fiery and just the person Sam needs in his life. In as well as out of the bedroom.
Their chemistry was fast and strong leading into a whirlwind live affair that progresses quickly.
This was a quick and slightly steamy read that I was able to finish in one sitting. I was entertained the whole time!
