To get her inheritance, she needs a husband. He’s wanted to fly with her for ages. Can their pretend pledge turn into something real?Marcy Payne has been flying the crop-dusters over farms and ranches in Three Rivers for two decades. She’s been running the family business as her father ages, so she’s shocked when he dies suddenly–and she can’t keep the planes and her career unless she’s married.… and her career unless she’s married.
One such ranch she’s been keeping pest-free is Seven Sons, and when former rodeo star Wyatt Walker learns of her plight, he seizes the opportunity to keep himself in her life. Seizes it without fear, the way he tamed bulls for all those years–down on both knees, with a diamond ring extended toward Marcy.
She likes Wyatt, and there’s no one else proposing, so Marcy and Wyatt take the leap and tie the knot. As she teaches him about the planes, and he opens up about the challenges of his rodeo career, Marcy starts to fall for the gruff cowboy. Will Wyatt and Marcy be able to stop playing pretend when the feelings get real to find a true happily-ever-after?more
From fake to real!
It is always a pleasure when I get to read one of Liz Isaacson’s books and I enjoyed Wyatt’s Pretend a great deal. Needing to marry so she can inherit her father’s business Marcy can think of no one better than Wyatt Walker. Let us face it he is willing to help her. The road can be a bit bumpy for these two and that was very entertaining. It is not a quick read but worth the time you spend with this outstanding tale. I highly recommend and hope you check it out. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it
This was a really good series.
Wyatt’s Pretend Pledge (Book 5) is a visit back to Three Rivers and the 7 Sons Ranch. This book follows the love of Wyatt and Marcy. Her Dad dying at the end of Jeremiah’s Bogus Bride (Book 4), is where Wyatt’s and her story picks back up. There was a stipulation left in her Daddy’s will that she had 6 months to get married and stay married a year to keep the crop dusting business. This was such a surprise to her that she calls Wyatt. She knew Wyatt was always the one to figure out just what to do and then do it. They started out to be pretend but, by the time the wedding rolled around they thought it was for real, or was it? But this story is oh so much more than just about Wyatt and Marcy. More babies, new homes, and at the end when they are about to celebrate Christmas, Skylar drops a bomb on everybody. This book is an adventure for the entire Walker family!
This book is everything you could want in a Cowboy romance. Strong and self assured with just a slight sprinkle of vulnerability.
Wyatt has wanted a deeper relationship for Marcy for a while. He’s the type of self-assured man that isn’t afraid to face bulls or to go after the woman he wants. Marcy isn’t ready for a relationship, so he gives her the space she needs while making no bones about his interest and being there to help when needed/wanted. When Marcy’s dad dies and stipulates that she must get married to keep the business that has been her life, she runs right to Wyatt.
The problem is she tells him she wants a pretend relationship. What if he believes her?

Wyatt’s Pretend Pledge was an eventful introspective of a true rodeo king, with a robust and loving heart, who’d fallen in love and married for maybe all the wrong reasons. But you be the judge.
Wyatt Walker is a Billionaire megastar with his own multimillion dollar clothing line. He is also !of the famous Seven Sons Ranch of Green River, Texas. Marcy “almost” owns the crop dusting business to which she’s devoted the last 15 years of her life. But, her recently deceased father’s will says she must be married for the business to be hers. Wayne is already enamored with her; so, he proposes a pretend marriage. He thinks he’ll treat her so well Marcy will fall in love with him, that their pretend marriage will become real. With Marcy’s own relationship maturity almost inexistent, they are both in for a really, really rough ride. See how they work through their marriage from pretend to…? I highly recommend this excellent read! And, I promise you it’s a page-turner, for there is never a dull moment. It’s Liz Isaacson at her best!
Loved reading Marcy and Wyatt’s story.
Sweet, clean romance 🙂
Well worth the read and the 5 stars!
This is the story of Wyatt and his loved one Marcy. They think they are pretending but in fact, that is just an excuse to be together.
This is an amazing story, not just because of Wyatt and Marcy but because of all the members of the Walker family. It is good to see a big family and all the get-together days. I loved how they helped each other and the love they felt for each other. They were always happy to help any of them in need. I loved knowing about the rest of the couples. In fact, it is not just one story but several.
It is a romantic story, full of great kisses and not implicit sex scenes. Clean and sweet, it made me cry several times.
I absolutely loved it.

Imagine working for your father in his crop dusting company for years but upon his death finding out you can inherit the business only by getting married! You will admire how Marcy cared for her father and kept the business going but this is tough news! Wyatt Walker is a retired rodeo star who has been interested in Marcy for a long time but knew she had enough on her plate so he’s been there to help her out without any mention of romance. You’ll love how everything works out for Marcy and Wyatt! I recommend Wyatt’s Pretend Pledge to anyone who enjoys modern day cowboys! I received a complimentary e-book of Wyatt’s Pretend Pledge from the author. This is my honest opinion.
When the will is read after Marcy’s father dies, things get a little hectic. There is one stipulation that needs to be met in order for Marcy to inherit the business that she had been working with her father. Can she turn to a really good friend and get him to help her through this or does she give up and forfeit her business?
I love these brothers!
Well done, Liz Isaacson.
I really enjoy the Seven Sons series and the Walker Brothers. The premise of each marriage of convenience, or arranged marriage is unique in that every single Walker Brother starts out the same.
This book about Wyatt and Marcie’s marriage is a standalone. I think it would be more enjoyable for readers of they read at least one of two of the previous books first. The Walker family is very close and they are tied together by their love, loyalty, sense of family, and their faith.
Wyatt and Marcie struggled. I wasn’t quite sure if it was a lack of communication, or if it was more of an insecurity on Marcie’s part. With Wyatt being a celebrity, I wondered if Marcie thought she wouldn’t fit into his life. It seemed to me to be several issues rolled up into one big ball of doubt. She was strong, independent, and intelligent. They had good chemistry. So her issues were a little surprising.
Although Wyatt and his brothers are wealthy, their path to life and happiness is not always smooth, physically, mentally, or emotionally. Don’t get me wrong,Wyatt and Marcie’s book is not full of angst by any means. One thing I like about this book is that they are like any other couple who experiences doubts, and insecurities. They just happen to look to their faith and family to help them reach their HEA.
Another thing I like is that in each book, the other brothers are included and it shows how life moved forward in the family. An uplifting, sweet, romantic, small town romance.

Another story of one of the Walker brother’s getting married. Wyatt Walker has had a crush on Marcy Payne for over a year. Her father died and she is going to loose her business if she doesn’t get married and stay married for a year. Wyatt Jim’s at the chance of being series to Marcy. This is a series about seven brothers and there wives and children. I love this series and the close connection they have. I was given a ARC of this book and I highly recommend reading this book.
I was looking forward to reading about how Wyatt and Marcy finally end up together and living there happy ever after. I have read all the book in this series and look forward to reading more about this great family of 7 brothers and how they all get to a happy ending. I enjoy being able to read about the other brothers as well and what they are doing/happening in their lives.

Really enjoyed this heartwarming, sexy, fun and engaging romantic journey filled with interesting charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and undeniable passion…. was a great read from beginning to end. Highly entertaining adventure on the Seven Sons Ranch, looking forward to more!
Wyatt Walker, the bronc riding, bull rider and calf roper champion, has had a crush on Marcy Payne for a long time, but when her father is dying from cancer, she pushes him away. After his death, Wyatt wants to be the one to console her and be there for her without scaring her off. In settling her father’s estate she discovers that the only way she can inherit the Payne’s Pest business, she needs to be married for a year. She wasn’t expecting that! When she tells Wyatt of her dilemma, the first thing out of his mouth is “marry me”. This was a heartwarming, emotional and at times, heartbreaking read. I love how the author shows the closeness of the family and all the brothers together. She brings in how their lives are changing since many are married. A GREAT series. Well written storyline and wonderful characters that worm their way into your heart.

Wyatt’s a retired rodeo champion, and the closest thing to a celebrity in town. He’s like Marcy in his life – she might be his one. But she’s rebuffed him, most recently to take care of her ailing father. After he passes, she’s shocked at the content of his will – she can’t inherit the crop-dusting business unless she’s married. Within six months. For a year. Wyatt’s thinking fake marriage – she’s not sure. But that’s how his brothers all started out – why not him? By the time the wedding date rolls around, it’s a real marriage. What a wonderful story! There are lots of other things going on in the Walker family, some good and some troublesome, but the entire family comes together in person and spirit to hope and pray for best outcomes in all situations. Wyatt and Marcy stumble along the way, but finally find their happy ending.

I loved these two together but the angst frustrated me. We get to catch up with the brothers and their families and get a glimpse into the future books. Can pretend turn into real?
Love everything about this book. Wyatt has had his time in the spotlight and now he is ready for his happy ever after. He has had strong feelings for Marcy from
the day they met. She isn’t like the other women who chase him for his name, she doesn’t even seem to know who he is. Marcy is dealing with a lot when Wyatt comes around and she just doesn’t have anything to give to a relationship or another person who needs to lean on her. Wyatt is patient and his feelings grow stronger with each passing day. He is right where he needs to be when Marcy finally turns to him. Little did she know that she was growing closer to him because of his simple ways of caring for her. Just love this story, it should be too cliche but it really just works so well. These men are just so likable and the women they love are perfect for them.
I’ve been taunted by Wyatt’s HEA for a couple books now. I’m super excited his book is finally here! As we get to know all of these brothers and their families even more, they become dearer. I love these clean, Christian sweet romances! And I absolutely cannot wait to get to know Sky and Mal better!!

LI has Masterfully written another Don’t-Miss, Compelling & Inspirational, Texas Walker Brothers Story!!
Wyatt fell for Marcy the 1st time he met her. He’s been lovingly, courting her, being there for her, as much as she’ll let him, ever since! Will she ever fully return this former Rodio Star’s ?
Marcy’s life is too full, single handedly running her Dad’s Crop Dusting business, grieving her recently dead Father, & sorting through his home! Marcy doesn’t have the time or energy to return Wyatt’s attention, but she’d like to.
I Highly Recommend you Liz Isaacson’s Engrossing, Western, Christian, Romance story, “Wyatt’s Pretend Pledge: Christmas Brides for Billionaire Brothers Book 5”; to find out how these two hurting people make it to their Forever , with God’s help! Watch for the special meaning, for when Wyatt waves his cowboy hat at his fans.
