He’s lost her twice…he’s not going to lose her again… NHL Hockey Goalie Wyatt Marshall has everything–fame, money and a thriving career. But he’s hiding the two things that matter most…a career-ending injury, and his broken heart. He’s been in love with Coco Stanley since she walked into his life at age fourteen, a foster child for the Marshall family. She stole his heart years later, when, … stole his heart years later, when, after a secret tryst, she returned to her home country of Russia. But she won’t let him back into her life—and he can’t figure out why.
She’s harboring a secret that could cost lives…
Coco Stanley is tired of living her life undercover. Or at least, with an assumed name, always pretending to be someone she’s not. And that’s not the only secret she’s harboring. If Wyatt discovers the real reason she left him, it might just destroy him. She’s resigned herself to loving him from afar…
But when he discovers she’s in danger…
Wyatt is horrified when he learns Coco has been shot and left in Russia, her fate unknown. There is nothing—nothing—that will stop him from finding her. So what if he’s not one of his super-heroic brothers, not a Ranger, not a SEAL…Wyatt is a hockey goalie, a special kind of crazy brave. Except, is he brave enough to face the secret Coco is keeping, or will it destroy everything he’s hoped for?
What will it cost them to save her?
What Wyatt and Coco don’t know is that revenge is stalking her and bringing her home just might cost them their long-awaited happy ending.
Continue the breath-taking Montana Marshalls series!

All The Montana Marshalls novels are tied together, just like the family is. I recommend that you start at with the first book KNOX, then read the rest in this order: TATE, FORD, WYATT, and RUBY JANE. In each of them, the main characters are strong and heroic, but each of the main characters have secrets and hidden weaknesses, just like all of us. The books have strong romances and strong spiritual threads in the midst of suspense and danger. I highly recommend them.
Awesome series!
This is the fourth book in the Montana Marshalls series, and with each new release that story becomes your new favorite. Warren continues to outdo herself with these amazing stories! I love that this series is based on the song “Be Thou My Vision” and how she ties each story with a different verse.
This is Wyatt and Coco’s story and follows all of Coco’s deep secrets. There is so much brokenness between them, but when Wyatt finds out that Coco might be in danger he realizes how much she still means to him. Wyatt goes to Russia determined to find Coco no matter what the cost, even if it means walking away from his hockey career.
This book also continues to follow Ruby Jane and York’s story. I can’t wait for the fifth and final release in Ruby Jane’s story coming in November. I have a feeling the author is saving the best for last, and I’m already guessing it will become my new favorite.
*I received an ARC of this book from the author/publisher. All opinions are my own.
Another amazing story!
Susan May Warren knows how to create heroes who are rugged, handsome, flawed, and wonderful!!
Continuing the story of the Marshall brothers, Wyatt finagles his way into Russia, hoping to rescue Coco and bring her home with him. Yet what can a mere hockey player do?
Wyatt Marshall never felt like he was enough. He had always felt that his father was disappointed in him and his desire to play hockey instead of wanting to work on the family ranch. He tried so hard to prove his worth yet, in his eyes, always failed. This middle son also carried shame for dishonoring the Marshall name, even if he was the only one who knew of it. His family’s faith had never been his own. . .
I really liked Wyatt’s zeal and his intense love for Coco. With a brother who was a former smoke jumper, one who had been an Army Ranger, one a bull-rider, and the other a Navy SEAL, he didn’t quite see himself measuring up to them as a mere hockey goalie. Sure, he had to be tough to endure beatings from the pucks (and players). However, coming up with a strategy for rescuing damsels in distress, knowing how to survive in another country, or saving the world? He knew he was out of his league! And he still dove in, way out of his comfort zone, into a foreign country where people spoke a language he didn’t know. All for the girl he had loved from the moment he met her! Doesn’t that just make you swoon?
Coco, or Kat, as she was known in Russia, had a secret that she was determined to protect, even at the cost of her life. Not to mention a mountain of guilt. When Wyatt showed up in the place she least expected him, to retrieve the evidence that would clear his sister, she wanted so badly to keep him close. Yet she sent him away, for his own good.
Poor Coco never felt that God could care about her.
In their breathtaking journey as they fought assassins and tried to avoid the Bravta, Coco and Wyatt both needed to come to the realization about who God is and His love for them. Without being preachy, the author guides them through their doubts, insecurities, and fears into the arms of the One who is more than enough because they found they could never be.
Wyatt is full of heart-stopping action, powerful romance, and spiritual journeys. I am looking forward to seeing where things conclude with next month’s release of the series finale. York, who was introduced in Ford, was in this story, and I’m sure he is going to be in RJ’s story as well – he has to be and I’m expecting amazing things. (Don’t tell anyone this but I think I like York more than any of the Marshall brothers! And I can’t believe Susan May Warren let things end the way she did!!!)
But don’t let this be the first book of The Montana Marshalls series you read. Each story builds on the previous to give you the entire full-blown experience. You won’t regret it!

Whew! This story was a real heart tugger! The author had my emotions all over the place as I read of the reuniting of Wyatt and Coco!
Wyatt is the fourth book in the Montana Marshalls series and you really need to read these books in order to understand the overall series plot. I have enjoyed the way the threat builds within each story.
Something else that I have enjoyed is the way the author features two couples as separate romantic focuses in these novels, with one having the more prominent story. So, in this book, I not only loved reading about Wyatt and Coco, but also reading more about RJ and York.
I loved this story from start to finish. I think it is my favorite of the series so far.
I recieved a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Susan May Warren once again delivers an epic romantic adventure that pulls you in and leaves you white-knuckled throughout. But really, it’s Susan May Warren, did you have any doubt?
One character hits the nail on the head when he says, “This family should come with a warning label.” If these Marshall siblings can rescue others from the most challenging of circumstances with only one or two involved, imagine the force the entire family would have!
Wyatt doesn’t even consider himself a hero like his brothers, but for the woman he loves, he steps up to the plate (or into the goal for a shutout since he is an NHL goalie. Be still my hockey-loving heart).
I adored Wyatt. His sometimes rambling monologues are hilarious but when push comes to shove, he is, indeed, a hero. Both on and off the ice.
And what an ending Warren leaves us with. It will have you clamoring for the next (and final) book in the series. Is it any wonder Warren is a reader favorite?

NHL hockey player Wyatt grew up comparing himself to his brothers – an Army Ranger, a Navy SEAL, and a professional bull rider. He believes he disappointed his father, largely because of his career choice and faithless life.
He is hides a broken heart and a career-threatening injury from those around him. Wyatt has always loved Coco, but felt he didn’t deserve her. But when she is in trouble in Russia, Wyatt runs to her aid, despite his lack of experience in handling international relations. Will he be able to save Coco, even though he can’t speak Russian? Can he bring her home, but at what cost?
Warren is known for her novels filled with broken individuals who face emotional and spiritual challenges. The action-adventure, family drama, and faith elements are essential to her writing.
She adds US-Russian political intrigue to Ford and Wyatt As expected, there is some violence, mention of premarital sex (but no details), and death. The romantic tension is high as Coco and Wyatt try to find the relationship they both desire.
Disclaimer: Book reviews are my honest opinion of books I either purchased or received free of cost from the publishers, publicists, and/or authors. I am not required to write reviews, nor to even post positive reviews.
Predictable writing style, fast developing plot. It’s why this author is so good at what she does. Always a page turner, and never a dull moment. Wyatt, picks up almost where we left off in Ford. He’s found a way to deal with the Visa barrier and made it back to Russia to find Coco/Katya and bring her to the US. As fate would have it, that’s not going to be a simple a task as he hopes.
With a few unforeseen plot twists, it leaves the reader with plenty to contemplate – and never quite sure of the final outcome.
After reading Ford, I was starting to feel a little frustrated with this series. Sometimes too much of the same thing, is quite simply – too much. However, with a change of scene – and the development of the story with both Gerri & Wyatt Marshall, the story clicked back into place for me.
This is one of those plot lines I really enjoy. Wyatt and Coco have a long history, and with fleeting reunions through the years they never quite found the truth in circumstances or their mutual feelings. It’s taken something as dramatic as the situation Coco has found herself in, to tip the balance.
There were a few moments that I found a little off, but can’t really describe it without giving something significant away. I will say this, why if something is so obvious to York & Gerri, are RJ & Wyatt so blind?!
No doubt, the Marshall Family series will reach its climax with the final book, Ruby Jane. Her story has flowed throughout the pages of the last two books. I’m hoping there will be some new elements to keep it fresh.
This cover has been my favorite since the author revealed them all online. I enjoyed the story, being an ice hockey fan probably forms a slight bias there. Really loved the small part Jace plays in the book. It was good to see him again!
I received a complimentary copy. This is my honest review.
“Drop the puck. Game time.”
Wow. I think I said that about every book in The Montana Marshalls series. But Susan May Warren really dials up the suspense, action, and romance with each consecutive book! How does she do that?!?! This fourth book in the series follows Wyatt, the fourth born of the Marshalls, as he climbs above his insecurities, his physical injuries while playing as the most beloved goalie in NHL, and his regrets every time he thinks about Coco, the woman who got away. Wyatt, an emotional tough guy who wears his heart on his sleeve, will totally captivate and enchant every reader with his fierce love and loyalty, single-minded devotion, and sense of honor. Coco is also tough and resourceful but vulnerable and lovable at the same time. The secrets revealed in the plot are mind-blowing and I’m already anxiously anticipating what will happen next in the final installment of the series!
The interaction among the Marshall siblings is so incredibly fun, as is their interaction with York. The flashbacks into Wyatt and Coco’s history are well-written and augment the current storyline. We also get to know Gerri Marshall, the matriarch of the family, a little better in this book (I’m hoping that Susan May Warren will write a prequel about Gerri and Orrin since they are so so fascinating). The action is intense as Wyatt, Coco, and York race across Russia to return to the States even as other political threats involving RJ and other characters in the series build throughout the story. The faith element is tangible and relatable as Wyatt struggles to accept his Heavenly Father’s unconditional love as well as his deceased earthly father’s love and Coco struggles in her own way to accept His Omniscient and Omnipresent love.
The series should be read in order since the overarching theme and plot start with Knox (book 1) and will conclude with Ruby Jane (book 5), set to release in Nov 2019. If you enjoy romantic suspense, this series is a must read for 2019. I received a copy of the book via JustRead Publicity Tours and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
My Review Wyatt by Susan May Warren: Now that I know a little more about the character in the series I was excited to dive into Wyatt. And this was a wonderful book (there are kisses and suggestions that more happened, which it did though the characters make sure not to repeat the same mistakes again.) The relationships in this book are actually pretty nice reading about . . . Maybe it’s because the characters are flawed and yet searching for redemption but they are super sweet.I would have liked some more Christian content, like a lot but there were redeeming factors so I’m good with it. Though that snippet of the next book ripped me apart! And sweet Mikka! He’s just so adorable!
The sibling relationships are also a plus in this series, I love that each of the books has had several siblings in it and I just love it!!
Rating: 4 stars.
Recommendation: 17/19 up for romance, slightly violence, suggestions of sleeping together, and mentions of making out.
Verse: 1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us. (King James Version.)
Disclosure: I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
I just love this series and this one about Wyatt. He and Coco have loved each other since they were young. All of the sudden, after the Marshall patriarch dies, Coco disappears back to Russia. Since then, Wyatt has been putting his heart on the ice for the Blue-Ox Hockey Team. When Ruby Jane, the only sister in the Marshall clan, gets accused of an assassination attempt and meets up with Coco, Wyatt decides it is time to find the only girl he has ever really loved. There is so much action in this book, wow! Secrets begin to come out and when they do, Wyatt has some decisions to make. Wyatt has always worn his heart on his sleeve and it is great to see that he begins to trust God and his heart. Cannot wait to read the final book in the series, Ruby Jane, although sad to see the series end. Just love books by Susan May Warren.
Goodness, the wild ride continues! The intricacies of the suspense also continue as more behind-the-scenes details begin to emerge, drawing in more of past characters and diving readers deeper into the mystery of what is really going on. So much about the personal battles for Wyatt and Kat called to me as their personal doubts and fears flooded to the surface as they each faced the choice of whether to keep going as they always had or take a chance on something more. Add in the child’s and Wyatt’s medical concerns, and the author kept me turning pages desperate for more information in almost everyone’s lives! I can’t wait to finish this series with the fifth book!
OH!MY!WORD! Wyatt Marshall grew up striving to find his place in the larger than life Marshall family. His journey to discovering his identity is one we all must take. I so appreciate the spiritual truths woven throughout this story.
Coco Stanley has lived her life under the radar. She longs to belong and to quit looking over her shoulder. She is highly intelligent and resourceful.
Wyatt and Coco’s story demonstrates the power of love to heal and restore. Love never fails!
Recommend to those who enjoy inspirational, romantic suspense.
I borrowed a copy from my local library. All views expressed are my honest opinion.
So familiar, so dangerous, so perfect…
If you want to read a romantic suspense that will keep you on the edge of the seat, this is the book. It kept me turning pages until The End.
“…one day at a time, I stopped letting my grief have me and start giving my hurt-and-my fears-over to Jesus. In exchange, He gave me peace.”
Wyatt is the fourth book in the Montana Marshalls series by Susan May Warren. As impossible as it seems, each book is better than the previous. This series follows the lives of the Marshall siblings. Knox, Tate, Ford, Wyatt and finally Ruby.
Wyatt appears to be the odd man out of the clan. Brothers include a fire Jumper, a bull rider, an Army Ranger and a Navy Seal. How can a man possibly out do any of these? Add the father who has accomplished several of these occupations and it makes for a very unnerving upbringing. Wyatt plays hockey, as a goalie no less. This would normally be seen as a dangerous and thrill seeking life, but not compared to the others.
I wasn’t sure how Wyatt’s story would develop, since hints of his life/occupation were revealed in the other stories. The main suspense story line flows from the first book all through the others, so a reader would do well to read this series in order. I am definitely hooked by the overall suspense thread as well as these totally awesome brothers who battle their own personal demons and insecurities to succeed and reach their happily ever afters.
Wyatt is the most low key of the siblings, but when his true love is in jeopardy, he definitely stands up and takes charge. The characters in this series are wonderful. Each have their own flaws and problems to overcome. It’s been fun seeing how Susan May Warren threads the big picture from one book to the next. The books could be read alone, but why would you limit your enjoyment that way? It was heart wrenching to watch how Wyatt grows in his faith and in his life during this book. I really look forward to seeing how things wrap up in the last book, Ruby. But I am really not looking forward to this series ending.
If you enjoy series books, want a great suspense story line to go along with the happily ever afters and enjoy seeing how faith and God work towards good, this is a series to get and keep. I intend to reread this again and again.
Love the bond between family and lovers. Always helping each other
Great book
I enjoy every book and can hardly wait for the next one. Thank you, Susie
Wyatt was the hardest of the Montana Marshalls books for me to get through. It’s a roller coaster ride of hockey, fight scenes, anxious hospital rooms, and politics in addition to relationship ups and downs. Mikka was an adorable addition to the cast, and it was nice to get more insight into Gerri and York’s characters. Unfortunately, Wyatt and Coco never really meshed well as a couple for me.

As always, Suzie Warren does an outstanding job bringing larger-than-life characters to the big screen in my head. (Definitely great material for a film) She keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering what’s going to happen next, causing you to question everyone and everything. Well done!
Let me start by saying this – I simply cannot get enough of this series. I mean, WOW. This family is just the best, and by the best, I mean the swooniest. Seriously, this is Warren’s best work. Get your fans ready readers, because Wyatt just might surprise you.
Yes, we’ve met Wyatt in previous Montana Marshalls installments, but in this book you get to see his heart. I don’t typically think of a romantic softie when I think of a hockey player, but let me assure you that Wyatt is just that. Oh my goodness, his thoughts towards Coco are enough to make any woman have to take a breath and pull themselves together.
As the others, there was lots of suspense, romance, and yes swoony kisses. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one. I mean, Coco wasn’t a big part of the previous stories, not as much as some of the other characters. The circumstances of where she was in the world was exciting, and added a layer of depth to this series I wasn’t totally ready for. But as Wyatt and Coco reconnected and fced danger together, I couldn’t put the book down. Not until I reached the end, and even then I wasn’t ready for it to be over. I think I might have to brace myself even more for the end of the next book!
At the end of the day Warren fans are going to love Wyatt’s story. He is the brother that has surprised me the most. And that cover! Yep, all the swoony eyes there 🙂
I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
