He’s lost her twice…he’s not going to lose her again… NHL Hockey Goalie Wyatt Marshall has everything–fame, money and a thriving career. But he’s hiding the two things that matter most…a career-ending injury, and his broken heart. He’s been in love with Coco Stanley since she walked into his life at age fourteen, a foster child for the Marshall family. She stole his heart years later, when, … stole his heart years later, when, after a secret tryst, she returned to her home country of Russia. But she won’t let him back into her life—and he can’t figure out why.
She’s harboring a secret that could cost lives…
Coco Stanley is tired of living her life undercover. Or at least, with an assumed name, always pretending to be someone she’s not. And that’s not the only secret she’s harboring. If Wyatt discovers the real reason she left him, it might just destroy him. She’s resigned herself to loving him from afar…
But when he discovers she’s in danger…
Wyatt is horrified when he learns Coco has been shot and left in Russia, her fate unknown. There is nothing—nothing—that will stop him from finding her. So what if he’s not one of his super-heroic brothers, not a Ranger, not a SEAL…Wyatt is a hockey goalie, a special kind of crazy brave. Except, is he brave enough to face the secret Coco is keeping, or will it destroy everything he’s hoped for?
What will it cost them to save her?
What Wyatt and Coco don’t know is that revenge is stalking her and bringing her home just might cost them their long-awaited happy ending.
Continue the breath-taking Montana Marshalls series!

Susie’s books are like potato chips…you can’t read just one. I’m always ready to reach for the next as soon as I finish one. Wyatt is jam packed with adventure, stress, family, friends, romance, and action! An excellent read
Wyatt Marshall is simply adorable. I’ve read all four books in the Montana Marshalls series and enjoyed each one, but this latest is vying for my favorite. It feels very realistic for the Christian Romance genre. Wyatt and Coco are not perfect people. They have a past that isn’t pretty, but their messiness is what makes it interesting. There’s a little steam without being inappropriate, a whole lot of suspense, and the faith element that I always enjoy seeing in a book. But mostly, it’s Wyatt that makes this so much fun to read. If you don’t love him at the end of the book, there’s something wrong with you. I received an ARC, but I’ll be ordering it for my own collection as soon as the paperback is available for purchase.
This was a GREAT continuation of the last book (Ford’s story)! RJ (Ruby Jane) and York are still trying to find the Russian killer who is after them and Wyatt goes to Russia to find Coco and bring her safely to the USA. Wyatt tries desperately to protect her while they are on the run, not knowing who is after them and why.
I liked reading about Wyatt’s struggles with his relationship with his dad not knowing his dads sacrifices and reasons, and then finding out why he did what he did. It made it very real-the struggle sometimes that children have with their parents not knowing the whole story or being mature enough to handle adult reasoning.
I absolutely loved the mom Gerri’s role in the book-especially towards the end with her talking to Coco and praying over her. I had tears reading it-such faith! This story had such a powerful testimony about God’s love and about forgiveness.
This love story of Wyatt had lots of intrigue, murder, nonstop action, clean romance… I absolutely LOVED IT and can’t wait for the next book!
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
Be still my heart…Book #4, “Wyatt” exceeded expectations for this series. His heart for Coco is swoon worthy and his imperfections made the book more real. Be sure to read the entire series as there are underlying themes that will be missed if you haven’t read the first three books. Believe me they will be quick reads, as it is very hard waiting in between books. So dive into…
Book #1: Knox
Book #2: Tate
Book #3: Ford
Book #4: Wyatt
Book #5: Ruby Jane (releases in Nov 2019)
“Wyatt Marshall hadn’t come all the way to Russia only to fail.”
Yes, Russia. Except, he showed up with his entire Minnesota blue ox NHL hockey team. Now he has to figure out how to save the woman he loves who was left behind when shot after his brothers went to rescue Ruby Jane. It broke his heart and was driving him nuts that he couldn’t get her out of Russia sooner. He had finally figured out a way in, but trying to get to her was still perplexing. He struggles with measuring up to his brothers, especially with two of them having special ops backgrounds. As the story unfolds he walks right back into danger, off the ice this time. With an injury complicating things and Coco refusing to follow him back home. She’s carrying a mystery and refuses to let him help her leave the country. As more danger unfolds he needs the help of the same man who helped Ruby Jane escape and his Russian friends.
Action, adventure, and intrigue impact the entire family this time. Can they survive the mystery that is surrounding them? I loved seeing Gerri Marshall step in this time and take on a larger role. I absolutely loved seeing characters from Warren’s prior books show up and help in their escape.
Ruby Jane and York continue to draw our hearts with the hope that they can reunite and stop the conspiracy and assassination attempts. As the Marshall’s come together, can they stop the danger in time or will they lose one of their loved ones? I absolutely loved seeing everyone work together.
Can I be a part of the Marshall family? If you love family, adventure, mystery, suspense, travel and of course romance, you will love the Marshall family series. One of the things I love about Warren’s books is how she weaves faith into the storyline. Gerri Marshall has this to say to Coco who still struggles to be accepted in their family since she was a foster child….“You don’t have to do any of this alone. We are with you. God is with you. Commit yourself to the Lord. Let Him deliver you. Let Him rescue you, because He delights in you.” I love her wisdom and her fun side coming out in this book.
One of my favorite quotes was “He grinned, and shoot, he was an assassin because he could slay her with his smile.” You’ll just have to read Wyatt to figure out who said those words! If you love romance with action and adventure… Then you will love Susan May Warren!
Though I bought my own copy of Wyatt, I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from JustRead Tours. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
Wyatt by Susan May Warren is a gripping contemporary Christian romantic suspense that I just could not put down and read in just one sitting. It is the fourth book in the Montana Marshalls series and could be read as a stand-alone. I however recommend reading all the books in order so you can join all the dots.
Wow, this Montana Marshalls series is completely enthralling, my heart racing with all the action. There are locations of America and Russia, traditional Cold War enemies. Agents from both sides pit their wits. Chase scenes, terrorists and homemade bombs all add to the suspense, as well as cyber hacking. The reader is in for a thrilling ride. I cannot wait to continue the action in book five.
Add to all this, the heart and hand of God, and Wyatt really does have it all. Too often we try to work our way to be ‘good enough’ for God when we are already loved and cherished. There is nothing more to be done as Jesus did it all on the cross. God says trust Me in all situations and let Me love you. “You’re enough and you’re loved because God says so.”
We all do things we are not proud of. God’s grace covers our past, our present and our future. “I could go forward trusting Jesus to carry me, or stay stuck.” Jesus can make all things new.
Children are a blessing from God. No child is unplanned by God, no matter how much their conception may surprise their parents. No child is ever a ‘mistake’ in God’s eyes. All children are gifts from God.
There is the theme of healing – both physical and a healing of hearts.
Family is important. We need to tell our children about Jesus. We need to make Him our priority and introduce our children to Him so they learn to love Him too. “At the end of the day… you prayed together. You showed up for each other.”
Susan May Warren has created a wonderful set of characters in her Montana Marshalls series. They have each other’s backs, they love and care for each other. They are a unit. It is a delight getting to know the Marshalls as each book focuses on a different member.
Wyatt was a racing read. I loved it. I love all Susan May Warren’s books.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
Susan May Warren is one of those authors who can crank out the novels almost faster than I can keep up. With her Montana Marshalls series that is a very good thing because each of the novels in this series left me eager for the next one because by gosh, she left me hanging with questions I needed to have answered asap. As in many of her series, the author gave plenty of space in the plot of each book for the primary characters of the following novels. So like many of her readers Ford left me wanting to know what happened next for both Wyatt and RJ.
Well, with Wyatt’s story I was able to catch up with Wyatt and RJ but I still have to wait for RJ’s book to get the rest of the story. Meanwhile Wyatt’s story was a doozy with enough suspense for several novels and more than enough plot twists and major surprises to keep this reader happy. Lots of miscommunication along the romantic front left me just a bit frustrated with the participants but the author has a gift for working out all the wrinkles. Like his brothers in the previous novels of the series, Wyatt learned that his own perceptions of his standing in his family, especially with his father, were a bit skewed. I liked the way Warren wove a strong message of faith into the plot so seamlessly.
Wyatt’s riveting story took me from the streets of Russia, back to Montana, then on to Seattle for a stunning conclusion. It was a difficult book to put down and I read it in record time. I highly recommend this book but strongly suggest that readers begin with the first book and read them in the order released to get the entire story. Take it from me, it is very worth it!

An action packed family affair.
Wyatt has always felt like the black sheep of the family choosing to pursue professional sports instead of staying to work the family ranch. He’s worked so hard to reach the peak of his career, but now a secret from his past and a serious injury could end it all. Wyatt never stopped caring for his family’s foster daughter, Coco, and has always wondered why she disappeared out of his life.
Wyatt lives a hyper focused life built around his career. He’s good at focusing on one thing, and excelling, which is how he succeeded in the NHL. But new revelations about his sister and Coco has him off kilter, with his razor sharp focus spread thin. He is a talented player and he wants to be a good man, he has good mentors, family and friends all in his corner. He is good at being professional and working to play hard, but he tends to shy away from the personal.
This book brings back many family members from previous books as series long story threads are once again picked up as we discover more about Wyatt’s sister Ruby Jane and her dangerous government job, as well as her mysterious friend, York. I love how the family has grown closer over time, and how supportive they are of each other, even though they have their differences. The fourth book of the series, I personally wouldn’t read them out of order as things happen chronologically that drastically affect future events, each book picks up right after the last, and introduces you to the next sibling.
I have devoured every book so far in this series, and this one is no different. From the complex characters who grow in their character and faith throughout the series, as well as family and friendships that develop along the way.
This is a riveting read, with well paced storytelling that kept me engaged, and not wanting to put it down. Well worth the read. I can’t wait to read Ruby Jane!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I am loving the Montana Marshalls and Wyatt was yet another great addition to the series! I love reunion romances and it was great to finally get Wyatt and Coco’s story, they are both very sweet characters and I loved watching them overcome the baggage of their past and start to rebuild their relationship. This series has more twists and turns than a bakery full of pretzels, all of which never fail to bring me to the edge of my seat. The plot has thickened with each book, and I cannot wait to see what happens next in the fifth and final book, Ruby Jane! I have to say that Ford is still my favorite book in the series so far, but I truly did love reading Wyatt! This series is one of Susie May’s best and I highly recommend it! If you haven’t started the series yet I recommend you begin with book one, Knox. This is definitely a series that is best read in order, and trust me you won’t want to miss a single moment of the awesomeness that is this series!
I received an ebook copy of this book from the publisher which did not influence my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.
Hurray for another book in this Montana Marshall series!! The story keeps growing in strength and intensity as one book ends and another begins. I love the fast paced, constant forward momentum that keeps me glued to the pages from beginning to end. I really had a hard time putting this book down.
Wyatt and Coco have history- most of which has ended badly, repeatedly. Honestly, I love Wyatt. He’s a bit different than the other boys in his professional decisions and how he grew up mostly outside of the circle of home but he definitely has that Marshall tenacity. Wyatt is persistent and just keeps coming after Coco like he can’t live without her and he lays it all on the line. He is fierce in finding and defending her.
Susan May Warren creates characters that are definable, interesting and imperfect. These Marshalls make mistakes, they get knocked down, but they get back up again. Over and over. They keep trying. I think that’s what I love about them the most.
The plot has reach a point where all roads have converged. The family is putting all the pieces together and the story has shifted from Russia back to the United States. The next book is going to be a doozy!! I’m so excited for it!
Content: some violence, mention of intimate relations outside of marriage with no details, death, peril, kissing.
– I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
Have you ever felt like you were the only one who was a failure? That no matter what you did it was never enough. Have you ever come from a large family and felt lost in the middle or compared to the other siblings and found wanting?
These are all the things Wyatt Marshall feels. He never feels he was loved by his dad or able to match-up to his other siblings. However, knowing the only woman he ever loved is in trouble in Russia, he does the most logical thing to him. He goes to Russia and tries to rescue her. Unfortunately, he finds he might need rescuing too.
He’ll do anything to help Coco, and because of that, he gets into more tumbles and problems than he can count. Will he ever be able to save Coco, and will she come back to America with him? Well, you’ll just have to read this book to find out the answers to all these questions.
In this story, it’s fun to read more about Ruby Jane and York, Tate and Glo, and many of the other Marshall family members.
I really love this family. They are a big family, and it might seem like they’re in each other’s business, but they really do love and support each other. I am totally enjoying getting to know this whole Marshall family. I wish I could meet this very larger than life family from Montana. I think I’d love to have them as friends.
There are many surprises along the way and this book will bring your emotions under attack. It will keep you up late and not let you stop to cook dinner for the family . . . Ooops, that might only be me! Hehe!
But truly, this book and whole series will touch your heart in ways you never thought a book could do. I have found, anytime I pick up a book written by Susan May Warren I will get many life lessons. She has a beautiful way of speaking truth to our souls through her words.
Susan May Warren is a gifted author and captivates the reader with the very first lines in her books.
In this book and series, there is non-stop action, romance, drama, running for their lives, kidnapping attempts, shootings, pain, Oh, the pains! I feel so sorry for these characters and what the author puts them through. She does it all in a way which will keep you stuck to your chair, not wanting to put the book down!
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, I’m at a loss to have words eloquent enough to convey the depth of emotions and feelings I get each time I pick up one of Susan May Warrens’ books.
Whatever Ms. Warren writes I’ll read because I know I’ll be captivated and blessed in a way that is life-changing.
I was given this book by the publisher which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Susan May Warren earns all five stars in the latest edition of the Montana Marshalls family series! Grab the tissues because you will surely need some. Expect some laughs and poignant moments, too. And do not be surprised to give loud verbal advice to fictional characters. Appealing to fans of inspirational fiction, inspirational suspense, cowboys and those who cheer for the underdog, Wyatt contains it all.
I received a complimentary copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion.
Susan May Warren has done it once again. I can’t decide which Marshall brother I love the most. Sweet Wyatt us cast into the role of superhero, something he never felt he was, as he struggles to find and keep safe the woman he has always loved.
Then to add to the pot Coco is hiding something that could completely derail Wyatt’s future. As he struggles to come to grips with past mistakes you weep with him and Coco as they both try to find their way. I highly recommend this fourth Marshall brother. Just don’t begin the stor6 at night or you will be up all night as once you start you’re hooked til the last word on the last page.
Another great installment in “The Montana Marshalls Series.” This book takes a look at how we allow our perception of ourselves to weave doubt into the fabric of our lives.
Wyatt’s feeling of never quite fitting into his family led him to misunderstand his father’s actions when he was younger. Being set free to chase his dreams, felt like rejection. Every decision, success, failure was measured against his desire to be good enough.
Coco also felt alone and rejected. Being part of the Marshall Family was too good to be true, and her connection with Wyatt was something to hold onto—until he was gone. Feeling all alone she runs halfway across the world to her homeland.
Both Wyatt and Coco must face their own personal issues. They soon find that love and good intentions are never enough. In their frailties they find that only God can fill the emptiness of the soul, leaving room then for them to flourish.
Full of action, suspense, angst, love and family, they find their way back to each other. This is a great book and I finished it feeling both satisfied and anxious for the next book. I recommend it.
“Wyatt Marshall hadn’t come all the way to Russia only to fail.”
Wyatt, the highly anticipated fourth novel in award-winning author Susan May Warren’s Montana Marshalls series, is a must-read for fans of adrenaline-filled, action-packed, swoon-worthy contemporary romance.
“She loved him more than her very breath.”
NHL goalie Wyatt Marshall heads to Russia in an attempt to save his true love, Coco Stanley, after she is shot and still in extreme danger. While secrets and unresolved feelings from the past threaten their future happiness, Wyatt and Coco are determined to clear his sister RJ’s name after being framed in an assassination attempt on Russian General Boris Stanislov.
“She’d fallen not for the strong, steely-eyed athlete who stood alone between the posts, not the cover-model hockey player, the one who made a few pin-up and most-eligible lists on social media, but the rare, quiet man inside who tried to sing country music, donned a cowboy hat, and took her riding. The man who listened when she was hurting and asked for nothing. But gave her everything when she asked.”
Strong, passionate, and determined Wyatt Marshall will do anything to save the woman he loves. His devotion to his family and his one true love makes him an irresistible superstar hero, and he is giving Tate some intense competition as my favorite Marshall brother. A bombshell revelation at the end of the first chapter starts Wyatt off with a bang, and the action is only just beginning. Get ready for Susan May Warren to take you on a thrilling ride filled with heart-stopping romance, intense action, and…just a warning… tears will be shed during the reading of this novel.
Susan May Warren is one of my favorite must-read authors because of her ability to write incredible family-centered series that have the perfect blend of romance and action. Her writing beautifully weaves the spiritual elements into the storyline as she shares the powerful message that we are enough and that we are loved because God says so.
Wyatt is highly recommended for readers who enjoy action-packed contemporary romance. Wyatt is my favorite book in the series so far, even though Tate is still proudly holding onto his title as my favorite Marshall brother. Ruby Jane, the conclusion to the Montana Marshalls series, will release in November, and I can’t wait for RJ’s story even though I do not want this fantastic series to end.
“His blue eyes held a rare twinkle. ‘Oh goody. Another Marshall brother.’ He caught her hand. ‘Let’s see. Ford beat me up. Wyatt nearly got me killed. Maybe Tate can get me arrested.’ ”
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author/publisher and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.
