One hot Cocky Cop that might be able to be tamed! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Can anyone tame a Cocky Cocker Cop? Wyatt is the playboy on the force who has his chief wanting him to tame his ways. When he meets a girl who makes him want to think again about being a play boy will he stop? Is Diana the one who can tame the wild Cop? Diana is the activities coordinator at Grams’ senior living center and has learned so much about the family. Will Grams be the one to help or out distance between these two? Faleena does a wonderful job of updating on everyone and see how each Cocker get their happily ever after. You will have every emotion in this book! I can wait to read about the next Cocker
Another welcome addition to the Cocker Family. Wyatt is such a good guy. Knows what he wants to do with his life and moves forward with focus.
Fairly well edited.
Wyatt is the son of Jeremy and Meagan. He has known since his early teens that he wanted to be a cop. For years, that has been his focus. What most of his family has seen as a lack of commitment in the relationship department has actually been commitment to his chosen profession. In Diana, he finally meets someone who broadens his horizon. Diana works at the assisted living facility where Grams is a resident. They have a friendship separate from the rest of the Cocker clan. In a meeting reminiscent of Jeremy and Meagan’s, Wyatt and Diana crash into each other’s life. From there, Wyatt begins a slow, determined pursuit of Diana. Will the family believe in Wyatt’s commitment? Will Diana give Wyatt a chance after being warned off several times?
For me, this was a bit of a departure for Ms. Hopkins. In so many of the previous books, the chemistry ignites quickly and often. Here, we get a much slower, methodical, intentional burn. Wyatt knows everyone sees him as a player, almost incapable of a relationship. While he hasn’t thought about it too much, it still bothers him. When he meets Diana, he is determined to make sure he knows her as a person, and that she knows he wants her as a person as well as physically. Family is once again everything (as it should be!). I really enjoyed the slightly different pace of this one – as much as I have enjoyed the pace of all the others. I think this shows that Ms. Hopkins has great depth – able to write the white hot chemistry burn as well as the slow intentional burn. Love comes in many ways – sometimes instant, sometimes fast, and sometimes slow. But, it is always love. And for the Cockers, it is always centered on family. Looking forward to seeing Ben find a HEA, as well as seeing which cousin is up next. Enjoy!
This book is such a beautiful Cocker story! It brings together the whole tribe, from Grams to her youngest great-great grandkids. Everyone is mentioned in this book, and it was like a family reunion for me to read about the 6 brothers, Grandpa Michael, Grandma Nance and all the cousins and their families. This book was full of emotions, made me laugh, cry, smile, swoon, even made me feel angry at times. It gave me a feeling as if this series is coming to an end, and that made me really sad! I can’t let go of this beautiful family. I’ve grown attached to them.
Thank you Faleena Hopkins for another lovely story about the Cockers.
If you love this family, then this is one book in the series that you absolutely cannot miss.
Wyatt is the cocky cop in the Cocker family. Every woman in Atlanta loves him. He even has a blog that features pictures of him I all aspects of his police work. He’s a big fan of spreading the love around and never sees himself getting married or even serious with just one woman.
Diana is a sweet woman with multiple ties to the Cocker family both direct and indirect. When she is hit by Wyatt’s partner while he’s driving through a horrible southern storm, she doesn’t realize that a bruised leg is going to be the least of her worries. Will this cocky cop bruise her heart also?
I’m not sure how the author keeps coming up with new plots for the Cocker family, but I so glad that she does.
This is Wyatt’s story. He meets Diana during a severe storm. She knows who he is, and has a tie to another member of his family. They have an immediate connection, but also drive each other a little crazy as well. There is a slow burn to their romance as they take the time to get to know each other. I caught myself smiling at times, but also had my eyes burning with tears on a couple of occasions. I really enjoyed their story.
This story is about family, trusting your heart and finding-your-once-in-a-lifetime-forever-love. A page-turner read that makes you smile, laugh and stirs up emotions.
Wyatt’s colorful persona and good looks have women fawning for his attention. He takes pride in being a good cop. Diana is an intelligent feisty woman. The witty banter between them rocks.
Incredible read with fantastic scene descriptions, praise-worthy characters, and sizzling romance. I loved Wyatt and Diana together; a perfect match. The family element in this series always touches my soul.
I love the Cocker family! They keep growing, and we meet new members while we say hello to characters we haven’t seen in awhile. Wyatt is dashing and quite the ladies’ man. Is he capable of settling down? I also really liked Diana’s character. And there is always time for some good ol’ laughs with these Cockers!
Loved Wyatt and Diana. I did think their story was unique. I hated to see Grams die, but it had to come at some point.
Love all the books in this series. Makes you want to know more about the characters and their family. Great book as always from Faleena!
