Chelsea Cooper thinks her best friend’s fiancé is the world’s biggest jerk.
She’s never really been one to make waves, but when it comes to that guy, Chelsea’s willing to make an exception. There’s just no way she can let her best friend make the biggest mistake of her life by marrying him. She’ll do anything to stop the wedding, even if it means teaming up with the one person who’s an even … even bigger jerk—the groom-to-be’s best friend.
Drew Russo thinks his best friend’s fiancée’s best friend is the prickliest woman alive.
Everything about Chelsea aggravates him. She’s too structured, too uptight, and too opinionated—especially when it comes to her thoughts on his best friend. When he’s tasked with keeping her away from their best friends’ secret wedding, Drew knows he’s in for one hell of a challenge. Never mind the days he’ll have to spend trapped in a car with the world’s most annoying woman.
The plan is simple enough—keep Chelsea from interfering with the wedding. But between distractions, delays and detours, they discover they aren’t the enemies they thought they were. And sometimes a wrong turn can lead you in the right direction.
Warning—This sweet, sexy, and laugh out loud funny romance is filled with all the most ridiculous road trip stories you can imagine and will make you realize sometimes being wrong can be a lot more fun than being right.

A well-meaning effort to stop a train-wreck wedding goes disastrously wrong and leads to a road-trip of several days for a pair of friendly enemies in this second book in Samantha Chase’s RoadTripping series.
Funny, sweet, a little spicy and thoroughly entertaining, Wrong Turn is a great summer read that’s perfect to a trip to the cottage, an afternoon at the beach or a quiet afternoon social distancing on the balcony or back deck.
This is the perfect road trip that you don’t even have to leave your own couch. Drew and Chelsea have mutual best friends that have gone off to elope and Chelsea thinks it it the worse thing to happen. Chelsea has talked Drew into a road trip to try and stop this elopement. Chelsea and Drew have never really gotten along but along the way, they finally get to now each other much better. They will make many wrong turns before they reach their HEA.
Loved this couple!! So many laugh out moments with their banter. Great chemistry between them. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. These are the perfect romcom stories during quarantine!
Chelsea and Drew are the very definition of frenemies. These two are like oil and water. Or so they think. They’ve been manipulated by Chelsea’s best friend for over a year. And now that they are trying to stop her wedding and spending time driving down to SC, they find that they not only like each other but LIKE each other. The trip starts off with lies and wrong turns but then they get going in the exact right direction.
As always, Samantha Chase has written a love story I love! Chelsea and Drew started out with a “wrong turn” that turned into a “right turn” in the end! I greatly enjoyed reading their story develop and highly recommend this journey of a book!
This was just pure fun wrapped up in an enemies to friends to lovers story. Chelsea and Drew have been circling each other for the past year after their best friends hooked up and now are engaged and BAM now are off to elope. This sends Chelsea into a tailspin to stop the elopement and Drew to stop Chelsea and sets them off on a road trip. That is all I’m going to tell you about this one except hang on to you kindle because this one goes fast. It was fun and witty and perfected paced. Definitely having a great time with this series! This one can be read as a standalone.
What happens when you hate your best friend’s boyfriend’s best friend? It’s not pretty! Chelsea and Drew are thrown together because their best friends are a couple. A horrible, immature, self-absorbed couple, to be blunt. It says a lot, both good and bad, that Drew and Chelsea are still friends with Jimmy and Chelsea. And those friendships reflect how they each see the other.
All it takes to view each other in a different light is a road trip to stop Bianca and Jimmy’s wedding. Or, in Drew’s case, stall Chelsea from getting to the resort on time! The banter between our leads is everything! Funny and filled with both innuendo and good natured digs, their chemistry shines through with first their words, then their actions.
While the obvious theme of Wrong Turn is about Chelsea and Drew’s changes in attitude towards each other, it also is about their individual growth. As a reader, it made me think about the relationships in my life, and how far I’d go for a friend…or when it’s time to let go of a friendship that is toxic.
Samantha Chase has another hit on her hands with this humorous but definitely thought-provoking read!
I really liked this story, especially Chelsea and Drew. The road trip was too funny especially when Chelsea sort of figured out he was doing all the wrong turns intentionally. It gave them the time together to get to really know each other, which is what they both needed. My favorite part was her reading to him from a book on her kindle which just happened to be the first book in this series ‘Drive me Crazy’, great touch to add to this book. I have to say that I personally didn’t care for Jimmy or Bianca or their entourage, but I was so proud of Chelsea for finally telling Bianca off and giving her the push she needed to change things including her behavior. The ending was good, a fresh start for everyone. Enjoyed reading about Drew and Chelsea.
This is the second, stand alone book in the Road Tripping series, following Drive Me Crazy. I enjoyed the overall story but didn’t ever feel as connected with Chelsea and Drew the way I do with other characters she writes. They meet innocently enough, through friends. They have an instant antagonistic relationship but end up hitting the road to “stop an elopement” of their two friends.
Along the way, they are forced to look at the other one through the flaws, the humor, the basic truth and what they were told was the truth. There are some intense moments when they are both open and honest. There is some humor. But I just never felt the connection that I usually feel for the characters in Ms. Chase’s stories. I’m sure it’s there. I’ve read everything she’s every written and some stories hit you a little more than others. I would never miss one of her books. It was a nice afternoon story to spend the day with.
Light, fun, sexy and action packed adventure filled with laugh out loud hi-jinks, witty banter, secret agendas, engaging charters and emotionally thrilling twists. Was a highly entertaining and fun journey from enemies to so much more. Loved it!
Chelsea is on a mission to stop her best friend, Bianca from eloping.
She feels that her friend is about to make a huge mistake.
Jimmy enlists the help of his friend Drew to keep Chelsea from crashing the wedding.
Chelsea and Drew have a “love” adventure while on the road. The question is if it will last once they reach there destination.
Absolutely love this series!!! The storyline is marvelous and the characters are superb. Ms. Chase’s character development, main and secondary, was superb. This book should definitely be on your summer “to be read” list. It is fun, sweet and will make you laugh out loud. But it also will make feel like punching someone a few times as well give a few steamy thoughts of your own. While going through all the feels, good and not so good, you’ll keep turning those pages to uncover the next Wrong Turn. You will love this series.
Chelsea and Drew’s story in Wrong Turn, book two in Samantha Chase’s Road Tripping series, is a wonderful, amusing, smexy, and laugh-out-loud tale of dealing with best friends and finding love when you least expect it. I could not put this book down, reading it in one day.
Chelsea thinks her best friend is making the biggest mistake of her life marrying a guy who is the world’s biggest jerk; or at the very least immature. When she learns that they are eloping, she knows she has to stop the wedding; even if it means partnering up with the one person who she believes is worse than the groom to be, his best friend. Drew believes his best friend’s fiancé’s is the most uptight and boring person. So when he’s given the job to prevent Chelsea from interfering with the wedding he knows he’s will be challenged. Drew decides to make them miss their flight and drive to the destination wedding; trapped in a car with a woman who likes to push his buttons. Starting out unable to tolerate each other, they discover between the miles passing by, distractions, detours and delays, they aren’t the enemies they thought they were. They realize that they misjudged each other and have sizzling, off the charts chemistry. In fact, the one thing they did learn during this road trip is that sometimes being wrong can definitely be way more fun than being right.
Ms. Chase wrote a wonderful, heartwarming and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, out loud laughs, and charming characters giving Chelsea and Drew the love and happiness needed for a forever together. I highly recommend Wrong Turn to other readers and look forward to reading the next book in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Sometimes a wrong turn can you lead you in the right direction. Drew is in rut. Chelsea never feels like she fits in. Drew wants something more out of life. They are two people on their way to their best friends wedding for totally different reason. This is an enemies to lovers romance. Chelsea is overly serious and studious. Drew can sometimes be jerk and selfish. On this road trip they come to realize how perfect they are for one another. Chelsea’s intellect, snark and witty banter draws him to her. Chelsea is what is missing from Drew’s life. Chelsea deserves to be happy and Drew makes her happy. She is book narrator and my favorite part of this book is when Drew wants Chelsea to read to him. By taking that wrong turn they start to really like what they see and start falling in love.
4.5 Stars for Wrong Turn book 2 in the Road Tripping Series.
I haven read book one but that took nothing away from this book and I still enjoyed and followed Wrong Turn with no issues that being said I will be going back to read the book while I wait for the next release in this series. A enemies to lovers romance that drew me in and captivated me from the first page to the last line and I’m sure this story will appeal to all romance lovers.
They say opposites attract and that is certainly the case for Chelsea and Drew, he can’t stand the woman he sees as bossy and overpowering and he will do what ever is needed to stay out of her way but when his best friend elopes with her best friend he is given the job of keeping Chelsea occupied so she can’t highjack the wedding……..what follows is a very interesting road trip where this couple get to know each other and I mean really get to know each other………
This book ticked all my boxes , I laughed out loud, I smiled and I sighed a lot, I loved the story and the characters and I’m looking forward to playing catch up with this series. Entertaining fun read.
Wrong Turn
Book 2 RoadTripping
Samantha Chase
What an amazing story! Kept my interest throughout! I didn’t want the story to end! Made me feel like I was right there along with them on their road trip. Love the characters!!
““Sweetheart, there is one very important thing I’ve learned about getting lost while driving.”“And what’s that?”“That sometimes a wrong turn can lead you in the right direction,” she said, smiling. “Everything about our meeting and early relationship was wrong. We let other people direct us in what we should do and say. But look where it brought us.” And d*** if that wasn’t the most perfect description of their relationship.”
Very highly recommend. Can not wait for the next book!!
I can’t get enough of this new series by Samantha! 5 road trippin stars for this one!
Meet Chelsea, the friend who’s always the designated driver and the voice of reason. It’s not that she doesn’t like her best friends new fiance’, it’s that she feels sorry for him because her bff will chew him up in the long run. Yet every Friday night, she’s hanging out with him, her bff and other friends. She always ends up next to Drew, who she’s sure doesn’t like her. When she finds out her friend took off, to get married, she’s ready to go and stop the wedding, and Drew offers to help her with this.
Will these two survive with their differences, or will they see they actually have a lot in common?
I loved this story, my review really doesn’t do it justice, but I hate to spoil a story! Grab this asap!
WRONG TURN is the second instalment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult ROADTRIPPING romance series. This is thirty year old, software specialist Drew Russo, and twenty-nine year old, physio therapist / voice narrator Chelsea Coopers story line. WRONG TURN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Drew and Chelsea) WRONG TURN follows the enemies to lovers relationship between thirty year old, software specialist Drew Russo, and twenty-nine year old, physio therapist / voice narrator Chelsea Cooper. For close to a year Chelsea Cooper has struggled to accept her best friend Bianca’s relationship with Jimmy, a relationship that was about to become more serious. Friday night get togethers meant spending time with Jimmy’s best friend Drew Russo, a man who pushed all of our heroine’s buttons but when Bianca and Jimmy left town for a secret destination wedding, Chelsea made it her mission to stop the wedding at all cost. Enter Drew Russo, Jimmy’s best friend, and the man with whom Chelsea will fall in love. What ensues is a cross country journey between Drew and Chelsea, and the potential fall-out as Chelsea comes to the realization that she is better off alone than with friends who continually push her down.
Chelsea Cooper battles between head and heart as it pertains to her best friend Bianca, a self-centred, self-righteous “Malibu Barbie” type who never considers the feelings of anyone else but it has taken Bianca most of her life to realize she has enabled her friend in all the wrong ways, adding to the toxicity of their struggling relationship. Hoping to stop Bianca from crashing the wedding, Drew makes all the wrong turns in their cross country trek, but finds himself falling in love, along the way.
The relationship between Chelsea and Drew is an enemies to lovers wherein our couple will discover their hatred for one another was fueled by the very friends tearing them down. Chelsea and Drew will have several heart to heart talks that will reveal the truth about what has happened, and probably why. The back and forth banter is witty and fun. The $ex scenes are all implied and fade to black.
We are introduced to Chelsea’s best friend Bianca, and Drew’s best friend Jimmy, as well as Bianca and Chelsea’s friends Kendall and Shauna.
WRONG TURN focuses on two converging pathways: the toxic relationship of life long friends, and the fall-out when one friend has finally had enough; and the building relationship between Chelsea and Drew. The maturity level of many of the characters is questionable-their behavior and emotional out-bursts are adolescent and frustrating-I wanted to give everyone a time out. The premise is, at times, heart breaking; the character’s attitudes are discouraging but saying that, Samantha Chase wrote a story that will resonate with many readers who have quite possibly experienced something similar in their own lives.
The author has also added a bit of an “Easter Egg” from Drive Me Crazy.
If wishes were rainbows and heartache was sunshine, the world we be a much better place. However, we live in the real world and life just doesn’t work out that way. So it’s nice to take a step away for a while when reality tends to get a bit too real. Wrong Turn gives emotions a chance to take a breather and bask in the sun. Chase has dreamt up a trip worth taking in Chelsea and Drew. Whether they are the duo you love to hate or the sweetest kind of charm, this couple is one you’ll never regret having taken a chance on.
4 star review of Wrong Turn (Road Tripping #2) by Samantha Chase
This is an enemies to lovers story that drew me in and hooked me from the first to the last chapter. Chelsea Cooper thinks her best friend’s fiance is a jerk and will do whatever it takes to stop her from making a big mistake, even if it means putting up with the jerks best friend Drew Russo.
Chelsea and Drew could not be more opposite. Drew cannot stand Chelsea, he finds her too bossy, a know it all and someone he wants to avoid at all costs. Charged with keeping her occupied while their friends elope, Drew is unhappy. Of course there is a fine line between love and hate and forced into the confined space of a road trip, sparks fly between Chelsea and Drew.
There were numerous laugh out loud moments, romance and steam that made this an entertaining read. Ironically despite their rocky start Chelsea and Drew end up agreeing that the wedding should not go ahead which of course leads to some shenanigans that had me in tears of laughter.
I have read several books by Samantha Chase and I found this one to be as well written and enjoyable as her previous books.
Wrong Turn
Road Tripping #2

“Sometimes a wrong turn can lead you in the right direction”, this quote says it all, whether it be in fictional book life or real life. Chelsea and Drew are all kinds of wrong for each other, they despise each other like nothing else, but working together to stop the wedding of their perspective best friends (all be it for opposite reasons), spending two days in a car is going to be hell.
Chelsea is an occupational therapist and a audio narrator, but if you ask her friend she’s boring and, unattractive (who really needs friends like that). She spends every Friday night with best friend Bianca m her boyfriend/ fiancé Jimmy, his best friend Drew and a few others. She never really fits in and cannot stand Jimmy and his mate Drew. For grown men they’re like children…. Now she’s about to spend a very long time with Drew in an attempt to stop Bianca marrying Jimmy.
Drew has been given the ultimate job, keep Bianca away from the destination wedding of Bianca and Jimmy, but when someone opens their big mouth, Chelsea drops everything to stop her best friend marrying the worst man. But that means travelling with her other worst enemy, it’s not all champagne and roses for Drew either, stopping this crazy woman is one thing, but getting to know her is something totally different and nothing like what he expects.
In a winding road of drama, threats, curse words and anxiety Drew and Chelsea find something else… an unlikely friendship, laughs, really seeing each other for the first time instead of the poison attached by their so called friends. Chelsea discovers Drew isn’t as aweful and dumb as she thought, and Drew finds mystery in Chelsea, Nostradamus of THAT girl in a friendship group. I mean who needs enemies when you have friends like Bianca…. Chelsea will always fight for what’s right, and Drew sees that, but what he didn’t expect was falling for her. She’s smart, witty, a little crazy but more importantly, beautiful on the inside, something he never got to see in their social setting.
A road trip together is one thing but returning to the real world is something different. This trip will turn everything they have upside down, but puts a lot more in perspective! The result may just surprise you!
