Mistaken identity, drunk texts, and hysterical mishaps… just another day in my life.Girls all over the world spill the tea to me about their most intimate questions. They thank me for talking about sex with them. For fixing their love lives.I wonder if I’d still be a relationship influencer if they knew what a train wreck my own love life is?If I was writing anyone else advice, it would say things … writing anyone else advice, it would say things like:
Never drunk-text your ex-boyfriend.
No, seriously, that’s a terrible idea.
But if you insist, maybe double-check the number first.
Oops.
But I guess I give good…text, because the stranger I messaged wrote back.
And I responded.
He doesn’t have to put up with my colorful personality—as my hot next-door neighbor describes me. Or my messy schedule.
This relationship is as seemingly perfect as my online persona.
Until we agree to meet up.
When he meets the real me, will he hate me forever?
Or will we be one day telling our grandkids about that wrong text, right love?

Percy is a flamboyant character who is friendly and outgoing as well as being a social media influencer. Ford is a grumpy playboy billionaire who likes to live as a recluse, and just so happens to be Percy’s neighbour. These two are like petrol and a match, yet together they may be perfect. When Percy is drunk texting to her ex-boyfriend or so she thinks, she ends up chatting to some stranger. No spoilers: this is a must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written Romcom which is hilarious throughout and is a wonderful and entertaining read which had me in stiches. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all.
I absolutely loved this unique, refreshing, and hilarious rom-com! This slow-burn romance is the perfect blend of fun and witty banter, intriguing story-line, engaging characters, and hot sexual tension that leaps right off the page. When a quirky, chatty, media influencer, along with her nosy cat, moves into an exclusive apartment to produce her podcast and write her book, her sexy neighbor is not happy. He is a grumpy recluse who craves silence. He is irritated by her noisiness, but becomes intrigued by her sexy podcast topics, and barges in on the discussions. They are total opposites, but Grumpy neighbor likes that she challenges him, and she likes his perspective on her life choices. They are so hilarious as they give each other the business, all the while enjoying being themselves without apologies. One night she drunk texts a wrong number but ends up enjoying the banter with this intriguing, anonymous stranger. Their daily text messages have allowed them to form a bond that no one else has with them, well, except her Grumpy, sexy neighbor. Her relationship with her new found virtual friend w/out benefits is intoxicating, captivating, and confusing. If you think you’ve read this story before, trust me, you haven’t.
I absolutely loved this wonderful multi cast narration! These amazing voice actors, Jason Clarke, Brooke Bloomingdale, Aaron Shedlock, Pippa Jayne, Teddy Hamilton, and Virginia Rose, nailed their characters, making us feel all of their different emotions and brought them to life so beautifully. Their voices blended flawlessly, and their chemistry was palpable, making great aural magic.
This is a wonderfully refreshing, witty, steamy story that will have you laughing out loud and will capture your heart. I fell hard for these characters and so will you, I promise!
I really enjoyed this book, it was refreshing and funny!
A feel-good romcom fully of fun and wit!
Once again, Claudia Burgoa gives us a romance full of not only romantic love, but friendship, family and deep relationships that allow us to connect to the characters in a really meaningful way. The main characters and the sibling dynamics are so fun and entertaining, and really make the book an engaging read.
This is a wrong number love story, where our two main characters fall for each other via text before they meet each other. The conversations are deep, they open up to each other, and once they let go of what they think they need for what they really need, they have their happily ever after!
Wrong Text Right Love is exactly why Claudia Burgoa is my go to author for romantic comedies. And what a sweet read it is with such a fun and engaging storyline. This book brightened my day and made me feel so giddy inside. Although Ford and Persephone (aka Persy) start out as neighbors from hell, they have opposite personalities and I could definitely sense the strong connection between them. And their flirty and clever banter is very amusing. I love the push and pull aspect of their relationship and although these two can’t stand each other, they still can’t manage to stay away either.
Persy, a sex therapist and influencer has quite the colorful, outgoing and wonderful personality. Which naturally means she appealed to me immediately! She’s saucy, spunky and has an excellent way of putting Ford in his place. Ford is cranky, ornery and prefers to live in peace and quiet. With that said, I still considered him to be an appealing and sexy devil with many layers. Once those layers are peeled back, I found him to be good natured, charming and quite swoony. Both characters are cleverly developed and Claudia Burgoa writes this story in a such a way that will draw you in from the beginning and keep you entertained until the sweet end. Wrong Text Right Love consumed me and is a excellent page turner. It definitely holds a special place in heart and is a fantastic read.
Love and friendship are explored, with wonderful characters and so much humor! I especially loved the bad dating experiences. It is hard to say much without spoiling the surprises but this is definitely belongs on readers’ to be read lists.
I received an Advanced Readers Copy from the author and this is my honest review.
Wrong Text, Right Love is a funny, feel good love story. Persy is an author and social media influencer who rents an apartment next door to Ford/Chad. Chad is a very private man and doesn’t do relationships. He doesn’t trust anyone but his twin brother, Nate. Persy has had a few failed relationships, but is looking for someone to date for book research. One night after having a few drinks she accidentally sends a text to the wrong person. That text leads to a “texting relationship “ until the two people discover exactly who is behind the cell phone. I really enjoyed all characters involved. Persy’s family & Nate cracked me up. I hope they get their own stories one day. I think everyone who enjoys a fun, easy to read love story will enjoy Wrong Text, Right Love.
I love a grumpy hero and Ford is a reclusive grumpilious hero who just wants to be left alone. Along come Persy, a successful online influencer with a PhD in psychology providing relationship advise to other women with an emphasis on loving yourself first! These two clash from day one and I loved their snarky back and forth banter throughout the book. Wrong Text, Right Love is a funny, laugh out loud book with a delightful introspective discovering of self by both Persy and Ford.
Thanks to the author for the copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
I am always excited to see a new story by Claudia Burgoa!
This story is no exception! I love this story of Persy and Ford!
Persy is absolutely an amazing character. The life she has lived, the things she has seen and done is just wow. Her upbringing was as unorthodox as can be, but it made her the phenomenal person she is. Her career is everything to her, but there is a cost and that cost is what she struggles with the most.
Ford, the man with many names, he is all of those names and more. He is reclusive and a bit of a loner. He is a bit jaded about the world around him and when he meets Persy, well it’s like putting a match to gasoline. It’s hot, a bit scary but beautiful in its own right.
From podcasts to texts, to face to face interaction, you get all that in this story it was so fun to read! To see the different relationships develop was just swoony and heart-melting.
The humor was fantastic and subtle enough to really make it more believable! The secondary characters were absolutely fantastic and I hope to see more stories set in this world in the future!
She is a sex therapist and an influencer with a blog, a podcast, and a book deal. She is teaching people everywhere to swipe right, for themselves while she struggles inwardly with her own past relationships. Seeking a temporary change of scenery to get her focused on her book, she interrupts the peace and quiet of her new neighbor, so he interrupts her podcasts and becomes her cat’s favorite person. Late one night, a drunk text to the wrong number has her questioning everything and seeking more answers than ever before.
This slow burn romance is full of humor with a side of shenanigans, filled with flirty banter, an added healthy dose of mistrust, betrayal, and the self-actualization of a woman who isn’t afraid to stand up for herself. The drama and angst are kept to a minimum to keep this one light and fresh (which I think a lot of us could really use right now).
Wrong Text, Right Love is a fun, complete opposites, entertaining and steamy story. I liked how the story progressed, it wan’t rushed but slow burning. From the moment Ford (the grumpy neighbor) and Persy met they were drawn towards eachother, and their witty banter had me laughing out loud. I liked the secondary characters too. Secretly hoping we will get their stories as well, especially Ford twins. This was so enjoyable to read, and I’m looking forward to the next book from this author.
4 Amazing Grumpy Stars
I absolutely loved this book. Persy and Ford are almost complete opposites but like they opposites attract. She is an IG/Blogger/Influencer and he is a Billionaire Recluse. Both know what they want in their lives, but neither of them expecting to find it in each other. This book is very much of the nature of social media and people’s jobs these days and I loved that. The banter between these two is amazing, the sexting is on point, and Simon is the best book cat ever!! I love all the characters family members and I want them all to have books! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because to me there were still some unanswered questions I had at the end of book, like it wasn’t 100% completely wrapped up. Hopefully there will be more books in this series and we’ll get answers!!
Wrong text, Right Love is Claudia Burgoa’s latest fun and flirty romance that is alittle bit romcom and a lot of steamy tension that burns slowly for new neighbors- laid back Persy and the reclusive Chad, Ford or whatever he is calling himself at the moment. Let’s call him mystery man..also Mr. Hot, Grumpy and Annoying!
The anticipation was killing me, watching the fuse slowing burning between them and waiting, oh so patiently for the fireworks to finally ignite..boy did they ever! The way the storylines presented themselves were fun, different and entertaining with a few little secrets tucked in here and there to add additional spicy twists to the story.
‘Chad’and Persy’s lifestyles seemed destined to be on a collision course- this loud, colorful, free spirited woman next door and the annoyed man who wants to keep her quiet and at arms length no matter what. It’s a combo that’ll keep you guessing and wondering what in the world is going to happen next!
Sometimes, someone you could never imagine being with turns out to be the only one you can see, even if you’ve been in denial and blinded yourself to the possibilities. As a reader, it’s fun to watch the dawning of that realization while the story unfolds and reveals all of its surprises!
Claudia Burgoa has taken a break from her latest series to give us a witty, dual POV standalone with a quirky couple who needed their story told right now and I’m so glad she did. Wrong Text, Right Love turned out to be the perfect bright spot in my boring, rainy day!
I received an early copy of this book and this is my honest review after reading it.
If you are looking for a cute laugh out loud read then look no further then Wrong Text, Right Love. You will love grumpy neighbor aka Chad/Ford. Ford is so focused and you understand why once you get to know him. I love Persy and her way of being open. The banter between Persy and Chad/Ford will have you giggling. You will even love the banter between Joy and Lance (Persy’s drunk wrong number texting at it’s finest). I couldn’t get enough of this read. I love how Ford helps Persy and sees her real side. I loved this one so much.
5 Textual stars.
Wrong Text, Right Love by Claudia Burgoa is a sweet, broodingly fun story about a social influencer and a nerdy, hot, and extremely grumpy tech guru. It’s sure to be at the top of my summer’s hot list of reads. Not for once for its steaminess-(warning, this is a very slow-burning love story but in a very, very good way) but for every other way.
Persy(AKA-Persephone) is just trying to get her life back on track after her boyfriend of four years dumps her. She moves in next door to the sexiest, but grumpiest man she’s ever met.
Ford lives alone. The apartment next door is only meant for his twin but when said twin allows it to be rented out, he comes face to face with Persy.
Clash of the opposites is how this first ‘meet-cute’ goes. Battle lines are drawn, but secretly, they are fighting their attraction to each other.
Watching these two find their way together was fun, but not without a few head shakes. Still, it was a fun, easy read with little angst. The secondary characters were just as interesting as Persy and Ford. I’m looking forward to more from this series.
After seeing how deep her stories can get, it’s nice to see the lighter side of Claudia Burgoa. Wrong Text, Right Love puts humor on full display while never losing the heart that Burgoa is known for. I needed a good laugh and Percy and Chad delivered that and so much more.
Ladies grab yourself a drink, slather on some sunscreen and last but not least, feast your eyes on this summers must read poolside rom-com. Get ready to laugh out loud at some of the most hilarious banter, a sassy, loud heroine and a broody, sexy recluse who only wants peace and quite. But sometimes what we want is not what we need and sometimes it comes in the most interesting of forms.
How do you keep giving the perfect advice to complete strangers but your own (love)life seems to be going off track. She keeps giving her all to her followers but she really needs something for herself, something real and maybe she needs to ask her ex what really went wrong but sometimes mixing up a digit can lead to much more than she bargained for.
He just wants his peace and quite back but it’s hard to do when the new girl next door can’t keep it down and her cat has decided to adopt him and his penthouse. He can’t help offer his advice especially when he sees how mistaken she is about herself and then he gets the strange middle of the night text and now he’s got two new women in his life and he wasn’t even looking for one.
Sometimes you must look within yourself to understand that life as you know it does not have to stay that way. Sometimes the thing you don’t know you need happens when you think you’re living.
This book was an absolute delight and a breath of fresh air!!!
This is another fantastic read from a gifted and talented lady! It’s cute, clever and charming, with all the sentiment and emotion we love to find in our romances.
Persy Brassard isn’t your average social media influencer. She’s a professional psychologist with accidental viral success when her sister recorded a video of Persy reenacting Meg Ryan’s famous scene from the classic romantic comedy film. Now her millions of followers turn to her for advice on all things dating and romance.
Ford Chadwick is a self-made man who had to escape the clutches of the media and the public in order to find any peace of mind. The downside is he’s gotten used to the peace and quiet of his penthouse. When the effervescent, not-quiet Persy moves in next door, Ford isn’t so peaceful anymore and his grumpy side is on full display. As much as he’d love to wring her neck, his inconvenient obsession, er attraction to Persy really messes with his mind.
OMGee, I adore these two together!! Their sniping, snarling and banter is the best kind of entertainment and they won me over from the start. This was a really quick read for me because I hung on every word and the book practically read itself. This one takes all the original formats – texts, emails and podcasts – and wraps them together in a delightfully enchanting storyline.
I don’t know how she does it, time and again delivering an engaging, captivating, heartfelt read, but this is one masterful indie publisher I trust completely with my romantic heart. She makes me fall in love, she makes me laugh and cry, and she always leaves me sad to say goodbye to her characters but with a contented, happy sigh in my heart. Ford and Persy’s story is the best of enemies to lovers and slow burn romance, and you definitely don’t want to miss it. Get your copy so you can fall in love with this grumpy, loveable hero and his perky, brilliant heroine today!
Omg I loved loved this book!!! I swear it needs to be made into a movie. It will be a reread for me! Wrong Text, Right Love is quirky, romantic and insightful. Along with an incredible story I found the characters to be uplifting. The end had me balling like a baby. This book is one of my favorites! Absolutely brilliant!
Wrong Text, Right Love is an entertaining, lighthearted read!
It has the social influencer Percy, who with her podcast has a challenge ahead of her in finding love!!
When she needs to escape for the time being, she finds herself living next door to the grumpy neighbor! Needless to say the adventure is on with them both! Shes loud, vibrant and mouthy! Hes quiet, nerdy and secretive!
Can these two settle their differences and get along? What happens one fateful night of alcohol imbibing when Percy texts an ex, inadvertently makes a connection with a Stranger! Who will she choose and who can she trust? Absolutely loved everything about this story! It was a quirky, fun read and the innuendos added to the storyline! Can Percy and her neighbor find what they are looking for? So well worth reading!
