Mistaken identity, drunk texts, and hysterical mishaps… just another day in my life.Girls all over the world spill the tea to me about their most intimate questions. They thank me for talking about sex with them. For fixing their love lives.I wonder if I’d still be a relationship influencer if they knew what a train wreck my own love life is?If I was writing anyone else advice, it would say things … writing anyone else advice, it would say things like:
Never drunk-text your ex-boyfriend.
No, seriously, that’s a terrible idea.
But if you insist, maybe double-check the number first.
Oops.
But I guess I give good…text, because the stranger I messaged wrote back.
And I responded.
He doesn’t have to put up with my colorful personality—as my hot next-door neighbor describes me. Or my messy schedule.
This relationship is as seemingly perfect as my online persona.
Until we agree to meet up.
When he meets the real me, will he hate me forever?
Or will we be one day telling our grandkids about that wrong text, right love?

Once again, Claudia give us a fun flirty, laugh out loud book! Wrong Text, Right Love is her latest book. Persephone Persey for short, Brassard is a social media darling. She’s a professional Psychologist who becomes famous after being taped by her sister imitating Meg Ryan’s famous climax scene. She’s also a best selling author. Her many followers depend on her to help them with relationship advice. They love her because no subject is taboo., so her podcasts get pretty racy. She has a couple of problems, she has to impress a new team at her publisher, and she needs someplace to live while writing the new book. And she just broke up with her boyfriend. She has a hard time with relationships because of job. Her agent and good friend Susan, finds her an apartment. What she fails to tell her is that the apartment is in a building that is owned by her step-brother, Ford Chadwick.
Ford is a bit of a recluse. He’s quiet, likes his solitude, and he’s insanely good looking. He’s also very rich after inventing a popular app while in college. Ford has a twin brother, Nate who runs their business and is the face of their company, while Ford is the developer. Needless to to say, he was not expecting her. They could not be more opposite! Persy is colorful, talkative and always moving. She drives For crazy. She calls Ford “The Grump”. They are so funny the way they snipe at each other. They slowly develop a grudging friendship, because Persy won’t let up! One night while out with her sister Nyx, after having too much to drink, she drunk texts her old boyfriend , Ian. on her second cell phone (long story) only she doesn’t get her old boyfriend, she gets a guy named Lang. When she finds out it isn’t Ian, Lang asks what her name is . She tells him it’s Joy, which is actually one of her names. As Joy and Lang, they continue to text each other. They have fun, they flirt, they really start get attached to each other. In these texts, they can be themselves. They don’t know each other, so they can be truthful. This book is a fun SLOW burn, opposites attract, back and forth between two people who find it hard to trust, and are afraid to follow their feelings. I highly recommend it. As usual Claudia’s books are full of colorful characters you will love! don’t miss this book!
This is a new author to me, this book is a great, fast-paced, easy to read rom-com, that has you laughing at the banter…I’m so looking forward to Nyx’s escapades.
The characters are loveable, well most of them.
Dual POV, great for getting in their heads
SOME SPOILERS
Persy’s down on her luck in her love life, living her life through her book writing and social media. She just want to find her HEA. She loves her job unfortunately her new neighbour isn’t such a fan of her talking to herself or the only male in her life that don’t backchat, Simon…her cat.
His mission seems to be making her life a nightmare. Luckily she she accidentally texted the wrong guy instead of her ex, at least wrong number guy gets her.
Ford likes to live under a rock, he smart beyond his years, but not many people know that, relationships are a no-no, and love is a myth, until it’s not. His new neighbour is annoying, loud, sassy, and annoyingly beautiful. But he’s at an odds in his life when he gets a new text friend, he can be his true self and she seems to be a great listener with great advice.
When all the truths are revealed will either of them get an HEA?
Or will the trust be put into the wrong people and do more damage than good?
I just loved this new Claudia Burgoa story. It’s fun and light to read. This is the story that we needed to read in this pandemic moment.
Ford and Persy are incredible characters. Both have trust issues, but while Persy opens up to new possibilities, Ford is a grumpy guy.
I really loved this story and the characters, I had a lot of fun reading it. I’m already looking forward to the next book in this series. I highly recommend the reading.
Another great story from Claudia Burgoa. A slow burn romance, full of laughs and amusing moments between the main characters. Definitely a must read!
When I first started this book I was immediately caught up in the fun and flirty connection between two people full of doubts when it comes to love and commitment. I was immediately caught up in their witty banter, their unforgettable early exchanges, and their slow burn in discovering where true love lies. Not only is romantic love dealt with but so too is that of family and in the talented hands of Ms. Burgos it’s a delightful tale. From the first page to the last this story put a smile on my face, and a warmth to my heart, and I still get a chuckle or two when I think of it.
Ford Chadwick is a larger than life hero, a sexy yet brooding man who’s views on love and relationships have him getting thrown out of a bedroom at the start of this story. Seeing his parent’s marriage implode as a child has him keeping far away from love and commitment as an adult. For him, he just wants the honesty of sex and nothing more, but when he gets an unexpected text it will forever change his views on matters of the heart. What starts out as a mistakenly sent text soon becomes a humorous back and forth between two guarded people who slowly reveal more and more about themselves under the guise of anonymity. Add in an intriguing new neighbor next door and the sparks practically leap off the page as the push/pull between them slowly builds into a bonfire. Ford’s a bit of a jerk early on as someone who prefers being left alone, someone who barely tolerates his step-siblings, and someone who lives his life for himself. As the story progresses though readers get to see a more caring side, an endearing side that had me aching over his trust issues and cheering him on to open his heart to the possibilities. Opening his heart to romance also has him dealing more fully with his family in a secondary storyline that was satisfying and endeared him to me too.
Persephone “Persy” Brassard’s a strong-willed heroine, a social media influencer who seems to have a perfect life as she travels the world while living life to the fullest. She’s bold, sassy, and good at helping others find their inner happiness. Behind the larger than life image the world sees though is a woman recently left bruised by a break-up. Two years of dating the same man put thoughts of love and marriage in her head, but instead she was left with a broken heart and a blow to her self-esteem as he disparaged her career on his way out the door. To save that career, a career that has her addressing the issue of love both in a relationship and of yourself, Persy ends up in a complex juggling of the heart between the grumpy neighbor next door and the intriguing man who she’s been texting. Through each text, through all the funny banter, she reawakens her belief in herself and finds a true HEA from someone who looks to be her exact opposite…but who couldn’t be more perfect for her.
This was a charming, heartwarming, and funny tale of romance between strangers, romance between friends, and love for family. It’s a beautiful balancing act that Ms. Burgoa undertakes here and it kept me glued to the pages, reading non-stop, and then wanting to go back and read it all over again. The main couple is crackling in all of their scenes together, giving off heat that I was desperately waiting to see finally culminate. The secondary characters were well-fleshed out too and helped readers discover other sides to the main couple and left me wanting to see more of them in the future. From its clever banter, to its delightful main couple, to heartwarming depictions of love and HEA, this romance was wholeheartedly entertaining and I recommend it to all those wanting a fun and flirty story full of heart and soul!
I this book so much! I can always count on Claudia to give me all the feels! The storyline and characters are so well written that you can’t help but be sucked in from page one. I loved Persy and her outlook on life. Ford is anti-relationship/anti-love but then Persy comes crashing into his world and turns it upside down. I love their deep conversations on relationships and being happy and true to yourself. They are truly made for each other and deserve their HEA.
Wrong Text, Right Love is a sweet and funny read about two lonely people, thrown together by chance, who discover that sometimes the most unexpected of circumstances, and wrong numbers, can lead to the best things in life.
Persy lives her life in the spotlight. As a sex therapist/self-help social media personality, she is always ON. Almost nothing in her life is off limits, and she is finding it difficult to stay true to who she is. Most people underestimate her, choosing to only see the fun, free spirited persona – never taking the time to get to know the person behind the screen.
“Chad” is the neighbor from hell. He is a tech savvy, brilliant, grumpy recluse who just wants to be left alone. Struggling with trust issues, he chooses to live his life in hiding and doesn’t have time for Persy’s larger than life personality.
From their daily lives to their stance on love, these two have little in common. They spend most of their time bickering or trying to ignore the other. Honestly, these two are hysterical and perfect for each other.
I love that the book sheds some light on the life of a social media influencer/public persona and what goes on behind the scenes. The push to always present a perfect image. The struggle to stay true to one’s brand, morales, and values. The trust issues. I can’t imagine that type of pressure.
At its core, WTRL is a lighthearted, low-angst, super slow burn read filled with flirty, witty banter, quirky characters, and humor. Another must read!
What a delightfully charming book that left my heart so full. Ford describes himself perfect as the reclusive billionaire. Persy is the spring of color to his ,ice he didn’t know what was missing. During their banter turned friendship i felt so many emotions straight into my bones and tears on my eyes at points from both happy and sad.
This book represents everything to me love should strive to be and yes I know it is fiction.
This was an interesting story and the book definitely had some cute parts. I did love the friendship/relationship they cultivated over text message, but also how they almost reluctantly had an in person friendship. One thing that did bother me was the multiple names for the H. Sometimes I felt like…wtf IS his actual name? It was a little hard to follow to make sure I got who was speaking or being talked about.
Firstly this is definitely a slow burn but it works perfectly due to the setting of Persephone (Persy) and Chad (Ford) aka Grumpy neighbor and how their relationship starts. The support characters are great ie Persy’s sister Nyx, her parents and Fords brother Nate, while there are others you loath ie Shelia and some you are on the fence about ie Clyde and Callie. There are plenty of laughs, frustrations, betrayal, sexy talk and a journey of self discovery and love!! I can not wait to read more in this series!!!!
I loved the email battler with friends, texts with hero and just the whole idea of who Persy is and what she does for a living. While this is a romance fiction, there was a lot of awesome advice going on in the pages of this book. Ford may have been a little cold at the start but I loved him. He didn’t flout about being rich, once he made up his mind he didn’t panic when it came to thinking about love. He had trust issues but I didn’t blame him for that.
I loved the secondary characters and all of Persy’s family. I really hope the author writes books for them and Nate. I want them all to get HEA’s and see more of Persys family. They were quirky and I couldn’t help but giggle when it came to them. They are the type of family that some people don’t get but always wish for.
This was a great escape and I was sad when it needed. These two main characters were adorable even when they didn’t like each other and I was drawn to that. I love that they both accepted each other and built a reluctant at the start friend ship that grew into more. It wasn’t instalove, but also wasn’t a super slow burn. It is clean for the most part. Only one sex scene but I found that that didn’t bug me. Overall it was very enjoyable. I look forward to seeing if the author writes more in this world and maybe seeing more from these characters. 4 stars #2OCCJD
This was a fun, light rom-com read and it’s perfect for summer! There were many laugh out moments, witty banter (which I love), and heartfelt moments. It’s definitely a slow burn romance and it’s not as angsty as her other books but it’s a feel-good story that I believe anyone will love.
“Wrong Text, Right Love is a must read!! It had been quite a lot time since I read a rom-com book and it was such a great read. Once again Claudia wrote a mind-blowing story with a fantastic plot. She had a thing with words, her writing skills are something amazing. She’s a really talent author! What a wonderful and lovely slow burn romance. Each character personality was charming and joyful. The story itself was hilarious with all the feels. I don’t want to give you any spoiler of the story but trust me you will devour this book.”
Claudia Burgoa has written some terrific characters, but the many colorful characters in Wrong Text, Right Love take the prize. This one is packed full of great characters and a couple you can’t help but love. The romance is a very slow burn, but it’s really more about the journey. And what a journey it is. Ford and Persy are hilarious whether they’re squaring off and trading barbs or finding a truce they can both live with or realizing that they might have something more.
Then you have Persy’s completely crazy family, not that she’s the stable one either, plus the text messages going back and forth between – well, between everyone. There is a flirtation via text, but there’s also a lot of texting and emailing back and forth between everyone, and all of it just adds to the charm of this book. And make no mistake, this is one completely charming story that’s a wonderful mix of enemies to friends to lovers, secret lovers, and even a bit of forced proximity.
In a world that’s gone crazy, we could all use a bit of laughter, and this RomCom is chock full of laughs and fun, and a romance you just can’t help but root for.
Wrong Text, Right Love is the perfect reading if y ou are looking for a sweet light romcom. This is the story of Percy and Chad two persons that are so different but at the same time they fit perfectly together. But let me tell you that nothing is easy between them when they first meet. Percy personality is not one that Chad really appreciate it, but then things happens and they start having a good neighbors relationship, and then the whole text situation happens. I dont want to tell you so much about the plot so you can enjoy it when you read it.
But let me tell you that this story is a really great reading that you will enjoy since the first page, you will laugh so much and the text are so fun. That i am sure you will have a good time reading it.
This book was SO good! I confess I wasn’t sure how much I’d love it to begin with, since the initial description sounded a lot like another book I loved. Text sent to the wrong number turns into more. But I should have known better. Both authors are among my favorites and both have very different styles. The stories aren’t remotely similar.
Persy (Persephone) lives in the public eye. She is a certified therapist who also has a strong social media side to her career, a popular podcast, and a multibook deal. She moves in next door to Chad, stepbrother of her agent and oldest friend’s husband. They clash like oil and water – he is cold and likes things a certain way, she is loud and colorful. She is very close with her large family, he tolerates his small one. They slowly strike up a friendship and she sees the side he tries to hide behind his cold, mistrusting demeanor. He gets to know the real her she doesn’t show on camera. Then there is the text friendship. Persy relishes being able to get to know someone without that person knowing her public persona. As her relationships with both men grow, she has to make a choice – fantasy guy who seems perfect for her, or reality next door who is adamantly against relationships?
I loved the characters in this book. Persy’s family is fantastic (except for Callie, but I have hopes for her. She’s a true product of her upbringing). Chad/Ford is the perfect growly guy with the hidden heart of gold. The bad dates were hilarious. And the ending? Swoonworthy.
What an angsty? Slow burn, hilarious and wonderful book.
I loved it.
Persy is such a funny and powerful woman. I loved her so much.
Ford is so grumpy but funny and loving there is no way to not fall for him. He’s up top on my favorite Claudia heroes next to Alex .
I loved the way it was written. The text exchanges everything. Wonderful read and I’ll be recommending it!
Ford likes his peace & solitude. When loud & outgoing Percy moves in next door, he doesn’t know what to make of her. He’s irritated to be near her presence but is intrigued & can’t seem to stay away. When an accidental text comes through, thoughts and words are exchanged and soon they are both looking forward to the next text…not knowing who they are truly texting.
This was a cute story about a grumpy, introverted man who likes his quiet but has no choice but to be surrounded by all that is Percy – loud, joyous, and unexpected. Do opposites really attract? Another great read by this author!
This is a fun story about how opposites do attract. Persy is trying to move on from a long relationship when she rents an apartment next door to Ford. He’s a very grumpy man and not very happy that his twin rented out his apartment to her. These two clash so much, yet their chemistry just keeps getting stronger. The banter between them was hilarious. Loved it.
Him and Her.
Him, perpetual hookup guy, no love, sex only.
Not so introverted if he’s been hooking up no strings since high school.
Her: sex positive (this is great) her job is let’s talk about sex. Only her booty text to her ex goes awry.
So, it’s sexting for him and her. But are they closer than they think?
What I liked?
The dualality of their lives online and offline. It’s a touch of sliding doors.
The construct is of parallel lives and soul mates and it works for Persy and Ford. Anyone who can pull off Persephone as a lead’s name has my approval.
Recommend.
