Mistaken identity, drunk texts, and hysterical mishaps… just another day in my life.Girls all over the world spill the tea to me about their most intimate questions. They thank me for talking about sex with them. For fixing their love lives.I wonder if I’d still be a relationship influencer if they knew what a train wreck my own love life is?If I was writing anyone else advice, it would say things … writing anyone else advice, it would say things like:
Never drunk-text your ex-boyfriend.
No, seriously, that’s a terrible idea.
But if you insist, maybe double-check the number first.
Oops.
But I guess I give good…text, because the stranger I messaged wrote back.
And I responded.
He doesn’t have to put up with my colorful personality—as my hot next-door neighbor describes me. Or my messy schedule.
This relationship is as seemingly perfect as my online persona.
Until we agree to meet up.
When he meets the real me, will he hate me forever?
Or will we be one day telling our grandkids about that wrong text, right love?

Claudia Burgoa has delivered another amazing book with Wrong Text, Right Love. It had me laughing out loud and loving all the characters. This quick read had me in a perma-smile and left me feeling the hashtag #happyisu. Wrong Text, Right Love has very little angst which made it such a refreshing, light, feel good read that I could not put down. I recommend this rom-com to all that is looking to be captivated by humour, banter and fun characters.
Acceptance, it is hard to accept other for who they are. The hardest thing is to accept yourself for who you are and make yourself happy. Easy is finding some one to balance and tell you what to do. Hard to do when you are blinded by the questions of why?
Happiness should come from within and this book from one of my favorite authors shows us that even the smartest and most successful of people have doubts and have a hard time finding the happiness with in. For Ford and Persy, being forced to live next to one another and forced some of the funniest and interesting interactions I have read in a book. Something as simple as listening to the other and really seeing them with out all the glamour showed them the truth and what matters. Lang and Joy had the anonymity of a phone to show them what an honest yet blind relationship would look like. Perfect, right!
So these people find their one with honesty and shields up. A really romantic couple that are going to grow in our hearts while they teach us to be happy with ourselves first.
Claudia Burgoa just keeps hitting them out of the park!
5* Grumpy Neighbour Stars
This was such a fun and sexy read and from the first page I was captured with the story of Persy and Chad.
Persy also known as Persephone is such a breath of fresh air. She has many job titles and one of them is writing her own blog and podcast as an influencer. She discusses everything from dating, relationships with your cat and loved ones to the latest sex toys available on the market. Her motto in life is to always make it fun! She comes across as being so positive as she brings so much joy into people’s lives but deep down, she is looking for her happy ever after as she has been let down so many times. When Persy moves into her new Penthouse apartment she meets her new neighbour Chad who is super-hot but unfortunately as Grumpy as hell. He is everything she is not looking for in a man because he has never been in love or wants to fall in love and Persy is the total opposite as she is chasing her HEA.
It was fun and adorable to see Persy break down his walls just by being who she is quirky and real and the dialogue between them was hilarious.
I thoroughly enjoyed this slow burn good feel romance. Thank you, Claudia, for bring us such a fun and happy story.
I had a great time reading this fun rom-com. Initially, I doubted that I would be hooked as I wasn’t keen on reading about an influencer. But Persy is much more than that, and as I got to know her, I became attached. I liked the slow pace of the attraction between the two protagonists.
3 and a half stars
this started off a bit slow for me but then picked up. it definitely gets better as it goes. I liked both characters, and most of the side characters, but the build-up is a bit slow, and the writing, though good, sometimes isn’t as captivating as others. A very solid read for the most part though but the humor of this romcom comes a bit later than expected.
This was my first book by this author, and I really enjoyed it. It had all the things I love in a book – humor, romance, and deep feels. It was so much fun watching Persy get under Ford’s skin and burrow her way through his grumpy exterior.
This book mimicked the movie “You’ve got mail”. Decent character development. Good book for a rainy day.
It all started with a drunken text… to the wrong number.
Persephone was a successful, yet broke, lifestyle and sex influencer. Her entire ‘image’ was based on the premise that we control and create our own happiness.
Ford was a successful, yet reclusive, programmer/inventor/entrepreneur? Due to his parents’ acrimonious divorce, he grew up to have a very jaded perspective of love and relationships.
Together, these two were like oil and water. She believes in happily ever afters and soulmates. He believes in limited connections, small circles of trust, and reality. Yet, the more they’re around each other, the more they’re able to relate. The more time spent together, the more they start to be in sync. Suddenly, the wacky and colorful girl next door with unreasonable ideas about love is the most appealing person Ford has ever seen. And since Persy has been attracted to him from the moment she saw him, them being together should be a no-brainer.
But Persy’s seriously falling for drunken text guy. The guy she’s able to be herself with. The guy who seems to really see her. Who should she choose?
My only real issue with this story, why it didn’t get five stars from me (because it was a really great story), is because Persy sometimes rubbed me the wrong way. She preached way too much for my liking. What works for you is all well and good, but please don’t push your ideology onto someone else. Don’t say that people are perfect the way they are, that we shouldn’t try to change each other, while steady trying to change people. Hypocrites don’t get my vote.
Lots has been said about this book being similar to You’ve Got Mail, and they are right. Who doesn’t want a sexy, grumpy, Tom Hanks type to banter and angry flirt with? All things are not as they seem as Percy is trying to get her life together and keep her brand going.
Early on she discovers a valuable person in her life is not what she seems. My heart hurt for her to see her deal with the anger of betrayal that has happened to most of us at one point if we’ve lived long enough. Strangely, the least likely person to support her is her grumpy next-door neighbor who she’s been warned to keep her distance from.
It was refreshing to see these two get to know each other with and without the filters. As Simon, the cat sashays through each MC’s adjoining apartment, showing he clearly owns the whole place. It’s obvious he knows there will be a happily ever after. I loved it.
Once again, Ms Burgoa delivers on a smart, funny, entertaining story with a side of snark. Wrong Text, Right Love is perfect for a short weekend read or, in my case, a full week-between work-end of school read. This one has shades of “You’ve Got Mail,” so if you enjoyed that as much as I did, you’ll love Wrong Text, Right Love.
Both Ford and Percy are recluses, although Percy is an outgoing one who loves to be around people. Most of the time. Well, OK, mainly her family. Both hide from the world in different ways, but their reasons are similar. Neither knows the other one, but both think that there’s a strong possibility the other does know and that’s the reason they want to get to know them better. I hope that made sense, reread it and I’m sure you’ll get it.
Wrong Text, Right Love is the perfect rom-com to lift your spirits and give you a fresh outlook. So go ahead download it, swipe right (or is that left?), and get to it!
What a fun read. I would read other books by this author.
I’m all about Opposites Attract tropes, and this one was so much fun to read.
Persy the social media influencer meets the grumpy neighbor who happens to be a recluse Billionaire, Ford. While Ford is all about peace and quite so he can get his work done, he’s in for a rude awakening when he discovers his new neighbor is a non stop talker.
I loved these characters… Persy and all her quirks, Ford and his gruff demeanor they are absolutely perfect for each other. And definitely five star worthy!
Phenomenal
Too much texted conversation!!!!
I really enjoyed Wrong Text, Right Love. The format took some getting used to but after a section or two, I was all in, devouring this story as quickly as my workload would allow.
Persy and Grumpy Neighbor and more alike than they know, both of them hiding pieces of themselves from the world, though for different reasons. I loved the flirty conversations, seeing things from both POVs and the way the story played out. One of the best stories I’ve read in a while.
I loved this book!
I couldn’t stop reading it.
This was a cute story that was a good length. Didn’t go on forever and had a nice happy ending. A little steamy but not excessive detailed sex.
A fun read and a sweet romance
Just not my cup of tea
