Gypsy Bradbury was never destined for great things. Or at least that’s what she’d convinced herself of. Growing up on the wrong side of the tracks, she had learned that hoping for more was a waste of time. Then Marco forced his way into her life and gave her a glimpse of a future brighter than any she could have imagined. But if her past taught her anything, it was that if something seemed too … good to be true… it probably was.
The promise of a quiet, simple life was what drew Marco Castillo to Hope Valley. After experiencing war and death first hand, he was looking for something easy. Then he met a woman with guarded eyes and the most beautiful smile he’d ever seen. The only problem was she came with more baggage than a 747.
There is nothing easy about Gypsy, but Marco knows without a doubt that the promise of her is well worth the effort. She’s the strongest, bravest woman he’s ever met, and when the life she’s fought to build for her and her family is threatened, Marco is determined to win that battle for her. Whether Gypsy wants his help or not.

If you love a possessive and bossy and down right sexy hero, Marco and Gypsy’s story is for you! Get ready to swoon!
ESSICA PRINCE GETS AN ALL STAR FIVE STUNNING, HEART-MELTING, HAS ALL THE FEELS STARS! Wrong Side Of The Tracks is so much better than you can possibly understand with a fantastic storyline and an epic romantic and suspenseful plot that had me falling in love in under an hour with Marco and Gypsy’s story.
Gypsy and Marco’s romance is so good and special and heart stopping! This story is filling, romantic, sweet, suspenseful and perfect! I ADORED Gypsy and the way she is pretty much a mother to her siblings and works HARD to provide and care for them. And Marco, oh he is the most heart stopping hero ever! Protective, teasing, caring, handsome and determined to prove to Gypsy that he wants her and will be there for her. It is AMAZING peeps! Just amazing.
Wrong Side Of The Tracks gets a HEART STOPPING FIVE ROMANTIC STARS!
Gypsy Bradbury knew growing up in a trailer, raising her 5 siblings and working 2 jobs, made her unwanted by anyone worth having. She did what needed to be done to raise her brothers and sisters, even if that meant taking a job at a stip club to feed them. She will just crush on Marco from afar, because a man like that would never fall for her.
Marco Castillo was a man without a home. His parents made it known that he was not wanted. The Army was the only place he felt like he belonged. Once he left we worked for a friend, but he didn’t belong there either. So Marco moved and went to work for Lincoln at his security company. Finally he was fitting in somewhere. Then he saw Gypsy, and he was drawn to her sunny smile and warmth of her love for her family and friends. Marco was determined to make her his!
Oh I fell HARD for Marco. The way that he showed Gypsy that she was worth everything! WOW. He didn’t tell her he liked her, he showed her in everything he did. He took care of her by being there for her, keeping her safe, and helping her care for her brothers and sisters. He broke down that wall that she put up to protect her heart from being broken. He loved her loyalty, selflessness and love for her family. And he fought hard to show her that she was worth all the goodness he can give her and her family. He loved her brothers and sisters like they were his own.
I can’t say this enough, Jessica Prince, you make your stories feel real. You make us feel all the feelings that the characters feel. You make us laugh, cry and root for them. Can’t wait for the next book!
I have wanted Gypsy’s story since first reading Out of My League (the first book in the Hope Valley series). A young woman doing whatever she can to raise and support her younger siblings? Yes, please! And then there’s Marco… who didn’t have a great childhood, but wanted nothing more than to make himself better. and when these two come together- they’re perfect for each other.
I absolutely loved how Gypsy supported her brothers and sisters! She was as much a mother to them as she was a sister. And then Marco barged in and fell in love with not only Gypsy, but all of the kids.
I have loved this series, and I can’t wait for more!
Hope Valley Series just keeps getting better and better with each book!!
Gypsy has been working two jobs to take care of her “kids”. As long as they are happy and have what they need that is all she cares about.
Marco is a hot, alpha that never thought he would find love until he laid eyes on Gypsy. He will do anything to show the strong-headed women that he is not going anywhere and is here to help take some of the burden off her shoulders.
Will Gypsy allow Marco to help? Will she survive that trouble that has her in his sights?
I have been in love with Marco FOREVER! I feel like we have been waiting for his book for eons! I have been in love with Gypsy since my first trip to Hope Valley – and I was just as excited about her book =)
Jessica Prince is a go-to author for a while and it’s because of books like this one! FIVE STARS!!
Wrong Side of the Tracks by Jessica Prince is the fourth amazing book in her Hope Valley series. This entire series so far has been small town awesome with serious story lines, steamy romances and the best happily ever afters! Gypsy and Marco’s story is just off-the-charts sensational and swoonworthy!
Gypsy is a hard working woman who stepped up at a young age to care for her siblings when her parents were too crappy to do so themselves. Dropping out of high school at 17, working as a grocery store clerk by day and a stripper by night she will do everything in her power to ensure her brothers and sisters never have to go through the things she has had to go through.
Marco is the man that sees Gypsy and doesn’t try to swoop in to be the hero, but wants to do everything he can to appreciate her and care for her the way she has done for others for her whole life. Typically stoic and burly, Marco has a much softer side when it comes to Gypsy and her family.
I absolutely adored this story and I cannot wait (like I’m on tenterhooks here) for the next books in this series. Enjoy!

Gypsy Bradbury has her hands full working two jobs and raising her 5 siblings with help from her next door neighbor Odette. During the day Gypsy works at a grocery store and at night she dances at Pink Palace as a stripper and one of the main attractions. She has vowed not to get into another relationship after the past few have gone horribly wrong and she knows she must concentrate on working hard so her siblings can make something of themselves and escape the life they are in.
Marco Castillo has been attracted to Gypsy for a long time and when he learns that the Pink Palace has changed ownership he volunteers to go undercover for his job with Alpha Omega. Marco has had his own hardships in life but has managed to overcome them and finally get on the right track. But now all he has to do is convince Gypsy that he is the right guy for her.
As Marco slowly tries to win over Gypsy will she allow him to help her out and will her siblings like the new presence in her life? When things get tough for Gypsy will she push Marco away and try and handle everything on her own or will she accept that she needs help?
This was such a great book and I really enjoyed it from start to finish!
I loved Gypsy as she was determined to succeed on her own with raising her siblings successfully pretty much on her own except for Odette who was always there to watch the kids when Gypsy worked. She definitely did not have an easy go of things but she really did the best she could and I admired her for that.
Marco was such an awesome character and I truly loved him from start to finish. He always kept his word and did whatever her could to help Gypsy and he didn’t back down at the beginning when she was pushing him away. I also loved how he jumped right in with helping Gypsy with her siblings. They all formed such a great bond with Marco although Rhodes was definitely worried about Gypsy pushing Marco away.
At the beginning you could see how Gypsy was hesitant with Marco but he almost forced his way into her life and he really made things easier for her and you could tell how much he cared. Yet at a certain moment everything changed and an event gave Gypsy the ability to push Marco away not realizing the effect it had on everyone else. I was proud of Marco for the things he continued to do and I was definitely mad at Gypsy for pushing him away.
At a certain point I was so proud of Gypsy for realizing she needed help and with what happened I was so glad that she got help! Yet things take a different turn after this and some of it was good and some definitely not very good!
The end was so awesome and I really want more of this series as this was the first one I read and now I need to go back and read the others! – By Rebecca
I have been waiting for Gyspy’s story for awhile and I have to say the wait was definitely worth it! After learning more and more about Gypsy in the previous books, I really wanted her to get her HEA. If anyone deserved one, it was Gypsy. She was so young when she took on the role of a parent to her 5 younger siblings, but she did it with no complaints. The determination and love she has for her siblings was truly inspiring. So it was really heartbreaking to read how unworthy she felt, but then to see someone like Marco, a natural born protector fall for her was awesome. He saw the beauty of her and her worthiness from the very beginning, but he had a fight on his hands. Gypsy refuses to ask for help, even from her friends, but Marco is determined and he fights his way in. And he was just wonderful with all the kids!! He doesn’t just fall in love with Gypsy but all the kids too and this just made me love him even more.
There were definitely ups and downs in their relationship, and the little bit of danger added in made their story so much more fantastic. Watching Marco get all alpha over Gypsy and her safety was definitely swoony.
I absolutely love everything about this book, and I adore everyone in the small town of Hope Valley. I can not wait for the next story from this amazing town.
A new small-town romance from Jessica Prince!
New small-town romance with all the feels!
I mean I’m still processing! This story was absolutely everything! Marco and Gypsy were magic! I could not put this book down! This story has everything- romance, angst, crime, steaminess, etc.
It was jam packed with all the emotions! It’s like with each Hope Valley book I keep saying it’s my new favorite and Wrong Side of The Tracks is no exception! Such an emotional roller coaster but so worth all the “feelers.”
Great small-town romance!
New small-town romance with all the feels!
The moment that Gypsy was introduced in the first books, I knew her story was going to be a tear jerking one. This 6 star story went above and beyond my already height expectations.
Gypsy is struggling to hold it all together. Her family comes first and she will do anything for them. Accepting help is very difficult for her, Marco is pushing is way trough her tough exterior. He’s up to the challenge because it will not be easy to win her.
This is a romantic suspense story. It’s a storyline that sucked me deep and held me there by capturing my undivided attention. The characters latch themselves to my heart, mind, body and soul. Once I started, I had to see it through in a matter of a few short hours. I got lost in the amazing writing of this talented author. Bottomline this is summer 2019 must read.
This is the 4th story in Hope Valley Series, but I think it can be read as a standalone. But for better enjoyment read them all in order. Told in a dual POV with HEA. I strongly recommend this story and series.
This is the fourth book in the series and my favorite so far. I loved Marco in the Civil Corruption series and I’m so glad he had his story told. Marco will make you swoon several times over. I want a Marco for myself. They way he treats and supports Gypsy and her siblings warmed my heart. The feels were a plenty in this one. I’m not gonna lie I teared up a few times. Gypsy’s story hit me right in the heart, but man her strength is awesome. She’s inspirational for sure. There is also some suspense with the bad guy which spills over from the previous book in the series. It kept me in the edge of my seat. This is one well rounded book. It delivers on all my expectations and even blew them away. This book had it all heart, heat, humor, and action. The epilogue in this one was the cherry on of the sundae. It was the perfect touch. I would highly recommend this one.
Like everyone else who has read this series, I was anxiously awaiting Marco and Gypsy’s story. And I am so, so pleased that the wait was worth it. One of my favorite combos is the strong, independent yet damaged heroine who is battling hard to overcome the hardships she’s faced in life and the non-wishy-washy, hot-as-sin alpha male who wants her despite her troubles. And just as I was expecting, Gypsy and Marco fit into this perfectly. I absolutely love how this story (this whole series, really) plays out, with the main couple finding their way to each other, then experiencing a setback, and then overcoming that setback in time to face the real conflict of the book together. I find that type of plot so much more enjoyable because we get more of the hero and heroine actually together in harmony. This is the absolute best kind of contemporary romance: two people who can both take care of themselves but who do so much better when they are taking care of each other. Throw in some tension in the form of romantic suspense, and you’ve got a perfect combination to keep readers like me furiously flipping those pages. This is most definitely my favorite in the series so far. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Prince has in store for Rory!
A heartfelt thank you to the author for providing an ARC for review.
4,5 stars
‘Wrong side of the tracks’ is the fourth story in the ‘Hope Valley’ series and one of the books that I was looking most forward to, to read this summer. Because after reading the 3 previous books in this series, Gypsy’s character was still a bit of a mystery to me. But the one thing that I did know about her, was that Gypsy may be young but she already had had a hard life. That she wouldn’t fall for any man, that the man who wanted to conquer her heart, had to be very special. So that made me very curious to Gypsy’s story. And Marco was indeed a very special guy. He wasn’t only strong enough to break through the wall that Gypsy had built around her heart but also to take care of her brothers and sisters too.
Gypsy may be only 25 years old but she already knows a lot about responsibility, about taking care of family, about love and heartbreak. Gypsy is the oldest of six children, her parents decided after the youngest child was born (two years ago) that being parents wasn’t something for them, so they left and Gypsy became the only caretaker and ‘the parent’ for her 5 younger siblings. Life isn’t easy but the love that Gypsy gets from her siblings is worth every worry. One of the difficult decisions that Gypsy had to made, to provide for her family, was to become a stripper. It is not something that she likes but it pays the bills. Then she meets the most handsome and interesting man…..Marco. He’s everything that she dreamt of as a young girl before her heart got broken too many times. Because of that, she keeps away from him. But Marco isn’t a man that will accept distance. No! He wants to get very close to Gypsy. Will Gypsy let him in? In her heart and in her family? Or is the wall around her heart too big to break through?
This story was everything that I hoped for. We got to see the ‘real’ Gypsy, a woman who loves passionate but who also hurts very deep. A strong woman with a lot of responsibilities. Life made her hard, so she needed a man who understood all that and Marco is the perfect guy for her. He also had had a difficult life and heartbreak. I loved how he could be both dominant when needed but also patient and soft hearted at other times, especially with the children. I really loved them as a couple and Gypsy’s brothers and sisters made this story more emotional. ‘Wrong side of the tracks’ is another great book in this series. The story is told from both POV’s but we get a bit more of Gypsy’s POV than Marco’s but I didn’t mind that. This book can be read as a standalone.
I’m already looking forward to the next book, that will be about Rory and Cord!!!
Another fabulous addition to the Hope Valley family of seriously sexy hunks and their awesome women. The uber hunk Marco and his girasol aka sunflower, Gypsy, are one sizzling couple. Sexy hot! Gypsy is amazing and her fierce love for her siblings as their only provider and protector is awe inspiring. She is terrific as she works two jobs to take care of her family. And those kids! You could make whole series about those wonderful young boys and girls. They were all great. And then the supremely male Marco enters the picture and the love really begins. He wins over the kids but first he has to breakdown Gypsy’s walls and her “I’m from the wrong side of the tracks” mentality. Marco could care less and he has his own demons to deal with. When an old nemesis suddenly pops up at one of Gypsy’s work places the crew from Marco’s employer, Alpha Omega Investigations, gets involved especially the darkly mysterious Xander. Can’t wait for his story. Fantastic storytelling, spectacular characters, and the wonderful family and friends makes this story and the series a must read. I love the group of supportive women and the way they are always there for each other. And not to be outdone are the spectacular hotties that are attached, or want to attached, to those fabulous women. The author does a terrific job of including previous couples without giving away too much of their stories. This one has it all…a steamy romance, a suspenseful element with danger, a swoon-worthy hero, a beautiful heroine, and great support characters. Just fantastic! I look forward to the next Hope Valley story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
Jessica Prince never fails to disappoint when it comes to giving us a new couple and a new story to fall in love with. Gypsy and Marco were perfect match.
Gypsy has a lot on her plate, her parents abandoned her a couple of years ago leaving her to raise her 4 siblings alone. She works as a stripper to help make ends meet but its never easy.
Marco has had his eye on Gypsy for a while. When she finds herself in danger and needing protection there’s only one person for the job. Gypsy has been let down a lot in her life and has constructed steel bars around her heart Marco is determined to break them down and prove to her that she is worthy of his love but the big question is will Gypsy let him?
Another fabulous story from Hope Valley that I cannot recommend enough!!
Ps, if you have read Jessica Prince before you may also see a few familiar characters pop up in Gypsy and Marco’s story too.
