So wrong it’s right… growing her confidence in their texts and calls—and it even starts spilling out into her everyday life. Part of her revels in her secret life—but part of her secretly wishes for more.
They never share more than first names, but each texting encounter gets hotter and hotter—and more intimate than either of them ever imagined. But you can’t trust a stranger on the phone. Not really. You can’t ache for something you’ve never had. And you certainly can’t fall in love with someone you’ve never even met, can you?
Author Confession: Welcome to Brazen Bay, a small town I crafted just to explore that feeling of so wrong it’s right. Just because something is forbidden or taboo doesn’t make it wrong, does it? (You’d have to see the pictures on their phones to answer that.) Gruff Leo and sweet Dixie are perfect strangers and perfectly naughty when they let their guards down with someone for the first time. What starts as an innocent wrong number turns into something much more daring. Bonus points if you read this wrong number romance on your phone.

3.5*
A quick, cute, hot story. A grumpy firefighter returns a text to a woman who was given the wrong number. Then things turn hot and heavy when they start a sexting relationship. I listened to the audio. It was ok it was a bit confusing in the beginning with the texting and the narrator sounded older than the character should be.
Leo and Dixie were a fun couple to read about.
Dixie is a shy librarian who is very intelligent. She hides a side to her that only Leo can bring out of her.
Leo is a grumpy fireman who is patient and helps Dixie explore her more feminine and sexy side. He knows when to push and also when to just let her do her own thing.
These two were fun to read about as they learned from each other through texts.
I hesitate to call this one a book and feel just a little guilty counting it toward my reading challenge. There’s not really a lot to this one. It is exactly what it says, a story about how two people meet over a wrong number and start to sext one another since they are complete strangers and what’s the harm. Right? OK, that was a longer sentence than any you’ll find in this story, but you get my point. It wasn’t bad, but if you’re easily offended by dirty language you’d best keep on looking for that next book. The characters themselves are very likable and once Leo and Dixie actually meet the story gets pretty funny. It’s just extremely light on any kind of real substance.
This quick, sexy story is about how a wrong number helped two people unleash their passionate sides.
Grumpy firefighter, Leo, is tech challenged, and quiet librarian, Dixie, become more daring and bold as they get to know the faceless, anonymous person on the phone. Their sexy texts lead to passion neither has known before, and they slowly begin to want more. Little did they know that they were more alike and closer to each other than they ever imagined. This insta-love, steamy story was fun and witty, but it hit on a difficult topic as well, adding in some breathtaking emotion.
Narrator, Meghan Kelly, does a terrific job capturing each characters personality. Her voice changes were distinct and her intonations make you feel all the emotion, fun, and passion, both Leo and Dixie felt. I enjoyed this quick, heartfelt, sweet & sexy romance.
Such a nice, quick listen in this book. To meet and fall for someone over the phone without ever seeing them in person was a great way to make this book stand out from others. I really enjoyed listening to this and the narration was fantastic!
Wrong Number Text
Love in Brazen, Bay Book 1
By: Brill Harper
Narrated by: Meghan Kelly – Audiobook Narrator
What a great premise this story had! What is the chance of texting to the wrong person? It’s amazing how with today’s technology, you can get to know someone without ever meeting them. In this case, Dixie texts Leo by accident, and their responses back and forth lead to the beginning of a fun and loving relationship. It’s full of witty banter, great conversation and passionate texting to make you blush. And when Leo and Dixie do finally meet, the chemistry is high! But do you really know who you are talking to? Will the relationship build or is the mystique gone? Brill Harper has added laughter and passion to texting and made this book a lot of fun to listen to. It’s a quick, playful listen and I can’t wait to meet more people in Brazen, Bay!
Narrating text can be a challenge, but Meghan Kelly performs it flawlessly. She goes back and forth between the characters of Dixie and Leo without missing a beat, changing voices and adding the building passion this couple has. She creates their world, brings it to the front when they meet and lets us live through her voices. Another great performance!

Wrong Number Text
Love in Brazen, Bay Book 1
By: Brill Harper

I just adored this story, it had the perfect mix of sweet and steamy. This is my first Brill Harper book and it will not be my last. I enjoyed her writing style and her way with words and managing to fit a lot of story into this short novella. The characters are nicely developed, they are realistic and relatable. There was great chemistry between the two leads, Dixie and Leo. I liked how they first met and how they continued on and got to know each other, clever plotting and twist on how wrong can be so right. Also liked how the rest of their story played out, sometimes things are just meant to be. I highly recommend this story, it is entertaining and enjoyable. I am looking forward to the rest of the series. Thank you Brill Harper for this great story.
I listened to the Audible edition, Meghan Kelly is a fabulous narrator and voice performer. She brings the characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality, as well as heart. You can hear the emotions of the characters and the drama of the story in her performance. Meghan Kelly is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen
There was nothing to dislike about this story. You have the surprise of mistaken identities;who find something they weren’t aware they needed. Great steamy love.

Who knew a text sent to the wrong number could make for such a great story!! A great story with HOT Leo, who had me falling in love immediately!!
This was a great quick read!!
I loved this book. The perfect love story with many great humorous moments, it left me with a smile on my face. Who would have thought that such a simple idea could lead to such a wonderful premise and give such great joy upon reading this book. There was a hint of drama but these characters didn’t need anything but each other to become the IT couple they are. Wonderful writing. Recommend
This was an awesome book with having well developed and engaging characters that had chemistry and a strong storyline from start to finish. Great new start to the series.

You ever fall in love with a wrong number text? Looks like Leo does when he he gets a text from Dixie that changes his life forever.
Dixie is just looking for the guy who ran into her car. But he gave her a fake number, and quiet librarian becomes sexy librarian when she starts to text Leo.
But fate has other ideas and when they both end up at the same baby shower fate wants the happy ending to happen faster then you ever thought possible.
You will love this book! I sure did, and I can’t wait to read more from this author soon

This is a super steamy sexy read so if that isn’t for you I would pass if you like that kind of book like me then you are in for a great read. I am lead to believe this book was first sent out as a weekly serial and as I get terrible frustrated waiting for chapter then I am glad I got it has a total book.
Dixie is involved in a car accident and exchanges details with the man who hit her now however when she tries to phone him for insurance detail he never answers the phone Lei firefighter wonders who keeps trying to ring him he doesn’t recognise the number Yes you guessed it accident guy gave the wrong number. When Leo eventually answers the phone him and Dixie strike up a conversation and soon become friends then they meet in person and it becomes so much more. When Dixie realises that has a firefighter Leo could be hurt and she would never know she pulls sway from him leading to them both been sad and unhappy. When a chance meeting brings them back to one another will they decide to try for a HEA. This appears to be the start of a new series and we have met quite a few characters that have a potential to be future book stars I am looking forward to it.
Very entertaining book.
I read this book in less than three hours. It is very easy to read and the story flows easily without effort. The main characters, Dixie and Leo are well formed and described. The idea of two people texting/sexting in this day and age isn’t novel, however I have never come across a book where the two main characters actually get together because of it. I found it a totally new approach, a welcome change from the usual office/corporate environment. We are in some ways more uninhibited through the internet, as it offers a certain degree of anonymity – not withstanding all the cookies – therefore we are more daring. I found the progression of their texts going from tentative to sexting a touch fast but it never felt false. I must however point out that the internet poses many dangers because of the anonymity it offers and I would have liked to have seen some kind of dialogue as a takeaway message alerting the reader to exercise a degree of vigilance. Sexting with a complete stranger and sending intimate photos over the internet should not be encouraged and portrayed as normal internet usage. However, it is a charming little story about a fireman and a young librarian who sees herself as a shy, introvert, inexperienced girl who through texting, is able to shed her inhibitions. Their dialogues are steamy and although their coincidental meeting perhaps is a little too convenient, it nevertheless enables our couple to lead the reader to a happy ending. It is a well edited short story. In my opinion though, it would have been better to make it a longer story, allowing more scope for events and dialogues to develop and have deeper meaning.

Dixie texted a man who hadn’t given her his insurance information after their car accident. However, she had been given the wrong number; so Leo, a firefighter and not the “Tim” she was actually writing to, just ignored her. When two days later she wrote again for the information, he told her he was not “Tim”. They got into a light texting banter about the jerk who apparently had intentionally misled her, and a little bit of flirting sneaked in. Leo, who tends to be grouchy in general, found himself enjoying the flirting. He even used emojis – the guys would never stop teasing him if they knew!
This is a book you will enjoy reading. As the story line continues, Dixie and Leo continue their texting and their relationship changes in all the right ways. Sometimes, if you are shy, this can turn into a great way to get to know someone. Without having face-to-face tension, you can relax and be yourself. By the time you meet for real, so much of that getting-to-know-you nerves is all over and you’re already feeling something real for that person. I believe this is going to be a fun series. The author gives us some bumps in the relationship which keep the reader invested in how it all works out. Pick up a copy of this fun book and see if it’s something you can enjoy. There are definitely some smoking hot scenes, but with a fireman right there within the pages, you’re perfectly safe!
