Falling head-first into the wrong woman’s bed was not how Reed Bishop’s night was supposed to go. Now a gorgeous, half-naked ballet dancer was threatening his manhood…with a book. He can’t blame her. It wasn’t how it seemed–he was just doing his job, tracking down his lead informant, who, unfortunately, took off, leaving him to figure out what to do with her friend. Staying in her apartment … apartment was no longer safe.
And that’s how he got himself into this mess.
Now she’s sleeping in his bed while he tosses and turns on the couch.
There are pink tights in his bathroom.
Pointe shoes next to his boots.
He swears he won’t touch her like that…but he can’t ignore his fantasies.
As a tattooed, muscled DEA Agent, Reed’s seen some things. Drug dealers, murderers…He can’t let Talia get close. Even though she’s made it clear they’re both fighting the same hunger. And he definitely can’t use his handcuffs on her…no matter how much she begs.
Each book in the Accidental Love series is STANDALONE:
* Wrong Bed, Right Roommate
* Wrong Bed, Right Girl

He was just doing his job, tracking down his lead informant and suddenly Reed Bishop is falling head-first into the wrong woman’s bed. Because it is no longer safe, he can’t let Talia stay in her apartment so now she is sleeping in his bed, there are pink tights in his bathroom, pointe shoes next to his boots and he’s having fantasies that refuses to give into.
This romance is very entertaining and so full of sizzling chemistry that readers can feel the heat as it burns up the pages. The characters are strong, captivating and easily draw readers into their story which is quite an amusing blend of passion, cheek and denial. Reed is determined to keep Talia at arm’s length and Talia is just as determined that her career should come first, especially both of them have some emotional issues left over from past relationships. This keeps this relationship on a bit of a rollercoaster ride and readers experience a whole range of emotions along the way including a quite a bit of chuckles.
The story has a bit of suspense going on Reed tries to unravel his case but it kind of takes a back seat to the romance of the story but is this is no way damages this story because it does play it’s part in it as with a surprising twist Talia takes a dangerous leap. The plot is fast paced and has a cute, witty dialogue that really makes the story and the relationship pop with a certain flair and readers can’t help but enjoy this cute, charming and emotional story.
What I enjoy most about Rebecca Brooks novels is that she always manages to surprise me. Wrong Bed, Right Girl is a mixture of what makes reading great. Intriguing characters, tempting romance and an ever evolving storyline. From romantic to suspenseful, thrilling to emotional and heartbreaking to heartwarming, Brooks manages to encompass the best of multiple genres in one tiny package.
This is the first book I’ve read by Rebecca Brooks and I just purchased the first in the Accidental Love series, Wrong Bed, Right Roommate. I only wish the series would continue.
The book has everything I love in a story; humor, steam, sexy characters, suspense and a sweet woman that refuses to back down from a big bad tough DEA agent that pretends he isn’t as attracted to her as she is to him. I admire Talia for her tenacity and dedication to her starring role in Giselle, but also her desire to lure Reed into her arms. Reed fights his desire for Talia as long as possible but melts like butter in her hands. He may be a tough guy to the rest of the world but to Talia he’s a big gruff teddy bear. This is a delightful story that is a quick read and a fun love story!
Thank you to Entangled Publishing for introducing me to Rebecca Brooks.

I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from NetGalley.
If you’ve read the first book of the series, Wrong Bed, Right Roommate, you’ve met Talia. This is her story. Since her former roommate and best friend moved in with her boyfriend and Talia’s brother she needed a place to live. When one of the fellow dancers she works with needs someone to sublet her apartment on short notice, Talia jumps right for that offer. What she doesn’t expect his a DEA agent to come barging in.
Talia and Reed are complete opposites. She is loud and messy. He is quiet and a grump. Despite being so different they couldn’t be more perfect for each other. I loved their chemistry, their banter. Talia would push all of Reed’s buttons.
This story took turns I didn’t expect, especially from reading the blurb, but I loved every single moment of it. It was funny, it was steamy and it had some drama to it. The characters were well written and the added suspense really made the story stand out.
I already read one book by this author – Wrong Bed, Right Roommate (Jessie’s story) – and loved it. It was really funny!
So when I saw this book on NetGalley, I immediately requested it. I was approved so I knew I had to read this book asap.
Rebecca Brooks writes really good. The writing got me hooked since the beginning. At first, I thought it would like the previous book because the first couple lines of the blurb reminded me of it, but then it turned completely different.
Reed was exactly the type of hero I love to read about. Reserved, moody, grumpy. You name it. His heart was broken in the past so he kept walls around his heart, he didn’t want anyone to get close to him.
Talia is his complete opposite. She’s messy, loud, honest.
In this book, opposites really attract. I loved how attentive Reed was. I loved Talia for bringing the best out of Reed and for keeping him on his toes.
It was a perfect read, honestly. 5 stars.
I adored reading about Talia and Reed. These two were polar opposites but yet they made it work.
I don’t want to say how many times I reread the part where Reed falls into bed with Talia. Just the thought if this huge man stubbing his toe and crashing down on a bed to find a stranger sleeping there both hit my funny bone but yet also made me cringe. I can’t image what I would have done in Talia’s place.
Reading about these two navigating living together when they are strangers who happen to be attracted to each other was amazing. The sexual chemistry jumped off the page. Add in the suspense that these two are wrapped up in and it made this book a fun and wild ride.
Wrong Bed, Right Girl by Rebecca Brooks a five-star read you would get into bed with. This author is fast becoming someone I would happily pick up when I’m in the mood for cute and funny, with a side of fruity/gripping story. It can be a little far fetched as Talia and Reed are polar opposites, but do you know what, I was in the mood to shelve my brain and just enjoy a fun read and this gave me so much joy. If you want deep and meaningful then move on but if you want funny, with a great meet cute then you need this novel in your life. I honestly can’t wait for the next novel from this author.
This was okay for me. The writing wasn’t bad, but it did take me a while to get into the story. The whole first meeting was supposed to be cute I guess, but it wasn’t for me. I don’t think I would be willingly going home with someone who just barged into my apartment and told me he was a cop without at least verifying it first. While Reed and Talia have very HOT chemistry, it was hard buying them as a couple for a long time. By the end of the story I was pulling for them, and I really enjoyed the epilogue. I’m not a huge fan of romantic suspense, and luckily it didn’t make up a huge part of the story. I didn’t read the first book in this series, but I didn’t feel lost. I would recommend if you’re looking for a quick read.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
This was a quick and predictable book that didn’t really have any surprises at all. The characters are more static than dynamic. It was entertaining and there weren’t really any places I wanted to tear my hair out in frustration at anyone. It went a little too quickly for me. I would have liked a little more development of the characters. But, all in all, it was OK.
Fun, intense & sometimes frustrating!
Intense accidental beginnings, pent up feelings, steamy releases, & crazy endings/new beginnings!
Gruff cop Reed and peppy flighty ballerina Talia are like oil and water but end up mixing real well, like cookies and cream!
He’s working a big drug case that she’s unknowingly connected to. She’s working on her biggest ballet role yet and can’t afford to be distracted by danger and this hot cop that said he will protect her.
I had a great time reading this! It’s hot and funny and tender all in one.
Waking up naked to a cop looming over your bed was not what Talia thought would happen when she sublet an apartment last minute. Talia was focused on her upcoming ballet chance that could catapult her career and the next she is sharing an apartment with broody DEA agent Reed Bishop.
Reed doesn’t need the headache of Talia but he feels he should keep her safe and find his missing informant. Reed cannot deny he is attracted to Talia but his ex did a number on him and he doesn’t want to get burned again. The problem is he is falling for Talia and doesn’t want to let her go, but what happens if he does?
Loved the beginning of this book. I liked that some of their interaction was awkward and built up over time, it made it more realistic. Highly entertaining and perfect one to pick up for a lazy day in.
This book was a lot of fun, and the characters, Talia and Reed, were wonderful together. The meet-cute was so unexpected, and it set the tone of the book. Each of them seemed to be surprised by the way fate was pulling them toward one another, and neither of them thought that they should get involved. But get involved they did. Reed is a tough, no nonsense cop, and Leah is a ballerina caught in a tangled mess. The two were so much fun, and Reed’s confusion over his growing feelings for Leah was so sweet. I really enjoyed watching these two figure out that they were made for one another. I highly recommend this one.
Note: I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Reed and Talia have fallen into a case of mistaken identity . Reed is undercover DEA and Talia is a ballet dancer. When he crashes into an apartment and finds out the person on his radar is gone but Talia is there the saga begins !! Reed and Talia now unfortunately find themselves living together . He realizes that Talia is in danger due to circumstances and he is there to protect her whether she wants it or not! These unlikely roommates soon discover that even with differences , danger and constant banter the attraction that they feel is real. Reed is a brooding, grouchy man that is just trying to keep her safe but the sassy strong Talia certainly continues to give him a run for his money!!

Wrong Bed, Right Girl is a fun, steamy read. The chemistry between Talia and Reed is off the charts, and almost lets you forget that the reason why they’re “forced” to share a teeny, tiny apartment is…well, kind of forced. It’s hard to argue with the results here, though, which is a forced proximity romance that is at turns sweet and smoking between two characters who it would be next to impossible not to root for. (And I was not Talia’s number one fan in the first book, so that’s saying something!)
You really don’t have to have read the first book ( Wrong Bed, Right Roommate ) to enjoy this one–the bits you do need to know (why Talia needs a place to stay) are explained straight off; beyond that Jessie and Shawn play small roles here as BFF and brother, and you’re fine not knowing their backstory when it comes to enjoying this one.
That said, Ms. Brooks has been teasing us for two books now with Rose’s mysterious fiance/boyfriend/possible (probable!) bad idea–please tell me we’re getting her story next?!?!
Rating: 4 stars / B+
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Two people with very opposite personalities falls in love in this book and I really liked it.
Reed is a big, muscled, tattooed, broody and bald (clean shaven) detective at the DEA. He is in the middle of a big case about drugstore robberies and murder in New York. When his informant disappears and he finds her apartment taken over by Talia who knew the informant he has to get her away from the dangerous situation she finds herself in and takes her home with him because she doesn’t have any place to go. Talia is a very open minded, sweet, sassy, messy and beautiful ballerina and she totally takes over his apartment and life. They both have their insecurities both in their jobs but also in their private lives and when they start up a sexual relationship all these insecurities gets in the way of them being together but is there a way they can figure it out in the end?
There are very graphic sexual encounters in this book, but they are very well written especially the couch scene and the rooftop scene at the police station!
This story is very steamy, heartwarming but also heartbreaking, warm, sweet and funny and they definitely have a meet cute.
I can definitely recommend this book.
I got this book for free through Netgalley and Entangled publishing in exchange for an honest review.
I read the first book to Rebecca Brooks Accidental Love series the beginning of this year and was introduced to the female character Talia in that book. I didn’t like her at first in Wrong Bed, Right Roommate because how she reacted to her friend and brother getting together. Although, I was intrigued to find out who Talia would hook up within Wrong Bed, Right Girl.
The book is told in both Talia and Reed’s POVs, so readers will get to be in both of the characters heads. The characters end up meeting each other in the most unlikely circumstance. Reed is a DEA agent, and his informant Stacey who happens to be a ballet dancer, has been avoiding him. He is trying to close this case, and he needs Stacey to assist with it. He ends up going to her apartment, and instead of finding Stacey, he finds Talia. Unfortunately, Talia can’t stay at the apartment since she could be in danger if she does stay. She’ll end up staying with Reed, and these two will have some challenging moments between each other. There is a lot of tension between the two, and there’s also hesitation from both of them. Let’s say the two are complete opposite’s of each other and I don’t know how they could make it work out between the two of them.
I liked Talia in this story. I thought I was not going to like her since I didn’t like her in the first book. She gets herself in a situation accidentally, but she handles it very well. She also knows how to handle Reed, even though he is tough. He has a lot of back and forth feelings, which is why I didn’t connect well with his character. He drove me crazy being all over the place, and putting Talia is situations that could’ve been handled better. I could understand his hesitation, but he could’ve been up front with Talia. Talia is one character who is independent and is trying to prove she can be the best ballet dancer. She can’t have any distractions, but she does with Reed.
Overall, this was an enjoyable book. It wasn’t my favorite though due to the couple in the series so far. There is a HEA at the end of the story, so don’t worry. Talia is the reason why I enjoyed the book. She put Reed in his place a couple of times. I will say this that there are some very steamy moments between the characters in the book.
Will, I read the next book in the series? Yes, if Rebecca writes another Accidental Love series, I will read it. I loved meeting some other characters in this book.
Story Rating: 3.5 stars
Steaminess Rating: 4 stars
Standalone or part of series: Part of series, but can be read as a standalone. Different couple for each book.
Do I recommend this book? Yes.
Will I read other books from the author? Yes.
Tropes/Elements: Strangers to Lovers; Opposite’s Attract
Hero: DEA Agent;
Heroine: Ballet Dancer
This was my first read by this author and I enjoyed it. We have Reed, a DEA agente who is working on a case and his informant has gone missing. In her place he meets Talia, a ballerina, who should not have been at his informant’s tiny studio apartment. Reed feels responsible for Talia and wants to protect her. He is grouchy but has a demeanor that well, is kind and thoughtful. Talis though faced with his aloof attitude knew that he was a softy underneath it all and did not back down from him.
I liked the romance and the bit of suspense in this story. Filled with humor, hot sex scenes and a HEA, make for a great read. 4 stars*****
*****I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book provided by the publisher and NetGalley*****
This is book #2, in the Accidental Love series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader understanding and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.
Talia has just won her freedom. Another dancer in her troupe has left from an emergency, she gets a small apartment and principal position. Then she abruptly meets him.
Reed is just doing his job. If he does not do his due diligence, people die. He wants to solve this case without losing innocent lives. Then he meets her.
The attraction for both of them is immediate. The chemistry is spot on and the heat just builds. I loved that we learned about both of them as individuals, and that they brought out more in each other. Had great humor, and yet was still serious and sweet at times.
