A New York Times Bestselling Romantic Comedy
I have a history of picking the wrong guy. Gay? Player? Momma’s boy? Check, check and check.
Now I can’t stop fantasizing about one of the customers at the coffee shop I work at between classes. It’s just a harmless crush, right? It’s not like I ever see this guy outside of the coffee shop. It’s not like I’m going to see him while attempting to get … him while attempting to get birth control at the student clinic. While wearing a paper gown. While sitting on an exam table. Because he’s the doctor. Shoot. Me.
But what if, for once, the man I’ve had the dirtiest, most scandalous fantasies about turned out to be everything but wrong?
Wrong is a full-length, standalone novel by Jana Aston
There are 4 stand alone novels in the Wrong series:
Wrong – Sophie’s Book
Right – Everly’s Book
Fling – Sandra’s Book
Trust – Chloe’s Book

Sophie is in her senior yr of college when she meets Luke at the coffee shop she works at. This was a fun little taboo story (15 yr age difference). There are a few bits that I wish they would have worked out a bit more (I’d like to know more about Boyd, he seems to come in a bit unnoticed, then all hot, then leaves quickly with open questions that I want answered or addressed). Also there seemed to be a big time jump with no explanation.
Some edit needs to be made regarding how old Sophie’s mom was when she had her. It’s in there that she was a freshman in college, then she was 16, then a freshman in college again. Also her death, it’s two years after she had Sophie, but in her sophomore year of college and 19. It’s a bit inconsistent. Also the time jump from the Gala (presumably before Christmas) but when she leaves Luke’s house a week later it’s near Valentine’s day.
This book had me:
– laughing so hard I almost peed my pants
– snorting at the ridiculous awesomeness
– loving the foreplay
– rolling my eyes at my new best friend Everly and her off the wall crush
– hugging Sophie in righteous (at the moment) anger
– wanting to actually resort to a c@nt punch
– lusting after a coffee guy…who may be a lawyer…
It was funny, fun, and all kinds of right even if some say it’s Wrong!
Why can be wrong with a harmless crush on a patron of a coffee shop? Oh wait yep there is that! Omg this book has you glued to its pages and the sex scenes are amazing. You have to read it to understand so just go get it!
Not romantic. Ugh. Really wrong. Too much privileged men stuff.
Worthwhile reading
I enjoyed the snarky banter that Luke and Sophia had with one another. It was a refreshing spin on younger woman older man romance book.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Wrong! I loved it from the first sentence to the acknowledgements and author bio at the end!
An engaging and steamy romance peppered with snark and humor. It was a quick read that I didn’t want to put down from beginning to end.
Another great read by this author. I’ve read and re-read this book several times.
What a great debut novel! I really enjoyed reading Luke and Sophie’s story and dang was this book hot! I thoroughly enjoyed all the sex-having! Yummy alpha Luke and sweet virginal Sophie, what a great combo.
I don’t want to give the story away because you really need to read it. But I thought the story flowed really well, it kept me engaged the whole time and it had quite a few funny parts. Sophie’s friend Everly was ah-mazing. Fingers crossed she gets her own book! I would love to read more about her. Loved the epilogue. It left me with the warm fuzzies.
The Author bio is the absolute best! Made me giggle so hard. If you want to read a light, funny, not a heck of a lot of drama or angst with a big heaping side of hot and steamy sex. Then read this book like yesterday!
Unpopular opinion alert. Based on the Amazon reviews, looks like I’m in the minority on this one.
What the hell did I just read? Is it supposed to be romantic comedy? The first two chapters are certainly funny enough to qualify, but the funny dies an abrupt death when the heroine and hero hook up for the first time. Is it supposed to be young adult? The heroine is young enough to qualify, but the hero is thirty-six, so I’m not sure it can be considered a true YA novel.
Is it supposed to be erotica, or romance? There’s probably a little too much kinky sex for this to qualify as romance, and too much plot for it to be considered erotica. So, what I’m left with after all this is a headache and a book that seems to be suffering from an identity crisis.
I bought this book because the blurb was funny, and the first two chapters (which I downloaded as a sample) were great. Very funny and well-written. Then, right after I paid my $3.99, the book took an unsettling turn.
I have many problems with this book. I think this review will make more sense if I just list them out:
1.No one (and I repeat, NO ONE) has an orgasm during a pap smear.
2. If your doctor is fantasizing about you sexually while you’re in stirrups, he’s creepy, not endearing.
3. It’s uncool for someone who supposedly loves you to call you names like “filthy bitch” and “dirty slut” in bed. And no one since the 50s has used the term “hussy.”
4. I’m pretty sure virgins aren’t super adventurous—sexually speaking—right out of the gate. (And trust me, what these two do? It qualifies as super adventurous.)
5. If your older boyfriend orders you around and makes decisions for you, you might have a daddy fetish. That’s gross. Get help.
6. In the course of 278 pages, I didn’t learn anything of depth about either character. That’s a problem if this was supposed to be a romance.
7. These two have no real foundation for a relationship—which is fine for erotica, but I don’t think that’s what this was meant to be.
8. I kind of hate Luke. No…not kind of. I hate Luke. He’s a jerk and a perv and a cradle-robber
Long-story-short: Whatever this book was supposed to be, it wasn’t to my liking. My feelings on this book can be summed up as: Ew, ick and just…no.
Wrong is so right for so many reasons!
Wanna read a book that has the following?
Twenty-one year old barista?
Hot customer who shows up every Tuesday?
An in-your-face best friend?
A plan to graduate and get a job?
A dirt bag of a current boyfriend?
A super hot gyno who is your Tuesday regular?
Hot, hot sexy time?
All of these things?
Then grab this book. Jana Aston nailed the “hot gyno” book she’s been pestering JA Huss to write!
Luke is the hot, older man in this story who stumbles upon Sophie by sheer accident. Or luck. Or maybe it was fate. It doesn’t matter, really, because the story is just too cute, funny, and hot to avoid.
Oh, did I mention that our MC isn’t annoying? A lot of times the female lead is all woe-is-me nobody-loves-me why-does-this-hot-man-want-me. Not Sophie. When she wants to know they “why” she asks him. which is soooo much better than reading about all of her self doubt and feelings of unworthiness.
Great job Jana for writing a strong female lead and making her feel real!
This is a super fun, romantic, comedic, erotic modern day fairytale. Not in the supernatural sense, but in the sweet, well-earned happily ever after sense.
The dialogue is witty, sharp, yet still feels natural. It has the very modern struggle of people wanting love & family & career, while not seeing how to be happy in both relationship & career goals at the same time.
This is a well written tale with lots of sex.
I read this book upon release. Own it in every format. The audio is my all time favorite. I can re-listen and re-read Wrong and never tire of it. Pimp it to my book friends all the time. When someone tells me they haven’t read Jana’s books yet – I gasp in shock. Her writing is utterly brilliant. No one writes her brand of hilarious inner dialogue, witty banter, dirty talk and wrap them into an equally amazing story that has you consumed from page one.
Sophie and Luke are fantastic characters. She’s a college student who is still carrying around her pesky v-card. She is working as a barista in a shop near campus. Luke is a gorgeous regular in the coffee shop. Their paths cross in the most unexpected and uncomfortable way. Pretty hilarious and hot despite Sophie’s state of undress. Their attraction is mutual – but taboo. Wrong. So wrong. However the sparks and encounters between these two are so perfectly explosive. Panties will melt. The dirty talk will light you up. Some of my favorite book lines to recite are from Luke’s dirty mouth.
If you’ve never read Jana’s books – BUY WRONG! You won’t be sorry. You’ll devour every one of her releases and count down to the next.
Sophie is beautiful young college student that has been secretly crushing on her regular customer at the coffee shop. How can life be so twisted and cruel ! She finds herself at a Gynecology visit in a very compromising position . In only a flimsy paper drape covering or attempting to cover her girly bits who is she staring at up and over her stirrups …the handsome debonair customer in his white lab coat!
Luke could not have been more shocked than to see his lovely coffee barista spread eagle on his exam table , how can this get any more awkward …well it can he is extremely attracted to this young woman and now she is off limits!
Neither one is prepared for what could, should and certainly would happen .
It is a sexy, funny, laugh out loud tale with so many crazy embarrassing moments you will love it! I fell in love with the quirky Sophia and the strict naughty Luke!

I can’t say this was my favorite read. While I didn’t hate it, was a little rough, for me personally. The story seemed to move all too fast and I didn’t really enjoy the main character thinking one way, but actions were completely different. It was surprising how quickly she jumps into this “relationship” and doesn’t question why things are happening the way they do. It wasn’t a terrible read, but again, not my favorite
wrong
I am so in love with this book!!!
I started laughing at the first page and never stopped! Everly, Sophie’s best friend is hilarious and she deserves her own book!!!!
I love Sophie..She is intelligent, smart, funny and she knows what she wants..She knows from her past what not to do, but at the same time this handsome stranger has her captivated!
Luke is sophisticated and serious, intelligent and very good at his job, he is older than Sophie but somehow when he is with her he is more playful and relaxed.
What started as a crush turned into so much more..But the journey is hilarious..especially the first time Sophie and Luke come face to face at the clinic!!!
There is drama too but I think it was just the right amount and oh my I didn’t see that twist coming!!!!
It was perfect.. I couldn’t put it down and I fell in love with the story and the characters..well most of them..others I wish I could torture and who knows maybe my wish will come true!!!
Awesome debut novel and I seriously hope to get more books!!
Brilliant book. First I’ve read by this author.

I’m off to find more!!
Loved it
Sometimes even when things seem so “Wrong”, they end up being very, very right!
Just read the funny story line skipped the detailed sex
This story caught me and kept me. After reading this one I went to find the others in the series – I love when that happens!
