When I was fifteen, a single bullet changed my life. I spent the next decade trying to outrun the devastation of my past, building an empire that would shield me from whatever life could throw at me.But all the money in the world couldn’t help me when I found a screaming newborn abandoned on my doorstep.I’d never wanted to be a father. Passing the sludge that ran through my veins down to an … veins down to an innocent child seemed like a tragedy. But there she was—pink cheeks, red hair, and mine.
Somehow, against all logic, that little girl became the best thing that ever happened to me. It was impossible to stay lost in the past when I was the only one who could protect her future.
Which is exactly why, when her mother came back four years later, I was ready for battle.
If only I could stop myself from falling in love with her during the war.

Absolutely loved this book!!! So many twists and turns, the emotions!!! Goodness, one minute I could be laughing and then the next I was trying to read through my tears. I couldn’t put it down, I know my mouth hung open in shock a few times! I was rooting for these two, had my fingers crossed and everything!!! You need to read this duet!!!
Another duet from this author that is FANTASTIC!!!
Omg…ok…wow!! Written With You is the second installment of Aly Martinez‘s The Regret duet and you absolutely must stop whatever you are doing to grab these books. I knew after finishing the first book that this would be a story that I would never forget and this book confirmed it. Everything about Hadley and Caven’s story is raw and real. It is an intense, angsty, love story that I couldn’t put down.
Both Hadley and Caven knew that their pasts were connected but neither of them (or me) knew how much. All of the revelations that came out during the conclusion of this duet pulled on my heart a bit more and I couldn’t help but fell the shock, defeat and love right along with them. I loved the characters tight from the start and love them so much more now that their story is complete!
I’m not joking when I say that this story will stay with me for a long time and I can not recommend it enough. Do yourself a favor and get started right away!
One defining moment would shape Caven’s life in more ways than one. Regret and despair have haunted him through the tragedy and sorrow. Now – the past has managed to sneak its way back into the present in the most unexpected of ways. A tiny fissure in the reality that was Caven’s life, now begins to slowly dissolve. That one tragic event holds more power than anyone ever believed. Will Caven have the strength to stop the destruction for one final time?
Written With You is the epic conclusion of the Regret Duet by Aly Martinez. This journey will follow Caven and Willow through the heartache that has led them to this point in life. Nothing will be easy, but the revelations and secrets will lead you on one epic rollercoaster! Does it all sound a little bit vague for a review??? Well…..there is absolutely NO WAY I am spoiling one single morsel of this delectable conclusion for readers!!
There are a couple of things I can tell you though. This is one novel that will lead you by the heartstrings towards an unforgettable ending. No one is immune to the angst and desperation that will weave its way into your heart. With expertly woven twists and turns that will surprise you with their revelations, it is no wonder why I am recommending this duet to readers of all genres!! Written With You is a beautiful story, that will lead you on an unforgettable journey through the eyes of the survivors of a tragic past. Prepare yourself to get lost in the secrets……..
Written With You was outstanding from beginning to end!! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book and it more than exceeded my expectations. Written With Regret (book one) had a MAJOR cliffhanger and I was more than thrilled to see that Written With You picked up right where Written With Regret left off.
This storyline had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation wondering how everything would unfold. Trust me when I tell you that all of your lingering questions from Written With Regret will be answered although some answers will knock you off your feet!! There were some pretty intense moments and unforeseeable plot twists that left me reeling. I was glued to my iPad, I couldn’t put this book down and I’m still not over it.
Written With You is absolute perfection with its swoon worthy, romantic, sexy and emotional scenes. There were times where I laughed, cried and clutched my chest however in the end, it was well worth it. The Regret Duet is a five plus star read and it’s one of the BEST duets that I’ve read all year.
This is the conclusion to the duet and book one must be read first.
Aly is a master at story building, she ramps up the tension and expectations and never disappoints the reader. I had guessed one of the twists however the buildup to the reveal was flawless. When I thought nothing could surprise me BOOM Aly threw a grenade into the story.
Everything I loved in book one was here but amped up to the max. The reader feels the tension, I felt it building. My love for Caven, Hadley and Rosie increased so much. They go through so much together I just wanted to wrap them in a protective bubble so no harm could come to them. I thought my heart would stop near the end I literally held my breath through the whole chapter. The epilogue was absolute perfection.

I need more! I can’t even tell you what I want more of, just more of everything. This book has the tiniest twists and turns that completely rock your world. I am left with so many questions after just the hint that there maybe something else to come, or some other explanation for why things happened. I was utterly surprised so many times with this book.
The story between Caven and Hadley and Willow is so complex. This will definitely keep you up night. (Review by Terri “Jane”)
This is the second part of this amazing duet, and after the cliffy at the end of the first book, I could not wait to get stuck into this! Caven and Willow survived a horrendous event are children, and now as adults they are haunted and battle to overcome their demons. I loved little Rosie she is so cute and entertaining, and the bond she has with Caven is awesome. This is a truly beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster throughout, as well as being heartbreaking, humorous, steamy, tragic, thrilling, gritty, raw, mysterious, and with angst, drama, witty banter, and the unexpected twist which I did not see coming. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I recommend this gifted authors’ work for all.
Written With You is the conclusion to the regret duet. It was a great read. It gives you all the feels. I loved Caven and Hadley. They were great together. Rosalee was so adorable. Definitely a must read series!
How many different ways can I say that Aly Martinez is one of my favorite writers? Probably hundreds, but the easiest way to say it is just that – she is one of my favorites. She never fails to give me a story that I become completely invested in or characters that feel like real people I need to know. She is no doubt a talented and gifted writer.
Written With You picks up right where Written With Regret ends. It gripped my heart and squeezed until the very end. It’s fraught with suspense, layered with intrigue, and full of love.
I can tell you my heart soared and broke on every other page. I can tell you it was one heck of a ride. I can tell you that Written With You gave me what I wanted. But that’s about it because I don’t want to spoil the duet. This isn’t a long review. It doesn’t need to be. The Regret Duet speaks for itself. It’s a must read!
Out of the pits of fire, steel is forged. Caven and Hadley/Willow had been through so much tragedy that you can’t help but want to cheer them on to healing together with little Rosalee.
This heart pounding, stunning duet conclusion takes us readers on a journey, bumpy ride and all. Revelations, truths, and acceptance help everyone live second by second, moment by moment. The way this story unfolds had me not wanting to put this down. Bravo on another great series and characters.
4 stars. Written with You is book two in the Regret duet and the conclusion to the couple’s story. I enjoyed the way everything wrapped up in this book. At the end of book one, where we met Caven and Hadley, we are left on a huge cliffhanger and we don’t know what is happening or who to believe. That surprise is clarified quickly in this book, but there is much to be resolved in the story still. I can’t go into any detail about the story as this book has some big twists and turns, but I was thoroughly satisfied with the conclusion to the story.
This book is a little tough to review without spoiling it. This is a fast paced, hard to put down, angsty story. I was shocked and surprised at times, but I also enjoyed the emotional story, the sweet and sexy moments between the couple, the heartbreak and the joy between them. I really loved this pair and felt they were a perfect match, soulmates who were meant to be together. I enjoyed the way their relationship progressed. It was tested (and I cried), but they came out stronger for all they went through in the end. Everything turned out the way it was supposed to and everyone got what they deserved. I enjoyed their little girl, Rosalee’s character, too. She was adorable. They all made a cute, happy family. I did want a few more happy times mixed in with the heart ache, but I still enjoyed it. I also think it would have been a bit better reading the books directly back to back, as splitting them up loses some of the momentum.
Overall, I enjoyed this book, and I enjoyed this entire duet a lot. The story was memorable, emotional, sweet, sexy, and suspenseful. I will be thinking about these characters for a long time to come. I look forward to more from Ms. Martinez in the future!
Gosh after Aly Martinez left us hanging with Written with Regret, I COULD NOT wait to get my hands on book 2 of this duet.
And man did it blow me away! I loved how the author built this story up- working diligently not to reveal anything throughout book one and then preceding to blow my mind with the twists and turns of book two. The plot was great although I’m not going to lie and say there weren’t a couple points where I was like hmm what? But, the fantastic plot shed light on just how much I absolutely loved the characters Aly Martinez brought to life. Definitely will be craving more from this world!
Written with You by Aly Martinez was one of those books that I physically couldn’t put down. I kept finding spaces to read this book when I should have been focused on other things! Opps! The story line picks up right where we left off in Written with Regret so I suggest reading book #1 first.
Written with You was just as full of wonderful twists, steaminess, and great story telling as Written with Regret was. I fell in love with these characters. This was one of the very few books that I could say that I absolutely loved the main female character. Sometimes, I can find little annoying ticks of the main female character but I found none. Same with Caven. Caven is one of the best book boyfriends. I know I say that a lot with some books but this was just out of this world. And little Rosalee. I hope I have a little girl like her someday!
Aly Martinez is amazing with this story. The twists and turns that I did not see coming! Aly is fairly new to me, I think I’ve only read a handful of her books, but I need to run out and find all of her others. Her writing is so captivating, full of depth, and emotion.
The Regret Duet was one of the best series I’ve read this year. Completely top notch.
Absolutely brilliant. Aly Martinez has a way of sucking you in, breaking your heart and making you glad for it. Caven and Hadley’s story was far from finished in Written with Regret. The conclusion to their journey will take you on another rollercoaster ride of emotions that is so worth all the angst: another stunning revelation that will make your heart stop and an epilogue that will leaving smiling and wishing for more.
Written with You is the ultimate conclusion to the Regret Duet. I mean, talk about feels. Aly Martinez went full-throttle in pulling out every single emotion possible from me as I devoured every single word of this tour de force. Every question I had after my jaw dropped to the floor at the cliffhanger ending to book one, Written with Regret, was answered. Even as my own heart was breaking right along with Caven and Hadley, I couldn’t look away even if I wanted to. Martinez’s gift of writing at a sensitive pace, giving me the time to absorb all that continues to transpire is nothing short of brilliant. I took every ounce of pain that these two had to bear, never quite imagining their lives would take such a shocking turn. But there is that underlying hope that somehow permeates all the horror, all the sadness and all the doubt that is the true strength that ties these characters hearts together.
With Rosalee at the forefront of what both Caven and Hadley want to protect, it’s a delicate walk over proverbial eggshells if any semblance of normal is ever to grace their lives again. As secrets and painful decisions are revealed, one devastating step at a time, I often found myself shaking my head wondering just how much more these two could take. But my goodness, it’s the love deep within both of them that is truly the guiding force and the feelings that didn’t just up and leave, even when betrayal seemed to be front and center.
And despite all the lies and reasons for them, there is no way Caven could stop his soul from wanting Ms. Banks and her selfless ways. There is this unmistakable link between them, even though borne out of pure anguish, that I needed to stay real. I think they did to, if not for themselves but for the spunky 4 year old who owned both of their hearts.
With my own consciousness always on the alert for more trauma or bumps in the road, I was floored that Martinez could throw in one last twist that had me reeling. And dare I say almost destroyed any rebuilding that this unconventional family of 3 had painstakingly created. But none of the twists and turns and confessions could ultimately rattle the present day Caven and it is his perseverance that is the ultimate force behind this entire story-line.
There are a few more peeks into the past as we get to know more about the beloved Banks family and those flashbacks give the complete tale of how two frightened strangers found themselves together in the battle of their lives and how fate played a part in allowing them to finally find their happy.
With Rosalee still stealing the show and thankfully so during what often felt like mountains of emotional chaos and anguish, I buried myself deep within the pages of Written with You and let my feelings run free for both that special little spitfire and for the couple who loved her enough to fight through their own agony just to keep her safe and smiling. These are amazing characters that I won’t be able to let go of any time soon. I lost myself in this book and for right now, I don’t need nor want to be found!
Aly Martinez keeps the pages turning with her incredible writing talent, always delivering exactly what the readers want. It’s not easy to craft a duet that is heartfelt and gripping from the first pages of the first book until the last ones of the second. But she does just that with The Regret Duet and I’m here to say that this is beyond a must read. It is utterly magnificent.
A huge 5++++ stars!
I received an ARC in return for an honest review. I was so anxious to read the second book in this duet to see what had happened. This was such a good story I couldn’t put the book down!
WARNING -this is one book you will NOT be able to put down. Filled with edge of your seat intrigue and matched with so many twists and turns the reader never knows what is around the bend, this book was a masterpiece. The story of Caven and Hadley as well as adding the adorable Rosie was one you NEED to read. The storyline was so unpredictable that you are left wiping tears form your eyes in some parts and yelling obscenities at your kindle in others. Aly Martinez does not disappoint at all!!
Once again we rejoin Caven and Hadley on their heartbreaking journey, and just like the first time around this adventure packs an powerful emotional punch. Within minutes of being reunited with this couple I found myself addicted to their story all over again, and right in the middle of a overwhelming emotional overload. These two brought so much feeling and drama to the pages, there were heart soaring highs, and gut punching lows that had me in tears. From beginning to end they had me on the edge of my seat in anticipation and my emotions swirling, their story seriously wrecked me… in the best possible way.
There isn’t much I can say about the story line without giving too many details away, so I will just say this… What you find between the pages of this duet is certain to make you feel, the characters resilience with leave you inspired, and their story will remind you of the importance of forgiveness. These characters are unforgettable, they have ingrained themselves into my heart, and I am certain they will be there for a long while. I guarantee once you meet them you won’t want to let them go! This is seriously one of the best first reads I’ve had the pleasure of reading so far this year, it comes brimming with feels, suspense, drama, and of course the good stuff that’ll have you swooning long after the last page is turned! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
What a perfect conclusion to a fantastic duet !!!!
Book 1 blew me away and I was still reeling from the cliffhanger when I picked up Written With You and I couldn’t put it down I needed to know how it all ended I needed to know if Caven Hunt, Rosalee and Hadley Banks got their HEA and once again I was drawn in from the very first page.
It’s hard to right a review for this duet without giving the story away and I really don’t want to do that because I believe you need to read both these books with no expectations you need to read it first hand so I’m just going to tell you all the feels this journey gave me and believe me it’s a journey you will want to join…….
I laughed and I cried, I held my breath and I gasped as I sat on the edge of my seat, this book has it all, emotions and twists and turns will keep you glued to the pages and what about that Epilogue !!!
This duet is a must read and I’m sure if you give it a chance like me it will be on you best reads of 2019 another great read from this very talented author .
5+ stars
Oh My! I have been waiting anxiously for the second part of this duet to give me answers to some of my questions. And the author doesn’t hold out on some of them and provides them pretty early. But there was so much more to their story! I devoured it in one sitting and could not put it down. I spent the first part of the book on baited breath waiting for secrets to be exposed and then just went along for the ride as their story twisted and turned.
I loved these two together. They have a connection that is forged in tragedy but also had a huge impact on them. And sweet little Rosalee is such a bright light in their world. There are some people who act as support or voices of reason, while some others bring tension, drama, and even some backlash. But most of the people around them have some strong opinions on whether they should be in a relationship or not. And at times they are questioning it themselves.
There is so much more to their past and the present. I was totally surprised by some twists that I never saw coming. Wow! I love it when an author can put something over on me and make my jaw drop! And she blew my mind! This was jam packed with the good, the bad, the ugly…and the unexpected.
These two definitely had their ups and downs. But I loved that they could be vulnerable and rational about each other’s issues. Their pasts were so tragic and some of their family dynamics so toxic, that these two really needed acceptance and love so bad. They made each other feel. They needed to be able to let go of guilt and regrets and to forgive themselves and each other. It truly is about finding a way to live in the moment.
This is a captivating story of deep connections, forgiveness, healing, and redemption. But there is also mystery, suspense, and emotional turmoil. But due to the sweetness and humor of some situations, it was balanced and did not feel too heavy. But this duet is a journey through the lives of these likable, but complex and flawed individuals that lived through something horrible and how they finally found their way to the other side despite challenges and surprises. I was so happy to have epilogues. And I left this book both still shocked at how things transpired, and happy at the same time. Brilliant!
I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
