When I was fifteen, a single bullet changed my life. I spent the next decade trying to outrun the devastation of my past, building an empire that would shield me from whatever life could throw at me.But all the money in the world couldn’t help me when I found a screaming newborn abandoned on my doorstep.I’d never wanted to be a father. Passing the sludge that ran through my veins down to an … veins down to an innocent child seemed like a tragedy. But there she was—pink cheeks, red hair, and mine.
Somehow, against all logic, that little girl became the best thing that ever happened to me. It was impossible to stay lost in the past when I was the only one who could protect her future.
Which is exactly why, when her mother came back four years later, I was ready for battle.
If only I could stop myself from falling in love with her during the war.

I read a thousand books and I thought nothing would surprise me. But Aly Martinez proved me wrong. The Regret Duet is brilliant, deliberately written and gave me all the emotions!
After the first book I had so many questions, even re-reading didn’t help. The second book started with a bang and I could breathe again. Written with You gave me everything I expected and so much more. Aly Martinez got me so interested and hooked with this book, I couldn’t put it down. And when the last page was turned I felt content and a little sad. Content because the heroes got the ending they deserved and sad because it was over.
I loved the characters! They completely stole my heart with their assets and flaws. How they managed to deal with everything they went through. How they both forgave and healed themselves. How this little, funny and curious girl, Rosie Posie, breathed so much love and happiness into heroes hearts (and mine too).
The Regret Duet surprised me with a very original plot, outstanding heroes and beautifully written words. Aly Martinez in a great way combined actions, unexpected twist, and turns and emotional love story about two lost souls who found their way back.
I really recommend these books! And I need to read more of Aly Martinez books.
I’m going to skip the long-ish review I’d normally write, in the interest of keeping it spoiler free, and just say that Written With You was not only a fantastic conclusion to The Regret Duet, but it was also twisty, suspenseful, emotionally captivating, and full of heart. I absolutely LOVED it! So, if you read Written With Regret and were freaked out by the cliffhanger and wanted answers, then you absolutely MUST 1-click Written With You today! You’re probably already in love with this couple, but if you aren’t, you will be after reading their conclusion. Along with being surprised af, and then swooning while reading their epilogue. This has to be one of the best duets I’ve ever read, and I’m so glad I got the chance to read and review it!
Written with You is the epic conclusion of The Regret Duet. The story continued to shock me with all the twists and turns. Just when I thought everything was settled, I was hit with another twist that I never saw coming. The plot was refreshing and original which kept me guessing from the beginning until the end. The couple’s relationship was surely complicated and their passion was electric and intense. I absolutely enjoyed this beautiful story which illustrated the power of forgiveness, acceptance and love. I kept my review brief as I believe one should go in blind and experience the story firsthand. Trust me, you wouldn’t want to miss out on this addictive and captivating duet.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
I don’t have the words to say how this story made me feel. Aly Martinez is a master at twisting and turning a story that makes you have all the feels. This one will remain with me for a long time.
This romantic suspense will knock your socks off! The cliffy in book one, Written with Regret, had me on pins and needles until I could get my greedy hands on the conclusion.
Just when you think you know where the arc of the story is BOOM! Martinez blindsided me in a painstaking good way!
This duet along with her recent others has me waiting for each of her new releases like a dog searching for a bone!
Romantic suspense at its finest!!!
This book is so many seconds of amazing! Based on this duet, Aly Martinez is the queen of shocking storylines. These are the only two books I’ve read by Ms. Martinez but you can rest assured that I will be reading all of her books now! Written With Regret ended on a cliffhanger and a twist that I was totally not expecting and Written With You has a few twists and turns to the story that were very unexpected. There are a lot of books where the supposed “shock” in the story isn’t shocking at all but Aly Martinez has the art of shocking her readers down to an art! Not only that, the banter between the two main characters is so cute! It’s an intense book but it has enough light hearted parts so it’s not too overwhelming for the emotions. Don’t get me wrong…it’s full of angst and drama and love and heartbreak and….oh I can’t say anymore without spoiling something. Just read this duet now!!

This is a heart twister right from the beginning which takes up where the first story left off with Hadley/Willow ready from the other shoe to drop on her head from her deception. She is such a sympathetic character with her reasons for the decisions she made. The truth comes out in an unusual way thanks to Ian. Naturally, Caven is devastated but in true Caven form and his fabulousness, he doesn’t totally destroy Willow and her relationship with Rosie. This has emotions running wild with everyone, but at least little Rosie is protected from the fallout. There were little twists in the storyline along the way that were great and further defined Caven’s past and Hadley’s real involvement in the devastation. So much heartbreak! But for some reason this story didn’t resonate with me like the first half but I’m not a fan of duets or extended storytelling. It seemed slower to reach the resolutions and then sped up to a killer twist at the end. OMG! My heart was in my throat with trepidation. Terrific! I love this author’s writing and the emotional storytelling. Caven and Willow with their longtime connection was heart wrenching and their grownup chemistry was sizzling. Loved those two but Aly always delivers with her fabulous characters. Great secondary characters too. I guess we have Ian and Beth to look forward to. Loved the sappy future wrap up of the story! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 4.5 stars
Amazing!!!!!
That is all.
This is the second book to the duet, in order to enjoy it, please make sure you read the first book, I truly recommend it. Now that we got that out of the way.
OMG!!!! What a conclusion….. I was left stunned, Aly Martinez writing is flawless, intense and so emotional.
This has cometo be one of my favorite duets this year. The twists and turns, where not only on the first book, this one has you on the edge too. If there is one duet that you should read this year, make it this one.
This book gives you so much feelings, I cried, laugh, at one point I was biting my nails, it just packs so much love an emotion. I know I’m not saying specifics, but trust me, is best for you to go in blind and discover all the secrets as you read. Get ready for a ride and a love story that you won’t soon forget!
5 amazing stars.
* I read an Advance copy and this is my honest opinion
There are some stories that no matter how long it’s been whether months or years, they stick with you. It’s could’ve been a character that you didn’t see coming and they changed your entire reading experience in one chapter or the author’s prolific storytelling that grabbed your heart and Never gave it back to you whole and you were ok with that. Do you know why? Because deep down you wanted that experience and you wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. These books were my experience and these same books?…. will never be forgotten.
Coming off of one of the most shocking cliffhangers that I’ve read in a long time, I was in desperate need read this book. Lives were turned upside down, betrayals were at the forefront, and the future was uncertain for a lot of these characters but despite that, something powerful and beautiful was brewing and we were all witnesses to it. These characters were flawed in the best way and not only did they love hard, but they fought harder.
All of our questions were not only answered in Written With You, but this author decided to throw us a curve ball that literally had me off kilter. I was not expecting that at all and I loved it!!!! This is why you never underestimate someone. Just when you think that you’re safe and comfortable in your little bubble and all is good, they throw you for a loop and you don’t mind because you secretly love it.
I know that this review is extremely vague but this is the only way to put it. If you haven’t read the first book, then just saying some of the characters names could be a possible spoiler and trust me when I say, you don’t want that. The element of surprise, the unforgivable heartbreak, all of these things is what made this story so unique and enthralling. If you’re looking for an unforgettable duet with a few twists, then this one is most definitely for you.
You know this feeling you get when a story you loved to pieces ends and you’re left overwhelmed with happiness because it had everything you ever wanted, yet a part of you feels empty because it seems as if no other book could ever compare? Well, that’s the way I feel right now!
This second part of the Regret Duet had it all and I devoured it almost in one sitting! Suspenseful, thrilling, tender and emotional, it brings Willow and Caven’s story to a powerful climax. The connection between them was combustible, I totally loved the vibe these two had. And nothing prepared me for how the story unfolded, the plot twist was once again absolutely brilliant! So, of course, I won’t spoil it for you.
We get to know more about Willow and Hadley’s relationship and the aftermath of the trauma that forever changed their life. Willow’s desire to spend time with Rosie and be a part of her life trumps her fears and her remorse for lying to Caven and breaking his trust. She is a strong and pure heroine. Caven is hurt and bitter, but he is convinced Willow only wants the best for Rosie. The haunting events Caven went through slowly unfolds in this book. His journey is pretty powerful and poignant. The characters are layered and feel authentic, so you can’t help but being drawn to them, drawn to the story itself.
Aly Martinez really made me feel and live the depth of emotion and chemistry between Willow and Caven. I could relate to them, I was broken with them and I healed with them. The Regret Duet is an amazing story and I highly recommend it!
Written With You by Aly Martinez is the second book in The Regret Duet. Written With You is not a standalone. The previous book is Written With Regret and must me read first.
Willow and Caven’s story continues. Caven just discovered the mayor betrayal Willow fabricated. She switched identities with her deceased twin sister Hadley. Hadley the mother od Caven’s little girl.
Willow is a famous artist, caught in a web of lies and just when their hea seems around the corner, the storyline throws a huge wrench their way. A twist that left me speechless, my jaw hit the flor, this I never did see coming.
The Regret Duet is a nailbiting, fast paced pageturning story. I recommend Written With Regret and Written With You. 5 Stars.
Oh wow! That’s all I can think to say about the second book in the Regret duet. These characters were so special and strong that you can’t help but love them when they are being stubborn. There is so much I want to say but I won’t in fear of spoiling the story. I will say that the author knocked out another amazing duet that grips you and never lets you go. I laughed, I had tears, I had to fan myself because of how sexy Caven is. The twists and turns really made this story what it was and I can’t wait for what this author writes next. 5 amazing stars. #2OCCJD
Absolutely perfect ending!
This is the second part of an absolutely amazing duet. When the first one ended I thought there was no way the second part would be as good. But I was so wrong. It was wonderful!
Caven and Willow broke my heart. Each with their own side of a terrible day. This book is not only heartbreaking but it’s twisted with several big surprises. The author did a phenomenal job with this and I’m so excited for others to read it. It’s fantastic!

Written with You was so worth the wait! I read the first one before this was out and man that ending was killing me! I wanted to see what would happen next. I knew there would be some rough parts and some things still left to be resolved, maybe a few surprises along the way, but oh I loved the characters and wanted everything to work out for them. They have both been through enough already I wanted something good and kind and wonderful for them. I wanted them to be happy.
I love the way this author writes a story. While you know going in some of the big revelations since they were revealed at the end of the first book, but she still had some surprises up her sleeve! Oh, this story sucked me in, made my heart hurt for these people who are trying to figure everything out, and there were more ups and heart-stopping downs that I expected. It was a great read and I couldn’t put it down once I started. This is a continuation of Hadley and Caven’s story and I loved every minute of it.
I loved Caven in the first book and I still loved him here. He would do anything for his daughter. Anything to keep her safe or make her happy or whatever she needs. And that is hard because sometimes she wants things that are difficult for him, but things she should still have regardless of how he feels. I loved that he put her first and did the right thing. Even when it hurt him. Even when he didn’t want to. He is a great guy and such a wonderful dad. He also has a huge heart and he has a lot of things to try and straighten out in his head before he can move on and get his happily ever after.
Hadley is also pretty great. She is naturally kind and caring and will do anything for those she loves. She makes mistakes sometimes, just like everyone, but she owns up to them. She was wonderful and my heart hurt so much for her. She has been through so much and I wanted her to get her happily ever after so so much. If anyone deserves it it is these two.
I can’t really say much more without spoiling something which I definitely don’t want to do. This book was a great read and these two were so cute together. Add in Rosie Posie and I was done. The story is not always sunshine and roses, but life is like that. These two are always making the impossible possible and I was so happy for them.

Wow, just WOW! Aly Martinez really took me on such a joy ride with this duet.
I was taken through every loop and every turn imaginable with so much happenings in this book.
My heart hurt for what these individuals went through, the journey they were thrown into was a tough one but with so much going on, they eventually got through it.
I was left with my mouth ajar in so many instances that it actually hurt after a while. Aly Martinez kicked some major ass with this duet and I can’t tell you how much I loved these characters and how much I felt for them because of everything that they went through.
I am in a major hangover right now and still trying to get over how well written this duet was.
Holy finish Batman!!! This had so many twists and turns that I had no clue what was going to happen next. With complex characters and more secrets than I can count I was thoroughly entertained. I’m kind of sad it’s over though as I fell for these characters. By Laura
I am at a loss for words; this duet was everything and more. I was wondering where it was going to go after the ending of book one. Make sure and have some tissues handy.
I am not going to give anything away because you need to experience this journey for your self. It’s a beautiful story packed full of emotion that will pull at your heart. I can’t put into words how much I loved this duet. I cannot stop thinking about this book days after finishing it.
If you are looking for an all consuming second chance romance this is it! I highly recommend it!
A 4.5 STARS REVIEW
When we were left with that cliffy in Written with Regret (The Regret Duet #1) it had me wondering how this story will play out. I had conflicting feelings on how I would feel but I needed answers.
No matter what I predicted; the constant twists and turns had me breaking to no end. Sit back because Caven Hunt’s story is one to not be taken lightly. We are presented with flashbacks of his past including the tragic event that changed his life and his many views on it.
The author does it again in bringing us a book that will have you viewing things at different perspectives. The questions are whether the risk to move on will make or break them into something or leave them as a shell afraid to break down any walls.
Again, this series is best read blindly so my review left with limited to fully experience the journey.
Aly Martinez really is the Queen of Duets. She writes some of the most Epic stories I have read, and the concluding part to her latest, The Regret Duet was no different.
This is yet another story that I simply cannot say too much about because if I start talking about part 2 it will give far too much away about part 1 & trust me, you don’t want spoilers.
After the cliffhanger at the end of Written with Regret I was excited to dive into this book and find out exactly what was going on! The characters and the story line this duet takes you on will have you on the edge of your seat and wrapped up in the tale.
A story filled with intensity and suspense which will take you on a roller-coaster of emotions. And Caven….. Caven really is a special character!
A must read duet!
