Magic and mystery come to life when humans encounter the secrets of Forbidden Ink. When a blood-for-ink trade gives Genevieve more than she bargained for, her world gets upended. A visit to Cirque Nocturne to blow off some steam is intended to give her the distraction she needs, but this tattooed beauty finds more waiting for her in the shadows than she could ever have hoped for. The shadow world … ever have hoped for.
The shadow world of Cirque Nocturne is not always what it seems.
Maliah is a phoenix shifter, bound to Cirque Nocturne by blood and an unbreakable vow. But when the shadows reveal a darkness more beautiful than she has ever seen, she must decide whether there is room in her heart for the one thing that could make her whole or break her completely.

This is a new twist for me. however, the characters and storyline are awesome. Erzabet Bishop as per usual has outdone herself. A great read.

Written on Skin
Erzabet Bishop
Written on Skin by Erzabet Bishop is book two in the Sigil Fire Series. I did not read book one, but that did not detract from book two.
It was a bit different from my usual choices of reads, however it was a great story.

Although I don’t normally read f/f books I am a fan of this author and thought I would give it a try. It is a well written paranormal tale that is entertaining and not at all predictable! An intriguing and interesting storyline with great characters and is well worth a read!
Blood and ink will be involved as a trade but it will soon be getting out of hand. She had hoped for a break but it did not stay that way. Just how bad is it going to get? Follow her to see where she will be taken

An interesting story with some paranormal that isn’t the usual. There are vampires and shifters but this one also has a Phoenix and then there is Gen. I’m not totally sure on what you would call her. A few days ago it would of been human. But after a visit to a special tattoo shop everything changed for her and about her. The cirque may be the only place to help her find out what she is. The story bounces between Mariah, the Phoenix and Gen. The romance is f/f and is silly and sweet at times.
Gen is leading a fairly boring life, when she forced to resign from her job, as her bosses attention crosses a line. Not knowing what to do with herself she feels drawn to a tattoo parlour. Being introduced to her first paranormal there, she is inked for free at the request of the goddess. Since then, strange things happen to her and she needs to not only find out what she has become and what her purpose is in life, but also understand the dynamic of suddenly having a mate.
the story is interesting in so far, as Gen needs to cope on so many levels and in addition to learn to trust the people she is surrounded by to do what is best for her.
A fairly unique take to coping with changes and especially to start understanding and acceptance of who she has become.

Written on Skin
Sigil Fire Book 2
Erzabet Bishop
I loved the storyline. The dynamics of the story were great. I loved the characters, and the dialogue. I could not put it down. Great book!
I loved everything about this book. Miriah finding her chosen family at Cirque Nocturne hooked me right off. I loved her beautiful phoenix, to bad her “friends” didn’t. Gen was a surprise. Gaining power through a tattoo was a wonderful twist. This was a great book that I finished in no time. I just couldn’t stop reading it. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
This was totally not my usual reads but I decided to give a go after reading the excerpt and am happy I did. The characters are well developed and the storyline was smooth with enough twists and turns to keep my attention.

This is the second book in the Sigil Fire series and let me say the fact that the story involves a special tattoo really pulled me in. I loved the fact that this story is about those that are lost or alone and on their journey to self discovery

I think I chewed off more than I could have handled with this book, not my normal read f/f, but I really enjoy the author so I thought I would try. A very interesting storyline and characters, fate has it’s own intentions. Although not my normal type of read was very interesting.

This was a good story. Not usually what I read but I like this author so I thought to give it a try. I thought the plot and character development was really good.
Gen is having an awful day after her boss tries something. After having coffee with a friend, she goes to look for a job and maybe a tattoo. Things go interesting from there. Mariah has work at the Cirque Nocturne for years now and loves what she does. She is a Phoenix shifter. The ladies do not get off on the right foot though fate has other plans for them.
