Eloise is ready to hit a high note as a pop star…except her ex is being a major distraction.
Eloise Stauch’s fears of becoming an old, shut-in cat lady are shelved when she’s invited to go on tour following an appearance on a popular singing competition. When all is said and done, she’ll have a recording contract with Harper Music. Simple…until her ex-boyfriend, Warren, shows up unannounced and … her ex-boyfriend, Warren, shows up unannounced and with horrible timing: it’s on the one day she hasn’t washed her hair, and she’s still wearing the same pants she slept in.
Warren’s gorgeous singing voice and Southern charm are hard to resist, but Eloise is determined to stay focused. Easier said than done when one glance from him makes her insides turn to mush. Warren doesn’t hesitate trying to win her back, even if she occasionally wants to crawl under a rock when she makes a fool of herself. Protective of her once broken heart, Eloise quickly realizes she’s falling head over heels for him again.
As flirting with Warren reaches a pinnacle and she thinks she’s ready to give him a second chance, Eloise discovers he’s been keeping a secret that brings his character into question. When the music stops, Eloise will have to decide whether trusting Warren will lead her to another shattered heart or if the two of them just might discover a love that’s written in the stars.

This is a second chance novel, and we assume throughout the story, Warren was the one to break it off. It shows how unsure and childish Eloise is being, even as she gain confidence taking her singing career on tour with her ex, Warren. I love Warren. He is not a quitter and does everything he knows how to win Eloise back. Unfortunately, Eloise is stuck in her own head most of the time. With the help of her outrageous friends, Eloise finds that her and Warren’s love is written in the stars.
A beautifull well written fun, romantic comedy about two musicians finding true love thru a second chance. This fun, witty and flirty story has endearing awkwardness and tender sweetness filled with ups and downs, family drama, a meddling sister and friends all while swooning in this charming story. The characters are interesting, likeable, well developed and have great chemistry with a side of insecurity. I loved the supporting cast of characters some from previous stories in the series and a few new ones added. It another addicting standalone among a grat must read series.
I loved this book and the way the author approached her story for Eloise. The story starts with Eloise not making any change after doing the show “America’s next Pop Star” and Eloise is wanting more in life. She then gets a call that she gets to go on tour with the other singers from the show and that includes a second chance with Warren. If you enjoy romance with a little comedy you will enjoy this latest installment to the series.
I love this series and Rachel Eliker. What a great series.
These were minor characters in the previous book and was happy they got their own story. I was wondering what did happen to them. This had me laughing and getting 2nd hand awkwardness for the h. It was like a comedy of errors for her sometimes! I was thinking this would be a good romcom movie and it would be in a similar spirit as Leap Year with the funny mishaps and the struggle for them to become a couple. This story, like the others in the series, has a good story and characters and dialogue. Some previous characters make brief appereances and I always think thats fun. It’s a nice read and light hearted. My only question is when will Mandy the assistance get her story!? Loved the H, Warrren too. The couple was written well. Sometimes the h was frustrating but then I remembered I have a few instances with having “cut off my nose just to despite my face” in a relationship. Luckily, my husband was patient too when we were dating so I can’t fault her, ha!
I totally loved this book! I loved seeing Eloise and Warren again in addition to others from the previous books. Lots of love and laughter, with true love overcoming all! I think everyone deserves a second chance. I highly recommend this book! Happy Reading!
I received a free copy if I would leave an honest review.
Rachael has given us another winning romantic comedy with “Written in the Stars”. She knows how to mix fun and romance and still keep it real.
Eloise is the perfect introverted girl trying to make it in the music world. After being eliminated from America’s Next Pop Star and breaking up with Warren her hunky southern co-contestant, she returns to her mundane job as an administrative assistant for a record label.
Warren has returned to Alabama after his elimination from the show and the loss of Eloise nursing his hurt and hanging out with his grandpa.
When an opportunity for an America’s Next Pop Star tour and possible record contract comes up will they be able to rekindle the flames or will Eloise’s insecurity get in ethe way? Will meddling friends and her sister be able to help them find their happily ever after?
With endearing awkwardness and tender sweetness this romance has it all. I wanted to jump right into the dialogue and be another meddling friend. This is an easy read so curl up, be comfortable and get your romance fix.
I am really glad that Eloise and Warren got their story – Written in the Stars. This story stands alone if you have not read the previous books, but I really liked these two from the time they first appeared. This has been such a fun series. This book is a clean, fun, romantic comedy. Eloise is shy and an introvert. Warren is a heart throb. Together they make beautiful music on stage. Can they rekindle their romance? You will have to read to find the answer. This is a perfect book to escape with!
From the moment that Warren shares the piano with Eloise, you can almost “hear” how he completes her. But is it mere attraction? Do they have enough to make a relationship work?
Eloise is a shy introvert who dreams of singing. Her parents are not supportive, so she has to find the courage to disappoint them.
In the midst of the family drama, Eloise is carrying a heartbreak over being left behind by Warren. Her self doubt nearly halts her forward motion in her career and love life.
She has to answer the question, “Is true love a willingness to work, or is it written in the stars?”
This was a highly entertaining read. I really enjoyed it!
A must read from this author. Great plot and characters. I volunteered to read an advance copy for an honest review.
