A romance author with a serious case of writer’s block. A plan to find a muse, write the book, then walk away. But plans are made to be broken. My name is Molly Brinks, but most people know me as Vivienne Foxx, bestselling author of chance meetings, stolen glances, and the much-needed happily ever after. At the age of twenty-nine-plus-one, I am at the top of my game…professionally. My personal … game…professionally.
My personal life is a completely different story, one best left untold. Success has its sacrifices and I’ve been more than happy to put my search for Prince Charming on the back burner while I create fictitious tales of the naïve virgin, the broken girl with a torrid past, and the strong-willed student finding their own Mr. Right…
Until one hell of a case of writer’s block and a tight deadline set by my publisher forces me to go in search of inspiration.
Armed with an account on every dating website out there, I devise a plan. Meet some nice, professional men. Go on a few dates. Hope one of them has the spark I need to finish my book. Then walk away.
But plans are made to be broken.
My name is Molly Brinks, and this is my story about Writing Mr. Right.

Unusual heroine. Very unconventional. Unlikely romance. Happy ending.
Good read
Good book, great characters, but it just took the main character so long to get it right. I found myself skipping ahead.
I just couldn’t get into this book. Never finished it, which is not normal for me.
Interesting story about a writer and her search for a muse.
I started out reading this book just as a way to pass time. Wasn’t long before I’d been sucked into the story. Well-written story.
Full of foul language and explicit sex.
The characters were very well-formed and entertaining. The plot evolved and was engaging. The author did the job, she made me want to know how this story wrapped up and left enough shadowing to make me buy more books in this series.
Glad Molly finally got her act together! Luke was a perfect match for her, getting her to take chances and learn to love.
This book was very cute and romantic. I’m glad I have it in my library.
I enjoyed the characters, but the subplot line about parents with Alzheimer’s was insightful too.
Loved this book.
The story was okay. It wasn’t great. It basically was a romance story that was the same old same old.
Years after her mother walked out on her family, and then living in the shadow of her brother’s fame, Molly has learned to tuck her own feelings and emotions down deep. A romance author writing under a pen name, Molly has kept her true identity a secret, especially since what she is writing isn’t where her heart is. Now, her boyfriend muse has left, she has writers block, and she is up against a deadline for her latest book. With her father’s mind quickly drifting into a deeper shroud of darkness, Molly’s emotions are in a turmoil. Then her editors demands have Molly looking for a new muse and she may have just found it in her father’s doctor. Suddenly, the pages that are pouring out of her may be what she’s always wanted to write, but is it going to appease her editor? And when Molly is confronted with an unexpected surprise will she be able to let Noah through the wall she has so carefully constructed or will her secret destroy any chamce they might have?
I really enjoyed this book. This author fit so much emotion into one book. I highly recommend it.
Delightful book!! Enjoyed it lots!
I only gave it three stars because it just seem to drag on a little too much.
I really wanted to know what happened to these charachters – all of them! thank goodness there were more books in the series!
It was a great story!
Molly grew up with a father who’s life was crushed by his wife’s departure when she was four. A hockey star brother getting most of their father’s attention. She’s a writer and a people pleaser. She now has to deal with her father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis and her publisher disliking her new book. It’s really hard to loose a parent and when you only have one it’s devastating. Now isn’t the time to deal with the wants of her publisher, her thoughts are about her father. Molly was raised to be strong, so this is a true test of her character.
Love this book and the characters they are very real.
So many ups and down. I loved Noah. I can understand his original reluctance with his position. But her still managed to be quite the gentlemanly book boyfriend. Molly on the other hand was hard to like. I loved her witty banter and lack of filter. Because I can relate to that but the way she was so thick headed and absolute in her never committing to anyone or living anyone was a noxious after awhile. Loved the end.
