A romance author with a serious case of writer’s block. A plan to find a muse, write the book, then walk away. But plans are made to be broken. My name is Molly Brinks, but most people know me as Vivienne Foxx, bestselling author of chance meetings, stolen glances, and the much-needed happily ever after. At the age of twenty-nine-plus-one, I am at the top of my game…professionally. My personal … game…professionally.
My personal life is a completely different story, one best left untold. Success has its sacrifices and I’ve been more than happy to put my search for Prince Charming on the back burner while I create fictitious tales of the naïve virgin, the broken girl with a torrid past, and the strong-willed student finding their own Mr. Right…
Until one hell of a case of writer’s block and a tight deadline set by my publisher forces me to go in search of inspiration.
Armed with an account on every dating website out there, I devise a plan. Meet some nice, professional men. Go on a few dates. Hope one of them has the spark I need to finish my book. Then walk away.
But plans are made to be broken.
My name is Molly Brinks, and this is my story about Writing Mr. Right.

Very long and twisted. Skim past the opening sex scene, it only establishes that she writes smut – light porn. Then you get into the meat of the story as you learn how screwed up her thinking is with every time you think it has unscrewed there is another way it is screwed. Everyone around her has the patience of Jobe.
I started the book because it looked good, 40% of the book and I was more interested in the brother’s story than Molly’s. The girl was sooo stupid….really! I liked the doctor Noah attitude but not to finish the book, I could not deal with Molly one second more. really….
This is another book by TK Leigh that I just adored! She writes the best books, always full of wit, angst, soul, and love. If you want a good story that will grab you from the first page and not let you go until you finish the last (and you won’t be ready to let go even then, believe me), then this is the author you want! You won’t ever be disappointed!
Molly is a romance-erotic blogger/writer who uses men as her inspiration. She dates men of the genre she is writing about; millionaire, politician, artist, etc. Then she drops them to go on to the next interest. She doesn’t believe in love, was abandoned by her mother at a young age and her father continued to pine for her. Her brother is divorced with his daughter because his wife cheated on him. Therefore Molly has never let herself fall in love. Her father has Alzheimer’s and is in a Nursing Home. She meets his young and handsome doctor Noah.
Noah is smart, good-looking, kind, witty, everything in one package. He takes an interest in her father that is more personal than just Doctor/Patient and Molly begins to feel something more for him. They talk a lot and discuss their pasts, giving Molly insight into what makes Dr. Noah tick. He inspires her to write something that is more out of her wheelhouse, more than just fluff, using him as her muse. She doesn’t know if what she feels for him is real or just passing fancy because she is using him to write. He steps over the Doctor/Patient line and there are repercussions.
I loved this book! Molly’s family is so close-knit and precious; her Aunt who runs the coffee shop below and her brother Drew and niece who live across the window from her. There are plenty of laugh out loud moments as well as sad, touching moments of heartbreak as Molly has to come to terms with life’s hard knocks and the love her family has for each other. This is definitely a must read and I would give this book many more stars if Amazon would let me. But I’ll have to settle for Five
I did not know what to expect from this book. It started slow and I struggled in the beginning, but somewhere I got hooked by Molly’s quirks and her bad mouth. Some places were so heart breaking and other times I laughed out loud. In the end I was glad I persevered and finished the book.
A little raunchy, but laugh out loud funny too!
Writing Mr. Right isn’t just your regular, everyday romantic comedy. This book is like peeling an onion, exposing all the layers within it, and shedding some tears along the way.
Molly Brinks doesn’t believe in love. It all stems from her past. She’s a romance writer always searching for her muse for the novel she’s currently writing. It’s a pretty good set-up for her; find the perfect guy who fits the alpha-male in her book, date him, and then break up with him. Rule number one—never get too close to her muses. After all, they’re just there for her books.
Writing Mr. Right is filled with sarcastic banter, sweet family moments, humor like no other book I’ve ever read, and some steam up your kindle moments! Seriously ladies, have a fan nearby, you’re going to need it! There’s also the layers I mentioned above. Layers of a back-story of Molly’s life, layers of why she doesn’t believe in love, layers of sadness, and the biggest layer of all—will her quest for Mr. Right end and will Molly find happiness?
If I could give this book 10 stars, I would. One minute you’ll be laughing out loud, the next reaching for tissues. You won’t be able to turn the pages fast enough. This book will hold your attention and won’t let go. Grab Writing Mr. Right when it releases on June 26th. Be sure to turn off your phone, close the door, put up the “do not disturb” sign, and dive in. Your emotions are in for a wild ride, a ride you definitely don’t want to miss out on.
Going into this book I never thought a character who was a romance writer would be so emotional and heartfelt. Molly was a writer of romance but the sexy, no feelings type. Until her last book she really didn’t have a problem with it. After all she always lived by real love is not real life. Her latest book was giving her a problem, writers block. She couldn’t find her muse with this one. Something was missing. Then she meets Noah, her father’s neurologist. Suddenly she is filled with inspiration. Being with Noah her writing starts to change. She no longer wants to write about the no feelings romantic story but now one filled with heart. And dare I say love. But she doesn’t believe this could actually be her. She hides her true feelings in her characters. Maybe no one will notice. After all nothing lasts. Love doesn’t last. Her mom left them all, Drew’s ex left too. Wouldn’t it happen to her? But Noah showed her that love did indeed exist and they could be happy together.
Falling in love, the wall you build around your heart to protect it crumbling down is such an emotional feeling. I love the way T K Leigh gradually allowed Molly to come to terms with this. It was a believable and heartwarming way for Molly to realize that love does indeed exist and she and Noah have found it in each other.
I waited too long to finally read this book. It had been sitting on my Kindle since it released. After reading Leigh’s last book, I needed more of these characters while I am waiting for her next book. I wasn’t disappointed.
I am so glad I got Molly and Noah’s story. It was part sweet, part angsty, at times a little heart aching, and completely swoon worthy. I was swept away in all their ups and downs from start to finish.
As her usual, Leigh did such a wonderful job with character and plot development. Those are always the two most important things for me in a book. When you have both of those, the book is usually a win for me. This one is definitely a win for me. I loved the characters and their connection. I loved watching their relationship bud from start to finish.
This book is full love and giggles. There might be a squeeze of heart strings a time or two on this journey. This book certainly falls into the page turner category that we all love so much.
Kept me interested, fun and relaxing read.
Molly is selfish and insensitive. I would hate to have a friend like this. Her attitude and approach to a relationship-or non-relationship is horrible. Not worth reading. I had a really hard time finishing this. But as an avid reader I felt compelled to finish it hoping for some redeeming behavior in her. Hope, didn’t happen.
As a T.K. Leigh virgin, I didn’t know what to expect.
Now that I’ve finished this book, I’m sooooo happy that I got a chance to read this. It’s cute, funny, and meaningful. I couldn’t put this down.
Molly is a romance author that has the case of writer’s block. Her temporary male muses usually do the trick, but she’s tired of writing the same books. She wants to write more than just steamy sex scenes.
Although her novels are filled with romance, she personally doesn’t believe in true love. But fate introduces her to an irresistible doctor.
“Maybe I had been subconsciously waiting to find a man who would treat me the way a woman deserved to be treated… like a queen in public and a goddess in private.”
Noah is a handsome doctor that understands Molly’s quirks and jokes. He’s the perfect match for Molly. He tries to just be friends with her, but he can’t fight the irresistible pull towards her.
I absolutely loved the build up between the characters. I couldn’t get enough of their funny comments, cheesy jokes, and hot chemistry. T.K. Leigh knows how to properly use meaningful sex scenes.
I also loved the side characters, and I can’t wait to read more about them. The only thing that bothered me was Molly’s reaction towards the end, but overall I really enjoyed this book. This is definitely a story that I’d read again.
