Jonathan Green writes a lot of books, not long ones but shorter ones with practical advice. In this book, he shares his process for how to create book ideas, outline them and write them faster while shortening the process from beginning to end.
While not covering all the tiny details, it does give a lot advice you can use immediately.

Jonathan has written a short and to the point book on how to quickly write our own books and scale it into a freedom business for yourself. If you are looking to be a writer and make a living at it, this book is a great start. He covers how to structure your writing process and turn it into a system that allows you to write quickly, to use dictation to swiftly create content for your book and how to set up a conveyor belt system to allow you to scale it into a viable business.

In this easy to read book, the author gives a good overview of the process of publishing a book from idea to uploading to the store. If you follow his assembly line process, you will be able to complete more books in less time. Most of the steps are not described in great detail, but this is a book about the entire process. It’s first in a series, so books about the individual pieces might be coming. If not, there are other books you can read if you need more specific information. There is detailed information about front and back matter that I have not seen covered in other places.

In his new book, Jonathan Green shows how writers can quickly write and publish one book after another. Of course, the promise to write a book in two hours should not be taken literally. This time is just the time it takes to dictate the manuscript. Nevertheless, the workflow that Jonathan Green describes in his book is convincing and understandable. Green shows you that you do not have to work on a book for months or even years, but with the right approach you can plan, write and publish a new book every few weeks or even days. I can definitely recommend the purchase of this eBook to all non-fiction authors.
Forget the old days of writing out your manuscript, painstakingly editing it, facing rejection slip after rejection slip until you finally find a book publisher to publish it, and then watching your book get decimated by *their* editing process… Only to receive a dollar per sale (if you’re lucky).
These days, it’s much simpler and more effective to write a book that will be more easily received by the masses… And keep the profits for yourself.
In Write a Book in Two Hours, Jonathan Green outlines the exact process to do just that. He gives you a step-by-step method to turn your book making process to an enterprise, and become more effective and productive at writing and selling books than you ever thought possible before.
In this book, I learned tricks I had never thought of to turn my manuscript ideas into books, and get to making sales fast. I love the author’s analogy of cranking books out like a one-person production line. He shows how to do all this and more, step by step. What’s even better, he includes direct links to find the tools to use in order to follow his process and do it yourself. (NO guessing games or theoretical mumbo-jumbo! Just pure actionable content.)
I’ll probably never write a book the old-fashioned way again after reading this. I can/t wait to use his system to create my own high- producing authorship system, like he has!
It’s happening again.
You set down every morning in front of your keyboard, “working on your book.” It seems like this project of “writing a book” will never end. All you want to do is finish your book and get it published. You are wondering if your book will ever be finished.
There is a solution. This book shows you how you can write a book in two hours. There is no fluff. It gives you the step by step approach and identifies those tasks that can be outsourced more efficiently than doing them yourself.
The process is easy to follow. It gives you the steps to be more productive in your writing business. This system will help you avoid writer’s block and keep you doing the most productive activity at all times.
It may take longer for a beginner to create books because you might have to do more tasks yourself and outsource less work. Even with less outsourcing a beginner following this system can create a book in a short time.
If you are thinking about developing a writing business, I recommend you read this book.
This book will not give you a magic spell or piece of software to change your plodding months of writing a book into a mere two hours of fun; that is simply too much to hope for. The book actually delivers quite a bit more than that but does not dig deep into the steps that make a two-hour creation possible.
Instead, it will lay out a format for creating a book in which the time spent writing it is but a few hours. The author describes his process of taking all the steps of creating a book and outlines a number of steps: research, outlining, dictating, editing, formatting, describing, and uploading the book (but not, mercifully, the painful steps of marketing it – the author’s description of the process stops once readers can acquire a copy without dealing with the step of actually finding readers. He also describes hiring other people to do much of the work for him outside of the few hours he spends writing, a luxury I would totally enjoy (but probably feel guilty about).
There isn’t much about the two hours that I haven’t read before (outline completely before you start and then dictate the book) although the author does go into some detail about the dictation step. What is surprising is all the chapters in the book that -aren’t- about writing the book; if you are a new author, this book will help you a great deal with organizing the work ahead of you.
Am I any closer to writing a book in two hours after reading this book? Probably not, but I did come away with several ideas about changing the way I approach creating a book outside of the writing step, and that made the book worth the time it took to read it.
This book is full of valuable information that tells you how to continually create and publish more content through a system known as the conveyor belt process. The author explains how you can establish a lucrative publishing business by using different techniques that improve your efficiency and increases the number of books you distribute on a regular basis. The information provided in this book is concise and easy to understand. .I would recommend this book to authors who want to turn their joy of writing into a full-blown profitable business.
Concisely delivered, practical help
Automobiles were generally built more like sculptures before the application of Ford’s conveyor belt – and suddenly costs went down and production went up.
This innovation is the underlying metaphor throughout the book for Jonathan’s process. He quickly writes books while maintaining consistent quality, both for his own brand and the titles he ghostwrites. The book is a practical case study of his writing process, applying the conveyor belt method to authorship.
The conversational tone makes the daunting subject matter a whole lot more approachable; information is presented in a step-by-step manner which feels completely doable, and it was impressive that he followed his own title in writing this book, too.
It’s practical guidelines delivered straight and without any filler, which I appreciate. And – I can actually do it!
I received a free review copy of this book and I’m happily leaving a review.
For anyone considering or struggling with writing books, be it fiction or non-fiction, Johnathan Green’s “Write a Book in Two Hours” is a must-read. In a highly accessible and straight-forward voice, Green introduces his Conveyor Belt method that takes a book quickly and efficiently from idea to published work.
The book is concise, yet includes details on accomplishing each step in the book creation process, based on Green’s own experience. A prolific writer himself, he includes tips and caveats every author will benefit from implementing into their own publishing efforts. Additionally, recommendations for software and resources that provide the best results for the least investment appear throughout the book, with links to Green’s website. There, readers can access every resource and app mentioned throughout “Write a Book in Two Hours.”
Whether you’re planning a single book, or a publishing empire, Green’s experience and guidance will make the process faster, simpler, and more successful than more traditional ways of navigating the path to publication. This simple read will help you rise above the overwhelm many writers experience. The expertise Green shares will turn first-time authors into published authors, and current authors into productivity machines, all without sacrificing quality of content. I highly recommend this book to every writer.
I enjoyed reading this book–and learned a lot, too. I’m not sure if I can really write a book in 2 hours, but I have some great tools and ideas for giving it a try. I love how Jonathan broke the process down into modules–simple steps you can take to produce a book. I also liked the idea of moving from step to step and having many projects in the works–not a completely new idea. It’s how I tend to work anyhow, but sometimes I feel like I should be more focused on a single project–but here is evidence to the contrary–hooray!
I have lots of food for thought and a way to organize my ideas and move them into published books.
