One night was all it took for everything to change. From college student to guardian in a single breath. My siblings became my world. No time for date nights or romantic dreams.I traded quiet weekends for sleepless nights.Giving my all to make sure they were cared for. But Griffin had a brokenness that called to me—one that mirrored my own.Gruff and just a little bit reckless. He was the last thing … a little bit reckless.
He was the last thing I needed. But everything I wanted.
Only someone isn’t happy about this new life I’m building.
Deciding to set fire to everything I hold close.
And when the smoke clears, there might be only ashes left behind…

Another great story in the Wrecked series! I really loved this book and I think it might be my new favorite in the series! I fell in love with all the characters and I felt so many emotions that my eyes teared up so many times throughout! I loved seeing the return of characters from the previous two books, and the introduction of new characters. I loved the romance, and added suspense as well. Caelyn and Griffin have a strong connection, and they begin their relationship as friends, and it very slowly turns into something more. The ending made my heart so happy!
Caelyn’s life completely changed when she had to fight for custody of her three siblings. But she wouldn’t change the outcome for the world. She loves taking care of them, protecting them, being their guardian. But deep down she can feel that something is missing; a different kind of connection.
Griffin is the talk of the town, but it’s not all good. There are rumors circulating about him and why he keeps to himself up at the farmhouse. He’s experienced some real tragedy in his life, and has gone through so much to try and cope with it. When he overhears the financial struggle Caelyn is in, he does what he can to try and help her.
I absolutely love Griffin! He is so swoony! There is so much more to him under his broody exterior. He has the biggest heart and will do anything for those he cares about. Because of the tragedy in his past, and events that make it hard for him to trust people, he keeps to himself, but he can’t help but open up to Caelyn. His interactions with Caelyn’s younger siblings were the absolutely best!
My heart breaks for Caelyn. She is such a strong heroine, even if she doesn’t feel like it. I loved watching her stand up for herself, and accepting help even though she didn’t want to feel like a burden. She has such a great friendship with Belle and Kenna, and I loved seeing all three of them together again. She has such a great relationship with her siblings, and does a pretty good job balancing out being a sibling and a guardian at the same time.

Catherine Cowles has outdone herself with this one! I have read every single book she has published and I must say Wrecked Palace is my absolute favorite of hers. It is that good!!!!
I’m a huge fan of Catherine’s works and read her novels within days of being released. When I was gifted an ARC of “Wrecked Palace”, I dropped all other novels to read her newest installment in the “Wrecked” series.
“Wrecked Palace” shares the story of 2 individuals and what they are willing to do to protect the ones they love. Caelyn is focused on giving her siblings a life they deserve after their parents choose a life of crime. Griffin lost his entire family to a tragic accident, where he is left to piece together his life and heart under the public eye.
What unfolds is a story of friendship, redemption and a chance at love neither Caeyln and Griffin ever expected for themselves.
Gah!!!! This was the perfect book to start off 2021 with. I know I say this all of the time but I believe that Wrecked Palace is now my absolute favorite story by C.C. It is a small town, sweet, sexy, swoony, slightly suspenseful story! For me, it is absolute perfection! These days I am definitely always searching for new stories to distract me and Caelyn and Griffin were a very sexy distraction!! I loved getting to know both of them better after meeting them briefly before. I love how I feel like every character that Catherine creates in each of her stories are so incredibly relatable. I have been reading her stories since she released her very first book and she is such an amazing author! All of her stories are instant one-clicks for me. I am already looking forward to reading Griffin and Caelyn’s story again!!! *Swoony Sigh*
Talk about an emotional read. This book had me laughing one moment and crying the next. Wrecked Palace was beautifully written and held me captive to the very end.
Caelyn and Griffin were two lost and hurting souls who found strength in one another. Neither of them knew what it was like to have someone fully there for them into they learned to lean on one another.
Catherine Cowles did an amazing job bringing these characters to life.
What can I say but that Catherine sure does know how to write a book!!! I have loved this series, but something about this one really snagged me in. Once you start this book, you better set some time aside because you will not want to put it down.
Caelyn is an awesome character, one that I connected with right away. After all she took custody of her younger siblings. She gave up much to raise them and protect them.
Griffin stole my heart. I just love the gruff, dangerous vibe he had going. Loved how they both just clicked, they need each other in many ways. They bring life back to the other, and I was so down for that.
The writing style is easy and flows smooth. The characters are spot on!! I loved their journey to a HEA and it is one that I will remember for a long time coming. Good thing I can go back and re-read it again.
I have been waiting for Griffin and Caelyn’s story but I was not prepared for how much I would love these two. In true Catherine Cowles fashion, I felt as if I had been transported to Anchor Island and was watching Griffin and Caelyn’s journey take place right in front of me. My emotions were wrecked and put back together even better than I could imagine possible! Catherine Cowles is a true master with words and Wrecked Palace is just one more example of her brilliance!
This series has been great and in this book Caelyn, who has selflessly raised her siblings since she was in college, finds her happily ever after. Griffin Lockwood is the island loner but everyone knows his story. Normally one to keep to himself and out of everyone else’s business, there are times when he felt it was necessary to step in. Caelyn is in a tough financial spot and Griffin creates the perfect opportunity for her. He tried to keep his distance…
I had been waiting for this book! I wanted a Griffin story. And boy did Catherine Cowles deliver. Griffin is the quiet and mysterious talk of the town. Rumors are spread about him and the tragedy of his family. He doesn’t let anyone in, his trust broken. But he has been fascinated by Caelyn. She is kind and seems to understand him. Soon she is in a tight spot and he comes to her aid making up an excuse that it benefits him. Caelyn has had anything but an easy life. She becomes a parent to her siblings early in her adulthod. As if dealing with raising them on her own isn’t enough, she has to deal with the town gossip and their lies about her. Griffin and her have a special connection. They are enjoying their friendship and her siblings love him as they work on his home. But then someone threatens Caelyn and her siblings and Griffin realizes how important they are to him. Things get intense. The conflict in the end had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t stop listening. But let’s be honest, I was like that all the way through. I always say her current book is my favorite but this one has to be my new favorite. The emotions I felt all the way through has me wanting to experience it again. The book is good in itself but having it read by Joe Arden and Ava Erickson made it that much more amazing. A must read for all adult book fans. Yes it’s romance. But there is something everyone will enjoy. I can’t wait for what Catherine Cowles gives us next!
Wrecked Palace by Catherine Cowles, is the third book from her Wrecked series and I have to admit it’s probably one of my favourite books that I have read from her.
This book is jam packed with emotions, mystery and unconditional love! Once I started I just could put this book down! I was totally engrossed and committed to Griffin and Caelyn’s journey.
Griffin, well what can I say!! This man has experienced something that changed his life, which is putting it mildly and as a result he closed himself off from the world and from love but he can not shake the connection he feels with Caelyn.
Caelyn is a woman after my own heart! Her compassion and love shines throughout this book especially when she is with her siblings but also when she is with Griffin. Having given up her own dreams to care for her younger brother and sisters, she knows what it’s like to be judge for who you are.
Together, Griffin and Caelyn help to heal each other and ultimately fall in love but it wouldn’t be a Catherine Cowles book with a touch of unknown danger!
I’ve been a reader of Catherine’s since day one and I have to say that this book is my favourite of them all! This characters and storyline is well throughout which allows for a deeper connection with the characters! I highly recommend reading Wrecked Palace, definitely a top read of 2022 so far!
P.S. Caelyn’s siblings totally stole the show!! They are adorable and love their big sister with all of their hearts and later feel the same towards Griffin! The trio are amazing secondary characters, ones in which I would love to read their stories and search for love!
Absolutely couldn’t put this book down! Catherine Cowles brings out all the feels.
Wonderful! 5+ – Love this Series! – Audiobook Review
Catherine Cowles is an amazing author! I felt immersed in this book the minute I started listening. I was so drawn into this story and Caelyn and Griffin’s life that I couldn’t stop listening. The story was heartfelt, suspenseful and had all the feels. I found my heart so filled with love during this story, at times I had tears in my eyes and other times I was laughing at some of the funny scenes. I forgot that I was listening to a story and felt that I was part of this extended family and working with them through their past pains as they were creating a new family. I was sad when it ended and can’t wait for the next story with this great group of friends. Joe Arden and Ava Erickson’s voices were perfect for this story and even the kids voices were fantastic. Their narration just made the story! This is my favorite of the series so far, but I probably say that after each one! This is a must listen! #joeuary
I love this book, its my favourite of the series. Caelyn and Griffin story touched my heart deeply. It’s not just about their story but its about FAMILY. What does it mean to both of them. Catherine Cowles wrote this beautifully. I love how one word could mean so many ways.
Family is not just having parents but family can just siblings…close friends…its all about the love and care.
I love the fact that Caelyn feelings about having her own family and seeing her friends have one… her honesty on what she feels is so raw that my heart breaks for her.
Oh Griffin, the longing to have a family and he misses his family and how he feels is unbearable.
I’m lost for words for Caelyn and Griffin story, its just heartbreaking bewitching.
Thank you Catherine Cowles for writing such a beautiful story. Just Wonderful.
Absolutely stellar addition to the Catherine Cowles Wrecked Series! Page turning romance with all the feels with amazing build up of characters set in the most charming small town. Would give it 10 stars if I could! Catherine Cowles remains the reigning queen of small town romance!
Words can’t describe how much I LOVED this book! I was so happy we got Griffin and Caelyn’s story. Truth be told, its my favorite of the series so far.
Griffin…my poor Griffin. What he has been through is so heartbreaking. He really stays to himself but ventures out in town to the store where Caelyn works. Something about her keeps him coming there. Caelyn is such a sweetheart and is taking responsibility for her 3 siblings. She puts them ahead of everything including herself.
Slowly Griff and Cae develop a friendship and what I loved most is the way he was with her sisters and brother. It was everything..so many feels. You will fall in love with them all as you see Griff’s walls slowly coming down. Cae is also learning how to let people be there for her since she tries to do everything and be the strong one. Together they were what eachother needed.
Loved seeing everyone from the series and how they were all there for Caelyn and Griff. Of course someone out there isn’t happy for them..Will they get their HEA? This is one story you don’t want to miss. Definitely one of my top reads this year so far!
Sidenote: Will is awesome and I hope we get his story one day
You are going to love Caelyn and Griffin. Both have had a hard past. Caelyn is just the type of woman that everyone dreams of being. She has stepped up to take care of 3 younger siblings all the while putting herself last. This little family is jut what Griffin needed to pull him out of a funk. The story is like a flower blooming. It takes time, but when it is complete, it’s beautiful. There is an air of suspense as someone is trying to ruin Caelyn’s happiness. This is part of a series. I’d recommend reading the other books first, but I think you could read this one first, and I’m sure you’d want to go find the others to read. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
I absolutely love this book. Catherine Cowles brings her characters to life and paints a beautiful portrait of Anchor Island. Caelyn’s determination to provide a safe and loving life for her younger siblings becomes her whole world. Their love for each other knows no boundaries.
Griffin isolated himself after the devastating loss of his family when he was just sixteen .
Griffin is drawn to Caelyn’s strength and devotion to her brother and sisters and her friends. Caelyn is determined to make Griffin smile and to draw him out from behind the emotional wall he built around himself.
Caelyn’s parents return after six years, bringing with them the fear and danger of the drug world. Griffin , Kenna and Bell all work together with Caelyn to try to keep the kids safe.
The emotions in this story are so strong. What the children go through will break your heart. I definitely recommend this book.
Wrecked Palace is the third book in Catherine Cowles Wrecked Series, and it’s Caelyn’s story. I was most excited for her story because it’s a little different. Caelyn was a college student one night, and then overnight she turned into a guardian overnight. Her siblings became her everything, and she didn’t even bat an eye. Griffin has returned to Anchor Island to his family’s estate which he plans to renovate himself. His first order of business is to stop in the General Store to see Caelyn, and even though he didn’t talk to he just really needed to be in her presence. I absolutely loved Griffin’s bonds with Caelyn’s siblings, especially her brother who he sees himself in. Catherine has once again written a beautiful story that I fell in love with. This entire series is an absolute must read. So be sure to add it to your TBR GoodReads Lists.
Wrecked Palace is a sweet and addictive small-town romance.
Griffin likes to keep to himself and does not talk much but when Caylen sees that there is more to him than meets the eye she makes it her goal to open him up, even if it’s just to her. When Caylen’s life crumbles around her for a second time, her support system, including Griffin, is there to help her pick back up the pieces.
This book was so much more than I was expecting. It had everything from the small-town feel, the suspenseful edge that has you flipping the pages to the slow burn romance. Griffin’s ability to welcome the whole gang to his house, life and be understanding just made me melt. I felt for Caylen and everything that she had gone through. Their little family had my heart full of emotion and my eyes full of tears. I can not wait to return to Anchor.
Emotional. Intense. ALL THE FEELS!
This book is one of the BEST love stories I have ever read. Catherine Cowles Wrecked Series has been one of my all time favourite series. I adore these characters, the community and town of Anchor Island, the family and close friendships as well as the suspenseful elements. To say I was excited to read this book is a huge understatement. I have been dying for Caelyn’s story since her character was first introduced in the previous books in the series, but my heart could have never been prepared for such a beautiful, epic story. The writing is impactful, gripping and emotional. This is a reading journey like no other.
Six years ago Caelyn gave up everything to rush home from college to become caregiver for her three siblings. She is beautiful, strong and resilient. She has had to weather some pretty big storms in her young life but would do it all again if it means protecting and caring for her family. She is loyal, fiercely passionate and has a beautiful kind heart. Caelyn works at the local general store and the moment Griffin enters the store she is drawn to him in unexplainable ways.
Griffin is gorgeous and broody. He is a broken, tortured soul and my heart bled for him and the loss he has suffered. He has just returned to Anchor Island to restore an old estate property left to his family. He closed his heart off until Caelyn and her siblings quickly move into his heart in a remarkable way. The light they shine back into him is so beautiful.
Caelyn’s siblings bring so much to this story. Each of them have unique remarkable qualities and the way they look up to Caelyn and then Griffin I loved.
I adored this friends to lovers/slow burn romance so much. The writing is phenomenal and Catherine’s best book to date.
