The book demonstrates unconditional love for siblings & faithful friends
A wonderful story of courage, strength and finding the right love.
Ugh Catherine you’re killin’ me with these emotional backstories. Caelyn had to grow up early and fast because she takes custody of her 3 younger siblings at the tender age of 21. She sacrifices everything and anything for her family along with any notions that she could have romance in her life. Griffin is the quiet and brooding loner who Caelyn is drawn to. He’s tortured by his past but can’t help but feel things when he’s near Caelyn. Circumstances throw them together and they eventually become the best family they could have ever hoped for.
This story not only has the emotional pull but there is a little suspense too. I was trying to guess the whole time who was behind the strange and disturbing notes and Catherine keeps you guessing right till the end. She writes children who feel real and say the cutest and funniest things. You can’t help but be sucked into Caelyn and Griffin’s journey and be swept up in the stolen moments and fierce protectiveness that both Caelyn and Griffin have for the kids.
Another all round great story with wonderful narration from Ava and Joe. Ava shows us both Caelyn’s fierce independence and her vulnerable sides. She voices the children well, so we know exactly who is there right in the moment. Joe easily portrays the quiet recluse but then as his character develops also gives us his loyalty, protective nature and gentle but all consuming love for this family.
I’d highly recommend this book and this series. Definitely worth the read/listen.
Wonderful story and I couldn’t put it down.
Enjoyed it very much – a little different than most books of that genre.
So good!
I really enjoyed the characters in this one. The family dynamics all the way around are so well done. The power of love in its many forms is showcased in so many ways. A terrific read!
I enjoyed every page of this book. Funny, intense and extremely enjoyable.
Love this writer she never disappoints. Each book of hers I have read I love and hate when I get to the last page
Amazingly heart touching story of wonderfully tender soft protecting healing love and care forever!
oh my goodness so far best book I’ve read for 2022 i had to finish it in one setting characters so good . caelyn and griffin slow start but what a finish. caelyn and her family have been thru so much and griffin bless his heart. would make a great movie.
I found “Wrecked Palace” to be a real page turner and an excellent book. The writing was well done, the characters engaging and believable. Catherine brought the emotional sides of the characters to life. I felt their pain, their fear and their joy. Thank you for a great book.
Enjoyed the action-packed story. Well written, moving action, combined mystery as well as romance. Fell in love with Mia but thought her actions were more like a 5 yr old. Other than that, thought the story was above the typical romance story line.
Loved this story. Definitely a slow burn but totally worth it. Griffin, poor griffin has suffered unimaginably. By both loss and horrible people taking advantage of his pain. But caelyn brought him back to life. Her and her siblings. Will, Ava and Mia were adorable and helped to heal all his wounds and pain. Their little family was so cute. I loved all the little moments that happen between the kids and griffin. His fierce protectiveness of them and caelyn was beautiful. Loved how it ended. So amazing.
I just loved this book. The characters were great! Mrs Miracle was fun and a little whimsical. The story line so entertaining I had a hard time putting it down.
5 “Magic Giant” Stars
OMG! Wrecked Palace was just EVERYTHING! It’s definitely my new favorite novel in the Wrecked Series. I was really intrigued about Caelyn’s story and certainly wasn’t disapointed in the least by her and Griffin’s romance! Their relationship was incredibly sweet and gorgeous!
” . . . . ’ . .”
Griffin is this recluse man, hiding his past and sadness restoring his family mansion and Caelyn is devoting herself to provide for her younger siblings. When there’s a treat on the O’Connors’s safety, Griffin can only try to protect the little family and they all grow attached. I seriously couldn’t get enough of Griffin’s interaction with the O’Connors. Mia was such a sassy little girl and her instant affinity with the man so endearing. Her “Magic Giant” was so adorable with her and so protective. He was also very good with Ava, the quiet girl. His bonding with Will, the teenage boy of the family was amazing too. While he helped them immensely, they also help him live again after years really closed off.
“ ’ . , ’ .”
Everything felt so effortless between Griffin and Caelyn and that’s what I loved the most about their romance. It was an excruciating slow burn, but oh so good! My heart was pounding so hard in my chest and I was smiling a lot during my read from all the emotion these characters gave me. Add a little suspense in the mix and I was happily captivated. The beloved characters from the previous novels made appreciated appearences throughout the story to make this read perfect! Wrecked Palace is the best kind of friends to lovers, small town romance there is!
Yes! So excited to read Caleyn and Griffin’s story. Caleyn is such an amazing character and deserves a great man like Griffin. They have both dealt with hardships in their past and need that person to be by their side. Absolutely loved this third book in the Wrecked series. Highly recommend!!!
Wrecked Palace was so good. Griffin and Caelyn just got to you. Catherine has a way of putting you into the story and making you feel. Both Griffin and Caelyn have tragic family issues and that was a connection they found in each other. They were able to heal each other. I really liked the relationship between Griffin and Caelyn. You were able to see how much they truly grew to care and love. And the bond with Caelyn’s siblings was oh so sweet. The friendships were also right on point. Everyone just truly cared for each other. This was emotional, sweet, and loving story. I’ve been loving this series and I can’t wait to read the next two books.
What could be better than a damaged soul who finds healing? How about TWO damaged souls (or maybe 5 in this case) who all heal themselves and one another while finding love and a family?!
Caelyn is a 20 year old college student when she is suddenly thrust in to the roll of taken care of her traumatized younger siblings as one parent is in jail and the other is on the run. Griffin is the sole survivor of his family after a devastating accident. They are both incredibly guarded and wrecked by their own circumstances but somehow find comfort in one another. Despite Griffin being a loner and aloof, he can’t help but be drawn toward Caelyn’s natural kindness and nurturing soul. He begins to fall for her and despite his desperate need to guard his heart from losing anyone ever again, he cant help but want to be there for Caelyn and the Tiny Terrors as trouble finds them.
I absolutely adore the relationship that Mia and Griffin have. He sees his sister in her a bit but despite that pain, he can’t help but WANT to be her magic giant. I also find the bond that Griffin and Will discover so heartwarming. After being alone for so long, this crazy little family of Caelyn, Will, Ava & Mia is exactly what Griffin needs to love again.
“Never be ashamed od feeling deeply. It doesn’t make you weak. It makes you so incredibly strong.”
These are 5 people who have more emotions to deal with than anyone should. The fact that they are the soft place to land for one another is the HEA alone that I needed, but I am sure happy that Catherine Cowles also gave us a romantic HEA.
This book is not just a love story between a man and a woman. It is the love story of a FAMILY. We see inside each child’s mind as well (a little less Ava’s) and see their growth and healing along side Caelyn and Griffins.
At the beginning of her junior year of college Caelyn’s parents are arrested and does everything in her power to become the guardian for her three younger siblings. Six years later she is struggling but raising the kids the best she can – they are healthy, happy and thriving. But when her struggles seem to increase, Griffin, the quiet town recluse comes to her rescue. Griffin is hiding from the world because of his own demons but he can’t seem to stay away from Caelyn and her tiny terrors. He finds meaning and purpose again the more time he spends with them.
This was such sweet slow burn perfection. I adored both Caelyn and Griffin. I loved how strong Caelyn was and what a fierce momma bear she was for her siblings. I loved how shut off Griffin was but was all in and wide open with Caelyn. These two both had such a tragic and common bond that it pulled them together so fiercely. I couldn’t get enough of them. Then of course it wouldn’t be a CC book if it didn’t have that element of suspense to it that I love. I love love love when there is an outside conflict that the characters have to work through and overcome together and CC did not disappoint in that aspect. This author is quickly earning that one-click status in my world.
Catherine did it. She wrote another book that I have since decided is her best yet.
This book wrecked me. Quite like the title suggests. This book had everything guys. It had the tropes you didn’t know you needed, the characters you didn’t know you were going to fall in love with, and the plot that drives you to the last page.
This was an emotional roller coster that you fall head over heels for. I never want to leave Anchor Bay. I am not ready. I love this crew, this family, and I know the last book is going to be a doozy.
Catherine dazzles with her character development int his and you aren’t left wanting for anything.
