Welcome home.
I left Kings Court in the back of an ambulance and swore I would never come back. Now, with no job, no apartment, and no options, I catch the late bus back to the old neighborhood. Was I expecting anyone to welcome me back with open arms?Hell no.But I also wasn’t expecting Jasper Hayes. The tattooed man-child with the unkempt hair and the bad attitude isn’t anyone’s idea of prince … expecting Jasper Hayes.
The tattooed man-child with the unkempt hair and the bad attitude isn’t anyone’s idea of prince charming. Jasper’s the first to offer up a poison apple. He’s not the man who saves the princess—he’s the one that ruins her.
Maybe I don’t deserve a fairytale.
Wrecked is a standalone NEW ADULT bully romance. This book contains dark themes that could be difficult for some readers.

This was my first book from Cassie Kay and I really liked it. I was drawn to the dark, vicious nature of the relationship between the characters. It was also crammed full of emotion and heat and I could not stop reading. I will definitely be reading more from this author!
I love Cassie Kay’s writing style, can’t wait for more books from her!! Keep em coming girl
Wrecked absolutely wrecked me while reading it. Shay the main female character is forced to return to her hometown after an abusive relationship leaves her homeless. A place she swore never to return to because of the horrible things she had lived through growing up there. She finally gets the courage to knock on her father’s door only to be turned away at the first try. She then trys to walk around to find a place to hide and sleep for the night
But that’s when she comes across a group of kids sitting around outside and the leader of the group Jasper notices her right away and starts messing with her some. From there we see how Jasper really has other feelings for Shay and has had them for a long time. We learn they are no stranger to each other in fact we learn Jasper is Sahy’s old best friends older brother and has always kind of looked out for her in the past but when she up and left all those years ago he was hurt and now that she’s in front of him again he’s determined to make sure she stays for good. What an emotional rollercoaster this book takes us on. The twisted things Jasper does to Shay and the confused thoughts she has towards him make this book a page turner and I personally couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed it right to the end and I’m so happy they finally got there happily ever after. This book is definatly a 5 star read in my opinion and I can’t wait to see what else Cassie Kay has in store for us. Awesome job!!!
Wow! This book is amazing. From the first to the last page I was hooked. The writing went above and beyond my expectations. The writing and characters are well developed and
She dreamed off a better life, of not looking over her shoulder, of not cowering beneath anger. but life had a different idea and brought her back to where it all began.
He’s familiar but her memory is fuzzy, who was the man that’s stood before her in all his cruel and callous glory.
Is destiny guiding her along a path that she would never choose ..?
Oh what a fantastic introduction to Cassie Kay!
I could picture the scenes she placed before me so vividly and I was shocked by how real they all became.
This felt like more than words on a page, and I loved it, for exactly that reason.
Shay is rather unique, in the way she thinks and fights. I was drawn to her character from the very beginning. I like them broken what can I say *shrugs*
Jasper is the king, the man, the big I am about the town. There’s alot more to him than meets the eye and my feelings changed as I discovered more.
Reasons for certain reactions and displayed behaviour between the two of them become clearer the more you read, as the overall picture is gradually revealed, and then my one question to you..
Will you love him as much as I did, or hate him for all that he was?

This was a good read, it took a while for me to really get into the story though. I got a bit confused trying to remember all the characters.
I did think that Shay was a bit dry, slow and very stubborn. It did take me a bit longer to like her cause she did feel a bit stagnant as a character, and I thought she was a bit repetitive.
Loved the Epilogue!
Even thought it was a bit rough of a read for me it was still enjoyable overall, I look forward to reading more from this Author, most definitely.
I had mixed feeling about starting this book because it’s one of the few “bully” books I’ve read. Surprised is an understatement as to how much I loved Wrecked! Jasper Hayes isn’t the typical bully by any means, he’s just straight up an asshole. But, he’s also that guy that will do whatever he can to take care of what’s his. He’s got a sweet side to him that’s buried under the mean exterior he portrays for others, and he’s possessively proactive of those he considers his.
Shay returns to Kings Court is the last thing she wants but escaping an abusive relationship has her doing just that. She’s stronger than she thinks and once Jasper pushes her the fight comes out resulting in explosive confrontations that confuse her. How can she possibly have feelings for someone that has treated her like he has? Their story starts off full of anger and constant turmoil but ends up with an unconditional love that left me as wrecked as the characters. A definite must read!
*Possible Spoilers*
Sit back, buckle up, and prepare yourself for an emotional rollercoaster ride! Wrecked starts by introducing Shay Wilson. Shay has just left an abusive relationship and with nowhere else to go decides to return to her childhood home. Kings Court is the absolute last place on earth Shay wants to be and she doesn’t hide that fact from anyone especially Jasper Hayes. Jasper is your typical bad boy alpha type. He has been in love with Shay for years and decides he is finally going to act on his feelings. To bad Shay wants nothing to do with him. Wrecked will definitely wreck your emotions but in the best way possible. You will not want to miss out on this one.
This is my first time reading this author and I am so glad to have been given the opportunity to read this book. Shay leaves the nightmare of a hometown in hopes to not be able to return.
Unfortunately six years later she is forced to return to Kings court. She meets with Jasper who decides that she is going to be his in the true way of a dominant alpha.
This book is dark and raw and shows the side of life that may don’t want to acknowledge exists.
Shay made me feel so deeply for her. She goes through the gauntlet again and again.
The author does an amazing job in character development and depth as the story goes on.
More than a bully romance in the best way.
I am volunteering to leave a review for this book.
*Spoiler Alert*
Well this is certainly an unconventional love story mainly because i wanted to hate one of the main characters Jasper but it didnt turn out that way. Jasper is brash, abrasive and has a huge chip on his shoulder. So when Shay (FMC) a childhood friend to his sister comes back to Kings Court, not by choice, with nowhere else to go and no money it brings up old feelings for both of them. Shay has just come out of an abusive relationship so shes looking for somewhere to get herself back on her feet but living back with her also abusive father is last thing she wants especially it puts her back in a place with bad memories for her. Just hoping to stay off anyones radar and get on with her life she doesnt count on Jasper. He bullies his way into her life and he wont take no for an answer on anything regarding her. Wow when these two clash its just fireworks and the banter between is great to read. Two people who are completely opposite that seem to just connect and slowly through the book they find love for each other. It was hard to read in parts but at the heart of the story is one of love. The two characters were hard not to like and by the end of the book you genuinely wanted them to get together and have a happy ending
OMG!! I FLOVED this book. I couldn’t put it down. I needed to know what was going to happen with Shay and Jasper. Was Shay going to leave again? What’s going to happen with Jasper? I’m telling you I was hooked and I needed to finish it.
Shay had a crappy upbringing that molded her to who she is today. Coming back home was never the plan, but plans change. Jasper Hayes never thought he would Shay again until he sees her trudging through the park one night. Through all the crazy and obsessions that Jasper had I liked him more and more.
This book had me crying, mad as hell, laughing and swooning and I can’t wait for another book by Cassie now. This is a must read for me!!
The title of this book is very fitting because Wrecked by Cassie Kay destroyed me. I was dismantled piece by piece and then slowly built back up into a new version of myself, a better version of myself. While this was emotionally hard for me to read I truly feel privileged for having experienced this story. For that is what Wrecked is, a rip your guts out emotional read that leaves you breathless in the most fabulous way. A full 360 degree experience, encompassing the good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful.
The saying “fall down seven times, stand up eight” might as well be the main character’s mantra. Shay’s story was particularly difficult for me to read, which is a tribute to Kay’s ability as a writer. The story is so vivid that I could clearly picture everything that was happening in her life and feel all the emotions that she was feeling. Jasper is one of those alpha-holes that you route for from the very beginning. I loved him at times and hated him other times. Having the story told from both characters POVs really helped me appreciate their issues and struggles.
This is one of the best bully romances I have ever read and definitely a top pick of 2019 for me!
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
4*
Shay has returned home reluctantly and runs into Jasper Hayes straight away. He never expected her to return but lays claim to her whether she likes it or not!
I found myself understanding Jasper the more the story unfolded and the reluctance in Shay as her background was uncovered.
Some interesting characters which I would like to read more from if possible?
My first book by this author and won’t be my last.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
This is not your typical bully book, and I love it! This book is raw, gritty, and shows just how real life can be. It takes the crappy side of life that constantly beats you down, and shows us just how much toughness it takes to turn everything around.
We follow the story of Jasper and Shay after she returns from leaving town 6 years ago. Shay comes back to King’s Court which is a run down apartment complex that represents the life she has always known, and thinks she will always know. Jasper is a one off who she can’t figure out, and spends the whole book questioning everything she has known from men.
Their back and forth comments along with the push and pull sexual chemistry is off the charts. It is on the darker side of things, and puts the tougher side of life out in the open.
Cassie did a great job stepping out of the cookie cutter dark bully romance. She brought a fresh new twist that will leave the reader wondering what happens after!
Cassie Kay you literally have WRECKED me!!! This book is SO good that once I finished this book, I literally had to sleep on my thoughts before writing this review. Fair warning to fellow readers, YOU. WILL. NEED. TISSUES.
So Shay is a tough and independent chick who has made her way back to Kings Court. The one place she does not want to go back to. Shay has had a rough go at life in general and she is doing her best to better herself and get gone. In comes Jasper Hayes, what can say but YUMMY! This man is protective, bit obsessive, rough and smart. So when he sees Shay Wilson walking by the park, something inside him wakens. So let the games begin. Shay has been on her own and done things to survive, so when Jasper says she belongs to him, she fights him on everything. Which I totally don’t blame her. I would do the same thing. I love Shay for who she is and my heart went out to her because of what she has been through. So of course she does not know how to accept things from Jasper. I totally see where Jasper comes from and I was literally hurting for him because he was doing everything he knew how to help her. They both have secrets and issues to work through.
This book was a everything to suspense, dark and heartbreaking. It was a whirlwind of emotions and I LOVED IT.
**THIS IS AN ADVANCED READERS COPY**
I thoroughly enjoyed Wrecked. It reminds me so much of Raw by Belle Aurora, in all the best ways. It is gritty, dark, raw, demanding, in your face, and daringly different. It is obsessive and so entertaining. If you want to read something that makes you still think about it days later, then this is your book. 4.5 Stars!
By the end of Wrecked, I was in awe of how masterfully Cassie Kay wrote these characters. She took abuse, fear, attraction, obsession, nature vs nurture, and ultimately love and melded those into a plot that shows a complex world that on the surface may just seem like a vulgar and cruel environment.
I think the point is its not simply a brutal place. We are products of our upbringing and react accordingly. How does someone who never really knew love learn to trust? How does someone who loves so much they can’t figure out how to show it in a non-menacing way actually prove its a positive? Its complicated but lovely when you see the progress.
I really loved the journey this book took.
Shay and Jasper are a work in progress and perfect for one another.
This was my first book by Cassie Kay, so apart from the blurb I had no idea what to expect, in terms of writing style or characters. However, after finishing this book, I am so glad that I took a chance on this book and author as I look forward to reading her other stories!! This book has possessive alpha misunderstood bad boy written all over it!! Shay and Jasper were the perfect compliments for each other, each gave it back as good as they got! The angst was next level and the steamy scenes were amazing. If you enjoy enemies to lovers and possessive alpha males, then you don’t want to miss this book!!
