The call comes when Beckett Adler least expects it. He’s made a new life for himself in Vermont and has a law practice of his own. After four years he’s even stopped wearing his wedding ring. So when he finds out his husband, bull rider Skyler Paulson, has been seriously injured at an event, he isn’t sure what he wants to do. He knows what’s right though, so he heads down to Baltimore to bring … his man home.
Sky knows his injuries are a career-ender, and he can’t believe Beck has come for him after all this time. He’s not a hundred percent sure what went wrong with their marriage and he has no idea how to be anything but a bull rider. But he wants this second chance, so he grabs at it with both hands.
There’s a lot Sky has to learn, from how to walk again to how to settle down with the man he loves. Beck needs to learn to open up and how to be more trusting. For their marriage to work again, both men will have to find a way to meet in the middle. Because neither of them wants to be wrecked anymore.

Bull riders and second chances. What more do you need?
One of my favorite tropes, second chance established couple, and these two guys are wonderful. Payne and Tortuga create an ideal premise and back it up the whole way through. The emotions feel very genuine, and the pacing of their reconnect is perfect.
I stayed up most of the night because I couldn’t put it down. These are fantastic characters and I loved the way they interacted with each other. Peppered throughout are some some exciting bull riding moments. And the whole first 1/3 of the story is absolutely gripping.
Excellent story!
Even though Beckett hasn’t heard from his estranged husband in 4 years, he doesn’t hesitate to fly to his side when he gets the call that Sky is in the hospital. This just may be their second chance, their way to get their non-existent marriage back on track when Beckett brings home Sky to care for him as he recuperates. But can they make a marriage work when Sky intends on going right back to bull riding once he’s rehabbed? Back to the same thing that tore them apart in the first place?
I admit I’m a bit meh about Wrecked. It’s sweet, I’ll give it that; but it’s also too sweet, and the reason the two didn’t communicate for 4 years was just swept under the rug. Come on…2 married people don’t talk for 4 years, then one of them comes home and suddenly everything is fine, just like that? I don’t think so! I know if I didn’t speak to my husband for 4 years, then brought him home to recuperate, you can bet your ass I’d demand we talk things out before jumping back into bed with him, and more importantly, before we started the I love you declarations.
But, ultimately, because I liked both Beckett and Sky, and their story was sweet, and sexy too, I can fairly rate it at 3 stars. I was hoping for more from the story, more relationship and character growth, but the way it’s written, I don’t hate it or anything.

These are new to me authors but I’m gonna go and look at what else they’ve written x
This book was more romantic than a chick flick, cuter than a box of kittens and hotter than Satan having a sauna in the middle of he sun. The storyline was sweet and real and I enjoyed the flow of it. I also loved the side characters, Parker in particular tickled me. I so want his story to be told. And I wish the guys had their dog but alas while they had their baby Walter, another fur baby wasn’t there – maybe after – the end? Please let them pop into another story with a new fur baby X
These authors are new to me and I enjoyed this book so much that I’m gonna go and look at what else they’ve written X so toodles x
This was an engrossing story about a married couple who’d been apart for years being given a second chance at love. Full of drama and tears, hot loving, and tough decisions, the best thing about this book was the great characters. I loved Beckett and Sky, and there was never a moment that I didn’t want them to work through their issues and doubts to realized that they truly were meant to be.
If Sky’s friend Parker gets his own book, I will definitely read it, hoping there will be plenty of glimpses of this wonderful couple included.
Love the old lovers who get back together trope, and this one is a sure thing!
I enjoyed reading this beautiful, heartwarming second-chance MM romance. The main characters are quite well-developed & display a lot of tension between the two of them although they do emotionally develop throughout the story-line. The plot is interesting but heartbreaking at times.
There is: a male lawyer (Beckett) who has made a contented life for himself after being estranged from his husband (a bull rider, Skylar) for four years but he receives the devastating new that Skylar has been badly injured & these two men will have to make some serious decisions to make, some twists, drama, memories, miscommunications, injuries, guilt, insecurities, emotional turmoil, disagreements, anguish, realization, regrets, some steam, love, contentment, & a wonderful happy ending.
I loved Wrecked. It was messy, sweet and kept me hooked all the way through. I also liked that although it may have started with a bit of miscommunication, the rest of the story didn’t have any. I liked the positive way the story went. I loved it wasn’t full of turmoil. It was fast-paced and I loved all of it. I would totally recommend this book.
I really enjoyed Beck and Sky’s story. Married but apart, the story tells of working through their differences and making the marriage work again after a number of years.
Beck and Sky’s marriage used to be the classical “can’t live with you, can’t live without you, either” story, and the proof that sometimes love actually isn’t enough to keep a couple together. Because loving each other never was an issue for them,in fact their love was,IS,fierce…the problem was that didn’t know how to talk to each other.
Stubborn and prideful, heartbroken and lonely, they live apart for 4 years, until Sky gets stumped after a bull ride and he’s badly injured… Being so close to death makes both men realize just how desperately they still need one another.
Wrecked is a really moving second chances romance. After years of mistakes and miscommunications, it’s a excruciating process to forgive all the hurt they’ve caused each other. The journey to recovery, for both Sky’s body and their relationship, is rough and painful and it was hard to witness their fears and regrets. I rooted for their healing and it was really emotional to watch them slowly learn how to compromise and express themselves.
This is a beautiful story of new beginnings and new hope and I really recommend it .
