Oh my god!!! Where do I begin…first off, this was the first book I had ever read of Emma Slates and it’s AMAZING!! Secondly, holy hell is Colt one of a man..the way he takes to Mia is how I would hope any man would take to the woman they want to be with. He is definitely my favorite book boyfriend! I love the way Colt and Mia are with one another, they both are each other’s missing piece..their loves scenes are enough to not only melt your kindle but definitely get your heart rate up!! I’d definitely would recommend this book to ANYONE wanting a great MC read, I can’t wait for more of the Blue Angels MC books and hopefully some more mention of Mia and Colt.
So in love with this book. Colt and Mia are perfect for one another. You get romance, suspense, MC bad boy vibes and to see some of Emma Slate faves from previous stories that you can’t ever get enough of. Can’t wait for more of her books
Absolutely loved this book! It had me hooked in the first chapter and I could not put it down
Really enjoyed this book. This book is written differently as it’s only viewed from the h POV, but the romance is full and strong in true Emma Slate style! There is a lot of action going on and you don’t know what’s going to happen from one chapter to the next.
I absolutely loved that we got a cameo from the Campbell family!
Couldn’t put it down
Emma Slate loves to mess with my emotions! I honestly wasn’t sure if I’d like this book since I’ve never cared for motorcycle club settings. I’d usually download one & get bored within 2-3 chapters & never pick it back up. This book was an exception.
Mia & Colt were steamy and compelling from the start. The thing I love most about Slate’s books is her character development. You might start out with a damsel but then she becomes a warrior. These characters were well written & had me laughing at all the different characters & personalities.
I also adored the SINS cameos. It was interesting to see how different walks of life/posh & street reacted to each other.
Wreck and Ruin is a beautifully written MC book with some amazing characters. It is the first book in the Blue Angels Motorcycle Club series by Emma Slate. It tells the story of Mia and Colt. Mia’s life has been full of tragic events and basically, she is just living moment to moment as she works in a bar where she witnesses her boss do something shady with another local MC (The Iron Horsemen). To make matters worse, the President of that club, Dev has Mia firmly in his sights. Not only does he believe she knows things about his deal with her boss, but he is also slightly obsessed with her.
The whole situation puts Mia on edge, and she chooses to run, only to get caught up in some dangerous situations. Hence, then meeting up with Colt, who is the President of the rival club, the Blue Angels. From there we follow Mia and her developing relationship with Colt and others as she tries to open her heart and learn that family isn’t always blood.
This was an amazingly written book. Not only do we have an intriguing and fast paced story. We also have the development between Colt and Mia, which is hot at the best of times. Mia is a solid character who has been hurt in the past and is trying to come up against the amazing character of Colt who is deep, strong and just gets where Mia is coming from. He asks the difficult questions of her and also wants her to be his equal (even when there are times when their relationship is complicated due to the women not knowing what goes on behind the scenes in an MC).
There was also so many other great characters introduced in this story and you see how the Blue Angels are a family. The story is just packed with so much good stuff, it was hard to put it down, and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Be warned, there are moments in this book that are going to rip at your heartstrings! One of the best MC books that I’ve read in a while.

I was hooked from the beginning! I loved these characters and look forward to more Blue Angels books!
It has been a while since I dove head first into the MC scence. Emma Slate delivered a rough and sexy, look into the workings of a local MC. You want to cheer the MC on while cringing with the lawlessness. The main heroine struggles to find her way and her character takes some times getting used to. I eventually warmed up to Mia and feel for Colt, 100% from the get go. The club President sets his sights on Mia and doesn’t let up.
The attraction is real and interesting as Mia learns how this particular MC world works. As the MC envelopes her into their club, threats are about and they need reinforcements. From what I gather, there is definitely a connections to another Emma Slate series. I love having a connection to other series so once I am current on the Blue Angels MC, I am going to pick up the other series for sure.
It’s been a while since I’ve read a MC series. Every tease I saw for Wreck and Ruin drew me in. Then I started seeing post giving the book rave reviews and I could no longer resist. This book has it all, it covers all the bases. Romance, action, love, family all mixed together with alpha males and a bit of humor.
Wreck and Ruin is well written, with characters that you want to know more about. I can’t wait to read more of this series, especially Boxer’s story.
If you love a good MC romance book this is one I couldn’t put. Down I read through the night just to see what happens next.
Emma Slate has a way with word that keeps you reading and going back for more
Mia’s caught the attention of Dev, a ruthless biker president, for all the wrong reasons and now he wants her – dead or alive. She turns to the only man who’s made her feel safe – rival MC President Colt.
Colt falls fast & hard for the spitfire woman who boldly approaches him in a bar asking him to pretend he’s her boyfriend to keep the creeps away while she tends bar. He can’t stop thinking about her, but he’s shocked to find her injured & huddled up on the doorstep of his bike repair shop. Once he learns Dez is after her, he steps up to protect her, taking her to his home. The sexual attraction between them burns red hot, but Colt won’t take her to bed until she understands he’s playing for keeps. Mia struggles over the decision to become part of the biker club family, but ultimately let’s her heart lead her and becomes Colt’s Old Lady.
When things with Dev take a turn for the worse & her world is turned upside down, will Mia have the strength to save her man & this new family she’s come to love as her own flesh & blood?
I’m not typically a big fan of the biker club romances. It always bothers me about the big parties with all the club groupies and how a lot of the married guys fool around on their wives. HOWEVER this book skimmed over those things (think goodness)! The H was so committed to the h. I loved how he was all in and made it known. This book had great suspense and was a super easy read!!
I loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. I was ugly crying in this book. I can’t get over everything they went through in this book. I love Emma Slates books. Thank you so much for what you do!
For some reason this book reminded me of another book, but I can’t for the life of me remember what that book is. This one had great characters, an okay plot, nice sexytimez. I say okay plot because when serious drug cartels get involved in a skirmish between comparatively small MCs, all plausibility is lost to me. I can overlook a ton of untruths that make MC romance fun to read, but mexican drug cartels? Ya. No. It was a bit long with a ton of “should I make a life with this man? He’s a criminal….” blah blah blah. Book would have been so much better if a third of that inner dialogue hit the editing room floor.
