I never expected to fall for a younger woman, but she’s all I think about. She knows how much I want her, too. That’s why the beautiful tease is trying her best to break me. Like being caught in the riptide, she’s impossible to resist. And no matter how hard I try, I can’t stay away. She’s completely wrecked me.This is an older man/younger woman standalone romance with a HEA.
3.5 Stars
This was an OK story for me. The story and how the characters unfolded were good, it was just really hard for me to put myself in their place and like them.
I received this book as a ARC for my honest review.I read it in one setting. I loved it could not put it down.. Riley and Brody story was a fun sexy read. There a twenty years different between them but it works out for them. I know it can work because I’m twenty years younger than my husband. I think you will like it.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
If I wasn’t already a huge fan of Lane’s work, I would be now. This story was just perfect. From the forbidden lust, to the very sweetest HEA – this book gave me all the feels. An absolutely jammed packed, deliciously dirty read that will leave you wanting your own Brody.

5*
Riley meets Brody when she joins Cheryl at her friend Alison dads beach house. Alison hates Riley as she thinks college rumours are true!
Brody has an awkward relationship with his daughter Alison holding a grudge from her childhood.
I loved that the story wasn’t straight forward that there were complications to overcome. The chemistry between Brody & Riley was great. Will they be able to get over the complications faced through age & expectations?
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Overcoming obstacles
Riley, a recent college graduate, joins her friend and others for a week at a beach only to stumble upon the most handsome man she had ever laid eyes on. Little does she know that the man is her friend (NOT a friend at all) Sara’s father. Brody is instantly attracted to the beautiful Riley, but fears the 20 year age difference and the fact that his daughter does not like Riley, to be a deterrent to any relationship that may come to pass.
Riley has been though more than most women her age and fears rejection and judgement from others. After having to deal with something that no woman should ever have to contend with, Riley hides the truth and the pain behind her flirtatious attitude and carefully constructed defenses.
When given time alone, Riley and Brody come together and realize that they are more compatible than originally thought, but fears of Riley’s damaged past, Sara’s anger towards Riley, and distance will never allow for a relationship to develop.
This beautifully written story by Lane Hart gives you hope for the future, release from the past and a chance at redemption. Brody and Riley must go through some difficult hurdles to find their Happily Ever After, but time, honesty and family makes this story a must read.
I really enjoyed reading this book. Lane did an amazing job with this story
Lane Hart is one of the best at mastering the emotions of young women in their early to mid 20’s. This is another really good love story from her but with the twist with the older man and quite a bit older I might add! Riley heads for a week at the beach house with friends and a frenemy named Sara to celebrate after college graduation. Sara’s father has a house on the beach and she didn’t expect him to be there to put a damper in their week of fun but her father Brody was just to happy to be able to spend time with her. What Brody never expected was to be completely attracted to her friend. He’s a successful 42 year old divorced photographer that lives a good life although not complete. Riley may be beautiful and fun loving on the outside but she has a tragic story that few know and she keeps tightly contained. I really enjoyed these two together because age differences aside, they are truly kindred spirits that belong together. People always say age is just a number and I truly believe that. Wreck Me will make you hot, laugh, cry, blush and give you a great story to curl up and read!
wasn’t sure I was going to give this book above a 3 star rating in all honesty, I was stuck on a 40 something man bedding his 22 year old daughter’s 22 year old classmate ( even though they weren’t friends- just having common friends)… the 20 year age difference really ate at me for probably half of this book!
This girl, she had such a bad reputation, then beds the dad within days of vacationing at his home — doesn’t really help said reputation…
But I don’t know, something about them turned me, maybe it’s what he did when he disappeared all night THAT night, I don’t really know, but in the end I hoped they would overcome the obstacles in their way and find a way to be together.
The chemistry they shared was hot! But when he through her loop because he wanted to “make love to her” OMG… swoon… I mean yeah, it definatly showed a difference from the boys she’d been with from the man he is!!
Lane Hart, another well written book, wish I could have been more on board with the age thing….
Brody and Riley!
Lane Hart has once again given us the readers characters that we can not help but love.
Our sassy Riley is joining her friends for a week vacation at the beach. So most of the girls are her friends but a few hold judgement due to rumors back at college. She is not going to let this ruin a fabulous week at the beach to celebrate graduation.
Brody hasn’t seen his daughter much over the last twenty something years. His marriage ended his ex wife took their daughter and moved and since money was tight that left Brody paying child support and keeping in contact by phone. He was more than excited to hear that his daughter wanted to visit his beach house and bring her friends! Now that you know where this little story is leading ..get ready!
Riley is in aww of the view that this home has provided and oh my her eyes have just landed on one of the most sexy, handsome distinguished men she has ever seen! Yes he looks a bit older than her 20 something age ! Oh my he is looking at them ….wait is he making his way toward the house and waving????
This week just got a bit more interesting . Riley starts playing this as a game. Casual flirting, innocent interest sexual innuendos but soon realizes that she may be in over her head ! Brody has spent these years casually dating never finding the one with whom he truly connects .
Brody just wants to find that someone ..he just may be surprised when he does !!
Loved it !!

Brody has been alone for too long, and since his marriage ended in his early twenties, he’s built walls around his heart. His daughter Sarah, with whom he has a difficult relationship, brings three college friends to his beach house for a summer break.
If the rumours about her reputation (that Sarah is convinced are true) are to be believed, Riley certainly lives up to them as she flirts, tempts and teases the gorgeous Brody from the very beginning. Despite his better judgement, he gives in to their attraction and they share a “one off” passionate but secret night. However, there is a lot more to Riley then is evident at first. She’s been through hell and as the truth starts to come out, it’s obvious that there is more depth and feeling to Brody and Riley’s relationship.
The path to true love is never smooth, especially when the girl is young enough to be the guys daughter. I’ve read books with big age gaps where the older man comes across as a bit creepy, stalker like. This is definitely not the case in Wreck Me, the relationship between Brody and Riley is believable and heartfelt and I was rooting for them to figure out how to be together publicly and not drive his daughter away.
This is my first book by Lane Hart and I really enjoyed it. It was an easy, smooth, well written read, there was lots of chemistry between the two main characters and a best friend you’d really want as yours, I’ll definitely be reading more by this author. Many thanks for the arc I received
Oh my gawd! I absolutely loved this book! I enjoy an older man, younger woman story but it’s so hard to find a good one that doesn’t annoy me in some way. Wreck Me was perfect! These characters were wonderful together. The issues they had were dealt with in a manner that was completely believable.
I struggled with Riley just a tad bit at first but after getting some of her background my heart went out to her. I was happy that she had Brody to come along and help show her what her true worth was. The relationship between Brody and his daughter was a nice secondary storyline as well. Each of the characters in this book evolved and grew as they were faced with expected and unexpected life decisions.
I first thought this was just going to be a sexy romp but it quickly became so much more. This was a fast paced, well written, sexy read that has me wondering why the heck I haven’t read this author before.
While the older man/younger woman is usually not a sub-genre that I read, this was tastefully written. I’ll be reading more by this author.
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
Riley just graduated college and is going on a road trip to a beach house with her friends. Well one of them isn’t really her friend. Sara doesn’t like Riley at all. She thinks that Riley is east and sleeps with everyone, including a guy that she was after. Brody was Sara’s dad. When his wife left him and took their daughter she moved all the way to the other side of the country. So Brody and Sara has had a very strained relationship.
Sleeping with his daughter’s “friend” will not score him any points in the dad department while trying to repair a damaged relationship. But he finds that he can’t stay away from Riley even if he wants to (not that he REALLY wants to). Riley has had a difficult time with men in the recent past. She has made herself believe that she is just as easy as Sara thinks she is, even though the way she got that reputation isn’t quite the way the rumors made it out to be. So when she first starts this thing with Brody she is trying to wash out the bad taste the last guy(s) left behind. She sure didn’t want to fall for him. He would have to choose between her and Sara, and not only did she not want to hear the answer to that, but she would never have even asked it of him.
So what happens? After the week is up, the 4 girls leave. Brody stays there wondering if he just made the biggest mistake of his life while Riley goes back to try to start her life post-college while nursing a broken heart. After a couple months of both parties feeling heart broken, they end up getting back together and decide that they are going to give a relationship a shot and just not tell Sara anything…… and so the story goes.
I was absolutely hooked into this book from the very beginning! There is no time wasted on getting into the hot stuff. There are some very deep issues addressed in this story. I never felt like the relationship was creepy or sick because of their age difference. I immediately fell in love with Riley and Brody. It had me feeling sad, then happy, then shocked, then sad again, then ending with an ending so happy that I cried to the point of needing some Kleenex! (and I still have Tom Petty songs on a loop in my head).
Let me start off by saying that this book Wrecked Me in the best possible way! Lane’s words are pure magic they captivate you, pull you into the story and hold you hostage until the very end! Brody and Riley’s story has plenty of ups and downs but the chemistry between the two of them was sexy, sinful and hot as hell so be prepared to be burning up the pages because this read is a scorcher! This is a definite 5 star must read!
Omg, Lane is becoming one of my favorite authors. This book was hot. I’m not much into OM/YW stories but wow…I really loved this one. Riley and Brody are freaking hot together. The only one I didn’t like was Sara. When you read this, you’ll see why. I highly recommend everyone to read this book. It’s that good. Another great read Lane!
I really had high hopes for this book and the best way I can describe this book is underwhelming?? Age gap romances are my thing, but they must be beyond good for me to really dig them. This one just let me down until about 60% in. The end was the best part of the book because I felt like this story was super rushed. Not judging. It just was not for me.
Twenty-year age gap, younger woman, and hot older man. They go at it like rabbits then they part, a few weeks later they are back together, insert a bit of drama and finally you get your HEA. No angst and plenty of heat this could be the story you have been looking for. The more I read the more critical I become so try it! It can’t hurt.
Enjoyed the story and the author’s writing style. I especially liked the main characters perhaps due to the similarities to my own 40 year relationship with my quite a bit older husband. Good read!
Was surprised by the age gap between older man and younger woman when I began reading this book.
Didn’t like it at all
Hard to like the main character-not enough development-couldn’t relate-was rushed
