I never expected to fall for a younger woman, but she’s all I think about. She knows how much I want her, too. That’s why the beautiful tease is trying her best to break me. Like being caught in the riptide, she’s impossible to resist. And no matter how hard I try, I can’t stay away. She’s completely wrecked me.This is an older man/younger woman standalone romance with a HEA.
This was a well written book, with an emotional storyline that was hard to put it down. The characters were well developed and l really enjoyed reading this book.
Reilly(female lead)is rumored to be the college slut.
On a weeks vacation to the ocean; she drools over a guy walking slowly out of the water; turns out, he’s the father of Reilly’s enemy – who is also on vacation….in the same house!
Reilly and Brody attempt to keep the relationship secret but Reilly ends up pregnant and Brody’s daughter is not the happy big sister to be, especially when she finds out who is pregnant.
Reilly and Sara(Brody’s daughter)disagreement stems from Sara believing Reilly slept with a guy Sara was interested in; it finally comes he raped Reilly and several other girls at school.
The baby is born and his name is Thomas.
Tom Petty fans will love this; several beach houses are named after Petty’s songs and the baby is welcomed into his loving family.
Two vulnerable people set to be soul-mates.
Loved this book by Lane Hart. Very entertaining.
Four girls on a vacation go to a beach house that is owned by one of the girl’s father who happens to be a well known photographer and a sexy, hot man. That is Brody. His daughter is Sara who has no relationship with him because she feels he abandoned her as a child when his wife called their marriage quits because something was missing. But they did remain friends. He is guilty that he couldn’t be there for his daughter but he did everything he could. He worked hard to send child support which left him unable to do anything else. He carries the hardship with him every day.
The three other girls that accompanied Sara to the beach only two of them are friends of hers. The third girl, Riley, was only invited because of her good friend Cheryl who happens to be good friends with Sara.
Riley notices that sexy, hot man coming out of the water and is shocked to find out that he is Sara’s father. She isn’t shy to flirt with him. Brody notices her too but tries to ignore that he is attracted to her because of a twenty year age difference. There are some funny things that you can’t help but laugh at and enjoy the hardship.
Riley unfortunately has her own nightmares that follow her and leave her with a low self worth. So she is catapulted into seeking and teasing Brody since she is attracted to him and can sense something from him.
This book is so intriguing, where you have the two main characters that you really like and Sara is pretty much be an adult brat that shouldn’t be treated with kid gloves.
Allison is pretty much just an extra that follows Sara around. Cheryl is Riley’s best friend and roommate and depends on her. Riley’s life hasn’t been easy but she put herself through school with no help from her mother whom she is not close to.
Riley did some fast growing up after an incident a few months before that vacation. Something that shouldn’t happen to any girl.
The story, while not just a simple fall in love and live happily ever after, is a very good learning experience one to read. I know that I’ll read it again as a favorite. Definitely recommend this book.

I fell in love with Brody from the start. He meets the Riley when she comes to his house on the beach with his daughter Sara. He wants to fix his relationship with his daughter. He cannot ignore the flirtatious Riley. They finally both give in and realize there is something more than great sex. Even with the age difference, they have a lot in common. Riley leaves after her week vacation with a broken heart. But, they end up back together and decide to give their relationship a serious try. I received the book free and voluntarily left a review. I recommend this book and all books by Lane Hart!
I absolutely loved this book. The first chapter or so had me worried that Riley was just going to trick Brody into hot sex just for the sake of hot sex (lol). But there was so much more to this story. There was so much depth here, and I really ended up loving Riley and admiring her for all that she had endured and survived, and Brody finally won my full approval with his treatment of Riley.
I volunteered to review an arc of this book and I am really glad that I did. Lane Hart has written a book with intense feelings and depth, and I would highly recommend it.
Hot taboo story, older man/younger woman; daughter’s ‘friend’.
Brody is trying to heal his estranged relationship with his daughter Sara. She invites a few of her friends to his home for a short vacation after college where he finds himself attracted to her least favorite friend, Riley.
Riley has had a rough history. She’s strong, smart, sensual, and bold with her feelings for Brody.
This was a super over the top hot and steamy story. The elements of this forbidden romance created intense situations with graphic scenes. The chemistry between them were palpable.
Brody doesn’t have that ‘ick’ factor, if anything, Riley is the one who goes after him.
Interesting that this has a storyline that keeps the reader interested, it’s not just sex.
If you like this genre, you will love this one! Well written, no cheating, no cliffys, and a great HEA.
I received an ARC for a voluntary and honest review.
This fantastic story features Riley Yates and Brody Harrington. My heart aches for Riley. She’s been through so much and had such a low opinion of herself but at the same time a little of who she was before the incident shines through. She need someone as self-assured as Brody. The age difference was a little more complicated for Brody than for Riley.
The beauty of this older man, younger woman story shines with the talent of this amazing author. When I got to the last page I actually felt emotionally satisfied. Great story that’s worth every one of those five stars and more.
I’ve become a big fan of Lane Hart. Once again, I loved her story she gave us. Lots of emotions, characters you love, and a story you just fly through. I don’t want to give anything away, so I’m kinda leaving you hanging here lol. I Loved It. And you will too.
A very believable story with great characters!
Very entertaining romance by Lane Hart. I rarely read older man/younger woman romances but I liked this one. I couldn’t put it down, read it in one sitting. I liked both characters and how their emotions evolved. It was lovely to read how they both realised they found their soulmates in each other despite all the problems their age difference stirred.
A sweet and very complicated romance. Riley and Brody have to deal with drama and obstacles when their relationship becomes serious. Mainly Brody’s daughter who already dislikes Riley. One of the better older man/ younger woman romances I have read lately. Loved that it was a longer story than many others I have read with the same type of theme, (older/younger). A very well done story which I thoroughly enjoyed.
This was a five star older man, younger woman romance. Another winner from Lane Hart. No shortage of drama, suspense or life situations. Brody’s an alpha older male who has been divorced for twenty years and has a strained relationship with his college age daughter. He tries to connect with her by hosting her and several friends at his beach house. He never thought he would fall for one of her friends. No spoiler here but lots of angst and drama, but finally an HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. This is my favorite Lane Hart book.
Older man younger woman short steamy stand alone with HEA. Riley is tagging along with her college roommate and her roommate’s friends for a fun beach weekend after college graduation. They are staying Susan’s dad’s beach house. Susan does not like Riley and at first, and you are not sure why and even question Riley’s behavior towards Susan’s dad. There is an attraction between Riley and Susan’s dad but Brody is only interested in spending time with his daughter whom he hasn’t spent much time with while she was growing up. Sad date rape drug back story and the guilt remains with Riley and she continues to blame herself. I enjoyed this story and was happy with the HEA.
loved this! the older man; younger woman storyline is awesome! can’t wait to see what Lane writes next!
I really enjoyed this book, there was more than just a budding romance between Brody and Riley happening. Riley’s been struggling with the reputation she’s unfairly earned while attending university, and she doesn’t think she deserves the happiness she wants and needs when it comes to a relationship. I really appreciated that Brody isn’t the typical manwhore that are running rampant in the romance world currently. He really wants to connect with his daughter during her visit, but of course she wants nothing to do with him, which I thought she was acting like a 4 year old spoiled brat. I can certainly understand her anger, and I was so glad that Brody finally set her straight about what happened between him and her mother all those years prior.
The chemistry between Riley and Brody is electric right from the start, although Brody does try to maintain a respectful distance at the start. It’s obvious how much they care about each other, especially the way Brody handles the issue from Riley’s past. I was wondering what was going to the issue that would come between Riley and Brody and cause them to separate, and I was glad to know it wasn’t the obvious reason what came between them. I like how the story wrapped up for Brody and Riley, and even for Brody and his daughter. Another fantastic book from Ms. Hart!
Well, this was more than just an older man/ younger woman falling in love. Sadness permiates throughout this story. My heart is sad for untold women who’s voices never get justice. But there is a happy ever after.

Riley has been through something horrible that has left her damaged and with low self worth. Brody is 20 years her senior and has been unlucky, if not reluctant, to find love after his first marriage ended. Yes, Riley is forbidden fruit and she seems to be looking for trouble by seducing Brody. The two of them together nearly set my kindle on fire! Brody’s reaction and actions after learning about what happened to Riley simultaneously melted my heart and made me hot! Absolutely LOVED the epilogue. My favorite books are the ones that allow me to connect with the characters while also giving me a physical reaction. I shed a few tears, laughed, and felt utter satisfaction when there was some vigilante justice. This book will definitely be added to my favorites list and be read again!
I was so very fortunate to volunteer to review an Advance Reader Copy. This review is my honest, personal opinion.
What a wonderful love story .. this book clearly shows that you can not always choose who you fall for .. age is only a number and as long as you’re happy, everyone has to accept that. The chemistry is very good and the click between the main characters is great. Wonderfully hot scenes and a bit of drama complete the book. 5 stars from me.

Wreck me by Lane Hart a heart wrecking five-star read. This was such a powerful read, I have read more books by Lane Hart in the last few months that most authors I have read in all my years on this earth, and I plan to have them all read before the year is out. This book may be my new fave and it may just kick Trick of the top spot. (My previous favourite by this author and joint favourite read ever). If this wasn’t a stand-alone It would be a definite favourite as I could read more about the characters in this book, the main couple Riley Yates and Mr Brody Harrington are amazing but so are the secondary characters like Riley’s best friend Cheryl and her other friend who happens to be Mr Harrington’s daughter Sara. She is not my favourite character at the start despite being my namesake. But you can kind of see where Sara is coming from so I liked that, I liked how everything wasn’t laid out fully to everyone just to make like easier. It made the story real and more dramatic.
My favourite quote of the book made me think of the author, the way the characters talk about Mr Harrington’s pictures is the way I feel about how Lane Hart creates words on a page. ‘I don’t just capture images, that I put my heart and soul into them. I would like to think that’s true, that I treat each subject like they’re the centre of my universe.’
This is an older man younger woman romance so not everyone will like it, but it’s a great read, and the level of heat is good, not ott and every other page, but there when you need it and it feels right. All I can say is thank you Lane Hart for once again writing an amazing story, and keep up the good work.
I really enjoyed this book. I typically am not a fan of this big of an age difference but I really felt the connection between Brody and Riley. Riley was friend of a friend of Brody’s daughter just graduated from college visiting for a week at his beach house. I loved the tension, how they had to hide it and of course what happened in the end. I have actually quite a few of my favorite spots bookmarked that I reread. Yes there is sex in this book. I highly recommend.
