This one is just as good as the first book. So we have Havoc who is trying to get his life back on track. He has a temper that can get out of control and so he is trying to find something else to help keep him calm. He is a good guy and will protect those in need. Then we have Julia and she comes from a high class family. She no longer wants to play their games in their social society. She is wanting to start over and not deal with her family or her ex. Her sister is getting married and she needs to find a date. Luckily the fates decided to have Havoc cross her path. Now their relationship starts off rocky. In this book there are a lot of mind games, mystery, hate issues. When Julia’s past comes back will she have someone in her corner to help her. She doesn’t trust easy and will push people away due to how she grew up. Things heat up and get dangerous. Will Havoc and Julia get to have a chance of happily ever after. You need to read it to find out.
Havoc and Jules will have you on the edge of your seat in this exciting MC story. Jules is one year off of a divorce and bracing herself for her sister’s wedding because her ex will be there. When Havoc shows up at her store is it a coincidence or fate because she and her sister were just talking about him. Her antics got her a date with him to her sister’s wedding and the start of their journey that brings them full circle at the wedding of his MC brother Link. I thoroughly enjoyed the suspense and drama of this story and the caliber of character the Jules was. She took her fate into her own hands and didn’t give an inch to her ex or family!
After meeting Havoc while he was im jail on attempted murder charges, in Link’d Up, I knew that that would take a hell of a woman to be his perfect match.
That’s exactly what he finds here when he goes to bookstore to find out why his flowers keep dying. The bookstore owner, Julia, had left behind her life of privilege and manipulation after she found out her husband was cheating on her.
In no way is she meek and mild mannered which you may pressume when you read walked away but that was after taking a shot gun to her Ex. Only the kick back and her poor aim stopped it from being attempted murder and him alive.
With her sister getting married she is about to be thrown into her old life and circle of friends Julia is I need of a date who won’t let her walk all over him. So she invites Havoc as her plus one and offers to have her parents gardener help with his gardening in return.
I loved the fact Julia shot her ex husband rather than just allowing him to walk all over her like other privileged young women around her would have. However, she does seem to say more about her violent history than anything else and at parts did start to get on my nerves.
Havoc only just few months out of jail seems to not think through going to a wedding where the guests ran in the same circle as the rapist he attacked which to me seems quick sure way to get into trouble. I also like that even after Julia gives him silent treatment that he doesn’t just walk away.
Julia’s Ex husband is definitely creepy and deserves to be shot but I’m not sure how despite being very intelligent that she didn’t at least see some of his bad traits before she did.
All in all I didn’t have the same love for it as first book but certainly won’t put me off from reading the rest in the series.
I was impressed with the first Dead Presidents MC book. Mature adult characters with a mutual, off-the-chart-molten-hot attraction and a riveting plot. It wasn’t long before I gave into temptation and started Havoc’s book. I was blown away; talk about stunning! Julia and Havoc don’t look like they would work on paper but they are truly meant for each other. I couldn’t put it down, I had a ton of stuff I needed to do and I just couldn’t tear myself away until I turned the last page. Stunning chemistry, adults with flaws that want to be together and work hard to make it so. I am in total love with this series! Harley Stone has so much talent, she seriously rocks! I am so stoked that I bought all her books already so I can binge to my heart’s content. 10 stars for Wreaking Havoc!
Love this series!
