All I see is red.Blood.Pain.Rage.It consumes me.The moment he took her, wrath invaded my soul.I only have one purpose. End him and take back what’s mine. Love isn’t always clean, and wrath is the deadliest sin. Wrath is the first book in The Deadliest Sin series about organized crime in Philly and Chicago. This series is best read in order beacuse the stories occur chronologically and each sin … in order beacuse the stories occur chronologically and each sin builds on the events of the previous one.

Blood, torture, revenge oh my!
Ever had one of the books, that you start on a Friday evening hoping to unwind but completely flips your world upside down to the point you are PMing the author? This is that book and yes, I PM’d the hell out of Gwyn McNamee that Friday night!
For those that know me, I love me some dark and dirty! The more twisted the better in my book! I got my wish because this is some bloody messed up shit! Jade and Griffin (Rea and Konstadin) have given up their identities and family for love. However, a psycho is looking for them with a single-minded focus of vengeance and revenge. For a novella, this book sure does pack a punch!
If you like blood, guts, torture and payback this book is for you! You want two characters who love each other with all their hearts…this book is for you. Want an ending that’s gonna cause you to rage, yell, and potentially tell the author you hate her…this book is for you.
I recommend and am off to read book 2!
Wrath (The Deadliest Sin Series Book 1)
By: Gwyn McNamee
5 out of 5 stars
The story Wrath (The Deadliest Sin Series Book 1) by Gwyn McNamee is a book that is fast-paced and a thrilling read. It is a story that is dark, powerful, and includes raw emotions. It is a book that I finished in one sitting. I just couldn’t put it down. The story was written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with the characters. This is an author who did an amazing job in making the characters and storyline come alive. It is a book that had my heart pounding and took my breath away while reading. There is intense and emotional dialogue. I couldn’t help but feel for the main character. This is a story that I would highly recommend reading. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Not your typical romance and definitely no HEA…yet anyway. Short, quick read, but full of steam and suspense and intrigue. I have way many more sins to go through but so far, I’m loving Konstantine and Rea.
Wow! You talk about being slammed right into a story and being held prisoner then you must read “Wrath” This well written story was so intense and the love and chemistry between Jade and Griffin kept me turning the pages in a furious pace because I couldn’t wait to see what was waiting beyond the page I was reading! Kudos to Gwyn McNamee, I can’t wait to read what this author writes next!
Raw, gritty, dark and all the good things in between. Devour this series and fall in love with Gwyn’s writing and brilliant mind!
Damn….This book was so good! It has the perfect amount of suspense and love. It is a little dark but I loved it. On to book 2!!
Mad it took me so long to finally read this book, but rectifying that now! Freaking equally in love and fear of Konstandin and the lengths he would go for Jade/Rea. Can’t end like this so now I’m on to the next book in the timeline :).
Wrath is the first novel in the Deadliest Sins series. This is my tenth novel by this author.
Initially reading this, I felt like there some other part of the story that I had missed. The main characters had already fled and were trying to rebuild their lives but I wasn’t sure what had happened to them before.
Continuing to read, it didn’t matter what I missed. The story gave me flashbacks and bits of information to put some pieces together though not a full picture.
When his women is taken, Konstandin risks everything to rescue her even if it meant his own life.
I love this author and I will happily read everything she writes.
Wow! I knew going in that this story would be awesome. Every book I’ve read by Gwyn has been and this certainly did not disappoint! This book is a quick read that you won’t put down from page one to the end! It’s definitely NOT your typical happy ending love story but it WILL make you travel through the vast array of human emotions! It’s violent and bloody and a spectacular example of what we are capable of, and what we are willing to sacrifice, in an effort to keep our loved ones safe. I fell in love with these characters. Even after I finished the book, the feelings just simmered in my chest. That anyone could love another person this much… Go ahead and grab this one! You won’t be disappointed. You will possibly go into shock, but won’t be disappointed at all!

Wrath is the first book in The Deadliest Sin Series by Gwyn McNamee. This is about the fourth time I’ve read this book and I love it just as much as I did the first time it blew me away. This might be a short story, but it packs quite a punch. It is dark, erotic, raw, bloody, brutal, and action-packed. It is such a short read, and because quite a lot happens in such a short amount of time- reading this book was like being shot out of a cannon; flinging me into a heart pounding ride while I hung on for dear life, with all my senses on high alert…. And I loved every single second!!!
Wrath is the deadliest sin, and this story/series explores how wrath can consume a person- and what they are capable of while in its grip. The story is full of passion, destruction, violence, insanity, festering hate, suspense, and revenge.
Gwyn McNamee is one of my favourite authors, who can take any genre and deliver something that will completely enthrall me, every time. She’s such a brilliant storyteller, capturing my attention within moments of starting any of her stories and then taking me on a ride that will stay with me long after I’ve closed the book. This story is no different- and I especially loved how she worked and moulded the darkness of the theme. I think she wears darkness beautifully and this book/series is definitely one of my favourites of hers- ever. I would love to read more ‘dark’ stories from her in the future.
Because the story is so short, it would be easy to spoil it for you by going into any detail- so I’m not going to explore any of the storyline here- I recommend diving in and letting Gwyn McNamee and the story blow you away.
One of the best things about this series, for anyone who hasn’t read it yet, is that all the books are available to read right now- so no waiting between books!!! #WINNING
Just Brilliant!
Thank you, Gwyn McNamee!
“My self…the one who had absolutely everything he could ever want and also nothing.”
Some books touch you in ways you just don’t expect. McNamee writes this way. Wrath, even though it is a dark twisted story, touches you with the loneliness, the anger, and even the hope.
This story is full of violence. Detailed, graphic, violence. Wrath by definition means extreme anger. When faced with losing Jade, Griffin experiences wrath. How he uses that anger is what turns this book into such a twisted story. McNamee loves to add unforeseen plot twists. I so totally did not see all the twists which made this story so exciting to read and kept me turning page after page.
This story also has hot steamy sex. “Absolute. Total. Bliss.” Before too many of the twists start happening, Jade and Griffin, who is also known as Rea and Konstandin, love each other as strongly as two people possibly could. Their sex is off the charts hot!
McNamee also includes many secondary characters that will undoubtedly show up in later books. Books that I will read as soon as humanly possible.
This is a new to me author and one I wish I’d read sooner as this book was everything I love reading. It was dark, it was gritty, it has outcomes you won’t guess, I could go on but don’t want to ruin the experience.
Cannot wait to dive into book 2.
This is a quick, dark novella. Griff and Jade are in hiding. They are discovered and taken. Griff needs to save jade and goes to great lengths to make sure the woman he loves is safe. It is filled with action and is fast paced. It kept me reading and I could not put it down.
Wrath (The Deadliest Sin Series Book 1) by Gwyn McNamee. HOLY MOLY! This is a book that when you pick it up you better buckle up and hold on. You will read it to the end without breathing. Its a short book ( The only bad thing about it) and the story of Jade & Griffin. Griffin is so swept up with Jade that he changes his whole being to be the man for her. Griffin grew up only knowing torture, pain, cruelty and death so turning into a good man for Jade is against everything Griffin knows. When Jade is kidnapped that dark side of Griffin comes out and he will do whatever it takes to get her back and make the person pay who has hurt her. I can’t wait for Book 2. Read Wrath, you won’t be disappointed!
Wow, I knew Wrath is one of the seven deadly sins but Gwyn McNamee put it to a new level of deadly sin with her story Wrath. Her writing style consumed me from the beginning. Her characters and plot line kept me engaged and left me wanting more. The story is a fast read, but do not go too fast otherwise you may not see the whole picture. Can you define the line between love and hate? Will you feel what Griffen and Jade have for each other or will wrath keep them apart?
Wrath by Gwyn McNamee
Five Stars
Wrath is the first book in the Deadliest Sin Series by Gwyn McNamee. This short novella is different from any other book that I have read by Ms. McNamee. This dark and dangerous romance had me hooked from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until the last. This book started and ended with love, but everything in the middle was ruled by vengeance, ruthlessness and revenge. All I’m going to say about this story is, Ms. McNamee is a great bringer of Wrath. I can’t wait to read the next installment of this story.

Wrath by Gwyn McNamee is simply phenomenal! This is the first book in her series titled the Deadliest Sin, a series I can’t wait to continue with. Though this was a quick read I still highly enjoyed it and I couldn’t put it down and I read it in one short sitting. This storyline is dark, action-packed, twisted, steamy and so addicting.
I was truly devastated when I reached the end as I could have continued reading this book for hours. I can’t wait to dive into book 2!

Gwyn McNamee is one of my favourite authors so I was really looking forward to reading Wrath which is book 1 in The Deadliest Sin series and what an opening book it was! It might only be a short read but it was certainly not short on the action! It was a dark and gritty read, a little bloody and gruesome at times but I 100% fell in love with Griff! I loved his devotion to Jade and he wasn’t going to let anyone get in his way along his journey! I loved the two of them together! The pace of the story was fast but it didn’t feel rushed! It was a brilliant read and I am so excited to read the next one in the series! The ending to this one left me with a wide eyed expression and a need to read on! It was definitely not what I was expecting at all!
A fantastic dark and gritty read that I would absolutely 100% recommend!
Wrath by Gwyn McNamee is a short novella, that is definitely not your usual sweet romance story. It is a story that is dark and violent, gritty and a little gruesome but it is enthralling. I know when I read one of Gwyn’s books I am in safe hands. Even though Griff has a dark, dark side I fell in love with him and the woman he loves. Griff was made to kill and torture and really is not a good guy, but that dark and ruthless man disappears when he is with the one thing he love more than anything in the world, Jade. When she is taken from him he will do anything to get her back even if that means he leaves destruction in his path and takes out the one person who made him who he is.
The ending broke my heart and I can’t wait for the next installment.
Intense. Thrilling. Action-packed and emotional. Good grief…I think I only just picked my jaw up from the ground and relaxed my grip from the white knuckled ride I just endured. McNamee is a brilliant author that continues to surprise and delight me with every book I am blessed to read from her. Truthfully just an intense and emotionally raw journey that felt much larger than the number of pages of the book. Masterful, powerful, worthy of a second and third reading as quickly as possible. Just loved it.
