It’s love. Trust me.After a lifetime on the move, Ivy Snow is an expert in all things temporary—schools, friends, and way too many Mr. Wrongs. Now that she owns a successful taco truck in San Francisco and an apartment to call home, Ivy’s reinvented life is on solid ground. And she’s guarded against anything that can rock it. Like the realities of a past she’s worked hard to cover up. And … worked hard to cover up. And especially Kel O’Donnell. Too hot not to set off alarms, he screams temporary. If only his whispers weren’t so delightfully naughty and irresistible.
Kel, an Idaho sheriff and ranch owner, is on vacay, but Ivy’s a spicy reason to give his short-term plans a second thought. Best of all, she’s a tonic for his untrusting heart, burned once and still in repair. But when Ivy’s past intrudes on a perfect romance, Kel fears that everything she’s told him has been a perfect lie. Now, if only Ivy’s willing to share, Kel will fight for a true love story.

A new Jill Shalvis book is like Christmas – I can’t wait to unwrap my new present! Another winner with Wrapped up in You – funny and romantic.
When it comes to warm, witty romance Jill Shalvis is just the best
Jill Shalvis is one of my favorites. I’ve been reading holiday books by her for a long time and this one is just as amazing as all the rest. I loved Ivy and watching her fall for Kel. And as usual, Jill writes the sexiest heroes ever. Go read this book now!
Loved this story – and Kel and Ivy. I first read about Kel in another series of the author’s and it was so great to finally read his story. Both these characters have pasts that they’d rather not deal with but their relationship makes them crash land right smack dab in the middle of their families and “issues”. Totally loved this book. It had great friends, a feisty heroine, a swoon worthy hero and an amazing setting. I loved Ivy – she was so in need of someone to show her she was worth the work of earning their affection and Kel needed to know he was loved. The two of them together were perfect. Amazing!
Jill Shalvis never disappoints and always delivers the humor and heart along with the sexy. Ivy is that perfect combination of spunk and determination. Kel is the hero who has her back. Though trust isn’t easy for either of them, they can’t deny the overwhelming attraction. This was an early Christmas treat!
It was love at first taco. Kel tried Ivy’s five alarm tacos from her taco truck and loved them. He was interested in Ivy then and there. Ivy thought Kel was very hot but his stance told her he was a cop. Ivy hated cops. Ivy had a very hard childhood and life so far. She and her brother were always on the run from cops while just trying to survive. Kel’s mom walked out on Kel and his sister. Both Ivy and Kel have trust issues and walls built around their hearts. What I loved about Kel is he found everything Ivy said funny. I ask you, what is better than that? This book is so good you won’t want to stop reading it. If this is your first Jill Shalvis book, you will find yourself buying all the rest!
I received this ARC book in exchange for an honest review.
4.75 Stars
We’re back in Jill Shalvis’ San Francisco world.
That beautiful house with all those businesses and the ‘magical’ fountain in the courtyard.
And for a year now, there’s also been Ivy’s taco truck.
Ivy loves running her little movable restaurant. She never stayed anywhere for long. Never had any friends. Never trusted anyone.
But now there are people who care. And there’s also Kel – the hot visiting cousin of a friend. A cop/rancher from Idaho.
And he keeps showing up whenever she needs him. Constantly flirting and looking too deep into her soul. There are things she doesn’t want him to see ….
Kel had to leave Idaho for a while – after a job went wrong and he got hurt pretty badly.
Things in San Francisco look pretty interesting so far …
Ugh! I just love Jill Shalvis stories. This series is sooo adorable!
Such a beautiful city. This amazing building with all its unique residents.
Just perfect.
This was another sweet and sexy and heartbreaking love story.
Ivy didn’t have the best life growing up and her brother is not always on the right side of the law….
And Kel – getting hurt on the job sucked. But having your heart broken is even worse – that’s why he’s not really interested in ever giving it away … But Ivy is making it really hard!
Adorable those two.
I loved their story. Sweet, funny, adorable, exciting, mysterious, moving.
Great romance! I hope this series never ends!!!!
And I really need a taco now!
WRAPPED UP IN YOU was another adorable and sweet and sexy and moving romance! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Kel – this one is MINE!
ARC received for an honest review.
Gah, I just love getting back to Heartbreaker Bay! I just adore every single thing about the people in this series.
I love how the Pacific Pier extended family keeps growing, and we have more lovelies to fall in love with. So Ms Shalvis will just have to keep writing this series forever!
Ivy and Kel’s backgrounds are not the easiest to move forward from, though they are a great help for each other. Neither of them wants a relationship, however with Kel always her knight in shining armour, Ivy can’t help falling. I wanted to knock some sense into both of them when they kept avoiding the obvious!
I little bit funny, a little bit sexy, a little bit suspensey, Wrapped Up In You had a little bit of everything, and makes me want to move into the area and be friends with all of them.
I can’t wait to see whom Ms Shalvis brings us next.
I’m not an author so I depended on Roget to lend a hand about this book. AWESOME: amazing, astonishing, astounding, captivating, charming, enchanting, entertaining, enthralling, extraordinary, fabulous, fascinating, FIVE STAR, funny, impressive, incredible, interesting, marvelous, notable, outstanding, phenomenal, remarkable, sassy, sensational, spectacular, stupendous, unique, wonderful……..Well you get the message without the other hundred synonyms. Loved Kel’s story!!!!!
When distrusting hearts fall in love
Ivy has every reason to be guarded and prickly, and when she discovers the undeniable chemistry with vacationing Kel she still holds her cards close to her chest. But Ivy doesn’t take into consideration Kel’s patience and deliberate attention. Despite both dealing with trust issues from their pasts, Ivy and Kel throw their coins in the fountain and wish for love. Of course their road is a rocky one, but it’s filled with so many beautiful moments you can’t help but fall in love with them!
I loved this book. I’ve only read the first book in this series but it could totally be read as a standalone either way. It was like riding a rollercoaster , funny one minute and had you in tears the next . The chemistry between Ivy and Kel was sizzling and you could relate to each of them concerning their situations that are depicted in the book. It has a HEA so all’s well that ends well . I need to catch up on the previous books now because you meet some interesting characters in this one that I’d like to find more about .
I will read anything Jill Shalvis writes. She has marvelous characters, fascinating stories that draw you in and keep your attention. We are in San Francisco with
Ivy Snow who is has pretty much had an unstable life. She has been determined to
change it all, reinvent herself, erase it ALL start over fresh. Meaning not making the
same mistakes. She is doing well, successful taco food truck. Decided to settle down by purchasing a home, a condo. Her childhood was terrible, she left home very
young. Her brother was a mess that never seemed to get it together.
Kel is a Sheriff from Idaho, his sister now married and just had a baby lives in
San Francisco. It feels comfortable to him. He had a challenging childhood like
Ivy did. Discovering these 2people have such similarities-you can see they will
Either close their heart’s off shielding themselves from further harm or looking
for the warm loving soulmate to soothe the soul.
Jill Shalvis never disappoints.
Jill Shalvis does it again. I love the way she writes. She seems to flesh out the characters in such a way, that you feel you really know them. Can’t wait for her next book.
Wrapped Up In You is the eighth in the Heartbreaker Bay series but can be read as a stand alone story. This is Ivy and Kel’s story about overcoming a troublesome childhood and making your own way. Ivy grew up with a single mother who was never around and a brother who was always in trouble. She left at a young age and has moved around until she finally found a place that she wants to call home with friends that she can trust. Kel is on leave from his police job in Idaho after being injured by his corrupt partner. He has trust issues because of his childhood in which his mother cheated on his father and she abandoned him and his sister to his grandparents just after his father passed away. When Kel and Ivy meet, there are sparks and snark to attract. As they explore the attraction, both their pasts come back to interfere with their budding relationship. They both must learn to trust and not allow the past to influence the future. This is a story filled with laughs, a little drama, a little angst and a great love story. The characters are flawed, realistic and relatable. Jill Shalvis is my go to author when I need laughs and escape which can be found in the Heartbreaker Bay series.
Nice Christmas story. Has romance and some suspense.
I love her heartbreak bay series.
I totally loved this book. Kel and Ivy, two strong characters with trust issues. Ivy is independent and Kel is very protective. He will do anything to protect his new love interest. You have great friends, a brother with issues, a feisty heroine and the always over-protective hero A beautiful romantic story that I recommend. Another thumbs up for Jill Shalvis!
I adore this series. Ivy & Kel are great characters and the chemistry between them is off the charts. Another great read!
Ivy has worked for everything she’s ever gotten after leaving home at 16. She is determined to do everything herself, she owns her own food truck and is saving for the down payment to get into her condo. Ivy has a hard time trusting people even those that she considers to be her friends. They are only temporary. That’s what she is used to any way. Until she meets the women of Heartbreaker Bay. They are all just as broken and lost as she is, but they’ve found their way. When they found their man.
Kel has had a hard time in life too. His mom cheated on his dad, sent them to his grandparents after he died and he has been burned by everyone he has trusted. He is a cop and even his partner turned out to be dirty. The first time Kel meets Ivy outside of her taco truck, he is awe struck, befuddled, and knew she was trouble. Kel doesn’t believe he has a right to be happy and have everything, but after he screws everything up, his best friend tells him the way it is and makes him realize he has no reason to go back to Idaho. Everything he needs is in San Francisco. Will his realization be to late, or will Ivy and Kel end up with everything they ever wanted and didn’t know they needed?
What is there to say about a Jill Shalvis book that hasn’t already been said? Jill is one of my favorite authors and I can never get enough of her books. We saw character development in all the characters from the series in this book which its always fun to see characters from other books play a role in new books. There were parts that made me laugh, mad, cry, smile so definitely got to experience all of the emotions.
Loved this book! And I love the whole series!
I’m so glad Ivy got her HEA!
