Wrapped up in Christmas is a heartwarming and moving, sweet story. It is wonderful written. I enjoyed Bodie and Sarah story. They are delightful characters. This is a page turner. It kept my instered through out the story. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
I received a complimentary ARC from the publisher through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are of my own.
Wrapped up in Christmas by Janice Lynn is a nice, relaxing, and romantic Christmas read.
The events that brought Sarah and Bodie together were a long, rough road. The relationship that Sarah and Bodie developed after meeting in her Kentucky hometown due to Bodie wanting to thank the person that made the quilt for him as he was a recently returned and injured veteran, brought a new light into both of their lives.
I enjoyed the complexity of Bodie and I thought that Sarah and Bodie compliment each other quite well and they seemed to bring the best out in each other. I enjoyed knowing that these characters were able to find happiness in this harsh world.
An uplifting read.
4/5 stars
Wrapped Up In Christmas is an uplifting small-town romance from Hallmark Publishing. This is my first book I’ve read by Author Janice Lynn. I enjoyed reading the book and I was impressed with her writing. I was entertained with the storyline and it had its struggles, but it was also relaxing and romantic. I recommend reading Wrapped Up In Christmas, especially during the holiday season.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from NetGalley of this book. This review is one hundred percent my opinion.
This reads just like a Hallmark product should. There is a touch of hidden/mistaken identity, a girl with a heart of gold and the need for help, and a small-town where everybody is in each other’s pockets and acts to help move their love lives along in a positive direction. The plot was sweet and gentle with just the right amount of angst; Sara and Bodie grew into love slowly by learning to appreciate and respect each other as people, but almost lost their chance to be together because neither wanted to assume the other’s feelings were growing in the direction of love. I recommend that you add this to your holiday reading list.
I requested and voluntarily read an advance review copy provided by the publisher via Netgalley. I offer my honest opinion in response.
Recommend this heartwarming holiday romance for your holiday magic.
This book has it all for me! Christmas, Quilting, Romance and a hot Military Man you can’t go wrong with that combo!! This one was a very good read faced paced and heartwarming. It is about a Army Ranger that is hurt during deployment. He is given a handmade quilt to help with is recovery and decides to track down the maker to thank her. He travels to Pine Hill Kentucky where he finds Sarah but instead of letting her know who he is he decides to take a job with her to help her keep her B&B going. Wonderful story about faith love and the healing of Christmas. Loved it.
Quilt of Dreams
Who knew a Quilt of Honor could result in a charming story about bringing 2 people and the Town of Pine Hill together. Janice Lynn has and done so beautifully.
Bodie Lewis was a walking soul in pain and guilt. He was discharged from the Army with serious physical injuries. But he suffered much worse pain with the emotional backlash of his experiences in combat. The one saving grace was when he received a handmade Quilt of Honor and a note of encouragement from a woman that literally saved his will to carry on. His new mission was to find this woman named Sarah and thank her in person. Little did he know that his life would be forever changed after meeting her.
Sarah Smith brightened up the life of everyone she met. She had a luminescence quality about her that touched all around her. That is how Bodie felt immediately when he first meets her. Sarah herself was experiencing a loss, but she never faltered in letting herself give into the sorrow. She kept herself extremely busy so her thoughts would not linger on her sad thoughts. Sarah is such a strong person and I was drawn to her from the start.
This story also has humor in the second characters that appear in this story, namely “The Butterflies” and an adorable dog named Harry. This is a definite read, you will not be disappointed.
Once again Hallmark Publishing has another winner with author Janice Lynn. What a superb Christmas story. A quilt of valor created for a wounded soldier. The soldier on a mission to thank the creator. Instead of thanking her, he signs on as her much needed handyman – at least thru Christmas. Such a heartwarming story. Excellent narrator.
This was a sweet, wonderful Christmas book to listen to. Bodie was a brooding hero who was reeling from the emotional and physical wounds from his military service. Sarah was a kind and caring woman who Bodie felt he wasn’t enough for. Their working relationship grew to friendship and then to more, but would it be possible for them to end up together?
I really enjoyed this story. The author created a wonderful community, full of sweet Christmas traditions and interesting and fun characters.
“Wrapped Up in Christmas” by Janice Lynn narrated by Arielle DeLisle
I loved this sweet clean holiday romance story. A girl of faith and a man whose military career was cut short. Yes, it was mostly a happy fun story even with the losses that each were surviving. And, yes there were the times that my eyes sprung leaks. I am glad I purchased this audiobook. It was a smart buy and a worthy read. p.s. the recipe for the Cinnamon Swirl Bread that is mentioned a time or 2 or 3 in the story is included.
Happy Reading !! (and eating !?!)
This was a really cute book. A quick, easy read. I just love Christmas books, they are always so sweet. I loved the characters in this book and was truly happy for them. I would definitely recommend this book.
This is a totally charming Christmas story about a young woman named Sarah who doesn’t trust easily and a veteran returning from the war who doesn’t trust at all. Bodie received a “Quilt of Valor” from Sarah who lives in the small town of Pine Hill and is first mission when he is healed enough to get around is to go there and thank the woman who gave him back a desire to live. The discovery that the woman who made the quilt is about his age threw Bodie for a loop but he sticks around town to help Sarah do repairs and to claim her dream of having a Bed and Breakfast in memory of her beloved aunt. The story was lovely, with multiple glimpses of how this little town celebrated Christmas and with the very humorous addition of four elderly ladies who are like Sarah’s fairy godmothers. Nicknamed the Butterflies, these ladies also added wisdom to the story, the wisdom that only comes with age and experience. The way the author drew me into the story was with the vet who was hurting so badly that he had lost his purpose in life. There are several bonuses at the end of the book, including a pattern for a Quilt of Valor that anyone can make and donate. I loved this book and think that it is the perfect addition to your holiday to-be-read list because of its heart-warming story and lovable, quirky characters.

I purchased a copy of this book from Amazon and was not required to write a positive review. The opinions expressed are my own.
What a wonderful sweet holiday romance book that has the main protagonists romance develop over the course of the book.
Other warm and whimsical characters share in the plot to get them there.
I purchased and read this book because I got the second in the “Wrapped up” series from Hallmark as an ARC, this one being the first and even thought you don’t have to read in order, I like to.
All in all a great Holiday feel good book.
This is a delightful, heart-warming romance in a small-town between a woman who sews quilts and a former Army Ranger set at Christmas time. This story had me hooked from the beginning because it had quilting, military, Christmas, and a dog. It talked about some of the problems of soldiers returning from deployment and suffering physical and mental pain, but did not delve too deeply into it. Sarah was super sweet, but not so much as to be naïve. The old lady butterflies were a hoot with some of their squabbling and yet so protective. I laughed and I cried. The parts about the Quilts of Valor just squeezed my heart. Because of this book, I bought the book Quilts of Valor: A 50 State Salute. I have seen some of these quilts hanging in a VA hospital so knew about them before reading the book.
I voluntarily read this book from Hallmark Publishing for an honest review.

Repost of my original review at Amazon.com.
Enjoyed the story, recipe and instructions for a quilt with meaning. It’s a sweet story line, a clean read
I love reading Christmas stories, now matter where in the calendar I am. Life is about loss, recovery and new hope. Great Hallmark book that needs to be made into a movie. Wish I could quilt so that I could complete the pattern provided at the end of the book.
Thank you to Hallmark and NetGalley for the chance to read and review.
This was such an entertaining and sweet book. I loved the characters.
This writer came up with a different and possible beginning for this book and builds a sweet romance from there. This reader enjoyed the fact that the author seem to know about the ways people react as well as the processes the characters were involved through the story. It is a very enjoyable read and good for all ages.
Sweet story!
This was a clean and uplifting book. A little slow at times, but some cute and lovable characters. I enjoyed the characters needing each other to fill a void. Both characters were flawed and needed help. Good story.
