Bull riding is all Gavin’s known for years, but when it’s time to retire, he can’t let go of the reckless lifestyle. He finds a job that brings him to a small-town Texas ranch and face-to-face with the woman who snuck out after their one-night stand. She can pretend she’s over him, but he’s not letting her go that easily.Maize Bishop spends her days cooking and baking for her family’s bed and … for her family’s bed and breakfast. The last thing she has time for is a relationship, especially when there are no single men within a hundred-mile radius. When a mysterious newcomer flirts with her over drinks, she gives in to his mesmerizing green eyes and goes home with him.
Now that he works for her family’s ranch, she’ll avoid him at all costs.
There are only so many places to hide, and keeping her distance is easier said than done. After months of giving her space, Gavin’s tired of waiting for Maize to admit what he knows they both want—a second round between the sheets. It may only take eight seconds to win a championship, but he’ll prove to her that he can go all night long.
She’s too young, he’s too arrogant, and together, they’re electric—the perfect recipe for disaster.
**Wrangling the Cowboy is a complete standalone and can be read without reading any of the other books or series, but if you prefer to read in order, start with Hitching the Cowboy as the characters and families do interconnect.**

I loved the story of Maize and Gavin! Couldn’t put it down from the first page, the prologue pulls you in and you instantly start rooting for their HEA. I loved the way Gavin chased Maize, he knows what and who he wants. The connection Maize and Gavin have is the most intense romance I have ever read and it was absolutely beautiful!!! Well done!! We also get to catch up with the other bishop book characters and get a little tease of the next books main characters. If you love the other bishop books, then this book definitely won’t disappoint!!
Finally we read in John’s oldest daughter!!! Maize was amazing and just as strong as all the Bishops lol. Gavin was also amazing and had his work cut out for him with her. At first he was concerned about their ten year age difference but afterwards that was irrelevant. Maize has her moments when I wanted to strangle her when it came to Gavin but when she finally figured out what was right in front of her all these times she finally let her walks down and went for it. Their courting at times gave me anxiety lol but other than that it was very fun to read along with all the cousins and her sister who was a spitfire input. Loved it!!
Gah!!! The Kennedy Fox duo has written another wonderful cowboy romance! Wrangling the Cowboy is my new favorite of this Circle B Ranch series (but I still can’t wait to see what book #4 brings!)!
Gavin, a retired bull rider, and new employee of the family ranch, can’t get his “one-night-stand” off his mind…
Maize, Gavin’s one night stand, and family member or the ranch, seems to have some amnesia about a one night stand she recently had…
I love a good cowboy/ranch romance…and this one SPURRED IT! I loved everything about this western romance! From the scene where they originally met, to the epilogue…this book had my emotions on edge. The characters were fantastic and the storyline had perfect flow! There was an age gap (Gavin being older) and some past issues they each had to work through. I had tears welling up in my eyes at a few spots even! I really, really enjoyed this book and am giving this one and 8 second ride! (5 stars!)
Maize and Gavin….oh where do I start…..I was really looking forward to Maize’s story because of she entered the world of The Bishop Family (and if you haven’t read Chasing Him, the story of her parents you should). I really wanted Maize to get her HEA and I am so glad she gets that chance.
Gavin and Maize started out like most “young” couples do by meeting at a bar and having a chance hot hot hot encounter. Maize does not believe that she can find true happiness and Gavin is there to prove her wrong! This story has a sweet moments along with funny and sultry/hot ones as well. It was also nice to see all the interaction she has with her family and how great the Bishop family is together as well as them welcoming outsiders in to the fold.
Kennedy Fox knows how to write the books that makes you beg for more and hope that there is love out there like this for everyone. I highly recommend reading this book but there are intertwined characters from other books in this series and The Bishop Brothers series too so you would better understand it if you read the back stories of everyone! If you are questioning whether you should read books by Kennedy Fox…DON’T….just do yourself a favor and read them all!
This book was amazing and Gavin and Maize have such a sweet story. Gavin and Maize had one together but she forgot about it until she saw Gavin again at the B&B where she works. The attraction between these two is off the charts hots, steamy and intense. Gavin and Maize’s is a push and pull type of relationship which makes for a book. I fell in love with the Bishop family right away and this family will do just about anything for the ones that they love. I can’t wait for the next book in this series to come out.
I fell in love with the Bishop crew from the get go! It is hard to pick a favorite but Gavin is high on the list. He’s sexy, loyal, determined, swoonworthy, and oh boy can he be dirty. The level of angst between Gavin and Maize was there the whole book and I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough. Even though when it was finished I wanted to forget it all so I could read it for the first time again!!
I loved Wrangling the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox. It’s the story of Maize Bishop, the daughter of John and Mila Bishop; John runs the family’s Bed and Breakfast in Eldorado, Texas. Maize graduated from culinary school and is the head chef at the B&B, and she hopes to own her own catering business some day.
The story is also about Gavin Fox, a ranch hand who trains horses at the Bishop’s ranch. Gavin is a former rodeo champion, but is now ready to settle down, fall in love, and have a family. Gavin grew up in the Houston suburbs, and has traveled around the southwest when he competed in the rodeo circuit.
This book is a wonderful romance novel that is hot! I love all of the characters, and even though some are from other books, this is a stand-alone novel. If you love romance you will love this book! There is never a dull moment, and if you’re like me you’ll have a difficult time putting this book down! Kennedy Fox has written another great novel, and I’m excited to read the next book in this series!
Another hit in the Circle B Ranch series! This time around with get a one-night stand, age gap romance story of Gavin Fox and Maize Bishop. Gavin is a newly retire bull rider and finds a job in a small town on the infamous Circle B Ranch with the Bishop family. Unexpectedly he comes face to face with the woman again that left after their hot and steamy night.
This read was filled with the chase. The want to prove that the one night was meant for more. Although the connection is there Maize is all for avoiding it at all cost even pretending that she does not recall who Gavin is. To add she has been burn badly before and prefers to stop before things get too deep. But what happens when you constantly push the person away and not take the risk? Her heart and mind is at constant battle of wits and will have to figure out what she wants before it is too late.
Such an charming read filled with banter, swoony moments, and entail family that you would love to be a part of. Gavin will have you falling head over heels for this bull rider and push you to point that will have you constantly wanting more.
Y’all. I am so in love with this series by Kennedy Fox.
I honestly cannot get enough of the Bishop world; and with each new book, I fall more and more in love with this family. And of course, the Circle B Ranch.
The Bishop Brothers kids are all grown up. And they are all falling in love! We head back to the ranch for our third installment and it was so comforting to be back. I love how close the Bishop family is and of course, how much they all love each other. Family first.
Maize and Gavin– my new favorites (although I say that about each couple as I read them, lol).
I really liked that Maize was the one to run away from their night together; but Gavin wasn’t having any of that. Oh, no. I loved the way that he wouldn’t accept her pushing him away.
Plus, we love a good Age Gap Romance, amiright??
I love that Kennedy Fox makes each of these books a standalone, yet interconnected in a way that you know the couples well before you read their story. The anticipation for this one was pretty high, I won’t lie. And I was not disappointed with their story in the slightest.
Angsty. Flirty. Steamy.
No one does a cowboy romance like Kennedy Fox.
I love Gavin and Maize so much! It was fun getting back to Circle B Ranch and getting to know their story. The chemistry between these two was hot! Gavin might just be my new book boyfriend.
Retired bull rider Gavin Fox is the newest hire at the Circle B. He’s there to train horses and get a little stability into his life. The last thing he expected was to run into the woman who snuck out on him after an incredible night together.
Maize went home with the handsome stranger certain that she’d never see him again. When he shows up in the dining room of the B&B with the other ranch hands, she pretends she doesn’t know him.
Even with her pretending not to know him, Gavin tries to give her space knowing she’s been hurt before but how long can they fight their connection?
Thanks so much to the authors and Wildfire for this ARC.
I love being back in the Circle B Ranch world. Mazie and Gavin take you on a ride and you just can’t help falling in love. Leave it to these ladies to always give us all the feels and all the steam. Literally I always end a Kennedy Fox book with the biggest smile on my face. This is an absolute must read!!
Maize and Gavin hit it off and have one night together. That’s all Maize wants. Until Gavin shows up working on her family’s ranch. Gavin wants more from her, but she has her walls up. Gavin is sweet and charming while Maize is stubborn. Loved these two together. They had so much chemistry from the very beginning and I didn’t want this book to end.
Such a swoony age gap romance. Gavin and Maize were the cutest couple. There were lots of funny moments but it also had all the feels.
This is Gavin and Maize story and I loved it.
Gavin and Maize meet at a bar. Between drinks and flirting they can’t deny their attraction to each other and end having an unforgettable one night stand. That was what Maize thought it would happen, never to see each other again.
But when Gavin is hired at her family’s ranch, she doesn’t know what to do, because she does have time for a relationship, not after she’s been burned before.
Between Maize denying everything that happened and Gavin is not letting her forget, things get complicated very fast. Who will surrender first?
Although this is book 3 of the Circle B Ranch series, is the first book I read from this series or the Bishop brothers series, I fell in love with all the characters. I’m starting reading all the books of this series now!!
It’s so good to be back on Circle B ranch! I’ve missed the Bishop family!!
Just like all of Kennedy Fox’s characters these two has amazing chemistry and banter I loved seeing the push and pull – and then finally giving in to their HEA.
Wrangling the Cowboy is an interconnected stand-alone. You CAN read it on its own, but it’s so much better knowing all of the connections!!
The ends always leave me with a smile on my face – and this one’s no different!!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Small-town romance at it’s best! Wrangling the Cowboy makes me wish I worked on a ranch, or at least lived next door to one, so I could ask for some sugar. *Wink, wink* Kennedy Fox always knows how to rope me in to their cowboy romances, pun intended. With secondary characters that you’ll fall for just as much as the main ones, you’ll be left counting down the days until the next book in the Circle B Ranch series releases!
Gavin and Maize were fantastic. I have loved all the books so far in this series. Gavin is a retired rodeo rider and Maize works at her families B&B. After a one night stand she sneaks out and Gavin gives chase. As he tried to convince her he is the one for her the tables seem to turn and she will have to win him. Loved the pull and chemistry of these characters and I love going back to the Circle B Ranch. Another star story.
I really enjoyed this! I’m giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
I liked what I saw of Maize before, and while I still liked her in this book, I also wanted to shake her sometimes so she’d stop being a pain. Gavin was amazing, and I absolutely adored him. This was an age gap romance (around 10 years), and I was here for it. Once Maize stopped holding back, she was very mature.
There was a big focus on both their jobs, which I liked since they loved what they did. I wanted more focus on rodeos and seeing the sport, but it made sense that we didn’t get much with where Gavin was at in his life. Despite this basically being a very slow burn, I adored this couple. They were great together, and always entertained me.
One of my favorite things was seeing more of the Bishop family, and also getting to know other ranch hands more. The epilogue got me excited for the next book in this series! Overall this was another great addition to the spin-off series of the Bishop Brothers; highly recommend if you love cowboys, small town, or big interconnected series romances.
I don’t know where to begin with my review, but I can say this. I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Gavin and Maize have such a sweet story and still has those steamy moments that we love. Kennedy Fox does it again and makes you want to finish this book in one sitting so you know how it ends. These characters and this world have to be one of my favorites that I have read. One of my all time favorite things with Kennedy Fox books is the banter between all the characters.
I loved Gavin as soon as he was introduced in this book. The Bishops are such an amazing family to read I love the way the family keeps growing. I can’t see where the next book leads.
Thank you ladies for making me love your writing even more!!!
I enjoyed this one a lot. You can’t go wrong with those Bishop clan. I love that family so much. They are a barrel of laughs along with being a close knit family. I loved Gavin and Maize. They have great chemistry. I felt bad for Gavin because Maize gives him the cold shoulder. I mean if I was her I would be all over Gavin in a heartbeat. I do understand Maize reluctance when it comes to Gavin. I loved watching Maize open up and see the possibilities with Gavin. These two do fan yourself steamy. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
