Bull riding is all Gavin’s known for years, but when it’s time to retire, he can’t let go of the reckless lifestyle. He finds a job that brings him to a small-town Texas ranch and face-to-face with the woman who snuck out after their one-night stand. She can pretend she’s over him, but he’s not letting her go that easily.Maize Bishop spends her days cooking and baking for her family’s bed and … for her family’s bed and breakfast. The last thing she has time for is a relationship, especially when there are no single men within a hundred-mile radius. When a mysterious newcomer flirts with her over drinks, she gives in to his mesmerizing green eyes and goes home with him.
Now that he works for her family’s ranch, she’ll avoid him at all costs.
There are only so many places to hide, and keeping her distance is easier said than done. After months of giving her space, Gavin’s tired of waiting for Maize to admit what he knows they both want—a second round between the sheets. It may only take eight seconds to win a championship, but he’ll prove to her that he can go all night long.
She’s too young, he’s too arrogant, and together, they’re electric—the perfect recipe for disaster.
**Wrangling the Cowboy is a complete standalone and can be read without reading any of the other books or series, but if you prefer to read in order, start with Hitching the Cowboy as the characters and families do interconnect.**

Oooooh! I loved Mazie and Gavin. I was so intrigued by them from the bits we got in Catching the Cowboy that I was so excited to get into this one. I had so many feels while listening to this story. I absolutely love how Gavin was all about settling down. In a lot of stories, even age gaps with older men, the H is still usually a commitment-phobe….. but this time it was all the h. There were quite a few thigs here that were total role reversals and I have to say that I quite enjoyed them! Circle B Ranch is quickly becoming one of my favorite fictional places to visit! I would really love to know these people IRL and go visit the ranch… and hug grandma!!! I am really excited to get into more stories from the Bishop family!
Outstanding Story & Narration MaizeGavin
Wrangling the Cowboy
Circle B Ranch, Book 3
By: Kennedy Fox
Narrated by: Lia Langola, Stephen Dexter
I am loving this series and its characters. I’ve been looking forward to Maize and Gavin’s story since meeting them in “Catching the Cowboy”, Adam and Rowan’s story. After their encounter I had a felling their story was going to be an awesome one and Kennedy Fox did not disappoint one bit. Their story drew me in right from the start and captivated my attention the entire time. Maize Bishop, 25 years old and single, she runs the kitchen in the family’s bed and breakfast, feeding guests and the ranch hands. She works hard and her goes is to have her own catering company. She has not had time to date and after a relationship gone bad with one of the ranch hands she refuses to get involved with anyone who works at the family ranch. One night while out partying she meets a gorgeous guy who is passing thru town, she does something out of the ordinary for her, she has an extremely hot one night stand. Having to go to work she leaves before he gets up, no numbers exchanged no expectations. So when it turns out he is the new worker on the ranch she thinks it is best to ignore him and act like they never met. OMG, swoon worthy Gavin, I loved his patience and how he never gave up on Maize. Well for the record, he is a champion bull rider and trains horses, training even the most stubborn fo them so he figured he’d break thru Maize’s walls eventually and have some fun while doing so. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted with plenty of drama, a touch of angst, some great light-hearted humor and family shenanigans, lots of heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. Kennedy Fox, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride, I loved every minute of it!
And for the wonderful narration, Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They are awesome at portraying these characters, humanizing them as they bring them and their story to life. I love how natural they sound as they perform the characters voices, they take each of the roles and make it their own. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen
It has been a hot minute since I’ve been with the Bishop family and let me just say this, it was so amazing and fun being back on the ranch. Granted the only book I’ve read is Needing Him but oh man the lasting impression this family leaves will warm your heart. This large family loves unconditionally. They know how to work hard and play harder. Well anyways in this spin off series of the Bishop brothers quartet, the kids are all grown up and this book is about the lovely 24 almost 25 year old Maize. She is the head chef/cook for her family’s B&B on the ranch. She is in charge of planning weekly menus and making sure all guests and ranch hands are fed. She is also a walking definition of “once bitten, twice shy”. She has been burned in the past when she fell in love with a cowboy and he left. Enter 35 year old retired bull rider Gavin. They meet at a bar, they hit it off, and then they hit the sheets. Come morning, Maize is gone and Gavin is left dumbfounded. Little do they know that Gavin is the new cowboy her family has hired to help with the horses. What follows is a bunch of denial on Maize’s part and hot as hell flirting on Gavin’s part. I loved this book so much. Kennedy Fox knows how to write fast paced cowboy romances. Seriously no one writes them like Kennedy Fox.

An enjoyable cowboy romance from Kennedy Fox!
Gavin and Maize are a couple written with so much heat and chemistry from the very moment they meet, and that heat and chemistry continues throughout the book. Gavin certainly had his work cut out for him in wooing Maize, and the man was ready to pack it in before Maize realized what she was turning away.
I certainly hope there are more Circle B Ranch books to come – they are witty, charming and enjoyable, and the entire cast of characters are fun to interact with.
Always love me some Circle B Ranch Boys! I seriously can’t get enough and this one just might be my favorite! I loved Mazie and Gavin! They have crazy hot chemistry from the start. Mazie is a strong, stubborn woman who will not give in to her attraction to Gavin easily. I loved Gavin’s patience and how he doesn’t give up. I promise you will love their story as just as much as I do, if not more!
I love the Bishop family! Maize Bishop is the resident cook of the family. She has a strict no fraternizing with the men who help on the ranch. So when a recent one night stand shows up to work at the family ranch she pretends she doesn’t know him. I thought this was childish of her. I loved Gavin and his determination to win Maize’s heart. This was a great read! If you love age-gaps, steamy romances this book is for you!

Couldn’t put it down! I started it intending to just read a few chapters before bed, and I ended up staying up all night reading. I loved Gavin and Maize! Gavin is so sweet and such a gentleman and so so sexy!! Maize is soooo stubborn! I love her self-preservation because I’m the same way, but Gavin definitely didn’t deserve all her hesitation…
Their relationship starts as a chance bar meeting turned one-night-stand, then a few weeks later, Gavin is hired as the new ranch hand on Maize’s family ranch. Only Maize has one rule: never date the ranch hands. So Gavin has to try to convince her that he’s worth taking a chance on, only she refuses to acknowledge that they’ve met before.
I love the Bishop family so much! They are so funny and crazy and they have the biggest hearts. And there are so many of them now! But I love them all!!
This is book 3 of the Circle B Ranch Series, and book 9 in the full Bishop Brothers World, but it can be read as a complete standalone. I think you will get more out of it if you at least read the original four Bishop Brothers books first. Plus they’re amazing so you should definitely read them anyways.
Gah I cannot get enough of the Bishop family and all the ranch workers! Seriously the best cowboy stories out there.
I have been wanting to get my hands on Mazie and Gavin’s story since the ending of the last book. They have so much chemistry with each other whenever they are in the same room, you just knew that their love story would be a hot one!!
I loved how Mazie is different from her rancher family. Inside of going in the family business, well she kinda does but in a different way, she decides to be a chef! So she is the main cook at the B&B. But after having a fun night out and doing something not her style, she never wants to relive it. That is until he comes walking into her B&B.
Gavin was just passing through for a job interview when he decided to have a beer. Little did he know he was going to run into the girl of his dreams….well he thought so at least. He wasn’t expecting to go on the chase of his life.
I just loved these two characters. They fit so perfectly together. And like I said, I love this family and getting a glimpse of the older family members is just a wonderful treat!

Let’s talk about “Wrangling The Cowboy by Kennedy Fox”.
What can I say when in the prologue I already found a super steamy scene? This book was 100% my jam! Gavin and Mazie have met in the local bar and after some heavy flirtation they put their chemistry to test, and dear lord they were hot together. In the next day ashamed and thinking they’d never see each other again, she skips his place. Little did she know that he was heading to work at her family business, the Bishop’s Circle B ranch.
Gavin is a retired professional bull rider that’s trying to find a place for him to settle down. Mazie is the head chef of the B&B in the ranch, seriously bring some snacks while reading this, because I wanted to eat all her food. She also has been burned by a guy who used to work at the ranch, so when she finds Gavin there, she start to run from him as if he was a plague!
It was a lot of fun seeing Mazie giving him a run for his money, for a long time. She would not give him another chance, even though they fit together perfectly. For a good part I was into this cat and mouse game, but that’s when their age gap show off and she started to frustrate the hell of me and Gavin! If there is a definition of stubborn, Mazie’s name is there. So I cheer out loud when the tables turned, and she finally could see how her hot and cold behavior was maddening.
This book made my question my sanity, because why in the heavens it was my first in the series? The Bishop family is a lot of fun and I’m vowing to read all of them, because they sure deserve my attention. Also, I’m glad they gave Mazie some hard truths and good advices. Gavin and her happy ending was awesome and I can’t wait for the release of the next Circle B Ranch book.
Swoony, delicious heaven!!! I’ve fallen in love again with another Kennedy Fox couple! The Bishops always have my heart, I’ve loved them since the beginning and it just gets better and better. I’m already dying for the next book in this series!
Swoon alert for Mr.Gavin Fox, he’s rugged, sexy asf, so deliciously dirty, and just melts my heart. Maize comes along for one steamy night together and then vanishes, but he hasn’t forgotten her. He fights for what he wants, chases it, and doesn’t let up no matter how much gets in his way.
Maize Bishop is sweet, sassy, sexy, stubborn, and guarded. I just love her character so much, she’s so fun. I was very frustrated with her at times. She gives as much as she gets. And she can’t take her eyes of Gavin, no matter how hard she tries.
Just a must read that you’ll want to sit and devour all in one sitting. This story pulls at your heart strings and completely has you consumed. I just didn’t want it to end, I absolutely need more ASAP!
Overall this book has left me speechless!!
Maize is a strong headed character that is set in her way. She has a hard time realizing she may need to change or she will lose something she has been looking for.
Gavin is a retired bull rider that is realizing that he knows what he wants and will not stop until he get it. What happens when the one he wants makes him work for it? Will he be able to hold off until she finally realizes what has been in front of her or will he move on?
These two together had a chemistry that was off the charts hot!!! The banter between all of the Bishop ladies was fun to read and had me laughing. Gavin fits into the ranch life like he was always there and he also has the banter with all the guys.
I can’t wait for the next Circle B Ranch book!!
I adored Kennedy Fox’s Wrangling the Cowboy!
Gavin is a champion bull riding rodeo star in need of a change after he retires from the pro circuit. He finds himself at the Bishop ranch as the newest horse trainer. Maize is strong willed, bossy, stubborn as well as loyal and loving. She’s also very insecure about relationships after being burned in the past and never dates anyone who works for the family ranch.
After the hottest one night stand she’s ever experienced, Maize discovers Gavin works for her family. So, so, what’s a girl to do? Pretend she doesn’t know him, of course!
What follows is one of the best romance pursuits I’ve ever read! Gavin is in it for the long game . . . breaking Maize just like a wild filly! He’s ready to settle down and knows he’s found his home at the Circle B and with Maize – if he can convince her of that.
Maize is too burned to accept that Gavin is for real, but what if it’s too late when she finally realizes he is? It may not be too late, but Gavin is going to make Maize work for another chance . . . and he did . . .and I loved every minute of it!
These two were hot and sweet and just perfect together. The story was amazing and I loved the give and take between them. Wrangling the Cowboy was a wild ride for sure! 5 stars!
There is nothing better than coming back to the Bishop ranch and seeing all these characters but this time we are focusing on Gavin and Maize. Their chemistry was off the charts, the emotions took me across the board and I devoured this in one read with no sleep. The authors did such a great job writing these characters that I felt like I wanted to be besties with Maize and her circle not to mention I had the munchies the whole time reading about her cooking.
Another great addition to the Circle B Ranch collection. This was a great story that I could not put down. They had such an explosive connection even though she tried to deny it. He is a hot, sexy former pro bull rider, who could resist him. She is a stubborn, chef afraid to follow her heart. This cowboy has finally met his match. I loved catching up with all the other Bishops, Grandma is a hoot. A must read.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
This series just keeps getting better and I cannot get enough.
I have been dying to get my hands on Maize’s story for what seems like forever, and it was definitely worth the wait. Maize and Gavin are perfect. Their story is full of chemistry and so so entertaining. I was hooked from the start and could not put it down.
I am in love with Circle B Ranch and I can’t wait to take another trip.
Circle B Ranch has a new horse trainer and another Bishop off the market. Kennedy Fox keeps outdoing themselves, these Bishop kids are just as addictive if not more than their parents.
Mazie and Gavin are so adorable that I couldn’t put this book down. Don’t run from love, Always fight for the one you want.
Oh, that epilogue has me needing to know what’s going to happen to the next Bishop kid.
ALL THE FEELS LADIES!!!! Loved Gavin! Loved Maize!!! Love this family. These two have chemistry so HOT it could light the pages on fire! Like seriously, where is the fire extinguisher? Maize defied rove me crazier through half of this book but the way Gavin handled had me SWOONING!!! So damn good ladies!!!
I truly can’t WAIT for Kenzie! That girl cracks me up. But in the meantime BRING ON ELLE!!!
3.5
Wrangling the Cowboy is the story of Gavin Fox, bull rider and champion who gets to work on the Bishop Ranch after he retires from the circuit. He there meets Maize Bishop, she’s the chef in the family’s B&B.
After a previous encounter she pretends she doesn’t know him, she promised not to date anyone that works for her family after getting her heart broken and she’s afraid it’ll happen again. Gavin is determined to win her over, and we go thru the highs and lows of their relationship, it’s steamy, sexy but they’re both very stubborn specially Maize. Sometimes I wanted to smack some sense Into her. At last they find their happy ending.
Why didn’t I rate it higher? I love the books I’ve read so far on this series, even though they are stand-alones it gets confusing at times with the amount of characters specially if you haven’t read the other books. Also the epilogue ended in a weird conversation hinting towards the next book.
Overall is a good read.
GAHH!!! This book!!!!
I LOVE LOVE Kennedy Fox books, and Wrangling the Cowboy was no exception.
Gavin and Maize’s chemistry is off the charts.
“I’ve told myself that if I had a chance to be yours, I’d do anything in my power to make you happy.”
The book has all my favorites tropes it’s steamy, age-gap, small town romance with COWBOYS!
Gavin Fox a retired bull rider has just interviewed for a new job at the Bishop ranch and stop at the Circle B Saloon for a drink before heading out. He can’t help but stare at the gorgeous smart mouthed beauty at the bar. Not able to hold back a laugh any longer at the her antics he ends up buying her a drink and playing pool with her. He takes her back to where he’s staying and they have an amazing night. He wakes up the next morning to an empty bed.
Maize doesn’t do one night stands and is extremely embarrassed, so much so that when she runs into the sexy Gavin she pretends she doesn’t know him and pretends their night together never happened.
Maize at times really annoyed me with her back and forth ( I know she’d been hurt in the past but AAHHH).
Their story is steamy and lol funny, I love the Bishop family!
This was a really good book. I love a guy that knows what he wants and goes for it, and who doesn’t play games of the heart. I loved how sassy Maize was and how determined Gavin was. While I would have liked to have seen a little bit more drama, this was book was a really good read.
