Ava Pearson needs a job—yesterday. After her husband’s death, her life in the city became impossible, and a crisis with her young son caused her to lose her job as a reporter. Now Ava is living in her childhood home again, without prospects, but not without hope. If she can just get enough money to tide her over while she pitches an article to an even better big-city paper, Ava feels she can get … get back on track. The only problem is…what jobs are available in her one-horse town?
Branson Beckett is successful by most measures of the word. He’s the owner of a profitable ranch on the brink of expansion and is now looking for a few good ranch hands to help him out. However, he wasn’t thinking of his best friend’s little sister when it came to hard labor. No, he’d thought of her in other hard situations, but they usually involved the dark of night and his great big bed. Dreams that had no place in reality.
But Ava is convincing. She needs to get out of her parents’ house, and Branson needs her help interviewing his ranch hands. It’s a win-win. He’ll fix his personnel problem, and she’ll write an article about it.
As personnel issues lead to personal pleasure between them, Ava’s big city dream drifts away, replaced by visions of a family in the country. In the end, Branson will have to face tough truths about himself, his ranch, and his relationship. And if he fails to see the light, he’s going to lose the love of his life.

Wrangling His Best Friend’s Sister is Book One of the Beckett Brothers Series this is Branson the oldest brothers story. Ava Pearson has moved back home where her childhood crush still lives Bran her brothers best friend. A heart warming story with tragedy, passion, a stubborn cowboy and a strong women. Leslie North is such a fantastic writer and these sexy Beckett brothers are hot stubborn men. You won’t be able to put this down once started.
I love sexy cowboy stories and Bran and Ava didn’t disappoint. Even though he tried to fight it, Bran took Ava and Cam in and couldn’t help but fall in love with them. There’s a ranch, there’s filth, there’s heartbreak, and there’s redemption and love.

She’s down her luck. He’s in dire straits. Neither considers themselves to be each other’s first choice, but they could end up being each other’s last hope. North takes hearts on sentimental journey driven by friendship, fueled by desperation and hounded by lust. Ava and Branson need each other, they just never knew how much. Wrangling His Best Friend’s Sister is anything but vanilla, North keeps it spicy, but refuses to hold back when it comes to the emotional side of romance.
Ava has come home after losing her husband but she isnt letting life get her down she is determined and the one man that can help her is her teenage crush. Bran has a problem on his ranch and his best friends little sister has just made it harder, but she has good people skills. This was a really fun read with a bit of a mystery that does keep you wondering and a hot cowboy that can ride a horse. I cant wait to read about the other two brothers.

Really good love story about a cowboy, Bran who finds his attraction to his best friend’s sister, Ava irresistible. She has just moved back from the city and needs help getting her life back in order after the passing of her husband. Bran hires her and Ava and her young son, Cam move on to the ranch. Their friendship develops and the desires take over. However, it isn’t until Ava notices some things about Bran and tries to enlighten him that he shuts down his feelings for Ava. It’s a painful lesson Bran learns and begins to make amends and not just to Ava. I enjoyed the story and appreciated the gradual build of characters and how they relate to each other. It is a good base to continue the series with Bran’s brothers.

This was a super quick little read and an intriguing start to a new series There’s a bit of a second chance feel added to this best friend’s sibling story that made it all the more enticing to me – I’m a sucker for a second chance. I admired Ava’s spunk. She’s feisty and independent and working so hard to achieve her dreams even though life threw her an unexpected curveball. Bran made me a little mental. He’s so stubborn and set in his ways. I got a little dizzy for the number of times I swung back and forth between loving and hating him. Together, Ava and Bran have a lot to work through and I enjoyed watching them do it. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Delicious Western Series, Book 1.
I enjoyed book one of this modern western series that takes place in Texas. This storyline is about Bran and Ava. Bran inherited the cattle farm after his dad died. Ava is the sister of Holt, Bran’s Best Friend and hopefully an investor into Bran’s new cattle project. Ava is a widow who has come home with her three year old son, Cam. She has asked Bran to work and live at his ranch so she and Cam can move out if her Laurent’s home. He reluctantly agrees but ends up having her live in the main house.
Emotions quickly become heated and acted upon. However Bran has issues and drives Ava and son back to her parents home. Can he figure out what’s he needs to do, and quickly?
Loved book one and am definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Now it’s on to book two which features another brother. Peace.

Ava moves back home after losing her journalist job. She is a widow with a three year old little boy. Bran runs his family ranch after his parents passed away. He and Ava’s brother were best friends and he’s trying to get him to invest in the ranch. But there is money missing and he can’t find out what happened to it. Ava wants a job on the ranch to save up money so she can go back to Dallas and write for a paper. Bran finally agrees to hire her to help find the money. Bran keeps himself at arms length from everyone and he’s not listening to his workers and he’s about to lose everyone including the woman he’s fallen for.
Sexy cowboys, a single mother, and some steamy sex. Short and sweet.

This is a wonderful well-written story, the storyline is a fast-paced sweet and steamy story.
This is the first book in the Did Someone Say Cowboy? series. It does not end on and cliffhanger and is a standalone story. I can’t wait to read what the other Beckett brothers are up to.
Ava always had a crush on her older brothers best friend and she’s back home widowed and with her little son, she needs more independence from her parents and convinces Bran to give her a job. Soon, their relationship grows deeper but can Bran keep his stubbornness from ruining the best thing to happen to him in years?

Sweet, strong and determined! If you’re looking for an emotional rollercoaster ride with unpredictable events that can bring you to tears or raise you up. Congrats my friends you’ve found it. Satisfying is an understatement, this baby comes packing a punch that’s sure to please. Action packed, steady paced, heart pounding, pulse racing, smooth flowing, page turning wonder that grabs your attention and holds it until the last word. Twixt and twined and put through the wringer as we witness all the trials and tribulations the characters face. You get drawn into this world so deep everything else ceases to exist. All the drama, uncertainty, angst and intrigue keep you riveted on a razors edge. The characters are authentic, original and realistic with such depth and individuality it adds a little spice to the mix that keeps things stirred up. All the scenes are so graphically detailed in such colorful descriptions to give you a full understanding and realism that flows through each scenario. Incredible job Leslie, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
Another great book by Leslie North who once again brings strong well developed characters and weaves an entertaining story. She does a great job building the story and pulls you in with her descriptive writing and detailed scenes. She gives Ava and Branson a hot chemistry and throws in a few issues that will need to be dealt with in order to reach their HEA. I loved and highly recommend this book. I thought that this was a really good read. This is a very emotional story about a hard headed man and a wounded hearted woman. Both these characters had baggage and that is something I always like. I think it creates an even playing field. It was very easy to feel for Ava. Her life was in order and then everything fell apart. I also felt bad for Bran. His life hadn’t been easy and he had to step up when the need arose. I loved the best friend’s sister angle and the chemistry these two shared. There is plenty of tension, emotional turmoil, drama, heat and sparks as the story unfolds. A very enjoyable book and a solid start to this series. I look forward to reading more of the Beckett Brothers.
The first in this series, our story brings together Bran and Ava. I enjoyed the characters, especially the interactions between Bran and Cam, Ava’s son. I do wish there would have been some resolve between Bran and Scout, one of his brothers but hoping that is to come in the next book. I look forward to additional stories in this series!
