Meet Liv Michaels
It may have been seven years, but I’d know him anywhere. Sure, he’s grown, filled out in all the right places, but his captivating blue eyes and cocky grin are exactly the way I remember. Even though I’d much rather forget.
Liv Michaels is almost there. She’s smart, determined and weeks away from landing the job she’s dreamed about for years. Time healed old wounds, even her … broken heart from the devastation of being crushed by her first love.
Meet Vince Stone
Women love a fighter, especially a good one. Lucky for me, I’m damn good. But there’s one woman that isn’t interested. Not again, anyway.
Vince ‘The Invincible’ Stone is every woman’s fantasy…strong, sexy, confident and completely in control. Growing up surrounded by chaos, he’s learned never to get too attached. Love will drag you down. He adores women, treats them well, puts their own needs before his own…for the night anyway. With the biggest fight of his life coming up, his focus should be on training.
When fate brings Vince & Liv back together again, there’s no denying the chemistry is still there. But can Vince erase the old scars their past left behind? Or will Liv hurt him instead?

I really liked the first book in this series so I was very excited to try this one. While I liked it, I didn’t love it.
The two main characters were very likeable. Liv was a good and decent person but put in a bad situation. Vince was a great male characters. He had the bad boy thing down pat but yet, he was good and kind to those that mattered to him.
The sexy times between these two were off the charts!
My main issue was the predictability of this book. I found that I was skipping ahead because I had an idea how it was going to go down.

So this is the second Vi Keeland book I have read and the second MMA fighter book by her that I have read. I didn’t think I could love another story like I did her first book Worth the Fight, but she did it again….I loved Worth the Chance just as much as book 1. I like a good second chance love story as much as the next person, but add a MMA fighter to the mix and the story just gets that much better 🙂 This book was so good I had trouble putting it down. Again the story flowed flawlessly and the storyline was amazing. The story is told in Dual POV, which I LOVE by the way. It was great getting both Liv’s and Vinny’s side of the story.
Like I said earlier this story is a second chance love story for Liv and Vinny. We met Vinny in book 1 when he was a teenager working out with Nico. In this book he has grown into a mature adult. What we find out in this book is that Liv and Vinny have a history together from back in high school. Liv was his English tutor but she was also in love with him back then. Vinny also cared about Liv in high school but his home life made him feel not worthy of her. So in the end he ended up doing something that hurt her. This part of the story is mixed into flashback chapters during the story. I thought the back and forth between past and present was done excellently. The past was brought into the story at the best times. So now we are back to the present and Liv and Vinny have come face to face after 7 years apart. What happens from here is a story of learning to trust and open their hearts again to each other. I loved them as a couple. Their interactions felt believable to me. The writing was so good that I felt like I knew Vinny and Liv and were a part of their lives. I felt their pain, and their happiness. And their sex life….HOLY MOLY. Vi Keeland knows how to write a spicy book 😉 I think my kindle melted a couple times while reading this book….lol. I loved Vinny character because he was a great mix between Alpha male, and swoony heartthrob. Liv was also a great character….she didn’t annoy me at all.
I really enjoyed that we got to see Nico and Elle throughout the whole book. Nico is retired now and is Vinny’s trainer and is now married to Elle. I loved that we got to see a continuation of their story and see how things worked out for them. With that said this book can be read as a stand alone, because the storyline is completely different and Nico and Elle are in the story to help support the characters.
I would DEFINITELY recommend this book/series to Everyone. If you are looking for a HOT Alpha MMA Fighter, then you need to meet both Vinny (Book 2) and Nico (Book 1). If you have already read Worth the Fight then you for sure want to read Worth the Chance…..you won’t be sorry.
Another great book by Vi Keeland – she never disappoints
Loving this series!!
